If you want to reinvent the wheel, that's up to you. But providing fan support for a game with a very well established, very well run official and fan-based sites and forums and 3rd party apps already in place is going to be very, very, very difficult.

The Devs/Mods confessed they made a mistake when they used that picture to advertise the new costumes.

Turn off Bloom, Desaturation, and Depth of Field. ATI doesn't work well with those for CoH. And for the same reason, keep off Anti-aliasing and water effects.

Vet rewards has become unstable. If something is wrong, start a Customer Support ticket. They'll probably have to resolve all issues by hand.

Go to your CoH directory and delete keybinds.txt. Then enter the game.

Then, make sure there's no other bind trying to use those keys. Bind the 'no operation' and then a blank bind to them like this...

/bind &lt;key&gt; nop
/bind &lt;key&gt; ""

Then bind them the way you want them. Then save them with /bindsave

Then log out. Do not zone. Do not exit directly to desktop. Let the countdown count down. This ensures there's a server save of your character. Then exit the game. Reboot your computer.

Go back into the game and see if your keybinds stuck.

Try deleting the checksum.coh file and run the updater again.

1. Copy pigg files from Live directory to Test directory.

2. Delete checksum.coh

3. Run updater.

Also, you hard drive is past the 2/3 full mark. Have you defragged lately?


Hard Drive cleaning ====

1. Go to control panel and then Add/Remove Programs and get rid of any programs you don't need any more.

2. Go into Windows Explorer (not the Internet Explorer) and right click on your C: drive and chose Properties. Under the General Tab, you'll see a button for Disk Cleanup, run it and get rid of deleted (recycle bin) and temp files.

3. Under the General Tab, make sure Indexing is not selected. Unless you need to do quick searches of your documents on a regular basis, you don't need this. It may take a while to propagate the un-indexing to all the sub-folders.

4. Go to the Tools Tab and click on the defrag button. Run the defragger. It may take an hour or two to defrag. Make sure the computer doesn't power down during it (you'll find power options where you change the screen saver -- right click on desktop...).

The answer is simple: Everyone needs to migrate to global channels that don't use spaces in their names!

Have you tried skipping putting the channel name in quotes and tried replacement for the space? Such as with an underline or %20?

Also, go to CoH directory and delete the coh.checksum file. It may be that one that's corrupted. The updater will download a new version and use that to check all the other files.

Nope. When the time comes to give you a level 5-10 Mutation Contact, you'll be assigned one of those three randomly. But they all give the same exact set of missions.

This was probably done in the early days of CoH so that there weren't big crowds gathered around the same contact. But that concern never really panned out as an issue to be avoided. So, when they added the zone-arc zones (Hollows, Striga, Croatoa) and CoV, they abandoned the generic contact model and made the contact intimately tied into the missions they gave.
