The Victorian aura looks lovely on Valkyrior! I freakin' love all of the stuff in this pack, but I think the real winners for this pack are the auras!

Quote:Wait a minute. You're just being silly and joking, right? What happened to this post?I'm afraid that this is the first booster pack that I simply do not like. There's too much brown in it, and too much of it is not tintable.

Quote:Whoa, 1GB update? Did you just grab Issue 21?EDIT: Removed rage. EU test and US test are separate entities. I just started a US test download with my EU test folder specified as the install directory, and it's grabbing a massive 1GB update, so the content is NOT the same between them.
We'll see how things are when this is done. -

The costume pieces are pretty flexible in how you can use them. I'm very happy with what I got to play around with!
-
-
Yep, more Male and Female specific costume pieces again with the pack. I haven't even taken a look at the Male costume pieces yet.

I seem to remember another Supers themed game that was boasting a 1,000% increase in sales, only to recently read that the company is in the process of being sold off due to lack of... well, enough profit.
-
I was joking along with you.
With the point you bring up - if there's no problem with Tanks having Dark Armor (and hopefully sometime in the future Energy Aura) because they can select the Concealment pool, then there is no problem with Scrappers getting Ninjitsu. -

Next up and probably the last one for now is Elven Ranger, my Trick Arrow/Archery Defender!
Here's Elven Ranger in her leather ranger armor. Part of the Victorian aura even lines up with her long ears!
Here she is in her elven mithril armor. I even changed her belt to use one of the new ones from the Steampunk Pack! I really love that cloth-over-armor look it gives.
Here she is in a more everyday attire. This time I used the new skirt that comes with the Steampunk Pack. Love the layered look - comfortable in those cold nights in the forest!
With the weapon drawn.
Here's a view of the back without the High Collar Cape.

The Victorian aura is perfect for a Magic origin character I made recently. PERFECT, I tell you!

Here's some with Infinite Ammo wearing her armored suit and using some "Energy Shields."
-
I've been waiting for a more elegant dress look for Infinite Ammo and the Steampunk Pack is something that definitely delivers on that! Infinite Ammo is a wealthy weapons developer and manufacturer who has even been called a James Bond super-villainess by another player because how she dresses when not in her armored suit. The Steampunk Pack definitely pushes her forward in regards to that image. Hahah!

No Steambot Alpha for you! ONE YEAR!

The Steam Jump Pack is replacing my GvE Jump Pack. You can use Steam Jump far sooner than the GvE Pack!

Here's a few for now:
Sporting some of the new pieces on Succubus Kali. A new neck item and thigh highs! Finally!
There's a murder mystery here! A fresh blood trail, lets follow it!(You can safely ignore the blood that is dripping from Kali's right hand
)
Succubus Kali's Blood Magic is finally complete! Blood that drips from her hands. It's a shame that she can't use Bio Plasma and the Clunker Trail aura at the same time. Siphon Blood never looked so damn good!
Here's the same outfit with her Hellfire Armor.
-
The blood trail was exactly what I was thinking of when they showed off that Clunker aura. It would be perfect for Succubus Kali, who uses Blood Magic in place of Dark Melee.
Too bad I can't use Bio Plasma for body and Clunker just on arms at the same time. -
Awh, you beat me to making a thread on a new Booster Pack!
I had no idea it was even on the Test server and the flip wasn't switched. I must now make new characters! -
I'm hoping for some proper medieval fantasy stuff. High fantasy and low fantasy, doesn't matter to me. I wanted steampunk stuff and that's being put in. I've wanted more ninja/samurai stuff and those are in through Veteran Reward/Martial Arts pack. I'd still like some underwater/Atlantis stuff for our inevitable underwater zone.

Quote:Well hey, I'm waiting for Fiery Aura for Stalkers (no sarcasm, I am) but do you think they'd leave Burn in the Stalker set? What about Fiery Embrace? Blazing Aura is out, because that's a damage aura. I'd like the set on a Stalker, but I don't know how they'd change it.I doubt that's why. The only offensive skills pulled from Stalker defense sets are PBAoE toggle damage which is rather useless. That's a far cry from the notion that Stalkers get no damage abilities in secondary sets.
Where there's fire, there's smoke. Fiery Aura Stalkers!
Quote:Ah, so Cloak of Darkness provides anti-aggro? Better warn those aggro hungry Brutes using Energy Cloak/CoD they're doing it wrong.

Remember a long time ago when the developers asked players which new powersets we wanted made, and Shield Defense won out? Energy Shields was one of the choices and the way I had envisioned it was pretty much how the PPD energy shields react to being hit. I wonder if anyone has that list, I can't remember what the other powerset choices were.
Energy Shields was my first choice, but Shield Defense was my close second. I'm glad we got Shield Defense, such an amazingly fun set; but I do wonder how Energy Shields would've done. I know we have Energy Aura now, but the way that set is made is more in line with Kinetic Armor, even with an Endurance Drain power. -
Going from 1 through 50, it should be viable in single target damage at the least, since Storm Kick was made into a DPS monster - and you can get that power at level 1. I don't have a MA/SR, but I do have a MA/SD and the combination has been incredibly fun for me. As Bill has already said though, SR is a late blooming Secondary.
-
Quote:I don't care if Stalkers get Shield Defense. GIVE IT TO THEM IF YOU HAVE TO. But give Scrappers our proliferated Primary/Secondary sets too.Tsk tsk.
It's thematically inappropriate for a Scrapper to hide behind ninja tricks. Just like's it's apparently non-thematic for a Stalker to carry a shield.
It is most likely that Shield Charge would be taken out though. Stalkers don't have any Damage abilities in their Secondaries except for Dark Regeneration and Soul Transfer, both of which are tagged for (trivial) Negative Damage. Probably by design to have difficulty against Typed Defense.
