  1. Last night we took advantage of the dual-WST and ran 2 MortiKal (Villain) SF.
    First run was a bit of a struggle at the end with Posi as we had no debuff and his Cleansing Flames (imps) were surviving too long and healing him but eventually our teamwork improved and we took Posi down.
    Time was just under an hour.
    Team A:

    We then ran ti again but with a much larger team and Posi was knocked out so fast he didnt even get to summon his Imps once.
    Time taken was approx 33mins.
    Team B (sorry about the poor quality):

  3. Well colour me brown and call me a dip-*****.
    I had checked out that page but didnt click on any of the TYPE links (Ally, Core Ally, etc).

    Time to do some reading.

    Thanks to everyone for this
  4. OK I searched but I failed.
    I tried paragonwiki and these forums and I cant find what Im after.

    Ohh right I havnt said what Im after yet.

    What does each Lore pet bring to my character?
    Any character?
    What does the Longbow Cataphract bring?
    What about the Warden and Nullifier?
    Paragonwiki has NO actual data (Warden provides a x% targeted heal or +Res or ....?).

    Do the Carnies do Psi damage? Do the higher tier pets have that -Een/Rec Mask of Vitality (or whatever its called)?

    What do the Storm Lore pets do?

    Can someone point me to where I can find the data on these pets?

    Very very very much appreciated

  6. Hi all,
    well tonight Sister Psyche ask, nah pleaded, nah begged, nah got onto her knees and while looking up through her batting eye-lashes and bitting on her bottom lip asked in a very unlady like fashion me to stop Clamour from making all that dreadful noise.

    So what did I do?
    Well I [SUBJECT MATTER REMOVED BY SISTER PSYCHE]

    After that delightful experience I gathered some friends and we proceeded to steamroll through and kick Clamours butt in 1hr and 51 mins.
    And apart from a single individual who went all LEEROY JENKINS during one of the destroy Sonic device missions (ahem me ahem) we had no problems at all.

    Id like to thank the following friends who stood up to be counted, doing what is right and not easy, what is the best for all and not 'politically correct'. These friends - they are HEROES!!!!!

    Roar Power
    Golem Zero
    Netherworld Envoy
    No. 107
    Kaori Yamamoto
    E u r e k a
    Shade Guardian
    Kinetic Inferno
  7. I love this idea.

    Just to play devils advocate IF I can find the Forum Post on the forums the devs do link the start/finish times to a website that displays that time with a whole bunch of cities around the world-
    Example Post: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=269498

    This has = Start Time: 4:00 a.m. PDT / 7:00 a.m. EDT / 12:00 p.m. BST / 13:00 CEST which is hyperlinked to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldcloc...0&sec=0&p1=224.
    BUT you still need to go through half a dozen clicks to get there IF you remember where to find the post.
  8. Idea:
    When im using the Tailor or Trainer or Respeccer (?) allow me the option to view all my Chat windows.

    Reason:
    It annoys me when Im working on a new costume or respec (especially the respec) and I cant chat to my mates on the game.
    In the past its been when I was asking for advice on what power to select or even "hey how does a black/black nrg blast look?" or when trying to explain something to a newish player.

    Extra:
    For the Tailor its not such a BIG issue as you can save you current costume, exit the tailor and reload it and get back to work but if your having a running discussion or on a channel doing this all the time is - well just not an option.

    Problems/Options:
    Based on the current Tailor/Train/Respec windows which take up the entire screen it would be difficult to allow even the default chat window and not have it block part of the options. So the Devs would need to rework those screens to allow space for your chat windows.
    That being said also having a "Show/Hide Chat" toggle would resolve this - it allows me to chat with my mates while doing my respec/costume but also hide those windows when I need to.

    Options considered and discarded:
    Use Skype (et all) = not everyone I talk to in the game is a friend. Sometimes they are people in the SG or Global Channels that I dont know.

