Go looking for the "Wolfpack robot". Really. Robot isn't capitalized in the mob name and it's been like that for years.

I bought GR on Steam when it was on sale ($5) and just log in via my main account anyway. It tosses up the NCS Launcher and then fires me into CoX. Works like a charm. Then again, aside from a certain recent game that requires another Distribution app, I have absolutely everything launched through Steam (and most are actually Steam apps).

I haven't seen a Red Name weigh in on it, but I'm pretty sure they mean that you need to actually have the missions now. Previously all you had to do was be on someones team when they talked to the student and went inside. Bam. Badge. Didn't even have to have done any of the previous missions. That's a bug.
Now, if I'm correctly interpreting, if I have the mission to talk to the latin student along with 4 others on my team, we all get the credit as our missions complete along with the team leader. -

I'd love to see ideas for more ranged sets that aren't just recolored existing sets. We have:
Shoot energy
Shoot darkness
Shoot radiation
Shoot pychic
Shoot pistols
Shoot rifle
Shoot laser gun
Shoot fire
Shoot ice
Shoot lightning
Shoot arrows
Shoot sound
They could possibly start mixing it up with Shoot Bunchastuff and include some powers from all of the above. But otherwise, what's left? Honestly. I'd like to know what people want to shoot at other people that we can't already. -

I certainly understand your feedback. It's something I've passed along to the development and business teams prior to this. If anything, know your feedback is being heard.
That being said, as has been mentioned, the licenses are a mere 180 Paragon Points/Month. Also, I'm not sure when you left the game, but did you know that you can use an alternate build to play with as well? Visit any trainer and you can switch your active build to another one. Many of our returning players keep a SO/HO based build in that slot, in case they decide to revert to premium status from VIP.
Rest assured, all content available for Free/Premium players is balanced around Single Origin enhancements being used. Thanks to the adjusted difficulty option, our VIP/Premium players who have access to IO's can enjoy the same content at a higher difficulty, if they so choose.
Again, welcome back, and I will be sure to convey your sentiment along. -

Wade has been planning this for 10 years. He's had 70 years of "how does Statesman react to things" observations to work with.
States did the exact same thing when anyone important in his life has died. He goes into seclusion. By painting a target on himself that was the only way Wade even had to draw him out otherwise States would have been all Supermaning it and floating in space somewhere. Wade systematically removed all the backup from the Phalanx that would be able and brash enough to hunt down States and intrude on his grief with a "Hey suck it up princess" speech. -

We have a double xp weekend coming up next month (the first I'll be able to enjoy in a while). I'm planning on leveling several lowbies that have gotten stuck in ruts as well as pushing for 50 on one toon.
How do YOU use your time on double xp weekends? Do you level the lowbies, push on to 50 or something in between?
That said I don't book days off or kill my weekend to spend 72 hours glued to my monitors. I'll probably be out that Friday night, then I have my normal TV shows to catch up on Saturday. I'll probably get 10-15 hours in total. -

Haven't even gotten a catalyst yet, but from what I understand you can convert your slotted ATO to a "Superior (purple)" ATO, giving it increased stats.
Caveat: regular ATOs and Superior ATOs are treated as separate sets, so you'll want to convert all of the ATOs in a set (all the ones you have slotted) to get all of the bonuses. Also, once converted they are account-bound, you can e-mail to yourself but can't sell or trade them away. -
Bought the 24 pack and received:
-full costume set
-2000+ reward merits
-a dozen or so ATOs
-3 catalysts
-a bunch of inspirations
-a bunch of unslotters, xp boosters, etc.
All told I'm pretty happy. I'll toss any left over points after any power set purchases towards a pack or two from now on. -

I got my wife to try playing CoH on a freedom account, and I'm wondering if anyone would care to suggest an AT to match what she chose to try to play. She chose a Kin/Energy defender, purely because it sounded fun to her, so that's cool. Keep in mind, she has never played a game in first or third person, so just walking around is a challenge for her LOL.
I was thinking a scrapper might work well, like spines or something, as I'd like to try to keep mobs off her, but since she will have trouble doing much damage, I figured a tank would make leveling a bit slow. But, I'm totally open to suggestions for anything. If you have power set suggestions, that would be great too.

Don't worry about her damage though. With Drain Power and eventually Fulcrum Shift damage will be fine for both of you. Tank if you wanna (SR/ softcaps at level 12 with DO's BTW )

Hero behavior is easy to predict. They will do something stupid to try and help the useless unwashed masses. Put an innocent in danger, no matter how you do it, and heroes will be tripping all over themselves to do something stupid that opens themselves up to attack. It's hero law.

I might have missed it but I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the simplest way to get any non-purple, non-PvP recipe: Hero merits (or villain if you're cool). Four days equals two merits and 2 merits equals any normal set IO recipe. You can do it in less than two days with multiple characters assisting and using the SSAs for a couple of extras per week.
Any of the characters I've setted out, only 3 fully and a 4th that still needs all her purples cost a billion or so. Then again I use a mix of normal sets, purples and a couple of PvP IOs as well as a few HOs for power in low numbers. A single Numina's proc can go for 100 mil (yay AMerits).
What you're trying to do is gear up for end-game raids. It's a grind. Period. *shrug* If you want to do it, just go in with eyes wide open. -
In no particular order:
- Travel Powers
Customization (power and costume)
Variety
I don't have 12 gagillion powers filling my trays (well I do, but that's by choice, I don't use most of them).
Regularly updated/added content
One thing above them all that I cannot believe nobody else has done, and is the number 1 reason I still play:
Supersidekicking system
I play that other new MMO as well and will keep playing for awhile yet, and paying for both City and that other one. - Travel Powers
