- Same goal as before - indestructible without giving up too much DPS for it.

Ah yes, the dialogue window that pops up after you exit the mission was very demoralizing for me, considering I usually only play Heroes. I'm crossing over on my Blaster because she needs the Scorpion Shield.

Well, it's not exactly 40 Merits and 2 Shards but I think the difficulty of the Apex/Tin Mage TFs warrant the 14 Merit increase. How fast can the new TFs be done on a PuG? I doubt too fast as the norm, but then again they can't be done at all if you're level 35 through 49 like the ITF can be.

I thought about slotting up Parry, but I guess I didn't think hard enough! No duh the end-game content is going to require more than just 45% bAss_ackwards! So I'll slot up Parry for those oh sh**! moments. What kind of Defense should I be looking for if I am Level Shifted and fighting 54s? Would one application of Parry be enough? I guess they have debuffs for us and buffs for themselves too. Two Parry applications and then attack chain? Blargh.
You think I should have a Kismet in Parry? This kind of Accuracy won't be enough for those 54s? Yeesh. -

There is a serial killer pretending to be a Longbow Agent, so you gotta "give him a fair trial". So, you frolic through the flowers of Grandville to the mish, and once you are inside, you fight Ghosts, which are like, the people the Agent slaughtered. So, you find his diary in the mish and the dude is all "OMG THEYZ R PRAYIN LIEK ALL GHOSTLIEK, GET MEH OUTTA HAR" So, eventually you find him, and he goes: Will you be my friend? So, as the good hero person you are, you take him and bring him to a ghost. As you fight the ghost, he gradually loses health, and eventually he slits his own throat, and he dies smiling. Also, through the whole mish he screams MAKE THE PRAYING STOP!!!!

Overall, by far, without a doubt, not even rivaled, the creepiest mish in the game.
After that mission for a while whenever I thought of "smiling" the first image I came up with was a slit throat. Holy crap.
By the way, since you didn't indicate it in your post - he was very fond of making his victims "smile." When I realized what he had meant, I was creeped the eff out. The ending where you broke what sanity was left in the poor sod was just pure evil. He couldn't take it anymore and finally decided he would "smile" as well. -

Right on! I'm glad I'll be able to do a decent chain there. At least, I think it's decent! I'm betting that 0.4 second gap will be eliminated with the Very Rare or even just a Rare Spiritual boost.
Wait a minute, do level 53 Hami-O's have different Enhancement numbers than 50's? Ah ha, so the numbers in Mids are not being reflected correctly. Well hell, 95% is good enough for me! I will switch out two of the Membranes for Enzymes then. If they change how Hami-O's work in Active Defense in a future patch, it won't be so bad for me. Hami-O's are very much within my grasp if I need to buy them.
I'll start with the Endurance Reduction since I can just drop a proc onto it. -

- Trading the Shield Wall and Panacea proc for 12.5% more global Recharge. This extra Recharge in addition to the Very Rare Spiritual Core Paragon boost should put me at perma-Hasten, or within a couple of seconds of it. Worth the trade?
- Oh crap, I'm slotting Brawl! What's wrong with me?! No really, it saves me 1 Enhancement Slot and allows me to put in the purple IO set for Midnight Grasp.

Seems like Succubus Kali would be 10 to 15% short on Recharge with the Very Rare Alpha boost. Not bad at all. Only a few seconds of Hastened downtime I think.
So you don't think the difference between 32.25% less and 25.78% less is a big enough difference to have that third slot on Hasten? -
Looking over that thread again makes me want another pack. Liek, rite nao. Hahah.

2/3rds of 45% is 30%. Would that mean if you had the Very Rare Spiritual boost and ED capped Hasten, you could essentially get perma-Hasten with 30% less global Recharge than is normally needed?

What do you think about using a Very Rare 45% Recharge/33% Heal Spiritual boost? That one ignores 2/3rds of enhancement diversification, which I have a feeling could do marvelous things. For one thing, you could get perma-Hasten with a build that has a good amount of Recharge instead of the extreme amount of Recharge needed currently.
Also helps with damage mitigation if you've got a Self Heal power. Not exactly more Damage, but being dead means doing 0 DPS. -

Spoilers ahead, yo.
The outcome of that mission made me feel terrible. Not only did I have the kid's grandmother killed, but I then also killed the kid in his greatest moment of dispair. Yeesh! -
I haven't updated my Broadsword/Shield Defense character up until just now. I think the build is kind of a mess and would like some help to sort things out if you guys don't mind. Couple of things right off the bat:
- I'm not sure if it is possible with an Uncommon Spiritual boost, but I'd like to go for Head Splitter > Hack > Disembowel > Hack as my single target DPS chain and Whirling Sword > Hack > Slice > Hack as my AoE chain. What do you folks think?
- I don't think I am getting capped Defense Debuff Resistance with Active Defense double stacking. What am I doing wrong?
- I'm kind of worried about my Endurance Recovery, as in if it will be enough for the single target and AoE chains. Conserve Power will be nice, but I don't think will be a big help the way it is.

Am I getting it wrong, or did Eiko-chan really say that an ITF without a Dark Miasma wielding character is doomed to fail as a blanket statement to PuG ITFs, or did she mention it as something specific to her VG?
Honest question. The former would startle me right out of my skin, where I could trust the latter - she's played with her VG and knows the most about their team dynamic, but all the same that doesn't say anything on the performance of the general populous doing ITFs with or without Dark Miasma. -
For me the gameplay mechanics have always been my main enjoyment from the game. The story takes the backseat but is most definitely appreciated when presented and written well.
