Two character slots saved for (of course) Dual Pistol and Demon Summoning.
Can we pretty please get more character slots to purchase? Yeesh. -
BodyInBasement?
This sounds like it could be an awesome whodunit forum mystery game!
"It was Positron, with an anti-matter blast. He took the cape from the body's cold dead hands." -
Sooner? My dear, you turned this around and fixed it the next day from the original post. Any faster and Sam might have not made the post at all.
Even though this affects me in no way at all, much ♥ to you guys and gals~ -

Quote:Get the Mac Pack! Deeew eeeet! Even with the two hour recharge, it is still handy to have on those TFs, story arcs, etc., that like to send you to the far reaches of a zone.So I've got a few bucks I want to drop for a new booster set, but have no clue which I want. I already have MA, Magic and Science, so basically we are talking one of the following:
1) Cyborg - Robot-y goodness and self-destruct.
2) Mac Pack - Valkyrie set + Mission teleporter.
3) Good vs Evil - Mission D teleport + Jump Pack + Costume sets
4) Wedding - Surprisingly useful costume sets.
I'm really torn here. Self-destruct looks like fun, but I don't know how much I'd use it. Mission teleport seems more useful, but it has a 2 hour cooldown. Mission D teleport might be useful - certainly until one gets Orobous (sp.). I can see fun ideas for all the costume sets.
Anyhow - for those of you with some or all of the above, any opinions? SPEND MY MONEY!
And c'mon, you get to be so bling with the Valkyrie stuff:

Take a look at this specimen, the "Announcement of an Announcement." -
Quote:It comes down to this for me. I don't roleplay at all so combat and costume are my enjoyment. I still gleefully remember another player saying to me, "That is the most awesome level 3 I've ever seen!" one day. Always loved how I can look like a level 50 from the very beginning. Its an MMORPG. Not an MMOG. The character costume editor is *the* quintessential component to the "RP" part of MMORPG. In CoX, the combat is a component of the role-playing game, it is not the totality of the game. Without the RP parts of the game, its multiplayer duck hunt. For many players, particularly the ones that do not hard-core role play, the costume editor is the beginning and the end of the role-play portion of the game, and the part that generates the most attachment to the characters being played.

Quote:Damn!Oh God, how can I say this without turning up as an unrecognizable charred corpse along some dusty highway ditch wearing a diaper full of Texas sized fire ants with my eyes replaced with screwdrivers?
Remember way back in the day when this thread got started and everyone was like “WOW those are great resistance costume pieces, I can’t wait to wear them, splat, splat, splat,” and “Oh super keen, first I changed my desktop to a lolz cat and now my crippling depression doesn’t seem so bad anymore, because I have a reason to live again, I get to wear glowing stuff.” Well, get out a mop and find something sharp. That picture is of a NPC, not a new costume set.
Me so sorry about that there wasn’t a clearer explanation of what was going on in the screenshot, I really am. But when you get down it and think about this rationally, this is really your fault, you jumped to a conclusion. You know I told you a thousand times not to do that, but I guess I need to teach you another lesson in the silence of the basement, next to the treadmill you don’t use anymore. Looks like you and I won’t be going over to your mothers for dinner like you planned. Canceled! The writing is on the wall baby, you are going to just have to tell the neighbors how clumsy you are, and just deal with it. Let the guilt of your wrong doings lead you on a path to righteousness. You’re welcome.
See how I turned that around, take a note kids.
To expand on that:
Ever since I got the PPD costume code, which randomly turns on its suit lights (similar behavior to building lights) at night, I have been longing for regular costume pieces that light up at night or just plain have lights/glowies on them. I really thought this would finally be coming true, but alas... "NPC only" as it were. What a downer after such and upper, eh? I hope the set can be redone so that players can wear the outfit as well.
Oh, also: -

Quote:This, many times over. Please don't do that ever again. Good grief. To whomever it may concern at NCSoft,
Please take notice as to how much excitement and happiness you cause within your player base by simply releasing a screenshot and a background story. There is no excuse for 2-3 month gaps with no updates at all. It takes so little to do so much. Please try to release some new news every couple weeks. No matter how small, any little tid bit of info like this goes a long way in curbing pestimistic feelings about this game and fustration in general.
Just one players opinion.
Also, good stuff! -

Quote:Actually, what caught my eye was the new Origin on Maelstrom's page:Just something I've noticed on Tyrant's new bio:
Secret Identity: Marcus Cole
Origin: Magic
Affiliations: The Praetorian Empire
Archetype: Tanker
Powersets: Invulnerability / Super Strength
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 225 lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Brown
Distinguishing Marks: None
Shouldn't his Origin be Incarnate rather than Magic, like Imperious, Statesman, and Reichsman? And also, Super Strength? So his Energy Melee attacks will be removed for Super Strength instead?
Origin: Mercenary Super-powered Soldier
Why would I ever pick Tech or Natural ever again when I can choose an Origin like that?! I bet the Origin power is even dual pistols! -

Quote:If you have super powers, gained or inherent , then it is your civic duty to be in the Powers Division.Yes, that 90% death rate for all recruits of the Powers Division doesn't sound too nice - and neither does that fact that anyone with superpowers is forced to join

Well it looks like I didn't have to wait til next week's Tuesday/Wednesday after all! This is what I and others have been waiting for, at last! A screenshot here, a bit of lore expanded there, a taste of things to come.

Quote:Perhaps he is not content with ruling Praetoria Earth. Perhaps he will "protect" Primal Earth from themselves as well, and then another Earth, and another, and then yet another. If you're going to live forever and you are emperor of one Earth, why not continue on with the others?his bio definitly gave some more information as to how he came to power. all we knew before this was that he ruled his realm with an iron fist, but based on this new info, it seems he was doing it for the good of mankind unless he has some secret agenda...
