Quote:Just ask in Atlas for a SG. Usually some recruiting there. When I was new, I joined several SGs and found one that I liked.are there any SG that would b willing to take me in?? i have vent cuz i am not to fond of typing. my global name is @zildjain1 and i am east coast time
Unfortunately, not everyone uses vent because their PCs don't even have mics. If you end up teaming, you may need to have the team chat window open so you can see the leader's instructions.
Other folks have given excellent suggestions. If you are not sure which zone to level in, go to the nearest train station (T) on the map, and the zone list shows the corresponding level range. -
In what way? Please provide an example. I have no issues with search. My only issue is a bug related to posting an item for sale.

Quote:Choke pts are the intersection of the prisoners' paths. It is north and south of the tennis courts. The idea is to trap the prisoners around the choke points via control powers, eliminate them with AoE and pick off the rest who survive. If there are any escapes, it is usually at the south, since some prisoners run off the sidewalk and go behind the building to the exit as shown in the orange path in the pic below:If you don't know where choke points are, just follow someone. Pretty much it means sidewalks. Doors are obvious, but no one plays doors. After the initial kill, head to the middle of the tennis courts.

Of all the trials, I believe this is the easiest to get Master of. -
If you are in the Pacific time zone and would like to play a villain, I'm usually on 7 pm-midnite. Just reply to this post of when you'll be on and I'll do the 1st story arc from your contact in Mercy with you.

Sorry, Kiyoshi won't be able to make it this monday. Please free up my spot, Luna. Good luck all!

Thanks to all and see you next time! -
Sometimes, trials are scheduled in the forums. More often, folks just head over to Pocket D and get on a league. There's usually one or two forming for most times of the day.

I like to roleplay and make toons based on a theme that I like so I can sort of pretend of being that character. Since the powers must fit the theme, sometimes the powers don't quit mesh properly. I still find it fun tho, and make binds for certain powers:
"Feel mah thunder!!!" (execute Lightning Rod)
"Reboot in progress!" (MM bots/pain rezing a team mate)
For added challenge, don't use purple IOs or procs. ;D -
I second this. An MM without pets is like a corr with only half their powers, ie, the secondary powers. The therm shields will help keep your pets alive. There is nothing more frustrating than doing high level content and having to resummon pets every 3 mins because they die so fast. Note that until you are level shifted, you will be fighting +4 mobs in trials and the pets will be -1 to you, so the mobs will be +5 against your pets.
Also consider bots. Bots have ranged attacks so they can do dmg against melee even before the melee gets to them. It also keeps them out of range of AoE. -

When I was on trial accnt 1 yr ago, I made a hero and a villain. On hero side, I did the lvl 1-5 missions and died multiple times getting to where I needed to go. Frustrated, I hung around liberty and asked for a team. This got me into a sewer team. I leveled to 10 and decided to play vill.
Villside lvl 1-5 missions were nice and close by and I eventually got into my first bank mish ala Mongoose. The team I was with was very nice and told me how to make wakies from insp. I also discovered that leaders like healers so I made a healer and got invited to a lot of teams.
I played my hero again and got invited to a couple of teams whose members rage quit after a wipe or 2. I went back to villside and made it my home when I subbed.
Basically, if nobody leads the low level teams or invites toons lvl 1-30, then the F2P folks are limited to soloing. It really isn't up to the devs to 'balance' who plays which side. I made the choice to go vill because of the people I teamed with. If the new player values good social interaction, it will be because of the teams s/he plays with. -
Quote:From my experiment:Like purples, random is random. Rolling silver or bronze or gold don't mean you gonna hit jackpot on every roll, or even half of them. Noone can really say, just roll here. I've gotten LotG 7.5's on gold lev 45-50 just as often as a lev 35-39 gold roll.
9999 tix = 142 bronze 30 rolls
Sales over: ___# of sales
>=20 mil________4
10-19.9 mil____11
5-9.9 mil______29
500k-4.9 mil___39
trash__________50
So out of 142 rolls, 1/3 were trash. Only 4 rolls were over 20 mil. 1/4 were worth under 5 mil. Of course, the values of the rolls are dependent on its relative worth on the market. At the time I rolled bronze-30, the big sellers were Reactive armor, Basilisk gaze and LotG Def.
The top 25 bronze sales net 280 mil in profit. The top 70 bronze sales net 380 mil. Basically, the farmer only needs 25 good bronze-30 rolls out of 142 to match the profit from 19 silver-30 rolls. Even if half the bronze rolls were worthless, the rest of the good rolls could net about 350 mil. Also, there's a lot more chances to get good rolls in bronze than in silver.
Still, YMMV and the market value may change. -
Another fun evening! Spike lead my team.

In terms of bronze vs silver, I did an experiment trading 9999 tix for all bronze 30 or silver 30 rolls. Then I crafted the worthy rolls and sold them. Here are my results.
Bronze wins in terms of profit, about x1.6 silver. However, bronze will take up more time to craft and sell since there are about 70+ recipes to craft vs 15+ for silver. Samnell's profit with silver is consistent with mine, about 200+ mil for 9000 tix. All the crafted silvers sold in about 2 weeks.
I roll bronze when I have room and silver when I don't. -
My very 1st 50 took about 2 months. That's about 3 hrs of play during weekdays and about 6-8 hrs of play during weekends. No AE. I mostly lead teams and did story arcs.
-
I'm not sure if you know this already, but you can email yourself money from any toon on any server. Since you already had that 50, you could've emailed your Prae toon some starter cash instead of flipping from scratch.
I have my own base for salvage but the salvage I keep are the ones that tend to fluctuate in price and rare drops. But if you work on a niche, it is much easier to just bid on the salvage for a few recipes on one character and craft when all the bids fill. -
Welcome back!
Mine always is. Just shout out in Cap for a member of Dark Kingdom or Sovereign to get an invite. On hero side, it is Dark Kingdom Rogue. -
Midnite Spike lead my team:

Quote:The leader sees the complete dialogue. The team can only see a summary of it under the Mission tab.I think it would help if the game let the other team members see the dialog with the story. Because, if you're not the leader, you cant' see it.
Or can you?
I suggest that you lead the team instead of waiting to be invited. That way, you can read the story. If someone else is leading, the story is archived in Paragon wiki. Mr E-man is leading Op Renault this Wed, July 27. It's not a speed run, so I suggest you join them. -
Run 1: Congratz to new MoITF holders! Thanks for leading, E!

I don't use purple IOs. If I get a drop, it is crafted and stored in my base in case I decide to use it or if a friend needs it.

I'll join with my brute, Black Knight Kallen.

Hi All,
I've run into this bug often enough that I thought that I'd warn folks. Basically, if you have an unlisted stack of salvage in slot #1 in your Stored tab and you list an IO for sale, sometimes the market posts the stack of salvage instead of the IO. Here's how it happened to me:
I filed a bug and the GM replied:
When you first place an item in your auction inventory, the item is displayed in your window but there is a few seconds before the item is officially posted. If you priced the item before the official posting, then an error similar to yours can occur.
To avoid this issue in the future, you can watch the inventory number on your "Stored" tab. When you first place the item this number will not change, but if you watch it, it will increase by one as soon as your item is officially posted.
However, I don't agree with his reply, because after I put the IO in the market, I do a Find to check the last sales. Then I list the IO. That should've been ample time.
All I can suggest is that if you are listing a hi-priced item, remove any stored items that are stacked before you list. Hope this helps. -
If you want to keep costs down, lvl 25 sets don't require the 1+ mil rare/orange salvage. For example, lv 25 Sciroco's dervish requires yelllow salv but lvl 26+ requires orange salvage.
