That's the same reason I use to love Victory PvP, it was always 15 people max and we all knew each other so keeping the zone balance was easy. Fights rarely end up base camping since we will just switch to keep it going until the zone die. I venture to Freedom when I wanted a massive zone orgy fights, now it's pretty dead.

Same with Virtue, and Justice servers I use to love since the PvP size was pretty reasonable.
  4. I would say stick with Sonic, the -resist help increase defenders low damage output. Travel powers come down to preference, fly is pretty safe plus with 3 minus jump powers you can stay in the air where not too many people can reach you. SJ give better mobilty plus acro reduce mez duration/KB protection. If you have enough room get SS for a secondary travel power, since getting web nade can be a death sentence.

    Best defender?

It lower stalker stealth making them easier to spot. It's also work pretty good vs melee toons if you fight in/around tar patch they don't have much of a choice but to play in it.
  6. Dark/Rad Defender?

TA/Sonic is pretty solid for SC level. Even if slow is nuter to death Entangling and Glue arrow minus jump are still annoying, plus Acid Arrow and OSA (once you light it up) can perma unhide stalkers. Can't go wrong with Sonic hardest hitting secondary for defenders. Plus with toggle droping TA is one of the better debuffer set left.
  7. Guessing the Fight Club Police are effective.

  9. Well here's my story, a few days ago CoH frooze up on me and had to reboot my computer. When it load back up for some reason it was using a generic driver, and wouldn't play the game. After doing a few searches most point to updating my driver would fix the problem.

Which I did deleted the old one, reboot into safe mode, run driver sweeper, and download the new driver problem solve. But now everytime I play CoH, I hard crash and have to reboot my computer. The second time it crash it went back to using the generic driver again. I assume it was overheating so I gave it a break for the night. Tried it this morning after 3 minutes into the game pixels went all crazy and I crash again. Any help in the matter would be appreciated.

    Dom "Fix"

It doesn't take long for TA to do his job, it take about 5s maybe less to ground and debuff a target. Now if your team is on point a stalker should make quick work of them. (in a perfect world) As of now RV is mostly full with either 25 tanks and scrappers running around, or 50 blasters. Just like every other powerset situation will have an impact on how well they can perfom TA is no different.

    [ QUOTE ]

For example, since the changes to Dominator's, how many "successful" TA's have you seen in zones?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't know never saw alot of them in zone even before the dom change.

    [ QUOTE ]

Yup, and then you reailze that you're playing "villains" and that they rarely team, and when they "do" team it's rarely well (i.e. you get a team chocked full of purely "solo" oriented toons with zero buffers/debuffers).

    [/ QUOTE ]

    True lol.
  11. _Nanu_

    Dom "Fix"

    [ QUOTE ]
[Nope. TA Corrs are gonna be farmed far easier and far faster than most other Corruptor secondaries currently out there. They will be a joke, and only slightly annoying to any hero with half a brain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Don't really agree with this statement, TA corrupters could do wonders all depends on the team make up.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
Imo, doms are not what they used to be for small team arenas. I'd recommend another AT entirely. Doms do very well in 8v8s or even some 5v5s.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Disagree mind/** doms can do pretty well in small team arena, even suparsing most ATs once you factor in TK.

For the OP it boil down to what you plan on doing the most, for 2vs2 and 3vs3 I would go PFF for poison ray since chances are you will have a healer/buffer on your team. As for duels PFF can still work but hiber is the better choice.
  13. Defender TK still repel, not sure if that one is bug.
  14. _Nanu_

    Storm questions

I wouldn't skip O2 boost, beside increasing your team mates preception it's a nice counter for Heat Exhaustion. It's also nice to have for if you plan on doing alot of team arena duels, less greens your partner(s) have to carry. In zone it heal just enough to keep your team mate alive to escape, or counter back depends on the situation.

Snow Storm is pretty useless in arena setting, but shine a little in zone. Perma travel supress your target, plus most people don't tend to look back when been chase.
  15. Left that up so you guys can decide, since the main reason it was put in before was because DR off matches was retarted. So DR on was our only options, now that we have a "no heal decay" will 2 blasters plus emp be that devastating?
  16. I wouldn't mind hosting the event if we have enough people interested, we can follow the same format as the other leagues.

