The idea is meant to include the total successful "Guardian Teams" from ALL Servers and so will unlock the same new zone.
I would also be looking for a progression for the new zone to be completed. By this I mean 2-3 weeks after the zone is selected it is opened but is a warzone/or very limited in space - a few missions, 1 contact, outdoor medical bay like in the hollows, etc.
After a month(?) as the zone becomes more populated/cleaned up buildings appear with more NPC's and more missions, vendors, etc.
Each month(?) for a cpl of months more content becomes available.
The limit of the zone can be decided upon by the devs for whatever storyline they want:
- Warzone - is ALWAYS a warzone style. It is contantly being raided by Rikti, or unscrupulous types have taken over.
- Low Life-Style - zone is taken back but only poor people live there now. Is a haven for low-life scum.
- Middle Life-Style - zone is taken back but nothing major is going to be built.
- High Life-Style - zone is taken back and people with more INF than sense decide living in what used to be a warzone is the latest thing "Every weekend I get my butler to roam the beaches looking for unexploded bombs to decorate my foyer - I have lost 3 butlers in the last 2 months - good thing they're cheap ohahahaha" -

this idea just poped into my head and wanted to get some opinons.
Overview
Allow the players to decide which new zone gets unlocked based on in-game events.
Please Explain
The devs create X number of new zones (basic to begin with) that exist outside of the Rikti Barriers.
Each new zone entrance is actually an attack point that the Rikti are attacking and trying to break through.
Each entrance allows a team/league to enter to fight off the invaders by forming a Guardian Team (name will be changed to be more appropriate).
The zones design/layout is just for the area to be fought in so will be small.
After a period (month?) the zone with the MOST number of SUCCESSFUL Guardian Teams will unlock that zone.
Bascially that zone has had the Rikti repelled so successfully that we have taken it back. It then stays locked until new Rikti Walls are erected which will allow the devs to fully design the new zone.
Initially it will be bare (maybe 1 Store only near the entrance) but over time more stores (origin specific), Trainers, even Trams will be added as it becomes populated by the populace.
I understand this would be a lot of work but it is just an idea -

Yes it states on all the links that the Rewards will be unlocked on the 28/04.
Guess I was over excited and didnt pay attention.
Unless I WAS right and the devs read my post and realised they made the mistake and have fixed those pages - I smell a conspiracy....

Hi all,
for those unaware "today" (ahem Tuesday 2pm NSW time) the Vanguard pack will be awarded to all players who maintained an uninterupted account bewteen 1/2 and 18/4.
This includes:
- the Vangard Pack [Vanguard Costume pieces and a MVAS - miniature, non-combat replica of the Vanguard HVAS (Heavy Vanguard Assault Suit)].
- Chest emblem
- Badge (for you badge-whxxxs out there - you know who you are)
- Emote (alignment based)
So tomorrow afternoon make sure to log in and look at all the wonderfull costume pieces that no-one buys with their Vangaurd Merits (jokes). -

While I can understand the mentality behind doing Maintenance during the least affected times if that time is the "main" time for a particular zone it is going to be a MASSIVE issue for that player base.
Im sorry but anything before 10:30pm is just unacceptible.
I wonder what the size of the player base for -11GMT (looks to be the smallest geographical time zone). -

Im also assuming you had Hide turned on in Mids but didnt have the "Attacked" setting enabled to only show the defence value while Hide is active but you are fighting (only 1/2 the Def value from Hide applies).
To check (or enable this) in Mids:
- Options > Configuration > "Effects & Maths" tab
- Under the Supression section tick "Attacked"
- Click OK
What this means is for ALL powers that suppress when you attack or are attacked (Hide, Stealth, Cloaking Device, etc) only half the Def value will be included in the "View Total" window. -

The time the updates are being deployed is annoying for the Oceanic regions as well as its 9pm-11pm our time.
That being said no matter WHAT time the update is deployed SOMEONE SOMEWHERE will have their play time disrupted.
Im sure if it was moved 3 hrs later to midnight (+10 GMT) it would affect someone else just as much.
The downtime has to affect the LEAST number of players - this means the US.
The rest of us just have to accept and get over it.

Personally (1 small vote) I would LOVE for the devs to FIX certain major issues before adding new content:
Lag - seriously trying to stop the Prisoners from escaping is so bad for me that I now dont play any Melee toons on the BAF. My powers often take 3-4 seconds to activate by which time some of the prisoners have run past. Even moving can be a problem.
I have a 14.5Mbps Internet connection (ADSL2+) running on a pc that can handle Ultra Mode (i5 2500K - 8GB DDR3 - GTX460 SOC). I have turned my graphics to "medium" and STILL lag.
Potential Fix: change the layout so instead of having the 5? doors spread out add a pentagon (5-sided) shaped building with doors on all sides and the prisoners escaping from there. To avoid allowing group1 on door1 affecting doors2 and 5 (adjacent doors) add 50' long (guess?) walls between the sides.
Dropouts - Ive never suffered from a Drop-out or Mapserv but from what Im hearing is a major problem.
There is a time for new content and people have been waiting for the eagerly anticipated Incarnate stuff for a while but it is now time for stability.
If the game becomes unplayable then new content wont matter.

