I'm still....
I.....
What the heck was that?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's from an Anime called Tokyo Mew Mew, think Sailor Moon with catgirls. -
Very strange, very stupid and very unprofessional.
-
They should be ok, the US site offers a fansite kit with the various logos to help you make a site.
It's found here -

I think it's usual for beta 'vows of secrecy' (aka NDA) to be so restrictive that people can't even say that they are testers... if anyone who wasn't a redname (or explicitly authorised to talk about this) actually spoke about this from being in the beta then I guess it'd be the last post that we'd see from them...
[/ QUOTE ]
I sincerely hope that's not the case. It's an update, not Area 51! Heck, the fact that it's caused such a stir would be a good reason to make it more open.
That is, of course, assuming that the whole thing isn't just smoke and mirrors to make us think they're running a closed beta when they're in fact pulling the wool over our eyes in a bid to extend it's development schedule...
[/ QUOTE ]
The main reason for the NDA is probably to prevent people from discovering content that will end up being pulled due to bugs or exploits, or exploits that they can't completely remove.
That and the fact that it's pretty much a standard part of closed beta tests throughout the industry. -
*Throws cookies into the thread*
I'd run whilst they're distracted Avatea.
BTW, the old threads have returned, at the wrong end of the forums. -

rather than having nice shiny boxes in nice shiny stands in major game shops for the casual walk past buyer to go "oooooo that looks fun" the way I did.
[/ QUOTE ]
You are still failing to grasp that they could print as many nice shiny boxes as they want but there is nothing they can do to make retailers put them on the shelves.

Golden Girl?
That's a pretty villainous solution coming from you, are you feeling ok? -
For me to give an arc 5 stars, it needs to be engaging, (I have to care about the people involved for example), relatively original (All ideas are taken in some form, you need to make them fresh and interesting again when you write original fiction), fun to play and to have a normal XP curve (first mission easy, last mission hardest) as well as having a well writen story, (Go, Hunt, Kill, Skuls! does not count as a backstory
).
I will not be issuing 5 stars very often at all if I can help it. -
[ QUOTE ]
That's kind of the point.
I know there's a bucketload of talent out here, but I speak from personal experience when I say that when I've got the creative juices flowing it doesn't always come out the way I initially intended. How will you ensure you're delivering a quality adventure from that great concept that was in your mind? How do you know that anyone will give a monkeys? What's to say that it got the thumbs down for one aspect wheras the rest of the content was great?
Who judges it? Who helps you improve?

About writing, tell me about it, Human Justice was supposed to be a single piece about the capture of the Maestro of Mayhem, how it turned into a Nemesis plot I still don't know.
As for the feedback, I'm hoping for a comments box, failing that I'll probably advertise them on the boards and request feedback there although this limits the feedback to this side of the pond.
Needless to say, April will be very interesting. -
*Clicks off Word*
Playing my missions? I'm going to be using my little brothers account to post them the rate I'm writing them. -

CoH forums are a gigantic hug and cuddle fest if you compare em to AoC or WoW forums.
[/ QUOTE ]
Neko, any forum is a giant hug and cuddle compared to announcing yourself as a new player on the WoW forums. -
Complete Custom Mobs?
Mwhahahaha! Now my most evil of plots can come to fruition!
And everything's a Nemesis Plot. -
I'll take bad box art over no shelve presence anyday, you never know, game store clerks may actually remember the game is still going now.

Is it me, or does the Architect building look out of place there? Doesn't fit the style of Atlas at ALL!
Oh, and GIVE GIVE GIVE GIVE GIVE!!!

How big is your list of story arcs to make at the moment FFM? I know mine is 7 fully planed out, around 20 half planned arcs and god only knows how many more ideas.
[/ QUOTE ]
Make that 7.5 bluedarky. I liked your improved concept of my RachnaPunzel idea so much I want to post it (if you don't object of course) with some tweakings of my own of course.
[/ QUOTE ]
Go ahead, I only did it to keep me busy for an hour at work. (Now given that it took me an hour to write that, think about what I can do with a few days or weeks)
[ QUOTE ]
Oh, not that many... 2, maybe 3.. hundred.
[/ QUOTE ]
Should be an interesting first few weeks
EDIT: Hold it...
Pulled from Mother's list further up.

Conversely, you can create custom enemies and enemy groups.

Make that story arcs 8. -

Last day for many, but not for all of us just yet. You'll have to put up with me for a little while longer yet.

