If, for example, you had CoH, when you now log in, you'll see you can create villains, and vice versa.

If for some reason you had two separate accounts, one CoH and one CoV, then you still have two separate accounts and each one has access to both 'Cities.'

Are you sure you weren't in the Training-up Add-enhancement-slots screen. That doesn't show enhancement pop-ups or IO Set slotting, but it does have the detailed power buttons.

That shouldn't be a problem. Just remember to start off the thread *apologizing* you don't speak German and if anyone who can speak English *please* respond. Otherwise, it'll be UAS.*

If you interjected English posts in lots of German language threads, now *that* might be considered bad form.

Besides, I remember from the I14 Beta that almost all the German MA arcs were in English. Es ist komisch, nicht wahr?

    They're working on it.

In the meantime, here's a temporary workaround.

Check out this post here. If you got Firefox, or a browser with a capability to alter style sheets, you can fix it yourself.

I'm getting mapserved on a nightly basis. Lag is constant. Rubberbanding is expected now. When I don't get lag it's like I'm playing a whole new game.

And it's not just me. HUNDREDS of people, all over the world that love this game have the same ISSUES.

I'm not some whiny fanboi. I am a PAYING CUSTOMER. Fix your product, or I will take my money, and potentially your JOBS, somewhere else.

To all players tired of lag: Post your server and issues here.

Virtue - all of the problems above. AND ON DOUBLE XP WEEKEND. I SAY RE-DO DOUBLE XP WEEKEND.
Unfortunately this is typical for Double XP w.e. and in the past, where it was worse, there was no do-over; so, don't expect a do-over for this case.

Even on non-2xWEs, the servers can start to become unstable on Sunday evening. They just get increasing unstable with hard use. That's why there's a server maintenance and reset every Mon and Fri. Again, it used to be worse and they had to have maintenance every day. Also, it used to be that one would expect a busy server like Virtue to crash every Sunday night.

I know that saying "it's not as bad now as it used to be," doesn't resolve anything... it's just the way things are. It would be like having a two hour wait to be seated at a very busy restaurant at a peak time at a peak season.

The style file does the following:

    1. Remove underlining from title and date links in thread lists, and author links next to posts. Underlining is a form of emphasis, when you emphasize everything, nothing is emphasized. Excessive underlining hurts legibility because it obscures descenders.

    2. Thread titles and dates have been recolored in a light yellow. This color choice attempts a compromise between good contrast and reduction of halation (halation is the effect of white letters "glowing" against a dark background, which is often assumed to reduce legibility). The author names (except rednames) and titles of individual posts are similarly colored for visual uniformity.

    3. Author names in thread lists are colored a dark gold. I chose a muted color to make it easier for the reader who is scanning the thread list for a specific thread title to skip over superfluous information.

    4. Gradient backgrounds were largely replaced with uniformly colored background. Gradients may be pretty, but they don't provide the eye with a visually stable backdrop. The background color was chosen to both be an approximation of the gradient colors and to contrast well with the font colors.

    5. The default font is Arial, which was designed for printed matter. The style file substitutes Verdana, which was specifically designed for high on-screen legibility. (Note to the designers: The fallback option in the default font-family CSS entry has a superfluous space, "sans- serif" instead of "sans-serif").

    6. An extra separator has been inserted between the forum title and forum description so that they aren't smushed together.

Note: I do not intend to maintain this style file. It is primarily intended as feedback for the forum designers (and my own use), and while others are welcome to use it, too, it is very unlikely that I will publish updates if changes to the forum break it.
    I love you!

Thanks to your work, I just taught myself some CSS and Stylish so as to create a Villain Skin version. Some notes:

    1. I lifted the colors from the old UBB forums exactly because I know people have been asking for a 'classic' skin. However, my own personal tastes tend toward something more muted, so, if you look at the bottom of my Stylish style sheet, you'll see optional color codes to use for the backgrounds.
    2. I got rid of the pesky grey box for avatars. Gifs with alpha channel transparencies work correctly now.
    3. I got rid of the background graphic (States and sig NPCs).
    4. Increased default text size from 10 to 11.
    5. I tried to make the new colors stick into the wysiwyg editor, but they often don't stick.
    6. The bottom left panel under the avatars (where the rep and report icons are) are not in the style sheet. They are 'hard coded' into the html of each page and repeated over and over again (so much for style sheets! ). At least, as far as I know they can't be changed with Sylish.
    7. Changed link colors: unvisited=bright red, visited=washed out red.

And you don't have to hit a Quote button (although, it's a good way to keep the thread properly threaded). You can also flag all the posts you want quoted then hit the New Reply button at the bottom of the thread and all the flagged posts will show up quoted in your reply box.

Also note that when you Quote a post that has a quote in it, the nested quote isn't included in the reply box. That is done purposely to discourage the pyramid quotes. If you want to know the history of a thread you can use Threaded View (from the Display Mode drop down menu at the top of a thread), or, trace back the quotes through the View Post link inside of a Quote.

First, you should be up there, because, unlike some more prominent personalities, it's a lot less likely that you'd get negative rep.

Secondly, it's still brand new, only about 300 people have any rep so far. With 9 points of rep, I'm in the middle of that grouping.

Thirdly, as an aside, it's interesting that about a dozen folks already have total negative rep.

Fourthly, my money is on the rep system going bye-bye completely.

Seriously, it IS borked. You should totally be above me.

    And UniqueDragon should be #1.

Are you sure about that? All the previous links to threads referred to those threads by their forum ID#. In this new board, all the threads are renumbered, making all the old links obsolete.

Do you know if they're going to provide an automated number conversion from old to new? That' seems very unlikely.
  16. You can get rid of the background pic of States and LR if you have an add-on with your browser to block images.

I use AdBlock with Firefox and that background pic was the first to go. Now I'm blocking 98% of sig pics.

    Dev Digest?

At the bottom of each thread is a New Reply button, so, you don't have to click on anyone's specific post.

Here's a temporary workaround for the Dev Digest.

If you click on Thread Tools at the top of a thread, there's a choice for printable version which should be easier to read. Unfortunately, there's no links to respond directly in that view.
