sign me up baby! this time it's personal!
  2. wow, looks like I totally misread the question. You meant letter, as in, the letters that the Omega team left in the time capsule. D'oh! Still, pie is good.

Being as it's superheroes, I'd leave a letter to myself, since I'd probably be alive again after 7years. It'd have reminders of things I'd be likely to forget to do what with all the suicide missions and rebirth crossover events, etc.
  3. postcount shmostcount. a man can type a million pointless things on a web forum. <----see?

now, if we were talking about Post-Count. as in after he who "loves to count...hahaha!" I might be more inclined to take an interest in that part of the conversation.

So. What good stuff is in other games that we can complain we don't have?
  4. The main problem I notice is going from levelling a hero to a villain. Since the chances of getting a team at all (not even a decent team) go from good to practically non-existant, it makes being bad so much harder. Of course, it is more fun doing the various arcs, so I'm probably more likely to play for a long time on a solo vill than a solo hero.

1-10 is pretty easy, pretty quick. Good for first timers and getting to grips with powers and play style for a new toon. 10-20 takes a lot longer, but it's not ususally until about 15ish that I'm starting to get a good idea of how the character is anyway, as I start to get some of the fancier powers.
20-30 is a drag usually, as is 30-40. although it's actually 25-35 that's the really hard part. Once getting 20 and having a costume mish and cape mish to break things up a bit I seem to get to 25ish quickly (well, not on my VEAT-seemed like it took forever, but that was mostly me being too anxious) but then the grind hits. Not sure the zones are best planned for these levels either, seems like there's too much of a mix of levels that you've got to be quite careful about if you're not a really good soloist. Post-35 is usually ok, as you've suddenly got a ton of new things you can do that will work towards unlockables. I always try to get my ITF out of the way quick, and the Vanguard initiation so I can start earning their Merits whenever I smash a Rikti or two. 45-50 is generally pretty easy and quick. Not a 1-10 quick by all means, but with 3 different Taskforces available (well more, but 3 relatively quick and common ones: LGTF, STF/LRTF and the 5th Column ones) as well as a few good arcs it's pretty easy to get a team together or at least jump about from TF to TF and earn your way to the lvl cap that way.

edit: I think a lot of it isn't so much that it is faster or slower to progress through certain level ranges as it is more fun to do so in certain ones, and sometimes a bit of a chore in others.

I'm a villain, I'm not gonna pay my rent. Let them send someone round to try and collect it!
  6. theres no conspiracy theories, just Nemesis Plots.
  7. the other option, maybe not as good as ship raids, but certainly more common on the server I play on, is the LGFT or Lady Grey Task Force. its 45+, and you'll probably rack up more Vanguard merits with a team doing that than you would doing missions solo.

I wouldn't hate a place I could store all my toon's extra loot. Surely we could go to Super-IKEA and get some shelves to put all our recipes on? A wardrobe that could let us change back to costumes we've already used on that toon for a minimal fee? Maybe even the option to leave a key under the mat for our other toons to get in and access the stored items?

edit: as to an underwater place, it could be fudged, by having an underwater base type area, with us just swimming there and then once inside, walking, running and fighting as normal. Of course, the last time I can think of seeing something like that, it had Gungans in it. Not disappointed in any way that we won't be getting that.
  9. I like a calzone sometimes
  10. niche? maybe, but consider how easy it is for someone in a fictional universe to learn to become a ninja. Kitty flippin giant bullet bob Pryde is a ninja fer chrissakes! Many of your toons could probably find a weekend to travel to Japan and undergo a few training montages...even if they do so whilt you're logged out.
  11. I think there's really only one way to find out. Could be interesting. I'd like to get a bit of RP on the go, but it's kinda difficult to get into IMO.
  12. I get the whole Spider-theme, I do, really, but there should also be Arachnos Fluffy Bunny Corps.

They'd be a special PR division sent out at holidays to share some goodwill.

    No "More"

weather would be really good. it'd be a lot more fun hunting thugs in Kings Row if it was a "dark and stormy night". Maybe with Ultra Mode?
  16. Issue 18: You'll Believe a Server List Can Merge.

(of course, whilst I'd appreciate the extra slots, I'd almost always still play on the EU/UK ones...or...Union, since that's my home reality)
  17. Since Mr Spectre there is using a very political tone, I'm guessing he'd side with whoever pays the most.

    Whalers on the moon!

Also, sign me up for a Dino Riders zone. I know the game is City of...stuff, but even in Marvel Comics where everything happens in NYC they still manage to go underwater, into space and to remote areas around the globe. I'd like an arctic type area, a desert and a jungle. Stick a mountain or two in somewhere and it'd make for a bit of a change. Not necessarily needed desperately, but it'd be interesting for me. Anything more elaborate than that wouldn't be a bad thing either.

  20. y'know, if/when there's a Marvel MMO on the market, all they need to do is have you meet Spider-Man in the tutorial and any possible doubt over whether you'll return from death is removed. I think there's maybe 3 people in his life who haven't been dead at some point and got better.

Oh, how I love being able to make a costume, stick with it if I like it or change it if I don't. I can choose what I look like and it doesn't affect gameplay! Rejoice, go tell it on the mountain and oh, yes, TESTIFY!