How long for you, GR?
[/ QUOTE ]
Can now let you know that I'll be here until the end of April.
[/ QUOTE ]
As much as I hate the fact that you'll lose your job this is good news, and hopefully you'll get a nice redundancy payoff to keep you going for a while after April. -

I don't ban, I exterminate with a double-sided hula skirt slash, be afraid, very afraid!

Hmm... What a way to go, though...

Frankly, I'd be embarrassed, I always assumed I'd be killed after designing a superweapon for an insane madman.
EDIT: For those interested my prices vary from a handful of cookies to a small island, I'll also come up with scemes to suit your new superweapon for a little extra.
[/ QUOTE ]
So what could I get for say... 2 cookies with a side of milk for the scheme?
[/ QUOTE ]
A device capable of hitting someone over the head from 4ft away which doubles as a disguise and a small town bank robbery.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ohhh, tempting... the cookies and milk are in the post.

And your sweeping brush and plans are in the post as soon as they arrive. -

I fear not your hula.. I have protection in the form of coconut armour flown in specially by swallows.
Anyway I have always know that my last words will be "what happens if I..."

Ah, I take it you are in the market for my destructo blast 6000 model, complete with easily overloadable cannon which will explode at the touch of the wrong button.
Or voice command, it's up to you. -

I think what we should all do now is take a note of whose attitudes/posting styles change the most during these next few days.
I wanna bust some bugs in test

"OMG, I can't believe that NCSoft are trying to turn us into their QA department and fob half-made content upon us in order for us to fix it for them."
Something like that?

More likely:
"OMG! I can't believe NCSoft are taking away our test server just so some dimwits can play with i14!! What a joke! How am I meant to test my builds now huh?"
But of course, I don't feel that way in the slightest.I wanna play with i14!

You just want to get your hands on the MA before most of the EU don't you?
That's not saying that I don't of course. -
Part 10 - Demon Battle
Bluedarky dived forwards after seeing the demon pull back in pain, his fists pummelled against the steel like skin of the demon and he felt the demon pull back. Looking up he saw black blood spilling from one eye.
You forgot, said Bluedarky, Back in your realm you have near infinite power, but here, you're bound to our universes laws. And that means you can be hurt!
Foolish mortal, roared the demon, You believe you can win if you continue this folly?
I don't have to win, he replied, There's a specialist team on the way to deal with you, all's I need to do is keep you here till they arrive.
And exactly how do you plan to do that? laughed the demon.
You forget, replied Bluedarky removing his gloves, I have your true name.
The demon growled and shuffled back in the corridor.
Now I'll admit, said Bluedarky pushing his gloves into his pocket, The power of true names is exaggerated by normal people, knowing the true name of water doesn't mean that I can stop the tide for example as that's a magic all of it's own, same said that I can't just say Incendia quod Flamma stop and expect you to stop as that defies the laws of free will.
It does however, prevent your magic from working around me. Bluedarky smiled as leapt forwards again. Now transform back into your real form.
How did you know? said the demon as it shrank smaller and smaller until it's true form was revealed to be about 4 ft tall and stick thin, arcane tattoos covered it's entire body. It's deep booming voice had given way to a squeek.
My grandfather was the Blue Boy, replied Stephan gripping the demons arms and pinning it to the wall, He told me about you, and demons in general. Anything over 6 feet tends to bust straight through rather than go through a host, they're usually powerful enough, especially round here thanks to the circle.
You made one mistake mortal, growled the demon pushing Bluedarky off him, You assumed I was weak without my magic.
Bluedarky fell back as the demon leapt on top of him pinning him to the floor, he struggled but his own strength, way above that of most people, was useless against the demon.
And now, it announced, You will die.
It's strange, said a voice behind the demon, I've known what I was from birth, but I didn't know how to use it, until now.
The demon twisted it's head to see Rachel standing behind it, her hand was already on it's back. It looked behind her to see Numina and Infernal. No, it croaked.
Power to bind, chanted Rachel. Power to find, and make it mine.
The demon screamed as the tattoos moved across it's body and up Rachel's arm, she writhed in pain as the tattoos affixed themselves to her skin. When it was finished she stood facing empty air with black tattoos up her left arm. She clutched her arm to her chest and fell to her knees as Bluedarky climbed to his knees and looked across at her. -
The only true TF that can be soloed is Posi, it's possible on most builds due to the fact that it has no AVs.
You still need three to start however. -

Now, if you want REAL ninja's, you need to talk to the guys at Ninja Burger! Totally invisible ninja's AND food to boot!