    Thank you for your time and responces
  9. And for the 4th time this week we will have downtime tonight (at 11pm EST).
    Standard 2 hours but with NO patch notes.

    Looking at a LGTF tonight (no master run )
  10. Hi all,
    well this Monday was the end of dbl xp sop the game went down at approx 9-9:15pm EST. Narook and Leo Darkheart were running some tip missions and we had a fairly large team taking part.
  11. Its a pretty amazing kick and all the foes are so shaken by it they attack with less vigor.

    "Holy crap did you see that? We hear a Tank was coming in so thought we'd get some slow as Hammer/Axe/SuperStrength dude and instead we see Kicks. KICKS!!!!! Since when does a Tank KICK people and actually hurt them in any meaningful way? End of the world is nigh. DOOOOOOOM"

    Ice/Stone Tanker

    Also check out this thread. It is a very recent discussion (already at 2 pages).
    I posted an initial build on that thread that was WAY OVER on S/L Def (~52% without EA active).

    A new build has been done but I left it at home (am at work atm) but has 48% S/L Def and 46% E/NE Def without using EA.
    EA with 1 foe in range adds approx 2.6% to all types except Psi.

    The new build has 1 set of Kinetic Combats and only 1 purple set in Fault (and only cause those purples are relatively cheap. Ill be using Stupefy until I get to level 47).

    However I dont take SS/SJ/FLy as I have Ninja/Beast Run and JetPacks instead so you'll need to drop something to take Fly. But Hover can be used instead of CJ - it just has a higher End Cost.
  13. Ive redone my build after Infini's suggestions.
    I normally do a build with as much Def as I can get and then look at how much Ive got and can I afford to reduce it in order to get better value elsewhere - sometimes however I suffer from Defence-peen (kinda like e-peen).
    Ahem...

    Anyway new build is.... at home (damn it).
    But Def S/L is around 48.1%, E/NE is 46.x%.

    Ohh by the way I am NOT perma Hasten - I forgot I had the Force Feeback +Rech proc in Kick and it was active. Hasten is about 22ish secs off Perma but Hoarfrost is 10 seconds over Perma when Hasten is active. So in-game Hoarfrost should be something like 10 seconds off perma (no maths was used in this guestimation ).

    Like Postagulous I used the metalic costume with blend (blue and red or blue and white) with the small Clockwork shoulders and an enclosed helmet with accessories and the Wisps aura.
  14. I just made an Ice/Stone a few days ago as I wanted another Tanker and have always wanted to do Ice/.
    Paired with /Stone and he is a mitigation jaugernaut. Chilling Embrace + Fault + Tremor. I put the Impeeded Swiftness +Smash Dam Proc in CE so Ive got effectively 2x Damage Aura's.
    The Zinger +Psi Dam proc in Fault for additional damage.

    Only Purple set is the Stuns which is fairly cheap (well in comparison to Heca's anyway ).

    Here are my stats:
    Def
    S/L = 52.3%
    F/C = 14.5%
    E/NE = 43.5%
    Psi = 15.4%
    (Add +6.28% when I hit Energy Absorbption with 5 foes nearby to all execpt Psi)

    Res
    S/L = 23.5%
    F = 33.5%
    C = 135.09%
    E/NE/T/P = 0%

    Regen = 310%
    MaxHP = 2529.924 (3534 with Hoarfrost - capped from 3596.1) - HP Hard cap baby!!
    EndRec = 3.84/s
    EndUse = 1.43/s
    MacEnd = 115.9%

    Hasten = Perma
    Hoarfrost = Perma

    Debuff Res
    Def = 51.9%
    Recharge/Run = 80%

  15. Hi all,
    well the work dinner got cancelled so with Dbl XP on the go some regular stuff was run and then (and Plantatia is going to HATE me for this) I ran some missions for people where Statesman helps a lot.
    Yes a Hero-side mish on Friday.

