    I would have a significantly faster recharging Build Up, more Accuracy, more Resist, and more Defense (global and +Fire/Cold). I agonize on every build down to the very last slot, the very last power pick, what to take, what the put where. Everything squeezes as much as it can out of the bloodstone as possible to get that last drop of power. These benefits listed are like a bucket of awesome, just because I had a few slots left over my intended targets and could rearrange accordingly.

    Are you not understanding what people are telling you here? FA dies in higher challenge situations because of their other weaknesses and because 4 points of KB protection is not enough. I think there have been already a few people that have stated knockback protection's very binary nature. Your Nemesis mission is a good enough example where having 4 points means having none. They will still knock you back. Having 4 points won't mean anything, it won't get you back on your feet faster, it won't let you use Healing Flames while you're sent flying through the air.

    Hell, using IOs and Acrobatics even won't get you any Knockback Resistance. You take a look at something like Unyielding and it gives -10,000% Knockback Resistance. Any power, whether it be Ice Patch, Hurricane, Headsplitter, or anything that debuffs you and has a Knockback component is outright denied any magnitude stacking of KB with that kind of number.

  10. Agreed. It basically comes down to getting Invincibility and slotting up your Defense numbers. Once you've got said power, it's smoooooth sailing from there. Before then, powers such as Siphon Life, Parry, and Divine Avalanche help make the ride less bumpy.

  12. I have outlived Tanks and entire teams before. Though this may be the case of my primary contributing heavily as well. Being able to top off your health every four seconds is great.
  13. Ever since it got improved many Issues ago, I have been enjoying Invulnerability quite a bit! Those small tweaks were just enough to make the set interesting for me, and incredible when IO'd out. Remember, it isn't just about the Resistance numbers on Invulnerability, but the Defense numbers as well.

  15. I've been taking my time with the content and reading everything new to me. My friends were shocked that I hadn't leveled up faster, as I usually do in the lower levels. Why should I zip through the content when it is new though, right?

  20. Apologies. I did not actually laugh when I typed that. Similar to when I type Lol and sometimes do not actually laugh.

    Stop using Bad and Fiery Aura in the same sentence. Unless you mean Badass. Of course Fiery Aura is an offensively geared set. That is why my Fire/Fire is my favorite Scrapper. Don't tell me Shield Defense can be built into an offensive monster and still get the best mez protection (Disorient, Hold, Immobilize, Sleep, Fear, Confuse, Repel, Knockback) while Fiery Aura, Dark Armor, and Ninjitsu have to keep their lack of knockback protection.

    I haven't been very vocal about SR but.. surprise! I think more can be tweaked or changed with that set. When SD's mez protection can be stacked to give the character capped DDR, what the hell does SR have left? Denying (other than Base Defense) Defense reduction is no longer SR's shtick. Yes, I'm still talking about the high end builds. SD will need to spend Inf to obtain this feat. It is just SR. The mez protection it has gives no special perk. I hate the binary nature of SR. The scaling resist isn't even much, except for a tease. At least with Shield Defense I also have the added value of murdering things fast and having significantly higher HP.

    I am fixated on my style of play, which is BREAKING ENEMIES IN HALF.
  21. Laughable. Please don't ever say that Super Reflexes suffers in the high end game compared to Fiery Aura. The only thing that set suffers from is being overshadowed by Shield Defense.

    By the way, Practiced Brawler is the only Scrapper Secondary mez protection that gives nothing other than mez protection and and mez resistance. Dark Armor's mez protection is a Psionic Resist. Electric Armor's mez protection is also a Psionic Resist. Willpower's mez protection is also a Psionic Resist. Invulnerability's mez protection is a Resist to All (excpet for Psi). Regeneration's mez protection is both an enhanceable and unenhanceable Regeneration. Shield Defense's mez protection gives Defense Debuff Resistance that can be stacked to give an SD character the DDR cap. Fiery Aura is the only one that has a mez protection that doesn't house all of the mez protections under it. Of the three protections FA gets in toggle form, one is shifted to Fire Shield. Immobilization protection is on a click power and depending on the build you're going for, could be a wasted power pick and slot(s). Though I doubt that, considering how awesome the power is now.

    So that leaves us with Super Reflex's mez protection, which gives nothing other than it's mez protection. You can try to single out FA, but SR is the one that has been singled out here.
  22. A Fire/Fire with Smashing/Lethal soft-capped and decent Melee Defense (40%~) with a good amount of global Recharge (47.5%). Endurance should be sustainable indefinitely (Focused Accuracy or Maneuvers are set mules, but might be offset by continual use of Consume). Healing Flames Recharge at 16 seconds. Makes use of the new and improved Burn, which Recharges at 10~ seconds. Good amount of Accuracy, but not great (+45% global).
