Mindlessly? I'm offended good sir! I'll have you know that at all times I was very mindful of my surroundings, when my powers were done recharging, my team mate conditions, and the current mission goals at hand for all of the fun I've been having!

The referral was to my own experience, of which is the only one I can be 100% sure of. I don't think I'm alone in how I enjoy the game though, as evidenced with the friends I play with regularly.
  3. Certain parts of the Trials do scale down to the minimum and up to the maximum player count and Lambda can already be run with only 8 players.
  4. Probably should have not mentioned Another Game, but as for me it's the opposite.

It's not grinding if it is fun. I honestly mean that too, I had fun and along the way I got over 300 Shards from it.

There were some days that I played a lot, but for the most part it was from a few hours at night that I got any time to play for the day.

  7. Bam, got my last Very Rare component I needed - a Self Evolving Alloy. I am now at Very Rare with Alpha/Interface/Destiny/Judgement/Lore. Wewt!

Very recently for the first time I looked at Stone Armor on Mids'. Yuck was my response. I think the reason I've never considered Stone Armor or its proliferation is because of the costume killing Granite Armor toggle.

I had over 300 Shards before I20 was released. I converted them and got some rather powerful Incarnate abilities with them.

But I guess that doesn't count, since I got all of those Shards while playing with my friends, huh?

Except for my group of buddies and I that have for several days now been running these to get people their Exp, Badges, and Incarnate salvage. From sun up to, well, sun up again.

I don't know about PvP, but the other things you've argued against are essential to my continued subscription of the game. If not for loot, crafting, gear, raids, level-50 gated stuff I don't think I would've made it 7 years. This isn't even the only game I play either. There are a multitude of systems - console, PC, handheld - that I play, all of which have extremely compelling games that compete for my free time. I'm trying to imagine a game where there aren't those previously listed additions and it looks basic, bare, and boring.

I'm still here close to 7 years because budget and time permitting, the developers working on this game past and present have always given me new things to do. They've done right by me and I assume for the most part it's the same for you, Sam. Maybe I'm wrong?
  12. Gah. Now I want to make a Spines/Fire. Except I don't have a character concept ready for that particular combo. Why can't Scrappers have Ice Armor so I can finally make my Spines/Ice? Yeesh!

People have demands of your Stalkers to play the Incarnate content? (Okay, I am actually sorry for that bad joke) You could always say no to these demanding people.

I'm having a blast so far. Trying for my last Very Rare salvage and then I'm gonna get my Number 2 Incarnate character going on this. Think that's all I'll ever do for Incarnate characters though.

I can't wait for the Keyes Island and Underground trials to go live!
Despite all of the the vocal disagreement with the content in I20 leading right up to the launch of the Issue, it seems that that on my home server the Trials are a bustling activity until even past midnight. Give it a month at the least and we'll see if all of the forecasting that this end-game content is not what CoH/V is are correct or not.
  15. Since last night I already have my Very Rares on Destiny, Interface, Judgement, and have Lore lined up for a Very Rare as soon as I get a Very Rare salvage drop.

On the spot.
But you do agree that a Lore expansion of demon pets would be quite nice, right?
  17. Did an ITF (22 mins I think) and an STF (44 mins) and just melted all of the opposition. No "healers", no debuffers for both of em'. That was fun!

Honestly, we weren't even trying for a "best time" kind of run. Just plain having fun and destroying enemies in our path.

Those with layered damage mitigation will be the last to die, if at all. On my DM/Inv/Blaze I rarely die on these Trials, even with full-tilt Scrapperlock going on.

The only other explanation is that you were "inspired" to get a giant orbital laser and at that point... Did the Well really "give" it to you?

Yes, I agree with an Orbital Laser power and with an Artillery Support power and such. Would love to see them. Not sure what we'll have to re-explain to account for them, but I want them.
The Well is the source of all power, as it were. It is the source of random Mutation, the source of human (or inhuman) ingenuity with Technology, the source of Magic, the source of a lab experiment going incredibly right instead of outright killing the Scientist, it is the source of pure willpower and cunning for all things Natural.

For expanded Lore pets, I'd love a Demons set!
  20. I might be the special case here - most of my Trial runs are filled with my buddies. But then again after 7 years of playing this game, it's kind of hard to not make that many friends to play with.

If I add in double stacked follow up to both then the brute needs 132% damage from fury. Im sure the numbers would change if I added more attacks, but this is enough for me to get the idea.

I dont know what the heck I looked at before, but I thought the base damages were much closer. If I did my math right then I fully understand the advantages of a scrapper. Its base damage is significantly higher, not just the little bit that I thought before.
Some values were changed when Claws went over to Brutes. If I remember correctly, Bill Z Bubba (when he was still playing) said that it was even superior to the Scrapper/Stalker version.
  22. Just for giggles, I thought I'd port over my Scrapper build on Succubus Kali over to the Tanker AT. I didn't have to change much, and what it achieves looks quite nice. Things of note: Perma-capped HP from Dull Pain, perma-Soul Drain (pretty much), perma-Hasten. Softcapped Defense to S/L/F/C/E/N with one foe in Melee. Hardcapped S/L Resist. ~28.5HP/sec Regeneration. Attack chain is Midnight Grasp>Smite>Siphon Life>Smite with Shadow Punch thrown in there every once in a while to get the Bruised debuff on the target.

What are your thoughts? I don't even play Tanks, but would this be useful for anybody to get some ideas? Anything else?
