There's also new stuff because if there wasn't people would 'use up' all the content and leave -- especially for a subscription MMO.
Expand or die.
Now, what the competition is doing (and not just CO, but WoW et al.) may influence the direction of the expansion. -

Quote:There is a workaround if you don't mind one or two extra keystrokes.I just wanted to say that this is perhaps one of the more annoying bugs to strike. I really, really miss the ability to color my bind keys to different things.. I don't use F7 for Ready, I moved them over to F9-F12 so I'm screwed for getting the color right.
Before I could do that, play with my emotes. It was great. Now, everything is plain old white and black.
I really hope this gets fixed sometime soon. -
It was going to be announcing a costume contest under the statue of Atlas in Atlas Park.

I've looked at the new bars with vischeck.com and the patrol xp was indeed changed and can be distinguished from regular xp for those with deuteranopic, protanopic, or tritanopic colorblindness.
Of course, be distinguishable and be easy to read are not necessarily the same thing. -
You might also want to check with the Wiki:
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Gaining_..._Crafter_Badge
Also, Positron Twittered that he approved changes for a bunch of hard to get badges for Issue 16. So, there's a possibility that some of these badges might get changed. You might want to wait to see what those changes are when Open Beta hits before going for hard-to-get badges right now. -
Did you know that the next issue is changing how the Difficulty settings work?

Quote:That's because the default forum skin has the name in the post, which is a hyperlink, underlined by default. So, with the default skin, names with and without underscores look exactly the same.
Nivienne on Twitter: I'm surprised with how many players are wanting to keep the "_" in their names. Would have thought you guys would really want to lose it. -
Quote:fixt.Short Answer: Everyone on a team will be sidekicked up to -1 or exemplared down to the level of the owner of the team task, or the team leader depending.
The owner of the mission might have outleveled their mission. So, if the owner is level 22 and the mission is level 20, everyone SSKs to 22, not 20. -
Quote:I haven't gotten that far in updating all the old links to the new board links, which all have to be done by hand after searching for the link.In the forums? Try this list from the Guide to Guides:

Try these:

Quote:So, you tried it with the editing boxes of this vBulletin? I ask because there are FireFox plug-ins which do the same... but they do not work for this vBulletin's editing box, it's mojo is too strong for a mere plug-in to overcome.By "this thing" I assume you mean the edit box you enter text into.
There may be, but if you use Google's Chrome browser you can change the size of any multi-line text edit box on any web page. I use it all the time now because it's just SO convenient to change the edit box size. -

Quote:Were you counting non-human males and females?
Edit: I just visited what I'd consider the "worst case scenario", Pocket D on Virtue. The split was completely even there: Male 37 / Female 36 / Huge 1. However, since dialog (in Local!) included things like, Red Komodo turns his attention to Petite, "Come now, Petite... you know I am so much sexier... -- I'm not counting people on THAT zone as playing the same game as everyone else. -

The game *tries* not to spawn foes in your sight, but if it's time to spawn and the deadline is due and there's nowhere else to spawn but in your sight or on top of you.... it will.
This is more common in Peregrine where some groups have a specific neighborhood they haunt and a limited number of spawn points (it's a narrow island).
Sometimes if the server is a bit laggy, SuperSpeeders will see spawns spawning right on top of them all the time since they catch up to a spawn point before the spawn is spawned. -
Were you providing your pet teammate with any defensive buff or debuffing the ACC of your foes?

Quote:Excuse me, I'm about to go off on a rant. You have a valid suggestion, but I have a bad history with this, and so... rant on:Before you got too far, I wanted to point something out to you: you're direct-linking threads instead of using the forums' special codes for linking.
Example:
III. [url="http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?p=578371#post578371"]ARCHETYPES, POWERSETS, POWERS, AND BUILDS[/url]
III. ARCHETYPES, POWERSETS, POWERS, AND BUILDS
This link suffers from the same baditude the last forum software suffered from: You are forcibly directing someone to boards.cityofheroes.com... The boards can be accessed from all the previous URLs, not JUST this one. These forums come with their own special codes ([thread=] and [post=]) to use instead:
III. [post=578371]ARCHETYPES, POWERSETS, POWERS, AND BUILDS[/post]
III. ARCHETYPES, POWERSETS, POWERS, AND BUILDS
It's also shorter.
grrrrr. No. I'm through with that nonsense. It was a royal PITA to use the old boards' special coding so that everyone went to their particular favorite URL when they clicked on a link. Those special links couldn't be edited online since they appeared on the boards as special HTML coding and not UBB coding. And the same problem will happen with the shortened 'post=' code if someone wants to copy that link to elsewhere, like a Wiki article, e.g., and it won't work and they'll have to edit it.
'coh' and 'cityofvillains' URLs take you to boards.cityofheroes.com. The mods should do the same with 'uk' and whatever other URL monstrosities that exists out there and stop supporting all these URLs as if they were separate websites since they're not. The 'fr' version doesn't even take you to a French language version nor even have the French forums open when you get to the site. All URLs are bringing you to the same exact front page with the same exact interface and skin.
This is a clear case of KISS, and it's stupid not to keep it simple. Get the mods to make all the URLs point to the main URL, or they're welcome to change all the links in the GUIDES to the special proprietary UBB code, cause I'm not bothering with that nonsense. The links I'm creating right now come from dragging and dropping the link as it appears in a thread list into the boards' own editor. This means that the board itself doesn't automatically support it's own thread linking feature.
Using the UBB 'post=' code is just a BAD IDEA since it's not a standard portable code.
There, rant done.

Update: Links are fixed up to part VI. of XVI.

Quote:Too simplistic. Not enough cross-dimensional Marcus Co-Els punching reality. They need to do a "Death of Superman" type thing. Statesman and Recluse can die fighting each other. Then we get Statesboy, Statesgirl, Statesborg, Statesbot, and Shaq... I mean Steel... I mean State.
And Recluse can get retconned into an emo EMT who can transform back and forth between normal guy and spider guy.
