did you guys find Hami harder to defeat than HERO1?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Absolutely. Well, I'll admit I didn't even know how to fight the first one, no clue, so I was pretty useless tackling it, while one the second I knew what I had to do so I surely helped the team a lot more

Thanks for the screenies Mummy, and for delivering some great Defending skills, as always!

And gratz to all involved (including poor Clau who got kicked by the system for zoning during a game-break... )!

its going back a while since i had this build as i swapped into atri form at 50...

basically powers 44 - 49 are just fillers, so it doesnt really matter what they were about.

the human side was built to disorient as much as possible, so standard attack was to hit the group as the tank reaches them with gravitic emination and then move into the middle of them and let inky aspect stun everything up to a boss.

next put the hold on a minion, mire then shadow blast the same minion, he should be dead now. unchain essence and everythings stunned entirely, including the bosses, then extract essence and start mopping up.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'll have to keep the strategy in mind... Meanwhile, what do you think of this "treatment" of your build?

  4. [ QUOTE ]

P.S. take PB and 3 slot rech asap (lvl 16). It truly rawks! especially since the secondary slow/-rech from both your primary and secondary benefit hugely from it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks for the suggestions! I really don't like Superleap on this toon (concept, as I said), so I think I'll just try to get along with superspeed + temp travel powers (AND the jump pack from the GvE bonuses that I have), and later on if it becomes a pain I can always respec to get flight in

As for PB, I'd take it earlier but I want Stamina asap... I'll admit however that two levels (20 to 22) shouldn't make that much of a difference...

Thanks again for all the suggestions, I'll post the revised build as soon as I have some time to prepare it!
  5. Thanks Blue_Note!

For the invention sets, I'll follow your suggestions. I was not very sure myself of Scirocco's since I'm making it on my main (level 47 DEF) and finding it bloody expensive at 45+ level, so it's really not something I could go for if not after level 50 for a sort of endgame quest.
Now let me understand a bit better the power picks (have a freespec in my hands, so... ). Do you suggest to take flight? I always choose my travel powers from concept, and for this Dominator I see two alternatives: SS or Flight. So, if you think flight is the way to go, I might as well go for it. If I take out the medicine pool, I can still take hasten in addition to flight... What do you suggest for the second power pick that's left?
  6. Hi,
I finally decided that it's time to play my Ice Dominator a bit, since it's such a cool AT and such a nice powerset.

I tried to make a build, with added IOs to spice it up a bit, but I'm no expert on the powersets neither the AT (currently level 10 ) so please feel free to tear it to shreds and give me some good advise

    Here it comes:

Have you played any RWZ content yet Faultline? seeing as there is also a generic hero called "Faultline"!! who has granite armour and stone cages...a troller/tank combo nice! I'm surprised they haven't genericised your alt yet?

back to OP, would have loved to help, but can't make sunday night...sorry!

[/ QUOTE ]If the player is older than the CoH character, the player can keep the name.

Then again, faultline takes his hero name from his father, who has been in CoH lore since the game launched...

    [/ QUOTE ]

With so many Flashes in the DC Universe (not to mention the Green Lanterns!), we can surely stand two faultlines, right?
  8. LOL you are so right. I forgot that we are not all from Paragon!

Let's meet in front of the Lady herself then

Please send a tell when you arrive, and I'll invite.

19:00 Uk time is sweet for me, and don't worry to much about not having a Rad....we never did and still dumped a ton of whoop tush on everything in sight, just lemme know what toon you want me to play as.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Good to know!

By the way, I don't know the others, but I'd love to see your Dominator into action (I love the AT! Though I have only a level 8 one myself, I find Dominators UBER COOL! ).
  10. Sure Clau!

So, there's 8 of us now. All agree on the time?

