Find it really hard to get a team on villains, regardless of lvl. As such I've avoided playing my new shiny Soldier of Arachnos. Will get King Spider on the go tonight, probably be nearer 6 or 7 though.

it just makes it sound like it's funny of unevolved blokes with clubs and girls with furry bikinis. actually, might not be so bad if the world matched with the name it evokes.

how about a temporary title under your name that says "Just Died" or "Back from the Dead" or something, which can't be hidden, and stays there for a half hour or something? Thus you could incur mockery, which is surely worse than simply making you play longer?

I only ever really use wakeys and end insps now. might pop another random one if i've full insps and waiting on a blue or wakey though. okay, and health ones, sometimes.

death is very much a defeat for me. playing a MM lately and even in a team with plenty of rezability I hate dying because it means another 5 minutes of summoning and upgrading. the run from the hospital is a pain at lower lvls too, particularly if you're starting a toon with a sewer run (of course usually by the time anyone dies in those the majority of mobs they'll run into on the way back to the team will con grey anyway) or if you're travel power-less and in a big area where the mish will inevitably be at the farther point from the hosp.

maybe I'm a rubbish player, or maybe it's just I'm a casual player (I'm sure there are those who'd say that is the same thing-bah humbug to you!) but I don't have a huge problem with minimal debt being awarded for deaths. However, I would prefer that they increased it again if the alternative is some kind of debuffing after a rez.

damz we're probably doing different things. because I've a lack of regular team-mates (and an SG now-thanks guys) I find that the ITF, LGTF and LRSF/STF (depending on side) give me a lot to do that I can often get teams for. There's other stuff too of course, RWZ missions and plenty of them (which net both the normal rewards and Vanguard Merits, making them doubly appealing to me) and red side, Patron arcs which can be fun to do solo, until you come up against a tough SOB boss/AV that you can't take alone.
I also usually* only get around to doing the other TFs and stuff way after I've outlevelled them. So whilst I might not be progressing in levels, I am having more fun later in the game. There's no worry about moving around the game world, and the recipes that you pick up are for the most part the best in the game (even going by the "use what you can find" methodology I usually subscribe to).
There's Vanguard costume stuff to unlock, the Roman cossie pieces, etc.
In the middle, it's just mishes for me, and that can be fun, but if there's no decent teams (or all you can get is Architect chumps) then it's quite difficult.

*I've only managed to get one hero and one villain to 50 so far. (def and MM) Other highest are a 27 Tank and 20 blaster, so my use of the words "usually", "often" and "always" may be highly frivolous.

It's 15-30ish that's the real slog for me, because there's not really a lot of cool stuff. Easy enough to get to 10-early teens, and after 30 it seems to fly in quite quick on the 2 toons that I've got that have made it that far. More interesting things in the middle would be better.

I'd guess it'd work the same way as the choice of rewards at the end of some events.

I've quite a few low lvl toons. Might see you there. I love a good fun team doing mishs for the sake of it.

I'll possibly play about with my energy Blaster's colours, giving different colours depending on power strength if possible. Changing my MM's force-fields, not sure what colours, but again, if possible, I'll make my 2 bubbles different colours so I can see easier when they run out on people.
Thinking I'll finally get my fire Scrapper played with some blue flames.

If Kheld-forms were colourable I'd be all over that!
Might make some yellow lightning on something too.

Aren't all the Lovecraft/Cthulhu things fair use? I was pretty sure it was one of the few IPs where the creator(s) were happy to have the mythos continued by other artists in future endevours. I'm almost certain that anyone could write an original Cthulhu mythology based tale as a prose work (if they were so inclined) without any legal entanglements.
May well be that it's different when it comes to multimedia ventures. Besides, I doubt the devs would bring over the exact entities. Unless this is the oft-rumoured coming storm (which I don't see, simply as it could divide the fanbase and doesn't have much of a basis in-game at present) smooshing the Lovecraftian into COH/COV would pretty much dwarf every other threat.

shoulder holsters for guns would be sweet too.

other back options I'd like would be spikes/spines (no use for them personally, but I can imagine they'be good on a number of toons) maybe even a furry/hairy line going down the spine for extra flavour on wolfy types, a tech themed robotic spine and tentacles or spider legs...not quite Crab Spider backpack but something like that (I imagine robotic octopus legs would be a copyright infringement too far) and what about a hunched back?

I'd love selectable demons (and other MM pets) and now that we have selectable colours, is it too much to ask we can choose from even a preselected group of different looks for our henchmen?

yes, with new power colours and entire body changes more costume slots would be very good. at last I can think about making a toon that starts off as a little kid and grows into their hero-hood.(and then maybe dies, comes back as a zombie or cyborg and then evolves into some kind of energy being...if I so wish)
