Thanks for the answers guys and I'm glad to hear there's an economy in the game , I'm sure it will keep me plenty busy.

One more thing...I love archers in most games and saw in a CoH photo that there's someone with a bow. So I take it you can be an archer in this game? If so, I'm gonna have to make me a Hawkeye.
Good to hear. Yep you'll get CoH and CoV in the same shot, cause you'll have to go some where when you hit 20

As far as Archers go, you'll like an Archery/Trick Arrow Corruptor (villain), or A Trick Arrow/Archery Defender (hero)
  2. It's supposed to give you the matching badge from the opposite side.

    EX: Invader--->Task Force Commander
    Marshal--->Atlas Medallion

    etc.

    Hope it helps.

EDIT: read the rest i missed, you have doubles?! COOL! I'd bug it, but get screenies first
EDIT after your EDIT: well alrighty then.

    Damn Timing

New Futurama stopped the Doomers? What opening is this?!
  4. Hi! Welcome to the game!

You get heroes and villains with going rogue, because the "going rogue" zone is only lvl 1-20. After that you become a hero or villain, and off to the respective land you go.

Oh there's an economy in this game all right! Heroes have Wentworth's consignments, and villains have the Black Market. they used to be seperate, but got merged recently.

IF you buy the boxed expansion you get more costume parts, a couple of stances for your characters, temporary power, a couple of cool auras, and a month of free game time.

    Hope it helps
  5. There's a plant/fire guide in my sig, check it out. It's the only dom I ever stuck with all the way to 50.
  6. for a melee type I'd just stick a Kinetic combat: chance for KD in there if it's a slot-heavy set.

for non-melee type? dunno, probably wouldn't bother.

    APP and PPP?

only one set. PPP or APP. And just one set from whichever you go for.

However if you're going to do the arc for the PPPs, you can do Black Scorpion's and take Mako's set if you want. Doesn't have to be the matching patron.
  8. LOL the brute one is my fave!

  10. oooooooohhh, tough call.

I have a lvl 39 NB/Nin that I love to death, that combo really lets you feel like a ninja, and BS/ is pretty close to NB/......

    But hey, the new shiny!

I've also been playing a new praetorian KM/Regen and having a blast (no pun intended) with it too. /WP is good for survival too same as /Nin, both have a self-heal, a good T9 "god mode", but I'd have to vote for BS/Nin, just because then you'd get to go unlock all the cool sword varieties later on, and that's fun stuff.
  11. My Plant/Fire Dominator, BC Skunk, hit 50 about 5 minutes ago on blueside as a Rogue.

    Gratz buddy! You're finally legalized!
  12. that sounds reasonable. Pretty much like unlocking your morality mission after 10 tips missions I guess. good enough.

    new AT: Pet

Do you mean, comparitively, like a hunter and their pet in WoW?

Hilarious arcs! Nothing makes you feel like a villain more!
  15. Looks like no more fun games of "How laggy can we make the BM", that we all like to play over on Freedom.

    My bot/DM MM loves those...

    Vendetta system

There's an arc or two I've done on redside where you get attacked on the outdoor map by the same type of enemies that you defeated in the last 3 or 4 missions.

EX: Running an arc in Sharkhead, did 3 missions all taking out freaskhow. soon as I left the 3rd mission, a small group of Freakshow were heading towards the door I just came out of, nowhere near Potter's Field, mind you, where they usually hang out. Not only that, but they were going right for me, not just minding their own business like the other mobs on outdoor maps.

So that makes me wonder, does a smaller version of your idea exist already? If so, then a vendetta system could definitely be built on what;s already there I would think.

  18. I was wondering something like that as well. I haven't done a lot of the missions, not even at the single player-only missions yet, but I team a lot and I think I'll be at 20 before I actualy get to the leaving point with any contacts. Can we leave at 20 without having to tie up any loose ends?

There's one rogue mission where you team up with Desdemona (cool! And I was on my own MM so lotsa pets!), save a named hero type from assassination (Overdrive? I can't remember), defeat a named captor, and then Mangle (I think) shows up to try to finish off the assassination and you and Desdemona into the bargain. Now that was a cool mission! ^_^ Named enemies, named ally, named hostage, hero, villain, rogue all at once!
That one IS fun! I believe it's Blasty that you save.
  20. something would have to be done to Parry, but man BS/ would be sooooooo B400t HAKK!!!!!

That's another thing I like about Praetoria. There's still a hang out place in the starting zone, a much bigger one to boot. We don't have a hang out spot in RI.
  22. I had a rogue mission where I had to save Overdrive. Now while going through all the mayhem missions on the way to lvl 49 where I am now, Overdrive was the hero showing up at the bank 4 out of the 9 missions, and when I went to destroy the statues for my cape at lvl 20, who showed up to get trounced? Overdrive of course! Now how fitting is it, I thought, that she's be the first weak-**** hero who I now have to save instead of the usual pounding I'm used to delivering. I'm certain I heard her laugh about it just before she ran out the door at the end, lol.

that sucks....at least you're not stuck with Archus.

so I guess that means that "tourists" won't be able to go monster-hunting without going full alignment?
