  2. About 10. 6 are sellers and the rest are gatherers/crafters.

    Not totally true. I use both SG and global chans, but prefer to run with SG mates rather than random folks. When I want to do a SF, I could just ask in coalie chat:
    "Who's up for an ITF or RSF?"
    Reply 1: I'll go
    Reply 2: Lemme finish this mish, brt
    etc...

    From my experience, SG mates tend to afk less and quit in the middle of the strikeforce. Also, if you need help taking down an AV, there's a couple of SG mates that will help you out.

    If you have a villain on Freedom, let me know and I'll get you into a VG.

    Tip Drop Rate

    I managed to receive a 'Get the Loot' paper mish. I set this to +0x8 and it usually gives me 3 tips before the mish ends. This mish is really good for kills because it spawns lots of RIPs once you open the vault. However, I don't click the glowie so I can run it again.
    There was a coalie that needed help getting a morality mish, so I ran Get the Loot for him and he got the drop before we even cleared the first room.
    There was one case where I couldn't get any tips. However, all 5 of my public fame counters were still active. I decided to do something else and wait for them to expire. A few hours later, I ran Get the Loot and got tips on my first mob. Just a guess, but there may be some timers involved for tip drops, esp if the public fame counters are still running.
  5. At first glance, I suggest replacing stealth with combat jumping. The defense from stealth only applies when you are NOT discovered. After foes find you, the defense is much less.

    I accidently emailed my deactivated trial account instead of the subbed account before and the GM bounced the email back to me. It took about 2-3 days for the GM to respond. Hope it works out for you!
  7. I was paying prez on Virtue and noticed the #1 spot. Just want to say:

    Congrats!
  8. Another tricky part is travelling. Even on auto follow, sometimes the follower gets caught in caves or narrow passages. Recall friend is useful on the lead toon.
  9. You don't have to do an SF to get shard drops. You can run papers and missions in cimerora. It's very likely that you will have the same drop rate, ie shard per minute. So far, my rate is something like 1 shard/10 mins. So if you spent 90 mins in the 5th column SF, you have a similar drop rate as mine. If you spent 2 hours, your drop rate is actually lower, ie, 1 shard/13 mins.

    ---snip---
    Sadly, for some (me included), that cost is still unrealistically high (a month of doing Tip missions and buying Hero/Villain Merits for a SINGLE purple IO?! I'm putting myself in place of a new player.).
    When I was on trial account, I still had loads of fun despite an inf cap of 50000. Yes, a measly 50000. Even when I subbed and got my first 50, I didn't really care that I didn't have any purple IOs. Heck, even now, my Alpha slotted lv 50 with a Master of the 5th Column Strike Force title doesn't have a single purple IO. I have a lvl 50 corr that cost around 300 mill to outfit BEFORE hero/vill merits and he wears the title Master of Lord Recluse Strike Force.
    For me, purple/pvp IOs are icing on the cake. More power to anyone who has them. One can outfit a toon for under a bill and still have decent performance. IMHO, one doesn't need purple IOs to enjoy this game.

    I once asked how the economy got started and where all the money came from. Folks have been stockpiling inf from way before AE came. Someone even mentioned one case of folks saving up in anticipation for their bases but when bases came out, refused to convert inf to prestige because the exchange rate was too expensive.
    There's money out there, and a lot of longtime players can afford to pay 500+ mill for stuff.

    Recharge and End. This will be an alternate brute to run LRSF with. Having more run speed will be a bonus. If I can't get there running, I'll teleport as a backup. Thanks much.

    Stone/Stone Help

    Honestly, it kills too slow and didn't pass my longbow test. I don't use mine and went with Elec/Shield for SFs. You might want to look at SS/Stone, DM/Stone or Elec/Stone before investing in 5 LotGs, 5 GotA 7.5s and any purples you might want to increase recharge and run speed. Expect to spend at least 2 bill to outfit your stoner.
  14. Someone will just flip it and sell it at the going rate.

    I would suggest that someone with good stealth scope out the mobs so that the team can get an idea of whether to pull or not. At most, keep the agro to a max of 2 mobs at a time. Watch out for Rad and Psi longbow.
  16. I soloed it with 2 different toons after the patch and didn't notice that it was any more difficult before the patch. Just kill the clones. They go down in 1-2 shots and then go back to Trapdoor. I agree with the other suggestions made before, namely temp pwrs and base buffs:
    * Envenomed Dagger
    * Stun grenade
    * Backup Radio

    It was easier for my dom since he doesn't seem to clone if he's held/stunned.

    I have a solo base too and if you're on Freedom, I'll coalie with you if it'll help solve the problem. If you want to try this, give me an idea when you're on in a forum PM and we'll arrange a time.

    In my base, I have 8 bins. The 1st bin in the corner is for A-D salvage. Any salvage that starts with A, B, C, or D goes in that bin. The bin next to it is E-I salvage and the bin next to that, J-N salvage. The 2 bins next to T-Z is for rare salvage and halloween parts.
    Having full bins has saved me quite a bit during the the Monkey farm craze. It also helps me craft in the base. I only go to the BM for a few items and when I do, I buy extras of stuff that isn't in the bins and refill the bins.
    When I bid for recipes, I also look at what it needs. If it needs salvage that is selling for over 50k, the same toon that bids for that recipe also bids for the salvage that the recipe needs.
  20. Thanks to all who joined!

    Renault: 1:22 ish. I messed up this screenie and closed the time screen. It also took longer because of the two new missions added. I'll have to research a way so we won't have to do kill all for the new missions.

    Silver Mantis: 1:25:57. We lost gang don on this one. Oh well...

    I second this. If you're not into sharks, I recommend Soul Mastery. Properly slotted, SM's Soul storm can hold the green Hamis in LGTF.
    Corrs are usually very useful in high level SFs. SF Leaders tend to specifically look for corrs (and sometimes blasters) more than they look for doms with the exception of a perma mind dom.
    Ice buffs for teammates are great for ITF/RSF and Ice powers debuff/slow Rom's regen.
  23. Nice! Pays to plan the build ahead.

    Ok, question...

    It will be up for however it takes for all the old 50s to respec and for all the new Monkey 50s to get new IOs. And if that aint 'nuff, the Incarnate 50s also get a 3rd build that would, of course, need IOs too.
  25. I'll either bring Voltez Y (Shield brute) or Cray (MM/pain) depending on the team.
