He was playing the game within the confines of the rules. That was a large part of his experiment.
If players in PvP weren't supposed to be droned or TP'd into NPC's for insta-gib, then TP Foe wouldn't work on them. It does. Therefore he was just "playing the game". The same defense that so very many AE 1-50 in an hour farm exploiters used.
I'm just saying.
Socially, what he did is objectionable. However, it was well within the bounds of game rules. You don't like it is all. -
*pops out his wings and glides around on the thermals*

Not enough to make that much difference. Any tank needs an empath spamming clear mind to prevent the hold of doom.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just an FYI since I just checked the numbers. Without any outside buffing, Hold Prot: Mag 24.6. 1/4 of the required prot before outside assistance.
[ QUOTE ]
Or a Sonic/*. >.> It's the same power. :3
[/ QUOTE ]
Sonic/ also has the bubble which adds around mag 9 on top of the mag 13 from clarity/clear mind, making it a better hold prevention set, but not a ZOMG Stop Dying set -

go to the popular AE, you'll get a team fast

Don't do it. It's a trap! A trap full of terrible writing and tedious all boss defeat all missions. -
So... working downtown Toronto for the next week or two. Yup. Lovely ladies in summer attire everywhere I look.

Yes you did! I saw you break into my wallet! Criiiiiime!

I would just prefer that the OP clarify what a "realistic themed SG" is in his view.
OP, take it away... -

I always imagine that when Michael Bay dies he'll be sent to hell where his eternal torment will be making movies with a single camera... which is bolted to the floor.
[/ QUOTE ]
...and he has NO special effects budget. -
To wit, Transformers 2 is one of the worst movies ever made. EW Boll makes the worst movies (none good, let's get that clear). Michael Bay may have his mucky prints all over Giant Robot Fighting 2, but I will always blame the worst movies of all time on EW.
Michael Bay just needs a beat upside the head with a railway tie. -
Which is why Granite is recommended as a rooted granite tank has the highest mez protection available and requires less to break the 100 required to resist her hold.

I've been playing CoX since Dec. 2004 in an on again/off again manner, the one thing that always made me feel I could come back was that unlike most games, all aspects of the game evolved and changed, not just the "endgame", and there never was the hidebound mentality of "You need X and only X to do Y, and nothing else will succeed." Apparently that has changed as well.
In the past month and a half of trying, I've been repeatedly told that there is no point in my Inv/SS tanker trying to tank the Statesman TF, that ONLY stone tanks can do this. Now, this isn't a month and a half of trying the TF and not succeeding, this is a month and a half of not even being allowed to try because I'm not a Stone Tank.
If this was an alt, I wouldn't care, but this is the character who was my first character, not just in CoX, but the first MMO character I have ever played. He's the one I play best, who I have spent 90% of my time and inf on, and the one I love to play and has had most of my creative energy expended on.
So I need to know:
Is this a fluke, and I'm only getting input from people who think that for some reason Stone is the only "true" tank, or are they right, and the character I made now obsolete as far as the reason he was created in the first place, to tank?
[/ QUOTE ]
I've done this TF as support for the Inv/SS tank. You just need buffs and a dedicated actual healer. Bubbles are ideal for buffs and while dealing with the towers anyway.
Dev's. There are people who would play Kin/FF. Chop-chop.
Edit: Your MotSTF will/should be a slow and cautious run with everyone paying attention to chat (ideally voice chat, but meh). Always refill on insps as needed and NOBODY on the team should be less than 50. -
Just don't let anyone get hit by GW's hold and you have a chance against Quantum Recluse.
-
Not Transformers (same as 1).
EW Boll directs a movie like a 2 year old.
Acting on par with Paris in House of Wax.
Story on par with The Hills Have Eyes 2.
Sound on par with standing next to the speakers at a grunge concert.
I take all the stars it's been given thus far and it still owes me several dozen.
It makes it onto my Top Ten Worst Movies Ever list. -

I actually liked the movie.

You are to blame for EW Boll making movies! > -
Double XP will likely be me either getting my stalker farmed to 50 (since I just want to have a 50 stalker), or playing 3 or 4 characters for drops and cash.
EDIT: Moo. -
Lunch was a banana and a green pepper. *shrug* Tomorrow's a holiday so that's mah bacon n' eggs for breakfast and a bag o burgers for the day day.

So let me get this strait, because The Agency is multiplatform, SoE is going to charge 68.99 rather than the typical 49.99? Bunch of idiots.
[/ QUOTE ]
Repeat after me: "SOE... Duuurrrrrrr!"
SOE are complete and total [censored]. After the [censored]-[censored] that was SWG: NGE released a DAY before Trials of Obi-Wan went live, and the complete mutilation (after [censored]) of MxO I have zero faith left in SOE. That's why I'm pretty sure DCUO is doomed to an early failure after a premature launch.

The Riechman SF is the longest, most difficult and yet extremely boring TF/SF I have ever ran. Took a preety good pug team 2 1/2 hours. The last mission took over an hour. I hope the big boss is bugged, cause that [censored] was crazy hard for 20 merits. Leading multiple NPCs thru a huge cave map is just annoying and the AV was like soloing a Pylon. Don't plan on EVER running this SF again.
Happy Anniversary! pffft...what a joke of an issue.
[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't consider it a "pretty good PuG" if it took you that long. When I did it earlier, we had 1 Cold, 1 Sonic, 1 Rad, 1 Storm then filled the rest with melee, took us 1 hour w/ a team that I knew maybe 3 of the people.
[/ QUOTE ]
8 Corr team did it last night. Sure it took a couple of hours, but done and done. -

Except Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ... Man, he was a CREEPY Willie Wonka.

Exactly. Willie was a pretty disturbed guy. Not so stable and pretty darn creepy if you sit down and think about it. I hated the remake, but Johnny was excellent. -

And no, scabbards, holsters, quivers, etc are not simple or quick to do for reasons that I don't care to get into right now. Yes, I know...everyone in game wants them, has been demanding them for years, and there's undoubtedly some other game already out or coming out that had them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope. With the Science booster you folks have officially done things not in ANY other MMO, including MMO's competing in the same genre that are scheduled for release.