Choking Cloud, Tactics, and your debuffs? I hope you have many kinetic friends to keep your end rec boosted by speed boost.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I run CC, Assault, Tactics, 2 debuff toggles, Combat Jumping, Acrobatics, and Epic Armour without considerable problems. All are slotted with end reducers of course.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My Rad/Rad is still level 27, so I trust your word man! But at the point I am now I find endurance is always an issue, even with stamina... Maybe my enhancements for end red just are not powerful enough yet, given the level.
  12. Ok, so here's the current list:

    Blue Rush
    Blind Minotaur
    Chin
    Mother's Love
    Avo
    Ice Cupe
    HardRider v2 50

Still missing one member! Any Rad would be much appreciated, but there's room for anyone who wants in, really

As for the meeting and hour: what about 20:00 CET (19 UK Time) in front of Miss Liberty?
  13. Choking Cloud, Tactics, and your debuffs? I hope you have many kinetic friends to keep your end rec boosted by speed boost.
  14. Thanks a lot ExtraGonk, I'll keep this build and try it when I start leveling my WS
  15. Hi all,
I am trying to organize a RTF for next saturday. Since this a coop TF that heroes and villains can do together, if any of you is interested, check out this topic in the union heroes boards: http://uk.boards.cityofheroes.com/showfl...;gonew=1#UNREAD

    Thanks for the attention!
  16. thanks guys

@Blind_Minotaur: you're right, it didn't occured to me at first that this is a coop TF that can be done by heroes and villains together! I'm sure this will make it even more funny! I'll post on the villains board too.

@_Chin_: we can decide which toon you'll bring when we see what ATs and powersets are joining, you got a fair number of choices so we can just pick the best for the team!

Little thing i used on my Recall Friend. Put a Range increase on it. I found it much more usefull. It's recharge and End costs are okay with me. But on some maps you will need range (like Shadow Shards, Independence Port and iirc Eden Trial Map).

    [/ QUOTE ]

I did the same and I love it
  18. I have a TA/A def I'd love to play a bit (level 6 currently) but I fear it is too early for me to join, I won't really be available till 10 UK...
  19. don't push, there's room for all of you

    seriously, none interested?
  20. What Okton said

anyway, I like this build a lot more, make some adjust to slotting as advised and you'll have a very solid one.
  21. Hell yeah. EM Pulse is a great power. It will give you the same Endurance problems as atomic blast, but in this case it's worth it, since all enemies will be greatly impaired, unable to regen hp, to move and to attack (no endurance baby!). With ab, the enemies that will survive it will still be able to kick your A while you can't debuff them anymore. With EM pulse, they'll be incapable of... doinf anything, basically.
  22. Looks like a good build to me. useless to have 3 recharges on radiant aura, it's very fast recharging anyway so no need to waste slots there. 1 recharge is enough imho, 2 if you wanna play it safe. You also might wanna put 2 EndMod in AM together with the recharges, it gives a lovely end boost and thats always good, both for you and your teammates. Like Knightly said, for Lingering Radiation instead of slows put some recharges.

As for the radiation blast attacks, they're fine I believe, with only one exception: Atomic Blast. Using it will make all your toggles - and therefore all your debuffs - turn off, leaving you without endurance. I'm not sure it's worth to drop all your debuffs for a defender nova attack. On my Rad/Rad, I plan not to take it honestly.

    EDIT:
Leadership? Mmh. That's one end hungry beast I wouldnt really recommend...

Concerning Resilience, your suggestion is then to take it and don't slot it?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's a useful power but by no means essential - I probably wouldn't choose it over other powers. It is useful as a place to put resistance sets in for the set bonuses or uniques though, but to be honest I'm not that great a fan of these - the uniques don't really do much for a Regen and the set bonuses aren't that impressive.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My feel is indeed that the regen scrapper is probably the single AT that benefit less from all the uniques from the sets, that are, on the contrary, a bless for all squishies (and having two defenders myself, I had the chance to experience it firsthand!). But, say I take out resilience... what should I take instead? Is crippling axe kick, for example, any good?

Ps. fear pool is a very good means of keeping some enemies from attacking you when going solo against big spawns. It is indeed a lot less useful when teaming.
