How exactly is Mind Control not synergestic with Empathy?
[/ QUOTE ]
How does being able to affect the thoughts and actions of others translate to the ability to close and heal wounds and restore the recently dead to life?
[/ QUOTE ]
Mind Control is a Psychic-based control set. Empathy is a Psychic-based buff/healing set. Thematically, they work for all intents and purposes. I don't see why you feel the need to include something that will, functionally, end up replicating similar, if not the exact same effects, to Empathy when it already exists. Infact, they've done that already - it's called 'Pain Domination'.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's nothing "psychic" about Empathy or Pain Domination, you're actually physically healing your targets, not just making them think they're better.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pain Domination is entirely based on mental control. You don't actually 'heal' anyone, you just make them ignore any pain they might be feeling.
Kind of like how someone hopped up on PcP can demonstrate feats of 'invulnerability'.
Which is why it's a villainous powerset.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which means a Defender can use it if they Go Rogue, right?

Shut off laptop, router, and modem.
Turn modem back on. Let it go through it's cycle up and wait an extra minute.
Turn router back on. Let it go through it's cycle up and wait an extra minute.
Turn laptop back on and hope it works.
If it doesn't, see if the laptop will connect to the Internet if plugged in directly to the router with an ethernet cable. -

EDIT: Just checked the wiki - it calls the enhancement unique (only 1 may be slotted per build) but not a global.
[/ QUOTE ]
That just got removed from this page between the time my post went up and your edit did. They used to have the globe next to them and the Shield Wall/Gladiator's Armor uniques still do.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nothing was changed on that page until I just edited it *after* your post. As I mentioned above, the Global designation should be correct since I changed the definition of Global to take into account the PvP exception. I removed the Proc designation from those two PvP Special IOs.
Please show where Numina's was listed as a global. I really want to know so that it can be corrected. -

For Set Bonuses and Special IOs that work like Set Bonuses (called 'Globals'), you lose the Set Bonus if you exemplar *more than* 3 levels under the level of the IOs. Whether the power is activated or even available doesn't matter.
For Special IOs called 'Procs', the level of the Special IO doesn't matter -- you can be 30 levels under the level of the Proc and it will still work provided you still have access to the power and it is activated.
It's all there in that link.
[/ QUOTE ]
On Paragonwiki the Uniques from Gladiator's Armor and Shield Wall are listed as Globals and that their Resistance-to-all or Def-to-all bonus will disappear if you exemplar below -3 to their stamped-level.
All of the "PVP" IOs act like Purples and give whatever bonus they provide from 1-50. You gain the bonus from these IOs independant of either their stamped-level or access to the power they are slotted in. I can confirm this from having lv50 examples of both IOs.
[/ QUOTE ]
The PvP Sets were added after my run-through of the pages. So, someone added them with the wrong info, which is understandable, since they're a new category of Special IOs, namely, they're 'always on' like Globals, but you can't underexemplar them, like Procs.
I changed the wording in the Global flag template to address the PvP exception to the rule and took out their Proc-ness.
[ QUOTE ]
Furthermore, I have a lv40 Numina's Convalescence Regen/Rec Unique slotted on my Brute in Health at lv18. This IO is again listed as a Global; ceasing to operate at -3 to the level stamped on the enh. I just went into Ouroboros and auto-exemplared myself down to 14 (1st mission tier). After waiting two minutes, the bonus from Numina's vanished from Combat Attributes.
I then autoexemplared myself to lv19 (2nd mission tier) and waited 120 seconds again. The Numina's bonus remained.
The Numina's Convalescence Unique operates independently of the level stamped upon the enh, but the power it is slotted in must be available.
[/ QUOTE ]
On this page: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Table_of_Special_IOs , it's listed as a Proc120, i.e., not a global and concurs with your testing.
On this page: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Numina%2...ation/Recovery , it was not listed as a Global, which would be wrong, but neither was it listed as a Proc120. The Wiki gurus haven't made a Proc120 template, but, I'll get after them about it. Meanwhile, I added 'Proc' to that page.
Do you have a link where it specifically says this Proc120 is incorrectly listed as a Global?
(BTW, with regard to the terms 'Global' and 'Proc', that's the best we got so far in absence of clearly defined Dev terminology, see my discussion of the unfortunate terms here: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Inventio...ts#Terminology ) -
Yes, you can trade Influence between toons of two different accounts. Get next to a character and right click on them, and chose Trade. There is a field to input the amount of Influence you want to trade. Other items to be traded (salvage, enhancements, recipes) are drag and drop into the main window panes.
You can not transfer Influence between two toons of your own account because you can't get them online at the same time. There is no emailing or sending of Influence in the game. Two ways around this are:
1. Buy an expensive item and store it in your base. On your other toon, pick up the item and sell it.
2. Use the Market to transfer influence by having one character buy a cheap item placed on the Market by your other character for a lot of influence. It's a bit tricky to do and if you screw it up and someone else sells you the same item you put up yourself, then you've transferred all your influence to them instead of you. And if you do that, there is no recourse; Customer Service will not get you your influence back. However, there are ways to do it so that it's almost foolproof. See here...
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Influence_Transfer
As far as transferring Influence from redside to blue... can't be done. There are no crossfactional trading at all. You can't even pass an Awaken inspiration to an opposite faction teammate on a co-op mission. However, there is a workaround if you can find someone willing to take Infamy from you redside, and on another one of their toons, give you Influence blueside. -
Would be nice for the Candy Kreeper to be available all year at the door of the chalet in the Pocket D for purchases throughout the year.
Throughout the year we can use Halloween Salvage to open up a new costume slot (and judging by the constant Zombie Apocalypses on Virtue, they've been doing that *a lot* in response to the Super Science Booster cosmetic surgeons); so, it would be nice for there to be a way to spend Candy Canes throughout the year. -

