I do whatever happens to be going on. If nothing is going on (in the channels I watch or on vent), I solo a bit. If it bores me I go play something else.

Well it's all the same now, but I'd settle for exemplaring. Still, I've yet to find another MMO that offers it.

I am always stunned when I hop into a brand new MMO and find... "Oh, no play up play down option (super-sidekicking)." Meh.

Quote:You can do the same thing for the previous types of iXP. It's not new. The new part is that people seem to be wussing out rather than carrying a relatively standard itrial to completion. So with the launch of I23 comes the new Incarnate trial, Magisterium. Wanted to give it a try, first attempt went like this. Use the LFG tool to join Magisterium Incarnate Trial, get to first part (defeate 250 IDF), and as soon as this completes just about everyone quits. Really confused by this and decide to head to Dark Astoria and see Broadcast being spammed with Mag Farm Runs.
So wanting to really give it a try, and actually finish it I broadcast that I was doing Magisterium Incarnate Trial but let everyone know that it wasn't a farm run. Get a League together, finish first part, and about 5 people quit. Really annoyed by this, press on, couldn't get it going, try second time and this time success.
So is this what my experience with the Magisterium Incarnate Trial going to be like for the first week or so? Having to worry that people might bail as soon as they get their advanced psychic xp? Do the devs consider this an issue, should they even consider this an issue? -
Quote:Oddly my several year old Logitech 5.1 system handles it fine even though I'm only using the mobo outputs for sound. The Light of the Well noise. You know, that horrible ear-splitting tornado siren that plays whenever Tyrant uses the "air crackling" AoE patch attack?
Yeah. At 30% volume and 10% system volume that noise is STILL too loud. It causes my Klipsch headphones to sputter thanks to how loud it is.
Even better? When there's more than one of those lightning patches it gets EVEN LOUDER.
Who's idea was this? NOTHING in the game needs to be that loud. I love playing with my sound on, but I have to mute the Magisterium trial thanks to that awful siren-klaxon blast.
It is loud, maybe even too loud. I don't mind it though. -
I want my GR Desi loading screen back

Quote:Maelstrom drops his recipe in the TPN.There are some exclusive weapon recipes that drop here. There's a titan weapon called Excalibur that drops off of Nega-Pendragon, and Maelstrom's Pistol (I don't know where this drops). Both of them seem to have low drop rates, although someone did find an excalibur recipe on the first run I was in.

Risk vs Reward was the old regime's mantra if I'm no mistaken. Recently it's been more along the lines of Time Invested vs Reward. So UG gets a great reward table and bonus threads. TPN gets a bonus chunk of threads. The new PYTF gets a moderate reward for the required time. The Mag just doesn't take all that long.
Now, I said a little farther up that I think it should have the Keyes reward skewing, but certainly not UG levels. -
I only have 4 characters that I bother to do incarnate content with. I might add another or remove one based on how I feel about playing them at the time. Those that insist on T4ing all of their 50's... suck it up.
I tend to happily run any iTrial a group I know with a reputation I know, trust and respect is doing. Doesn't matter which one. Once I get all my common and uncommons I'll still run anything, but I will certainly bust out certain characters for Keyes and especially Underground. A Rare or Very Rare guranteed, plus Emp and Astrals and a chunk o' threads? Yes please.
The Magisterium seems to have the same drop rates as Lam/BAF/MoM, etc so while I'll run it happily I don't see why I'd pick it over one of the other standard iTrials.
My only suggestion is possibly changing to the Keyes drop table and calculations.
It is a fun and relatively simple trial. -
Quote:Quills and taking down the lights. It's not that tough, it just requires people to pay attention, MOVE around and to actually be a real incarnate. If you destroy all six pillars of light, you get six level shifts for a duration I'm not clear on, but is good for a few cycles of my characters' attack chains, certainly. So intermittently, you are as high as 50+9. I made a point of saving my big debuffs and things like Judgement for those times.

Quote:Listen to this man.I've seen a Tyrant battle going nowhere fast until people finally learned to watch for the "Air Crackles" warning and run. If people run, that spreads out the lightning columns and you can jump back on Tyrant right away.
Also, death is a rather significant debuff to the damage you can put out.
Once they learned to dodge, Tyrant went down lickety split. But while a handful of players kept getting killed, Tyrant stood tall.

There was lag when I AoE'd but that was it. No, I did DC once but it recovered. I used his eye beams a few times as well and they can reach across the Magisterium. I foresee it being tweaked now that it's live to resolve the lag.

Ran the Magisterium trial once. Succeeded.
I feel that camping the lights is largely a bad idea. You need every bit of DPS you can get on Tyrant to make it go smoothly. Assign a "Lights" team to melt them when they spawn. Ideally people that can read and see the little timer that tells you when they're coming back. A few seconds before the lights respawn they break off in pairs or whatever and demolish the lights before returning to assist on Tyrant. When that nice warning comes up about the crackle: move.
Oh, and use those quills. They do work. -
Hrm. It just...worked for me. No issues at all.

So mecha armor will be available but so will celestial for a brief time. What?

Quote:More to the point then: After a few runs of Magisterium to unlock, then plopping in that nice, new T4 Hybrid... will the OP (and others with similar complaints) still be running trials all the time? Of course they will. That's what they do.I agree mostly but in this context the question doesn't really make sense.
You have NO CHOICE except to run the Magistarium trial all day and all night, since it's the only way to unlock the Hybrid slot.
You ask that question like it's a choice.
so technically speaking no they didn't wait too long. If they had released it today or two weeks ago or a year ago you would STILL have NO CHOICE but to do 4-5 trials to unlock the slot. -
Any arc that comes from a contact in Skyway.

Quote:What information specifically are you looking for that is not on the main site?Speaking of things that are annoying, does anyone else find it as irritating that NCSoft apparently wants you to go everywhere else BUT their official site to get news and information about upcoming features? I don't want to have to go Facebook, Twitter, or Google + - the news should be here, where it belongs.

Quote:I have ... 4 characters that I bother to incarnate. Four. Because I play other characters, other games, work, go out, and other such things that would prevent me from having 45 incarnated characters.I currenty have 16 characters that can slot a hybrid power with a Tier 4 as soon as they earn enough IXP to open the power. <snip> I have another 6 character that can lot a Hybrid power with a Tier 3 as fast as they open Hybrid. Like the ones about all their current powers are tier 4 and thy too have the addition tier 3 destiny powers.
Finaly I have a 23 character that can slot a tier 2 in the hybrid power slot as soon as it opens. That characte also has all teir 4s in each power currently available.. the only difference is that haracter has no added destiny powers .. just the one slotted to t4.
Now, will the lack of a 7th or 8th slot stop you from running iTrials all day and night? Right. They didn't wait too long. -
