Yes, non-controllable pets should benefit from the Assault boost. They do not receive the passive damage boost, only the dmg stacks. The pets must be summoned while Assault is toggled on for pets to receive the bonus. Hawk has acknowledged that as something they would like to fix, along with Control Hybrid eventually granted to pets also, but this has not been implemented.

Quote:I understand the CoH loyalists will grief you over being disappointed with Hybrid, but I can't help but agree with you on this one. I personally prefer the always on toggle with an endurance cost. Also, the fact that there are still several bugs with Hybrid kinda just sours the entire experience. What was promised was a toggle that always buffed your character. What we got was destiny 2.0 with some different buffs and arguably a lot weaker (being single target). Anyone feel the sameway?
Overall though, the current Hybrid options seem so unimaginative. -
I did testing on Beta and on Live last night with various Hybrid powers on my Crab pet build. When it comes to pets and Hybrid, according to Hawk via PMs Assault and Control ARE supposed to pass on to pets.
- Assault: Pets do receive the benefit BUT they must be summoned WHILE you have the Hybrid toggle on. If pets are summoned without the toggle and then you turn the toggle on, they will not be affected. Also, the damage stack on each pet is bugged at 34% dmg buff (+170% dmg at 5 stack!) making them capable of reaching damage cap pretty easily. With radial they do double hit but it's still up in the air for me which is better as I can't make an accurate comparison with Core version being bugged/overpowered. So for now Core far exceeds Radial.
- Control: Pets do not receive the benefit because... well I dunno why. Hawk was well aware of this and said that all Hybrid powers except for Melee should work properly when Live hits. The conversation I keep referencing was from about 6 weeks ago. I'm not sure if they changed their mind or they just haven't visited fixing this bug. My money is on the latter.
- Support: Support Core is supposed to give 12% buff but only does so to pets, player characters receive 6%. On radial, player characters and pets both receive 8%, so pets dont get the bonus. My guess is that this bug has to do with the aspect of Pets receiving double the buff so either way it's still buggy after being reported long ago.
- Melee: Pets are not supposed to be affected by this Hybrid.
So as and MM or any pet heavy class, your best bet right now is Assault Core. When/If it's fixed, Radial's doublehit may be better but I'm still not 100% sure on that. When/If Support Core is fixed, the double buff of 24% on pets will be pretty tempting for survivability. 24% defense stacked on top of IO auras and Leadership buffs will make some tough pets. -

I use Shatter Armor and VG on hard targets so that's -40 (60 of you want you want to consider toxic). 40x8 = 320, and another 20 from Achilles for 340. I guess you can count another 10 from Reactive since you've got 48 pets applying it or other Interfaces.

Quote:This, completely. 8 Jinrazuos would be ridiculous. -340 Res on hard target, 8 sturdy Crabs and 48 spider pets all at capped damage and insane def/to-hit through stacked leadership. Crab durability, higher damage scaler, and mass pets will completely blow any corrupter super team out of the water by far.A team of 8 crab spiders would be pretty devastating. They would easily be at their defense cap(incarnate defense cap at that), and could easily be damage capped on top of it. They can debuff resistance to the tune of 160%, which is nothing to sneeze at either.
I'm too lazy to do the math as to whether they would outdo a corrupter superteam with all fire blast, since that the set to beat. The higher damage scalar on the crabs might give them the edge, but it's hard to say.
Nice thing about the crabs would be no offense toggles to worry about. You just move in and start blasting. -
So Trip Mine, Seeker Drones, and Omega Maneuver don't work with procs. The common denominator here is that they all Self Destruct/SilentKill immediately when triggering their power.
If I had to guess, the reason procs aren't working is because the proc chance calculation comes in to play slightly after the SilentKill portion on the caster so it just never calculates, well because the caster is dead. The reason Poison Trap DOES work with procs is because the power summons a second PseudoPet called Poison Gas and if you look at the numbers on that, the SilentKill has a 30 second delay. So essentially "Poison Gas" lingers around for a bit and during that time it applies any proc chances. http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...aps_Poison_Gas
It sounds to me like the fix on this would be to make Trip, Seeker, Omega, and I'm guessing Time Bomb work with procs is to add a small delay (1 sec?) to the SilentKill aspect and that should allow proc calculations to trigger. -
So I dusted off an old DP/Dev blaster to see if trip mines became much more viable with PPM procs. Being a pseudo-pet, it's my understanding that recharge number being used in the PPM formula is based off the pet's individual attack recharge and not the recharge on the pet itself. In this case, not the 20 sec recharge on Trip Mine, but rather the 1000 second recharge on Trip Mine's only attack. So a 1000 second recharge, even with a 16 target AoE at 12 ft sound like a 100% proc chance... however, that's not what I'm seeing and I'm not sure why.
When Trip Mine goes off I see two orange numbers above the enemies, the lethal and fire damage. Occasionally I see a third number, but I BELIEVE this is 50% chance of additional lethal damage in the power.
I tried setting up the combat log to show damage and pet damage inflicted but Trip Mine is not showing any info there... I'm assuming because it's a pseudo-pet it's just weird like that. My thought was that maybe the proc damage was applying but for some reason it just wasn't displaying, but I'm not too sure about that.
I've heard mention of people proc'ing up Trip Mine in the past, but that was before the days of PPM so I'm wondering what exactly it is that I'm not seeing here.
Anyone?
Edit: I ended up 4 proc'ing Trip Mine with standard IOs and kept toe bombing the same LT over and over and not once did I see a proc go off... either I'm extremely unlucky that 4 procs never went off after about 10 applications, or something is weird here. Does anyone know if procs for sure work on Trip Mine and have you tried it recently?
Edit 2: From more researching of older threads regarding Procs and Mines, I've come to the conclusion that it just doesn't work at all for some reason. I was never able to get procs to work on my Crab's Omega Maneuver so I'm guessing this is the same situation. Those people who sing the praises of procs on Mines are either seriously trollin' or under some major placebo effect. -

