The pack is certainly getting a lot of, "that's not the mutation we've been asking for!" in the feedback thread. My reaction was the same as all the other packs, "SQUEEEEE! MORE STUFF!" I am probably in the minority in that I treat all packs simply as more stuff packs.
There is one character I have that I did not even expect to use the Mutation pack on, and that was with my white knight character Valkyrior:
But lo' and behold, it finally gave me something I have been waiting for - proper glow eyes! Before, I simply had to fake it as such:

No matter how specific some items can be, there are always creative ways to use them together. Take a look at this character, which uses pieces from Valkyrie, Magic, Natural, and Tech packs:
With that said, it really is a bummer for those that have not seen what they were hoping for. It seriously is. Now those folks will have to wait until who knows when for their most wanted things to trickle in either with an Issue or with a Booster Pack; and we all know that waiting is not fun. You just have to hope that the next time the dart hits the "Yes, this is obvious use of the Mutation theme" square on the dartboard instead of the "Okay, this could be on the fringe of Mutation" square. The word obvious being a very subjective one, obviously.
