  6. solid indeed, except i'd slot two procs into TF instead of just one. basically, i use the same slotting as with AS on a stalker.

    Finally...

    my only issue with pvp that i could see being resolved is movement supression and heal decay in a zone environment.

    the fact is this, survivability, in the original i13 design was gonna be based on three newly introduced mechanisms:
    - movement suppression (lowering survivability)
    - heal decay (lowering survivability)
    - anti-spike code (raising survivability)

    it just so happened that the third mechanism didn't go through. it is only fair that the other two be toned down accordingly in order for resulting survivability to work as intended.

    way to take the easy way out Castle?

  16. i dueled a stone stone a few weeks back on my dark/cold, told him i was gonna give him a free kill while i went to the bathroom / cooked dinner. i came back, and the score was still 3-0 after he spent 7 minutes pounding on me.


    and no i didn't have a heal on auto, or anything like that.

    i disagree on both the choice of dom and stalker.

    mind/elec or mind/nrg or fire/nrg for the dom. thunderstrike with BU hits hard as bricks (like, my fire/elec can toe to toe certain blasters and pull out higher burst dmg). I also dont think there's a squishy in the world that would be able to survive a bu'd thunderstrike + bu'd AS combo that's well coordinated.

    fire is great for ranging people, but you're looking for burst and disruption on a 3v3 team, not extended dps.


    The stalker? well, yeah, have you seen what a good impale with 2 procs will do? a thunderstrike + havoc punch + 1 impale should be able to kill a squishy that isn't getting healed.

  21. also at this point i'd put archery above fire in a team setting, but not above rad (figure out what i just did).

    archery has an extremely high damage attack (blazing arrow), and a stun. during a spike, you stun, count and hit blazing arrow for a massive scourge.

    assuming max skill, sonic is way above rad and anything else for that matter. a corr in a team setting isn't gonna be doing anything but debuffing and throwing out 1 or at most two blasts.

    sonic has that sick stun that packs a -res.

    when i thermed towards the end of i12 and the beginning of i13, my main role when it came down to the spike was hitting melt, the sonic stun, counting to two and hitting shout (i13) or scream (i12) for the scourge kill after the forts / stalker / blasters spiked.

    i do not think any other set can compete with the damage potential of that in a team setting.

    i did roll on a fire/cold for a lot of i12 on the ladder, but it was built understanding that i had so many debuffs to throw out (during a spike, i'd trow out webs, infridge, heat loss, and blaze) that blaze was gonna be the only way i could any damage out. blaze scourging against fire shields provided more damage than bitter ice blast after apocs came into play, and a lot of teams had really offensive oriented therms that weren't likely to pass out shields in i12 style pvp with forts being the main spikers.

    we got second place on a 3v3 tourney with a stalker, blaster, dom team; and even then we were having issues with will dom messing with dom holds and having no consistent kb (the dom was my fire/elec).

    the first place team was an emp, dom and blaster team.



    i also got a nice 3 day ban for talking shiz to a forst eld h's horrible team. it was pretty awesome.
