  2. You have so much running in the background: skype, bittorrent, yahoo, google, messenger, sidebar, installshield, hp, apple, and every peripheral has a resident 'helper' which doesn't need to be resident.

Any one of them could be the possible problem.

Time to start weeding the garden. See here for an explanation of the HijackThis log: http://pchell.com/support/hijackthistutorial.shtml

Looks like just a Paragon Times article will be published.

Arbiter Kim is a recent new hire in the Paragon Studios QA organization, and we've been training him up to take a more active role with the City of Heroes community. If he sees a forum bug/issue, and the details are not clear, he'll contact players that posted in that thread for further clarification/reproduction steps.
Well, that's no reason for Red Skeleton to stop posting.

In the first two years of CoH's history, we had QA and the Video-Card-Guru dev interact regularly in the tech/training forums.

QA would answer questions about what was a bug or not and even elicit help from players tracking down bugs and trying things out.

And the video-card-guru dev would answer questions about what should and wouldn't work with the various graphics settings and the ATI/Nvidia cards and drivers.

    Really miss that.

    Just sayin'...

    Both debunked theories.
  8. Your supposition is correct. And reports of this are becoming increasingly more common. (Maybe because people are doing a lot more zone missions rather than AE missions with the last Issue changes to AE.)

Keep /bugging it each time it happens.
  9. It *might* be because the 2009 Halloween Event will have salvage trigger one of two types of zone events (Zombie Apocalypse or Deadly Apocalypse). So, Live might be already set up to the new spawning rules, but since the event isn't active yet, nothing is happening.

I'm not the negrepper in this case, but I was considering it just for starting this thread. You've been around long enough to know that info comes when info comes. And you have a history of trying to bait the Devs into responding to your 'innocent' questions about upcoming issues.

This is not new to you and the negative reaction to these threads is not new to you. Don't know why you're surprised by it. It's like being surprised you got stung after throwing a rock at a hive.

  11. Now see, *there's* your problem, you've got prostitutes runnin' through the walls. Tell you what I can do: I can lay out a few poison traps 'bout the wainscotting baited with twenty dollar bills and some needles and hope there's no king pimp nest in there.

Must have missed the newsletter that 'breeders' has been mainstreamed.

Note to self: find out the new gayhtto slang for the fashion challenged.

I know for sure the Build Up IO does. If you right click it, you'll learn that the power is called internally 'power boost' and you can get the real numbers of it by putting [Power Boost] in your chat window.
  14. Maybe we should PM Sean Michael Fish.

Who else has experienced this problem, and how was it solved?
ROP includes a firewall, that might be the problem. If they do have a firewall running, you can try disabling it to see if that's the problem.

Or, name a port to use.
  16. Tip: When I respec my high level toons, I take out the low level Stealth IO to pass to a new alt and replace it with a high level Stealth IO.

    Welcome!

I see 'Online Community Manager' has been removed from the jobs postings, so, congrats on the new job!

Some long time bugs are collected here, though I haven't had time to update the ones fixed since Issue 16.

Does your new job as Bug Czar mean we drove Red Skeleton insane in the last Beta?
  18. Or you can email yourself your progress and put the AV you defeated in the title, so that looking at your email window, you'll see the list.

Try bidding for the Jump Stealth IO that you can put into Sprint; they're usually cheaper than the Run or Fly.

Or, run the Positron TF a few times and you'll have enough Merits to buy a Stealth IO from a Merit Vendor at level 15.
  20. Anyone is free to play as many games as they want.

But they can only post in one forum otherwise you're an unloyal jerk.

Guess I need to update that since the restrictions have changed in the past issue.

    No one knows.

Maybe even the Devs aren't sure about some of those things yet. And if they are, it may change in Testing. So,

    No one knows.

SuppressFX is *not* supposed to suppress weapons (or capes or selectable auras). If it does, it's a bug. Send a PM to BAB about it (and a /bug report for QA) so that it's flagged not to suppress.
