Manitcore left Cryptic for a job at NCSoft Austin leading up to Issue 6. He's been gone a long time.

Constellation took over as head writer up to Issue 9, when Hero 1 took over.

Now that Cryptic is fully in the NCSoft family, they mentioned that Manticore can be called upon for consultation or maybe even a part-time gig for certain projects, although, except for his participation in last year's Valentine Event, I'm not aware if any of that came about.

So, more than likely, it was either Matt Miller (Positron), Sean Michael Fish (Manticore), or Brian Gilmore (Constellation) who wrote it.

The two of us. But I think I was the only one to get it. Part of the problem of this scavenger hunt is that the answer to many of the clues is not specific. So, even if one got that you were referring to a magazine that wasn't 'Cosmopolitan' there are about 500 other answers to that and many of those right-but-wrong answers would point to something in the club. So, many of the items were uncovered through infinite clicking and then putting them in an order via the clues was an afterthought, not real clues leading to the next item.

Except the box to which that clue leads one is neither black nor a 'black box' nor any type of recording device. The clue references a box, and a box is one of the clickies. The fact that the clue references a more specific type of box is irrelevant to the the hunt.

In your Windows browser, navigate to a file with the .mxd extension and right-click then chose properties &gt; General Tab &gt; Open With &gt; Click on "Change" Button &gt; choose Mids (if Mids isn't listed, click Browse button and navigate to Programs\Mids Hero Designer\Hero Designer.exe).

The new software in I13 Beta wasn't properly set up with all the bells and whistle that it could and should have, so, to the end user, it looked bad.

Apparently, as they migrated other NCSoft forums to the new one, there were some problems. And all this happened during NC West corporate shake-up, and guess who's responsible for maintaining the forum servers? Corporate.

I'm guessing they're waiting for a real web manager to be hired at NCWest who can handle the migration and and set up of the new forums.
