Turning off indexing is one of the first things I do on any Wndows OS. It's a resource hog that's constantly running... constantly... it never finishes indexing... it will continue to ping your hard drive... rzzrzr... rzrzrzr.... rzrzzrz... What is doing that?.. <searches running programs...> rzrzr... Nothing is running... rzrzr... MAKE IT STOP!!!!

Can my lists be tweaked, sure. Some valid objections are raised. What I threw together wasn't meant to be a painstaking final draft.
Some ripostes, though:
Tar Patch as a secondary would obviously be nerfed: perhaps the AoE made smaller, longer recharge, etc... Does every Support set have to start with a ST Immob? We all know that we all wind up respecking out of it the first chance we get. Wouldn't it be nice to have something one would keep?
Two extracted pets being somehow unlikely: The Illusion Phantom and Phantom Army are also two similar pets in the same set. One of the fundamental 'flavors' of Dark is using one's foes in a vampiric and leeching manner to power one's own abilities. Dark should be inundated with those types of powers.
My Dark Control is too buffy and not controllery enough: Dark, in whatever powerset it has appeared, has almost always had a -ToHit component, which is inherently 'buffy.' What is unlikely is that all the -ToHits would be removed for Dark Control. Also, I gave the set three pet power (rivaling Illusion or Storm), which seems pretty controllery to me. Considering how a Dark Control is going to be often paired with Dark Buff, which already is pretty controllery, the challenge is to find controllery powers which don't duplicate what Dark Buff already has.
Lack of Hold in Dark Control: OK, you got me there. There is no dark group hold in the game and I was trying to use just pre-existing powers. I guess we'll need a Petrifying Gaze Cone or a Ghost Widow Group Tentacle Hold.
For those who've put up their own list of what Dark Support, Assault, and Control should look like, may I remind you that that's not proliferation. You're asking for new powers with new animations and effects. Can the Devs provide that? Yes. Will they? Unlikely. It's much more likely they'll create new Dark Powersets if they're (mostly) proliferated powers and not newly created ones.
Also, while I realize there's a valid concern that a Control Set should feel like a Control Set and an Support like Support and Assault like Assault; I'm not too keen on the slavish copying of what the other powersets do. "First slot has to be a single target immob; second slot a fast moderate damage melee attack; etc...." If that is what you want from a Dark Set, then don't bother asking for any new or proliferated sets. Just wait for Issue 16 and color the existing sets black, and there, you have your Dark Sets. Dark has been unique in its 'feel' as a Buff Set. IOW, it doesn't feel exactly like a Buff Set. I'm not so set on Dark 'feeling' exactly like every other Control, Support, or Assault Set, either. -

With all due respect Zombie (lots and lots), those sets won't work as the appropriate sets. They just won't.
[/ QUOTE ]
Obviously I disagree with you about them working.
But I'm curious to know why they 'just won't' work.
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe the fact you were giving a Blaster tar patch at level 1?
[/ QUOTE ]
A Blaster gets Web Grenade at level 1.
The Dark Immob is Tentacles which a Dark/Dark Blaster would get anyway. -
So, you're asking if you can keep doing that exploit you've been doing? The one that takes advantage of the two models being mechanically switched, sometimes leading to there being two Romuluses?
On the official game forums? -

This is the same issue as SG bases and losing them when you cross over: The answer is to have a VG base ready to accept your hero and a SG base ready to accept your villain and switch both.
So.. have a level 50 hero and a level 50 villain ready for both to switch. Or, have several 50s on each side.
Otherwise, you're out of luck. If you only have one level 50, and thus only one side unlocked for EATs, and it switches sides, then you still have only one level 50 and only one side is unlocked for EATs.
[/ QUOTE ]Pure speculation on your part.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, that's exactly how it works now, if the only thing that were to change were switching sides. The rest of the game would react exactly as I described and my suggestions for reacting to it would work, even though some may not like the work involved or would not like it to work that way.
The question unanswered is: When side switching comes, will the Devs *change things* so that if my only level 50 toon, who happens to currently be a hero, switches sides, I can still make Kheldians? Because currently, that will not be the case.
The Devs can change how EATs get unlocked so that just one level 50 unlocks EATs on both sides, my speculation is that it's unlikely. But it's a fact that if they don't change the code to allow it, it won't happen that way. -

Attempting to show it off in the middle of combat... probably not the best idea.

The player in question was frightened by the flashing lights and bright noises and was looking for a place to hide. -

The infamous questionnaire, which has been remarkable accurate in foreshadowing a lot of the changes that have been confirmed, mentioned new ATs.
So, it's not baseless speculation, but it is still totally unconfirmed speculation. -
My MM afk-farmed it.
Two carnie girls and Twilight Grasp set on auto. Took several nights since a bad luck run in the heal attack meant I died. -
Other than this: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/List_of_Slash_Commands ?
Or this: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Emotes ?
Who knows when slash commands and their parameters get changed. They almost never make it to the patch notes. It takes someone to check the self reporting list the game gives and compare it with an older list to know for sure. -
Well, it *is* public information. Findable on the Net.
But in case they don't want it widely distributed, I sent you a PM PP. -

So in the end, it's not designing one powerset. It's designing 3 different powersets:
Dark Control/Dark Miasma for Controllers
Dark Control/Dark Assault for Dominators
Dark Blast/Dark Manipulation for Blasters

On a 5SF (Barracuda Strike Force) the other night, two Purples dropped on the team.
The last mission alone has over a thousand level 50 5th column and most of them are nice enough to come to you. Now *there's* your farm. Plus 30 Merits for everyone. -

Malwarebytes was able to get rid of what Spybot, Adaware, and AVG couldn't on my machine. -
Looks like a perfectly normal number of ambushers...
who lost track of you and all went to the same location.
Ambushes were broken before the last patch in that they didn't show up at all. Now, they got the wrong address.
Blame dispatch.

Just FYI. The OP posted a CoH report in the Tech forum showing a very old GPU driver. It's been updated and the problem resolved.

Yikes, that's old.
Update your Graphics Driver. And report back how that helped or not.

You can see if it's working in the Combat Attributes window (on the power tray, click on Powers; at the top of the Powers window, click on Combat Attributes).
You can then open up a Monitor Attribute window by right clicking on Recovery. That will create a tiny window that displays your current Recovery Rate. When Numina is active, you'll see your Recovery Rate jump. -
I ask leaders of the Imperious TF if, at the last mission, they clear a path to Romulus or jump immediately to him.
If they're jumpers, I don't join. That 'shortcut' is like driving through a water-covered roadway... if you make it through, then it was a shortcut. If you stall, then you're there for a very long time. I rather spend the extra five minutes (you have to kill 250 Cim Traitors anyway) creating a safe environment for the final battle than fiddling on the roof.
