    Oh yeah.

    Never mind.
  2. Is there some reason that couldn't have been a MA co-op mission in the RWZ set for level 4 mimicking the mission objective of an existing canon mission?
  3. Can you get them to spawn in the Lady Grey TF mission to Thorn Tree in the same manner?

    Pax

And there's been a documented case of 'Swine' Flue at PAX. If you attended and have any symptoms, see a doctor and stay home from work/school/stores/church etc....

    Thanks for the update!

You can still up-rep those with rep turned off. They can read the comments if they want or ignore them. And if they ever turn rep back on, the history of +/- rep will still affect their status.

IOW, you can never really 'turn it off', you can only set it 'not to show.'

Is it possible, in any way (please please please please say yes) to display all the forums within the categories on the front page of the forums, like in the old ones, WITHOUT having to click once to open up the category. I liked being able to just log into the forums and click directly on the Virtue forum, or the Comic & Hero/Villain Culture forum. Now, I have to click to open up For Fun! first, THEN click Comic & Hero/Villain Culture, then if I want to leave and go read the Virtue forum, I have to click the Back button twice, or the City of Heroes Forums link directly, then open the NEW section of forums... it's a ton of extra clicks that's very annoying.
Yes. Click on 'English' and that will open up all the sub forums. Then, bookmark that page which is:

  10. I just wait for a freespec accompanying a new issue. While not guaranteed, has always come through.

    ZOMG! Horatio doesn't keep kosher!!
  12. Castle has posted how the problems with remembering last read is aggravating him. He also said their working on it.
  13. Everyone on the Test Server should have a permanent Power Analyzer.

    That'll really help test things.
  14. I got the sledgehammer you asked for. Why did you want... oh.

    Purple Drops

Villianside, the Reichssman Strike Force is the way to go. If you stay to defeat all the ambushes after defeating Reichsman, you'll wind up defeating over 1.5k foes, which, on average, means that a purple will drop each time the Strike Force is run. Of course, then its a roll to see who on the team will get it. So, you'll get a Purple from this SF once every eight times you run it... on average.

I've seen one or two Purple drops from this SF every time I've been on it.

They already announced extra long maintenance for this past Friday and Tuesday mornings.

But I don't think it's I16. Maybe Thursday. Or the following Tuesday is very likely.

I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but, lately I've noticed this skin is causing the forums to respond ridiculously slow and sometimes only half loading pages.

I've run with this skin turned off and the forums respond lickety split without any errors.

    Anyone else having this issue?

Update: And of course the forums make a liar out of me yet again Doesn't look like it's an issue with this skin. Sorry Zombie. Keep up the good work!
I think both the forums and the Internet in general had problems this weekend.

Skinning does slow the boards down a bit. It helped me to switch from showing 100 posts per page to 50 posts per page.
  18. Even though I was an experienced player by the time CoV game out, I didn't recognize the elevators in the new Arachnos maps as actually being elevators. And so, I submitted bug reports on 'broken' maps that were actually perfectly fine!
  19. The crashes are a cry for help:

    1. The type of crashes you had sound a lot like heat problems. Check it out with Speedfan while running the game.

    2. The CoH Helper files shows bogus dates for the graphics driver, so, something is screwy there. Delete your drivers and reinstall. Also, since it's an older machine, update all your drivers including motherboard chipset/CPU drivers if available (see manufacturer's website).

    3. You only have 10% disk space left on your C: drive. Windows doesn't like that and will start panicking. To clear out disk space:
    1. Go to control panel and then Add/Remove Programs and get rid of any programs you don't need any more.

    2. Go into Windows Explorer (not the Internet Explorer) and right click on your C: drive and chose Properties. Under the General Tab, you'll see a button for Disk Cleanup, run it and get rid of deleted (recycle bin) and temp files.

    3. Under the General Tab, make sure Indexing is not selected. Unless you need to do quick searches of your documents on a regular basis, you don't need this. It may take a while to propagate the un-indexing to all the sub-folders.

    4. Go to the Tools Tab and click on the defrag button. Run the defragger. It may take an hour or two to defrag. Make sure the computer doesn't power down during it (you'll find power options where you change the screen saver -- right click on desktop...).
    4. Your registry is a mess. But it's typical for an older machine. So many programs are intrusiveware in that they put themselves into your start-up registry... the same trick that viruses and malware do. A well behaved program starts when it's called up and then exits your system completely when closed rather than leave hooks in hidden services and background applications. Graphics intensive programs (like CoH) typically take noticeable hits to performance when such programs are lurking in the shadows. If you cut and paste your hijackthis log into this site: http://www.hijackthis.de/ you'll see the problems. Go here to understand the hijackthis report: http://pchell.com/support/hijackthistutorial.shtml

You can clean out your registry by hand, using msconfig to take programs out of start-up and to stop unneeded services:

Start > Run > msconfig > Startup Tab (and uncheck intrusiveware) > Services Tab > Check 'Hide Microsoft Services' and then uncheck intrusiveware.

Also, HijackThis allows you to take stuff out of the start-up registry.

    OR..........

Reinstall Windows and applications. Make sure you have a Windows install disk, then back up all your data. Then reformat the hard drive, reinstall Windows, run all Windows updates and driver updates. Then reinstall applications and data. Does wonders for older machines and you can skip all the steps above.

Psi defense, yes. Psi resistance, no.
  21. The one in Sharkhead changed ownership.

Also, if you go into DJ Zero's Valentine mission, the monkeys spawn in the corner of the map in the water (no cage). It's a bug.

Check out this thread, Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines

Then post the results of these two programs:

    • CoH Helper - (posted above, too) it will show us basic computer settings and your CoH configuration.
    • HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format > Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.