    Sorry Plant.
  16. Hi all,
    Plantatia is still in Candadia this Friday and I have a work dinner to go to.

    I am sure however that someone somewhere will want to run something and seeing as though most ppl on Australia channel are Villains FNV will still be alive in some fashion
  17. Hi all,
    this Monday we did the 1st Borespec (ahem - Hero Respec) Trial as it was the WST.
    We also ran a Treespec (Villain Respec). Now normally this wouldnt happen as Monday night is Hero night but a lot of ppl were clamouring for it so in a moment of weakness I gave in (well they would have run it anyway so why not join in the fun ).

    The LGTF is next week so I foresee (using my crystal ball) that we will help Lady Grey buy some hair dye. Maybe after that she will be called Lady Blonde? Or Lady Redhead?
    Maybe if we do a MoLGTF she will go for a "granny-purple" rinse instead?
  18. My last post was of support for an improved character generator with a testing zone (and reasons why) rather than support for unlimited repecs before level 6.
    It was based on my first post so I think I may have hijacked this thread unintentionally

    Damn tangents
  19. You mean a test server that is advertised as an option during character creation.
    A test server that isnt a pain to install and actually use (Ive read so many forum threads about problems with the Test Server).

    I didnt know we had that?

    Even then why should I have to create my character on one server and then recreate on my live server of choice? Its not very intuitive. Its not very user-friendly.
    So do we have something? Yes.
    Is it sufficiently implemented? Hell no.

    "Read the forums" people wll say.
    First time MMO players may find the forums daunting.
    We should be making the game easier for new players to understand, play around with.
    Saying there is no EASY way to test, instead you have to install a 2nd version of the game and make some manual changes so you can test a character and then when ur happy recreate that same character on another server is a half baked idea. Lets flesh it out some.

    For those of us who have played the game for a while we know these things. With experience comes knowledge.
    The devs are doing a LOT of work to make the game easier for new players.
    This would also help.

  21. I think the OP actually meant looking at the powers FUNCTION not just the FORM.
    What does the power do INGAME against enemies rather than what does your toon do when you click the power.

    This I think is more inline with what a lot of ppl (myself included) have asked for with the character generator. An actual zone where you can run around and attack those unkillable "dummies" to see how your powers look.
    It would be nicer if we could actually fight/defeat something in this zone so you can see how powers like Levitate work and how damaging they are. Of course these mobs dont cound for XP, debt, drops, # of kills, etc.

    For example when I first played this game I made a Corruptor and died so often as I didnt know the mechanics and had unrealistic expectations for that AT (a friend told me how awesome his Corr was but he didnt classify he was lvl 50 with full IO Sets).

    This would obviously be more helpfull when looking at your toon at level 25+ rather than level 6. By the time you've hit level 25 as a new player (so no PLing) thats a lot of time invested and a "just re-roll" may make some want to leave the game.
  22. Hi all,
    unfortunately real life snuck up on me on Friday so I wasnt able to game.
  23. I normally take Body for PP but also dont mind Lazer Beam Eyes (LBE).
    Its a ranged attack and I can slot 3-4x Devastations for 12% Regen, +2.25% Max HP and +3% Dam (if I can afford the 4th slot).
    I also put in the Chance to Hold - Im surprised how often I see the hold actuallt kick in.
    Its also good for EB fights when there is little in the way of Hold attacks in the team and also good for Hami and LGTF. Instead of my Melee toon not doing much during the green phase I can spam LBE and 1/7 attacks it should activate. Its recharge when my toon is slotted it between 1.5-2 secs so I can LBE almost non-stop.

    If so this is only allowed if you have a Soldier of Arachnos AT (SoA) and chose any of the Crab powers.
  25. Hi all,
    with Plantatia either still flying back to Canadia (sorry couldnt help it) or severly jet-lagged Im lookign to get the Born In Battle Accolade (http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Born_in_Battle_Badge).

    This grants +5% Max HP and +5% Max End.
