man I gotta go through all those posts, picking them all out one by one just to satisfy my ego?! Bah! Way too lazy for that.

I rarely see ice, sonic, or AR corrs these days. everyone's DP/ and Fire/, not that I blame them. They're sweet.
-
well last year I was a 1-week newbie at the time, so maybe this year I'll spend it outside of the AE building lol.

Sharkhead Isle: Freak Construction Co. (in Freakshow shanty-town) "Sure they can turn a man into a cyborg death machine... but they can't build a house worth a s**t!"
Love it, good call, Steel! -

Quote:You could easily put the either the Karma KB or the Steadfast KB into Shadowfall, Maneuvers isn't helping you much, you have almost no single target attack chain, and the worst offender of all, you're trying to softcap defense and you ignored Fearsome Stare.
I would normally think that this is a troll post, but I've seen a lot of bad builds lately, so I'm not so sure now.
I'm glad this guy jumped in, it's his giude that in his sig that I followed and now have one beast of a corr. -
I don't know if you'll find yourself using jump kick too often. My Fire/Dark isn't a melee-goer too often, but you might enjoy it.
Have you considered the Mu pool? I'm at work, can't install mids to show a build, but just going off of what my main has. He took power sink, conserve power, charged armor, and the Mu summon.
He'll normally have conserve on auto (he's io'd with heavy recharge so it's up quite often) And usually send in the Mu and/or fluffy to take the alpha, then starts the cycle of TP, RoF, FS, then spams fire moves until everything melts. When he runs low on end he runs next to one of the pets and charges back up with power sink, it's a good non-stop blasting build.
I found PG to not be very useful since fluffy and Mu both have a hold too, but it may be useful to you.
The best part about Fire/Dark is that a LOT of the powers take sets that give mad recharge and accuracy. Posi blast, Abyss, dw despair, all great for that. -
that sounds pretty cool. It would make it more challenging for those who are too used to it.

Normally I'll be playing Fear Factory, Heaven Shall Burn, Children of Bodom, Machinehead, 3 inches of blood, Cradle of Filth, or just the Redrum Radio in another window if I'm feelin' like a mix. I love it heavy though, especially when on my brute. \m/ (>_<) \m/

Quote:ahhh my bad my bad, meant those questions for the OP, you explained that you use melee types. I have a feeling OP might too.The fact it's a really small radius means that if the pet moves at all while the heal is animating, you likely missed healing your pet. Time and again I'd go to heal my zombies, and they would decide to move five feet to hit something else... thus not getting the heal. When it hits the pets though, they are HEALED.
I wouldn't even try it with ninjas personally. They are too freaking spaztic. Ranged pets I guess would work better. They like standing in place more often then not. Of course that excludes the arsonist from Thugs. he thinks he's a boxer frequently. -
Quote:lol I can hear Xibit's voice now:I turned my rep comments off after going from 3 positive bars into the negative and could only find 2 neg repped posts... one of them a suggestion that a thread devoted to suggestions should go in the suggestions forum.
"Yo dawg, I herd you like postin' suggestions, so I pimped out this forum to have a suggestion thread in the suggestions forum so you can make sugegstions while you make suggestions" -

Quote:thanks for clarifying thatNo, slotting TG for range increases how far the enemy can be from you to heal.
I have a bot/DM mm, and Dark is definitely my fave mm secondary, but I never had a problem with it myself, but then again, from reading Enigma's post, the bots were always in BG mode so they always were close enough for the healz.
It's an awesome heal, nonetheless. Is the problem the heal not hitting the pets due to distance? Or maybe some practice is needed with keeping the pets close? What pets are you using?
Also, the heal IS powerful, when slotted. My mm cranks out roughly 408 HP per shot. not bad at all. -
Wouldn't slotting for range increase the radius as well as the target distance?
-
That would be cool, maybe open 1 of each faction zone to the opposite?
For Red, I nominate Nerva (buttloads of LB there anyway), and Faultline for Blue. -
I stayed on Freedom, but used the server transfer to send two lvl 50's of mine to each of my other servers, Champ and Pinn. Now I have a least one 50 on each of the servers I play on.
The whole process was good for a quick free name change too for toons that I felt needed it. -
there was a specuation thread about that about a week ago, but that's all it was...speculation.
Might possibly have something to do with these new incarnate levels? -
I always wondered what the demoralize chance % is when that goes off, as well as the radius, it seems like a targetted AoE effect.

*turning off the goofball helmet for a sec*
Personally I enjoy the redside mostly for it's linear career track across the zones. The first time I rolled a hero, it was a little overwhelming with the opening zone having entrances to 3 or 4 other zones, some newbies might mistakenly take off to a higher level zone from there and get a beat down, which is a lesson learned I guess, I did, lol.
But it only takes one villain toon going to 40 to figure out where you go at what level. Some missions have you running from zone to zone just like Blue, but it doesn't take as long as on Blue to figure it out, although any vet on here will easily tell you the string of Blue zones in an instant.
Now that I know the red road very well, the wondering of if Red will get some new zones or missions where you cause havoc like the mayhem missions will be implemented begins to sink in, but that would be ignorant to new players who wuold find it easy to follow the same way I did, but the devs are better at figuring out that sort of thing than I.
Blue seems to be getting the focus on improving what's there, and Red seems to not have as much, and what's there already doesn't really need improvment imo, just maybe new stuff. Ultimately, it's all wishful thinking as the new baby in the family (Praetoria) will be getting most of the attention, and the 5 year old and the 3 year old are going to have to deal with some jealousy issues for w little while, although the things like the posi tf revamp and such are a nice touch and still show some love for what's already there.
