For a first timer, go with Bots. You won't be disappointed.
For a first timer secondary that likes keeping active, give Traps, Dark (<3 my fave), or Storm a go. (those are the best for bots imo.) -

Dont get me wrong... perhaps 25% of the time one can get some useful info. Most often though it's quite sad to see the same ol shat coming outta different toliets.
I don't mean to offend, and I'm not saying I'm better best good bad etc... I just have different defintions so debates are usually pointless here.

How do we make it better? we can't. Humans will come up with dumb ideas until the end of time. I never suggest anything because 5 minutes later I realize that it was a good idea not to post, as either the logic, reality, or "yeah right" comes to my mind.
Give any group of people a suggestion box and they will put anything they can possibly think of into it. I do read them still, however. Some of the explanations that follow the idea are lolz. -

Ok, now for a srs answer:
Elm/ would be a good choice, end drain to mix with your energy drain
SS/ goes well with pretty much anything
DM/ to drain HP and drain end with your energy drain (my friend has this build, it's pretty unstoppable)