    Team Format: 3v3
    match Time: 10 minutes
    Diminishing Returns: On
    Travel Suppression: Off
    Heal Decay: Off
    Inspirations: Tier 1 only
Temp Powers: Only the ones purchasable from the Pocket D shop.

Will need help in deciding restrictions, resets, and other stuff. Start posting your ideas.
  17. While Nova have range and DPS, unless the person you're fighting is not paying attention our low on health you can easily outmaneuver them by breaking LoS or by taking cover. If I'm not mistaking the only preception Nova form get is from IO. That's only 100 feet, so if you have stealth and stealth IO just get a few yards and you're in the clear.

Human form are more like blaster/regen, they may not hit as hard but alot more easier to play. They can keep up with most of the action, and I never felt them lacking in the survival department. They do burn alot of endurance, if you decide to go SS,SJ,Tactic route. They can also can play a little support if you pick the heal. Even with DR light form is worth it.

Also depends on what zone you are going to play in. While SC is PB paradise, RV is more dangerous since alot of villians get access to web nade by that level. You also see alot more corrupters and doms, and debuffs start to play a bigger roll there to.

In the end it's a matter of preference, I'll say try them all and see what works for you. Each have it's own strength and weakness. I never saw a need for tri form PvP wise since human/nova or all human seem good enough. GL/HF
  18. Have to agree and disagree with some people in here, defenders do need some loving but not in the damage department since they are a debuff/buff AT.

They need to smooth out DR more so slows/debuffs/buffs could have more meaning, also for the love of god they need to work on a better inherent vigilance suck plain and simple . Pretty sure that one been asked for years now.

Beside that they are fine, wouldn't mine if they give the patron a buff either. defensive shield, web nade, and hiber.
  19. Nice idea but there's already tools in the game to help melee keep up with range toons, now if they choose to use them that's a diffrent story.

Scrappers and Brutes have access to taunt for -range and web nade for -jump.

Tankers get taunt and get 2 range attacks from their patron and atleast one is a mez. (excluding Energy mastery) If someone is still getting complety outclass by range toons the problem could be them.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
    You're fighting bad blasters lol

    [/ QUOTE ]

lol So a brute should never win when facing a blaster?

Maybe he was better prepare or played better then the blasters he face. Melee not so lol this days, giving them -range from taunt and web nade and they can compete againts most range toons.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
Since changing you colors will be -20% damage how many of the non-carebears will actually do this?

    [/ QUOTE ]

That 20% is a maximum value. Remember, it scales depending on how far you deviate from the correct color.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Ha! Dev confirmation!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    lol

    Epic.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Yersterday i had a convo with one player that does mostly zone pvp and some arena, in his opinion test pvp is just too troublesome and too much work. Also, he mentioned that old pvp'ers don't want to accept new pvp'er...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Some just want to play and don't feel like dealing with all the stuff that's involved with the test arena world, doesn't really make them arrogant. As for old PvPer not accepting the new one, I hear it all the time in arena chat someone will ask a valid question only to get "learn2play" "Noob" or some other silly answer. Not all the time but often enough to leave a bad impression.
  23. Get more HP and recorvery you will need it. Having web nade is nice, but running FA and hurricane will be too much for your endurance. I would give Levi mastery a try first and pick up tactic for preceptions.

    For my stormy

I sloted O2 with 3 Miracles instead for the recorvery bonus. Either slot Freeze Rain with 6 Lady Grey or 5 Undermined Defense. ( It's auto hit so no accuracy needed) Slot Lighting Storm with 6 Efficacy Adaptors for endurance drain.(You already hit pretty hard) Either slot Tornado with 4 Call to Arms or 5 Stupefy. All I can remember from the top of my head.

Get more KB protection 2 is usually enough to stop KoB ,since that will be what you ran into the most.
Will post my build if you still need help, but I went Storm/Sonic defender so will have to modify it a little.

Because the responses in this thread make it clear that the forums never got the memo.

    Shocking I know.

    Report all Farms

    [ QUOTE ]
    I'm there with you, Helios_Carnage.
    I'm already actively doing so.

I'm also taking time to report players broadcasting for :: <ul type="square">[*]more members for AE farm teams[*]players broadcasting that they are looking for AE farm teams.[/list]
I send along the time, server, and side that they sent the broadcast message along with a cut-and-paste of their message and their global handle.

Needless to say if you say anything about PL-ing you're getting reported as well.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lol, priceless think this is sig worthy.

    How far will people go.
