Why not? Have you ever wondered how the people living outside of Cole's Empire are doing? Don't you want to see the savage lands, to help those besieged or rule over them?
-
-
Now that is cool Sam! I really like the colors there, especially for the weapons! Great job on the outfit, I say!
-
My fellow Scrappers, it has been a pleasure enforcing violence and chaos with you for these past 7 years.
I've enjoyed comparing Pylon times, reading about how someone soloed multiple AVs, working on Mids' builds with the community for your characters and mine, getting into the nitty gritty of any maths that are relevant to our interests, hosting and participating in "All Scrapper" runs, squeeling like a little girl when new toys arrive (new sets and proliferations), and many, many other fun and lively discussions we've had here.
Scrappers, you're a helpful community, you're an engaging community, you're a community that seeks challenge just to break it, you're my favorite community on these boards.
Thanks for being so awesome. Here's to another 7 years of Scrappers!
-
Wow, what a great read! I want more!
-
Congrats on year 7!
... I can't wait to dig into that new zone! -
It's here! We've finally unlocked it!
So tell me my friends, what will you do with your unlocked Vanguard goodies at level 1? Show me those characters!
What I've always thought was cool were the Vanguard claws - you can make Elemental Blades with them! Here are many examples:Dark Claws:
If I had the pack, I would've made Valkyrior with her Light Blade and Shield at level 1 as well!
Fire Claws:
Ice Claws:
Psi Claws:
Toxic Claws:
Light Claws:
So what are you making (or remaking) with the Vanguard Pack unlocked? Show us the goods!

Quote:I lead the charge on teams, regardless of Brutes or Tanks. That was my exact thinking behind making my latest character a scrapper instead of my usual brute.. I don't like having to always lead the charge. Plus now I can take a bio break or chat whenever without losing damage
-
This is mainly the reason why I've always picked Scrapper over Brute. It isn't about the numbers, but the playstyle and what is expected of me on teams.
-
The problem with comparing straight Damage bonus is that Scrappers and Brutes have different Melee Damage modifiers. Scrappers for example get more out of Soul Drain and Against All Odds because they have a higher modifier.
-
Hrm, that's an idea I've never thought of. Whether it does work or not, it still bothers the hell outta me that I'd not be doing any damage throughout that recovery period. I just can't find a good reason to recommend Unstoppable for regular use on a Scrapper. Even as a panic button I've never used it, before and after I was IO'd out.
-
I've always taken Unstoppable to place a IO in it. The power is worthless to me. With the kind of build I have on my DM/Inv/Blaze, I've never been in a situation where I can say that the crash afterward is worth it for what I'm currently facing.
I really would not have that Regenerative Tissue in there. I highly recommend the Rebirth Radial Destiny power for this build and whatever that IO is able to give you is laughable compared to the Regeneration you'll have permanently with said Destiny power. Instead, use that slot to put a 3% Resist to all on Weave. That will help you out better than adding a drop of water into a bucket already full. You'll be at over 30% on F/C Resist, approaching there with E/N, and hardcapped for S/L. -

Quote:Honestly, I wish there were a new window for the Incarnate Trial specific Temp Powers similar to the Objectives window. No need to dig into the Powers window, just look at the window that would be open by default and use or give it to the designated person. If people find kicking too drastic, you can always ask for a Temp Power drag before you start and move the people who do it new teams. Then move the holdouts to individual or small sized teams. Then you can keep track of who did it. Then send /tells to the hold outs.
Then kick.
So much has been done to streamline the Incarnate Trial experience that I don't see why something like this wouldn't be up for serious consideration. -
The 7 Years of Super rewards, 84 month badge, and hopefully a tantalizing 7th Year Anniversary/State of the Game address! The 28th can't come soon enough!

Quote:It doesn't have Fireball, but you can change the build a little bit to get it. One note though, this build is intended to be run with the +Recovery/+Recharge Destiny.I'm going to try a "challenge" now. Character is a Spines/Fire Scrapper, infinite influence. Goals are:
1. Defense to 32.5% at all, or at least Sm/Le
2. Recharge as high as possible
3. Must have fire ball (for concept).
Feel free to post builds for other characters before this challenge gets answered, but I think it will be interesting to see what we get for this.Click this DataLink to open the build!

It's a shame not having Resist Elements and Resist Energies on an Invulnerability. I feel like those two powers are much more worth it after the last buffs Invulnerability got.
I've updated the build I posted previously, with some more Resist and more Accuracy. Fire/Cold Resists above 30% and Energy/Negative Resists close to 30%. Slightly better Defense and Endurance Recovery.Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.93

I've changed some things around and replaced some powers as well. If you can use Ninja Run/Beast Run, I'd go with that to free up some power picks and power slots. Softcapped with 1 melee foe, with Smashing/Lethal just 0.6% under. I don't think you'll ever notice that missing half-percent so it might as well be softcapped as well.
Are you going to get the HP/Endurance Accolades? The +HP ones are especially important to Invulnerability Scrappers. With those and Dull Pain, you'll be at the HP cap! Since you're going with the Cardiac Core Paragon, your Endurance management is covered. For Incarnate Destiny I'd go Rebirth to cover your lack of regular-self healing. Stacked on top of your current Regeneration and with HP capped, you'll be getting somewhere around 44HP/sec at the most decayed point of the Rebirth Radial Epiphany and 233HP/sec at its strongest.
The strong Regeneration, hardcapped Smashing/Lethal Resist, and the softcapped Defenses combined will allow you to focus on kicking butt 100% of the time!Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.93

Is there any reason you can't get both and just stack their +Defense?

Quote:The Tier 1's for all of the Incarnate powers were made easily obtainable on purpose. That way, you can see which power you like the most (at it's base) and upgrade/improve from there. This, not interested in grind more than 1 choice for each alt.
I want an uncraft option for all incarnate habilities.
TL;DR
The Barrier for entry isn't very high.
(sorry, had to) -
Maybe I should get Caltrops on my Scrappers.

Quote:Welcome back! What outfit is this? I am just back after a long hiatus but I've never seen this and it looks awesome!
That outfit is mostly from the Magic Pack. -
I would love another expansion! Hell, I'd love it if they did one every year.

The Downgrade and and Sidegrade windows really shouldn't have the Choose Nothing option. This puts in an indirect way to delete components - if players really wanted to delete their Incarnate components, they have a more direct way to do so in the Incarnate Salvage tab.
A problem with Sidegrading is that you can select the same component to Sidegrade into. This leaves the opportunity for players to accidentally throw out Threads.
