  1. Your sig is one of the most idiotic statments ever. People are not upset about the PvP changes cause they made PvP more "Challenging" it's cause it took away several aspects that Vet PvPers were into. Mainly the Pace, and Multiple Strategies being viable...now it's a damage spam until the other person is TS to death...literally.

    As far as your build, without perception you'll be hard pressed to see a lot of players, and any good build or anything with +ToHit or -Def and your PFF is gonna be useless...trying to aidself with a toggle on you? GL with that. You'll probably get wrecked more than you wreck with that build. PFF and Aidself shine with PB only imo.
  2. I beg to differ, he taught many people situational awareness, and showed the effectiveness/viability of fly/tp. While many may have utilized the combo I'd say from my experience, he was the best evader, bar none. Granted, it doesn't take much to evade defeat on a /regen scrapper he still had excellent awareness in regards to his position, and where the threat was coming from. Then he'd find the safest path to the base and usually arrive fairly unscathed.

    His presence is zone was known to cause people to come out the woodworks to form "Twixt" Hunting teams, and we used to form Dom/Therm teams to Mez/HE him then we'd have a stalker AS him....which if you think about it, would be flattering in the sense that we'd go through the "trouble" to put together the toons and employ such a strategy, just for him.

    He caused many people to realize the usefullness of ornages in regards to TP protection. So I'd say there are benefits to his presence whether or not they outweigh the consequences is debatable.

    Best way to get them...is to kill players that con orange. Kill each person once every five minutes for maximum effectiveness...rinse and repeat ad nauseam.

    Earth Debuffs Def, and Movement, while emp provides 0 debuffs.
  5. Closest I can think of...but haven't tested in a long time, was if your in the arena and your opponents are the same faction as you, Friend them (Not global, /friend) and you can target them through your friends list provided their within range/Perception.

    It's how buffers were able to find targets in anything larger than an 8v8...pretty sure it works for offense too.
  6. Movement slows are useless, if you go hiber you won't need aidself. Recharge slows are somewhat effective, but the only real effective rech slow is in HL, so without a lot of recharge it'll be hard to keep HL on him...

  8. The mass exodus of PvP'ers has ocurred already...without any kind of substiating links, I'd chalk this up to more doomsaying...nothing prophetic about saying people will not like change. I hardly doubt there will be a second exodus.

  11. A properly built blaster should out dmg a corr or dom any day of the week...to be able to survive one I'm not sure how you would be able to...unless you were a pain or therm...then maybe. Dom wise you'll have to go Mind or Grav then you can pick your flavor of seconday from Fire/Elec/NRG and have at it. A proc'd out Icey Assault isn't horrid but it's not top rated either.
  12. Since the revamp I find everything in Inv useful. YMMV. Take taunt Hurl KoB and earth mastery for fossilize and quicksand, or take fire mastery for melt armor and fire blasts, or you can the other...(Name escapes me atm) and get FA for some +Perc and debuff res.

    Inv/SS is pretty beast. Enjoy...oh and take taunt and use it liberally.
  13. You'll need to wreck the bruiser and arsonist before they wreck you, then it's open season on the MM. He's the soft cap defense will get DR'd to shat when you start PvPing unless you turn DR off.

    KB is viable but if he has -KB IO's your boned. You don't have enough KB mag in your attacks to really do anything to him.

    I have an Arch/Fire/Elec Blaster that is my MM Killer atm...fun toon.

    Sometimes heals is just what a team needs...granted most in AE are not that kind of team...but when I build a team I build for a good mix of control/debuff/dmg/buff/heals...I could have all of what I want...and be short my healer.

    So yea if my team needs a healer, I may go looking for one. Now every defender is not a heal...yea I get that...But sometimes all we need is the green numbers...anything else you do is just gravy.

    PB can Boost your def for 10s at a time, and while it may seem like nothing, the way I play every lil bit helps. Plus it's a power I can save on slots. Doesn't take 3 slots do make it do what I want.

    PB is useful for using with aim, it's boost the Def of all +Def powers. PB Aidself is nice. PB also boost mez effects like Stun from TF, or Stun from your primary if you have one. Some primaries have other mez's that can be PB'd. With mez being so short, every lil bit helps.

    If you want be 100% top build competetive those things you'll need. I'm not sure but i don't think PB boosts HF's Heal.

    IMO, Psy is tops followed by Arch, then sonic then fire.

    EM is the status quo due to PB, BR, PT, and TF. MM competes in that it gives you some help against stalkers with the AoE confuse aura, but if you're going to be straight optimal and 100% PvP go with a Psi/Em and kill everything in front of you.

    The reason I put arch above the others is cause of the range plus it has more up front dmg than sonic, DoT doesn't really = Burst dmg.