Does this mean that if I did the original WST and DID get the NOTW (or double Merits) if that same toon runs the new WST will it get another NOTW (or double Merits)?

So as a side issue can the location of all UI elements be saved to a INI/Config file on each device - ovbiously if you add a new element on Device1 it wont exist on Device2 but that is a small price to pay in my opinion.

Nope cause thats not how I want my window.
In NO way am I saying that is a bad layout its just not how I want it.
Me: well I want all the power trays to be the same size. You can see that 1-3 are smaller than the add-in trays (4-0).
Im paedantic and would want them all to be aligned.
Also if I stack them and I want to move that stack they should be docked/linked so I can move all at once (just like I can for the standard trays).
As an option add the dock/undock icon to the top-left of each tray number so each can be undocked independant of the other. -
Hi all,
tonight ill be running the new "Admiral Sutter Task Force" (levels 20-40).
This will not be any kind of speed-run. We will be taking our time, reading the NPC Dialogue, etc.
TF will form up at 8:30PM NSW time in IndPort. At least 4 ppl are required for the TF.
The contact is a "rear" admiral so please prepare plenty of rear jokes for the old man -
How about the League Leader gets to see who has clicked ENTER and who hasnt?

Forbin I think there was some mis-understanding.
I didnt mean that Heroes shouldnt need to buy GR in order to get Patron Powers. They should.
I meant Heroes shouldnt need to buy GR in order to get a respec.
Redside has the option to take a respec after unlocking the Patron Pools (free respec).
Blueside does not get a free respec.
This was meant to be about BALANCE - equal options for all.
Yes swapping sides is easy - but you shouldnt have to unless ALL alignments have to.
Proposed Fix = give Heroes a free respec when they unlock APP's just like Villains get. Make Heroes have to unlock them just like Villains. Balance. -

Im trying to find a way that would be equal to all no matter what Alignment or expansions some has purchased. So unless a free respec is added to Blueside once the APP are unlocked...
I wasnt aware of the Candy Cane option. But this still is only available to run during the Winter Event or shortly after when CC are still avail on the Market. -
We need to also discuss the "cost" involved to respec.
Just to recap currently we have 4 ways to do obtain a respec:
- Vet Rewards
- Issue Releases USUALLY come with a respec (or two) but not always
- Respec Recipes (currently 200Mil on the Markets)
- Respec Trials
Now to also include a parallel path - alternate Builds. This however doesnt allow you to reslot all/most of your current enhancements (only the 10 you can 'store' in your ENH Tray) so I didnt include this.
I am a strong believer that most things should be available to solo players as well as Teamers WITHOUT the need to circumvent the system (aka - getting 3 ppl to join a Respec team then leave after its started so you can solo it IF your toon can do so).
So should a respec where you move 1 slot to another power require a full Respec Trail or Vet Reward? Or should we have multiple types such as:
- Minor - move up to 4 slots
- Moderate - move up to 4 slots AND move/replace up 2 powers
- etc
- etc
- Full - everything
Vet Rewards can still be the FULL respec.
Respec Trials can still be FULL.
- Add new Trials for the Middle-range respec.
Create new Respec Recipes for all categories.
Alternatively allow us to pay for our respecs as we go.
If I want to move 1 slot it will cost me 1,000 INF.
Move a power (not replace) 10,000 INF.
Replace a power 20,000 INF.
Then buy "respec packs" that are cheaper in bulk than individual changes:
- Bulk 1 - move 10 slots = 8,000 INF
- Bulk 2 - move 20 slots = 15,000 INF
- Bulk 5 - move 5 powers = 40,000 INF
- Bulk 6 - move 10 powers = 80,000 INF
- Bulk 11 - replace 5 powers and move 5 powers and move 5 slots = 105,000 INF (normally 155,000 INF)
- etc
- Bulk 100 - Full Respec = 10,000,000 INF - this would probably replace the Respec recipes entirely. What do we then do with the ppl selling them on the Markets?
Obviously these numbers Im just pulling out of thin air but you get the point. -
I have a question about the exemplaring with this.
You mention that when you EXE down to level 10 you get Hasten (that you took at 49) because Hasten is an available power choice (at level 6) that you have taken.
What about in this scenario:
I chose to take the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of my Secondary powers after level 35 and instead take all available Primary and some Power Pools.
I EXE down to level 20.
Now all the powers I took before level 20 are available (like normal) but form what I read from your example above (and I may have interpreted it wrong) but I would also now gain the 2/3/4 Secondary powers that I did not take until level 35+ becuase I have taken them at a later level.
This would mean I have more powers at EXE 20 than I had at REAL 20. -

For consistency sake I agree.
YES people should read the descriptions before selecting but it is a STANDARD (based on MOST of the other Melee/Ranged Damage Power Set listings) that the T1 power is weaker than the T2 (and for those paedantic people out there like me weaker = less damage).
So for STANDARDS sake /signed. -

last night we did another run of the WST Tin Mage II.
We didnt do a Nuke run prior to take down Director11 fast but for those who needed it we did get the 30 second clicky badge (name?) and the Army of Neu badge and Kittys Got Claws badge (badge names were changed to protect the innocent...)