Every year it sells out quicker and quicker. I'm local to PAX prime and a buddy of mine buys Saturday passes for all our friends. Due to work I may not be able to go this year, so I may have a spare Saturday pass. Not sure if this helps you but just thought I'd throw it out there.

With Soul Form, Power Sink, and Energize, endurance should be the least of your concerns. For this reason, I think Superior Conditioning is unnecessary. I'd recommend going in an epic pool with AoE capabilities such as Mu Mastery.

Is that 5pm - 9pm or 5pm - 9am on May 5?

The end cost is horrible, but I can deal it. What I can't stand I'd how clunky it feels. The animation time, immobilize, forced hover, all of it just feels terrible.
Imagine how lame Nightcrawler would be if he was using CoH teleport. I almost wish the new power added to Teleport pool was a Combat Teleport with lower range, instant cast, no crippling side effects. -
I groaned and rolled my eyes when the whole thing started, but it turned out to be pretty funny. My favorite part was Nem's reaction to hearing that there's still 27 mins left on the Ustream.

I remember years ago, I SOOOO wanted the Boxing outfit available via Vet Rewards. Sadly, I was still about 1.5 years away until I reached that vet reward status. It was a long wait, but I was really happy when I finally got them.
Be thankful you can buy your way up to T9 now. -
Penny looks weird in both. I like the action portrayed in #2 but Penny just looks silly. She looks less silly in #1 so my vote goes there.
-
Quote:MoM would be my #2. I put TPN as my number one because it feels like you're always on the move and not just standing around like BAF. Plus, the 60 threads is a nice incentive.I put MoM as my favorite Trial, because it's pretty challenging and features some big story moments - the new Magisterium Trial would have topped the list, as I've been waiting almost 2 years now to finally smash Tyrant and his loyalist dictatorship, but it wasn't an option
As to what I'd like to see in the game, I'd like to see Incarnate version of existing TFs. This would be a setting you choose during the TF set up and it would allow you to run solo or in a team. Basically, it's just a more difficult version of the TF with AVs/Elites interspersed throughout. Think of Hell mode Diablo as opposed to Normal/Nightmare. This would breath in so much life in to the game for someone like me who wants to do more with their 50s aside from running trials all the time. I think many people would welcome something that's actually challenging in a team (not league) setting and I believe this would be the perfect method. These wouldn't be required but would still give some sort of reward (maybe incarnate junk).
I asked for something like this at the PAX prime panel last year and Posi replied in saying that this is something he's been thinking about and would like to see added, but I get the feeling that this is something that has fallen to the wayside. -
These things are a million times better than Awake inspirations though. Revival grants untouchable and no stun. It's basically the Return to Battle vet power without the inspiration buffs. Restores are nice to have for the unprepared teammate.
Since I got so many of these from super packs I tend to keep a stack of these readily available at all times. -
Quote:Plus, if they dedicate someone to this project, they'd have to pull him off the Twitter spam project. Don't be crazy now.As much as I understand your request, there is no feasible way for us to devote someone to transcribing our webcasts. Between forums moderation, social media, actually...you know...interacting with players, events, meetings, documentation, feedback, the list goes on and on...
I'm afraid that livestream transcription rests pretty far down on the priority list. -
Quote:People feel a need to discredit inconvenient truths because it's not what should happen. It's similar to how people discredit Pylon times/dps on pet builds. The super packs are cool and they're making Paragon money so the naysayers need to just deal with it.I think that a more important question would be how a group that's claimed to be only subset of the player base managed to force the Superpacks to the top of the sales chart above every single power set and costume bundle, when those apparently generate far more hype and anticipation, and require quite a few less units to be sold to make the same amount as the Superpacks have made - they need to sell 8 Superpacks just to match the amount they make from the sale of one power set.

In terms of radius, is it using base radius or enhanced radius? Hopefully base.

Im not a huge fan of the crab ranged attacks because they're slower than the huntsman gun attacks. Aesthetics aside, there's no reason why you can't make a crab with huntsman gun attacks though. Basically the best of both worlds, like Hannah Montana.
