Does anyone read the bugs? Do they get sent to the devs? Do they get prioritised in any meaningful way? Zombie_Man extols the virtues of /bug but as a user I see nothing to back that up. BaB's post is the only evidence we ever see that anything actually happens to these bugs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I said is was the most documented. I didn't exactly extol its virtues.

But seriously, there are bugs listed on the official known issues list which can be fixed in the next patch or a year later. It's all a matter of prioritization (game-breaker v. annoyance) and then, when the decision is made to allocate resources (i.e., the time of a programmer) to fix it, whether it can actually be found quickly or not. And then, when found, whether it can be fixed easily or not. And if it can be found easily or fixed easily, new resources need to be allocated to debug further.

I've /bugged things that I never posted to the forums or saw posted on the forums and then saw it get fixed rather immediately (especially in Beta). I've bugged some things off and on for years before something was done (e.g., the lack of enhancement stores in Kings Row). /Bugging things work (even to use it to suggest things, there *is* a 'suggestion' button in the /petition box). It doesn't work as quickly or as often as we'd like.
  2. Don't stop /bugging!!!

There are departments and developers who do *not* read the boards and they learn about bugs that they need to know about through the /bugging process.

It may not be the quickest route, but technically, it's the most documented route.

These have been known not to work well with ATI cards, turn them off.

Also, have you tried Windowed Mode?

Consider yourself lucky that you can run the game at all. Such an integrated GPU is below minimum specs for the game. A real Graphics Card* upgrade will do *wonders* for your gaming experience.

In the meantime, go to your manufacturer's website and see if there are updated drivers for your motherboard chipset, GPU, CPU, BIOS.

Use Tweak CoH. Under the Display Tab go to Display Mode and uncheck Fullscreen and check Maximized, then Apply.

    *Graphics Cards:

Graphic Processor Unit manufacturers (nVidia and ATI) create a range of GPU chips that range from simply showing pictures and basic video, to rendering the high-end 3D graphics polygons, textures, and special Graphical FX. For nVidia, the second number of the series number will tell you how powerful the GPU is in rendering high-end graphics from 0 to 9. So, you may have numbers like: 5000, 7200, 6500, 8800, 290. The graphical savvy of those GPUs are, respectively: 0, 2, 5, 8, 9. To do 3D gaming right, it should be 6 or higher. The first number indicates the generation. The current nVidia generation is 9000 or 200. Last year it was 8000, and before that 7000 and so on. For CoH, you shouldn't go back past 6000.

Lastly, the suffixes go (roughly) GTX > GTS> Ultra > GT >GS > (nothing) > LE

Before you get a graphics card, you'll need to make sure your power supply has enough juice to power it.
  5. It's been bugged much longer than that.

At least it's in the live Known Issues list: http://www.cityofheroes.com/news/kno...wn_issues.html

That means that it's on their to-do list. But actually prioritizing it, finding out what's causing it, finding a solution may take a while.
  6. Umm... sorry, BAB, not sure what you're talking about. You mean the text boxes?

    Serious Answer:

All powers in PvP were adjusted so that damage was proportional to activation time. All powers.

All this stuff about attacks from Power Pools being inherently weaker since it's from a Power Pool and not a primary attack set was abandoned. All powers are on the same damage per activation formula.

sooo....Blaze and Bitter Ice Blast do Brawl damage now?

    [/ QUOTE ]

As far as I know, theoretically, yes. If it doesn't, it should be bugged.
  9. Funny how people are debating the evilness of robots when we have undead MM pets to worry about. Or the upcoming Demon Summoning set.

"Yes, I let them eat human brains... but only for good."

But then again, I'm the poster boy for good zombies.

The only person my dom had trouble with in that whole arc was Tendaji. I couldn't take that ^%#@$* down no matter what I did. I finally had to get help against him. Everyone else was easy IMO.

You might have had the bugged version that said 'EB' but was really AV class. He's been known to do that.

In honor of this momentous occasion, I'd like to thank the following people who helped me get to this milestone:

    No.

CoV doesn't have hazard zones because it has hazard neighborhoods.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    QFE.

It's mixed neighborhoods. Same model as the Hollows, Striga, Faultline, Croatoa, RWZ, and Cimerora. Notice that after Issue 1, heroside never got any more hazard zones. The idea of a pure hazard zone died four years ago, in fact, by revamping Faultline and the Rikti Crash Site, they *took away* hazard zones from CoH.

Such an integrated graphics chipset is below minimum requirements for the game. Some are able to run CoH with integrated graphics, but only on a very very clean machine (no other programs running in the background) and on the lowest graphics settings.

You can try going to your manufacturer's website and seeing if there are any updated drivers for the chipset, motherboard, or CPU/BIOS.

To determine how clean your machine is, please post the results of HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format &gt; Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.

The good news is that with a Graphics Card upgrade, you'll get excellent results from your machine.
  17. Try new graphics drivers anyway.

Also try going to the manufacturer's website to see if there are updates for the motherboard chipset/CPU.

Check out this thread, Common Solutions &amp; Posting Guidelines

Then post the results of these two programs:

<ul type="square">[*]CoH Helper - it will show us basic computer settings and your CoH configuration.
