I'm a player who usually goes with the flow because it's I'm just here to enjoy the game. A few nerfs to powers or whatever doesn't affect so long as I get to play with my friends.

That being said, I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE NEW CRAPPY AUCTION HOUSE INTERFACE. I've said it, the UI design is sheer utter crap. It makes no intuitive sense. In fact, it goes so completely against the first Auction House UI that you get so easily confused and make mistakes.

So many times now I thought I was selling instead I was bidding. You can't just place a recipe in the slot now and see how many people are bidding and what the history is. The colors are painful to look at and gives me a headache. The font is way too big and you have to enlarge the display completely to get your information.

Nobody clamored for a complete overhaul of the Auction House. What was the improvement??? Terrible, sloppy, unintutive design. Everything else UI wise in the game is nice and clear. Congrats, now I don't even want to go to the auction house at all.

    Kat/Regen

You're primary goal in slotting is to get enough recharge bonuses to be able to achieve Perma-Dull Pain. As you aren't listing your global recharge, I can't tell by the slotting if you have hit the requirements or not.

Regen really depends on excellent global recharge. DP absolutely needs to be made perma and it will bring up Reconstruction and Moment of Glory faster also.

Divine Avalanche needs to be slotted like an attack with just enough defense to give you the complete defense bonus.

Moment of Glory needs 3 recharges.

Once you get enough global recharge, concentrate on any extra defense bonuses you can as that allows you time to recharge damage when the enemy misses.

Also, nice of you to ignore (or even better, not even know) that when I was level 5-14, there was no Hollows. We spent hours lost in Perez Park and we liked--er... tolerated it.

Not every change may be a good one, but the game is leaps and bounds better than it was when it first launched.
Ahhh...getting lost in Perez Park with no travel power. Those were the times.

Am I counting wrong but it looks like 3 players: Shield tanker/scrapper, Illusion/controller and some guy in the middle?

Fight was just my preference for a travel power, obviously speed would free up a power slot. In this case I felt that aid self needed to stay more than fitness, but again, personal preference...

This build is a great help for my beginning Mind/Fire. Can you explain why you took Fire Breath instead of Incinerate? Is it because you needed a purple set to get the bonuses for Domination?

    Thanks!
  8. They just need to sticky the real Power Boost description in the Blasters section from Red Tomax and Paragon Wiki.

It's such a confusing description in game, you get a totally different impression of what it actually does.

As for me, I use it for increasing the duration of stuns and the massive boost to Aid Self for my blaster.
  9. I can't wait to drop the Medicine Pool and say good bye to that slow as molasses Aid Self animation. That thing drives me crazy and I have to use all the time.
  10. It's going to take getting used to. I'd rather have the blue background back. I hate that now we have to put up with player's picture banners. I feel like I'm in a Walmart being blasted with advertising instead of a hobby game forum.

Also, has any one been able to read the Dev Digests? It hasn't worked for me since the change.
  11. The crash sucks. Overall I think it's overly harsh considering how vulnerable you are still (even with PS) to Psi and Toxic. I think it would be a fair exchange if it allowed you to resist Psi and Toxic but as it is, you'll be laid flat on your face even with PS activated once you hit the right mobs high level.

That said, it's useful enough to get and minimally slot. There will always be a certain situation where you would be face-planting without it and surviving with it. Tanking the ITF is one against Cims. Certain AVs. Lord Recluse.

You can live without it but I recommend at least taking the power and minimally slotting it.
  12. The first thing you need to tell us is if you are going for at-range or blapper build? Is PvP also a consideration?

What is your "focus"? My blasters tend to emphasize defense and recharge. I know of one guy who focused on having regen for passive healing and he does pretty good with it. That's the information we need first in order to give advice or even an example build.
  13. Yea, PFF is a completely different gameplay power. It provides tactical advantages in different situations than anything available with the Electric APP. With PFF, you can ghost just about any mission without any harm. You can use it as a very good emergency power that doesn't have a crash when health is low. It really depends on your playstyle.

And I thank you very very very very very much. I can't wait to drop Aid Self. I hate that power but am forced to use it to survive.

Wooow. Very nice. Do you know if the heal is enhanceable?
  16. Is there a way to change the color of the background? This green hurts my eyes. I liked the old blue way better.
  17. Man, I hope not. There's so many already for all my alts to keep up with and run around. I had to make stupid chart for all my characters. Now that's just sad. More day jobs will make me even more neurotic and nerdy. Please think of the obesessive compulsive!

I'm curious how to make Electric Armor as durable and strong as possible. I'm probably going to make a Claws/Electric Brute when they come out for Brutes.

I'm trying to make him as tough as possible. With an all resist set that can be pretty hard. There is a little mitigation in Claws, but not a lot and I want to make my toon as tough as possible.

What suggestions do you all have?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    1. Get Tough
    2. Get Weave
    3. Get Aid Self
    4. Get as much +Defense bonuses you can
    5. Get Demonic Badge
    6. Get High Pain Threshold Badge
    7. Get Born in Battle Badge
    8. Get Invader Badge

Good luck finding slots for everything because I sure haven't been able to do it.
  19. I guess the real question is if Lightning Rod will allow criticals? I've heard that Shield Charge doesn't allow criticals so for a contemplated Ela/Shield that will be something to really consider.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
Lightslinger is my main, he was created in Issue 7. He is a hero who, as implied by his name, slings blasts of light. I'd always thought "When we get PC I'll tint his Energy/Energy attacks light yellow and he'll be perfect!"

Now, the awesomeness that is Issue 16 has revealed that Blasters are getting Radiation Blast.

So tell me, Blaster sages. Would it not make more sense for Lightslinger to have yellow radiation blasts as opposed to yellow energy blasts?

(The reason I'm asking is this is going to involve re-rolling my main from a level 50 and purchasing a rename token, so its a pretty big deal for me)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Considering that the Legacy Chain light blasts are clearly from the Energy Blast animations and effects, stick with energy.

    Or roll a Peacebringer.

Radiation Blast is uber cool but the particle effects don't bring to mind "light". Depending on which powers get proliferated, Rad could include some real "smoky" "foggy" effects like in Irradiate.
  21. Hola. Welcome back! I figured the second that I read Claws for Brutes on the announcements a certain horned figure would reappear.

I'd just download the game, after 2 years there's gonna be so much new stuff to download and patch that your CD doesn't have that you probably won't save much time on the install.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Anyone know what's the FTP site for the full download?
  23. [ QUOTE ]
I know this is a bit off topic, my problem is the scroll button click which normally locks your character and you are able to rotate. When I click the scroll button on the mouse it just freezes the screen for a second and does nothing. Any suggestions for that particular problem?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Check your button settings in-game. See if circle view is still tied to the scroll button.
  24. I'll take anything. /ELA needs help bad.

Is headsplitter a "must have" or would I get more DPS over time with Hack/Slash/Slice/Disembowel?

I have Deflection 6 slotted now with 3 Gift of the Ancient Def/End, Def, Def/Rec. And 3 Impervium Armor Res, Res/end, Res/rech. Takes both Def and Res to 50.54% and End to 48.25.

Im wondering if Aid Self is really nessicary? if I got rid of that I could get hasten....maybe something else ...not sure. My biggest concern is for those few times hits get through...am I gonna get dead...and I guess I would need more regen then.

    Gonna keep playin with things.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    uhhh never give up Headsplitter.

    You're broadsword, not katana.