I don't mind having to log back in, but I do wish we could skip the countdown, or at least let us use alt-tab without interrupting the countdown. That way you could do something else while it exits.
I play with mids and the wiki open in the background and often would like to check those while the countdown runs, but can't without interrupting it.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you play in Windowed Mode, you can minimize the window while it's counting down without interrupting the count-out. -
I get the same thing.
Oh, BAB! Broken animation here!
And I just /bugged it on Test. -
Delete the checksum file in the test directory then a complete reboot to see if that fixes it.

What exactly does this mean. On Test, if I use Hyperphase, my pets don't phase also. -

While Dark Servant does not take damage, it is not permanent until killed. Which means it actually does need to be up faster than it recharges normally at times.
I really wonder if the developers just hate Dark Miasma on general principle.
[/ QUOTE ]
You didn't think it was an oversight that a pet whose attacks are flagged to be unenhanceable for damage was taking a set that would nearly ED cap damage boost to no effect?
[/ QUOTE ]
City of Data does not list the damage of DS's Chill of the Night or Tenebrous Tentacles as unenhanceable. They definitely were enhanceable at one time for I used to put Damage enhancers in the DS.
[/ QUOTE ]
And I stand slightly corrected by testing: I tracked a DS's damage with and without a HO: Damage/Mez. The Damage HO had no effect on the amount of damage done by Chill of the Night. But it did affect Tenebrous Tentacles. -

[u]EMOTES[u]
The functionality of the semicolon is restored, excellent.
Having a comprehensive list of emotes in the popup menu is also excellent. I'm sure there are a lot of emotes that most players aren't aware of and they'll be tickled pink to play with them as if they were brand new.
However, the emote popup can only be navigated by way of the mouse. While the apostrophe key pops it up still, none of the emotes or submenus are hotkeyed anymore. Nor can you use the arrow keys and Enter to chose the emote you want... it's mouse only. -
[u]DARK SERVANT[u]
So, DS can't take either pet-based IO Set. It can't take Pet Damage because it's not a damage-based pet. And it can't take Recharge Intensive Pet Sets because... it's not a damage-based pet! I didn't realize that Recharge = Damage.
So, what pet-based IO Set should it take? Is a Buff-Intensive Pet Set in the works?
[ QUOTE ]
The dark pet doesn't do damage. The recharge-intensive pet sets were for pets that do damage (hence why they have damage components). Why would you want to slot it for something it doesn't do?
[/ QUOTE ]
If DS's Chill of the Night and Tenebrous Tentacles hit just 5 foes in the thick of battle, then over the course of 8 seconds, the DS will do 207 points of damage. It would be nice to make that 400 points with slotting.
I remember when I used to slot the DS with Damage! Tenebrous Tentacles, which the DS has, is listed as Moderate Damage, not Minor. -

<ul type="square">[*]4 new Praetorian zones and a FFA zone (like Warburg) [*]10 new factions (Paetorianized versions of current factions with some having changes so major, it won't be a simple reskinning) [*]10 Preatorian-only arcs [*]4 side switching arcs [*]4 Task Forces[*]a Raid.[/list]
But what do I know? -
Leased.
But I'm sure the provisions are such that the contract allows NCSoft to renew the lease in perpetuity. -
Excellent work, Vanden.
Just one tiny request, though. If you concur, could you make the Self Destruction button look a little more different than the Nuclear Blast (Warburg Missile)? I'm sure you'll see the problem if one mistakes one for the other.
May I suggest that the Self Destruction button have a red icon on a yellow background to distinguish it from the red on white Blast button?
Thanks. -

What the.. I swear that wasn't there the last time I read that, but it has been probably 4 months. Hmm, yes the page has definitely changed since I saw it last.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're welcome.
Yeah, just a few months ago I went through all the IO pages on the Wiki and codified How They Work since there were competing theories as well as actual changes over time and some pages were updated while others weren't. I tested everything in the game to make sure it matched what was on the Wiki, so, all the exemplaring rules of when Bonuses work and don't work are correct on the Wiki unless there's a bug or a stealth change from the Devs.
And if that doesn't work, go to the website of your motherboard's manufacturer and see there are new drivers for the motherboard chipset/CPU/BIOS.

You might want to check this because for every TF/SF you get the merits either as soon as the final mission completes or as soon as you exit the final mission once the TF/SF completes. Its even like this on the Ouroboros stuff. This could be a totally new bug all together where it just isnt giving you merits period, because I dont think talking to the contact again is even going to make a difference.
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh, you just missed Mateo's explanation.
The last mission is: Talk to Lord Recluse. That's what ends the SF, not beating Reichsman.
After talking to LR, *then* you get the Merits. Then the leader can call Barracuda and disband the SF.
I like to die a lot in this SF (at level 50, I don't care about debt). It's a fast way to the "Talk to LR" missions and to the Portal mission by way of Granville hospital. I think leaders should make a habit of using Self Destruction after defeating Reichsman as a reminder to folks that the SF isn't over yet, and as fast way to get to LR before someone quits the SF. But that's just me. I explode. That happens to me sometimes.
