Well. I just took a shot to the wallet and rented a vent server. Oi. The crack I had applied to my own simply wouldn't work. Oh well. It's not too expensive and a few in the Defenders have offered to help subsidize.

The online management is nice.

Also, ran a KTF last night. It was nice.

The one in the pic was a friends favourite shirt years ago. It's been lost for awhile and hopefully she forgets that I know it was her favourite. Then when I buy one and ship it to her for her birthday it'll be a total surprise and "Daaaaawwwwwww" moment.

Requires the NCSoft Launcher which is only a few K. The actual client download is around 11GB if I recall.

Unless there are still websites giving out beta codes the only way to get one now is to pre-order. That said, they send you the code within a few hours and after using it you can cancel your pre-order. I did mine from EBGames.com and had no issues.

The first Beta even weekend they had levels 1-10 of the Light race available. I missed it.
This last Beta weekend they had both races, still at levels 1-10 only, available. I got one of each of the classes I tend to like to 10 and change.

The 1st few levels are just you as a human working for whichever side you chose until you are discovered to be something more (shock and awe). You then have the campaign quests to Ascend and become a Daeva. Once that's done you choose your sub-class.
Warriors can choose Guardian (scappers) or Templar (tanks). Priests can choose cleric (healer/buffer) or Chanter (warpriest).

Standard MMO fare for quests. There are Campaign and Other quests. Campaign advance the story, Other are just that. There are also Work Order quests which I haven't been able to see yet.

You can disenchant green or better magic items and use the results to attempt to enchant other items.

The character customization is crazy awesome! Loads of body sliders, face sliders, hairstyles, and faces.

Once you Ascend you get your wings, literally. In PvP areas you can fly. In PvE areas you can glide. Not sure if the wings are full on available anywhere other than the PvP area yet.

The game runs smoothly. I have all settings but AA maxed. AA is only set at x4 rather than x8 because there's so little appreciable difference. Here's a few screenshots. Camera is zoomed waaaaay back, but even if it was zoomed it, I'm just a teeny lil Chanter in these pics. These are from the Happy-Fluffy race starting area.
