    /noclip please.
  2. Wouldn't that be more of a bug than a suggestion? It's not like any other event does that. Weird. Though what are you doing changing a costume at a time like that!
  3. I was fun, stargeek and me and some others went to croatoa and hollows, and got some badges. It was even better on PI earlier, when I was with a group fighting an Eo on Cutlass island, and the zombie parade started too

    Welcome back Silas!
  4. KJSR.net is my radio of choice, the Voice of Jello Shooters!
  5. There are already plenty online, linked earlier in the thread, actually. But hell - one more can't hurt.
  6. According to Ocho at the convention this summer, "anything under the first two are about the same". The numbers are very even, across pretty much all the servers except for Freedom and Virtue. I suspect they'll always have a large contingent. Protector went from being lolprotector to the little server that could, to "we're up in the high middle what?!".

    That's because Protector's cool
  7. Should I prepare a Snow White character, or is this more elves-and-dwarves? hehehe.
  8. So your team's disconnects are "customer support issues" now?

Last I heard, they were "your connection sucks" issues. There is nothing that any GM can do about a tf that's not giving rewards if your team mate has dc'd, or the whole team, or whatever. That's completely out of their control.

Face it dude: if you know there are "stability issues" *don't start a darn tf*. DUH. If your mission is bugged, there's not much that anyone can do. Sorry. It's not their fault you chose to do things during an unstable moment in time, or that your team mates dc'd. It's not the game's issue. Bug things that are actually bugged, move on.

It's a game, dude. If you've got a large supergroup, there must be other things you CAN do with folks.
  9. I'm reminded of the child born sometime in the mid 70s? I think? Whose parents waited until she was like 4 years old to ask her what she wanted her name to be.

    She named herself Purple.

This is why we need to start with names.

Fitting aliens into super squirrels is more likely at a furry con.

    >_> And I'm a furry, I can say stuff like that lol!!

No seriously - most conventions are organized a year in advance, with preparations made for getting hotel arrangements and flight / travel times a priority. Remember that it's not just "go get a hotel" it's NC is making hotel arrangements so that there are blocks of rooms available to JUST us, so that we don't disrupt others that might accidentally be around.

Not that I'm part of "us" this year, but still
  11. If you don't like the name your character has at level 10, buy a namechange.

If you don't like the name of your character at level 50, buy a namechange.

You have to start WITH a name. It's that simple. It does not make any sense whatsoever to "not" name it at the start. Naming it does more than just put a tag on "your" character.

It makes the character YOURS, and yes, there's a difference.
  12. You know that we CAN select a name at the start of character generation now, right? I mean... that big bar of tabs across the top of the gen screen means you can switch around if you want to...

We can pay for renames, we can pay for server switches and extra slots. We don't need to get some things utterly free.

    Wrong.

We complain about the people playing pvp being jerks. The devs evened up the field in a way that pvp people didn't much care for. However it DID even up the field a bit. The people generally willing to dedicate themselves to pvp will still always - always - always gank people like myself and my friends who do NOT want to "just" do pvp. I don't like pvp because of the people. Not because it isn't fun with *the right people*. I love playing with folks that I trust won't teabag me and make fun. And no - sorry, no matter how many times people claim it, "that's part of the experience" is not an excuse to act like a 12 year old who's had too much sugar.

People in pvp are the problem. I will say that the system here doesn't work for everyone because it wasn't in the original game experience. I didn't come here to play pvp - and honestly by the numbers, 90% of the rest of the game's population didn't either.

  18. Oooh, Corpse Weaver sounds creepy as heck! Good name!!

Whenever I make a new character with what I think is a "great name" and it's taken, it almost always surprises the heck out of me, because I usually have 'normal names' or 'extremely odd descriptions'.

Though the one I was REALLY surprised to get, on Freedom no less, was Little Booger. I thought for sure it'd either be taken or restricted, but no, I got it! The alternate name I had thought I'd be settling for (which I can't even remember now lol) was taken, so I slipped back in to the "maybe it'll be open" and ... and there I am. Little Booger lives lol.

How many hours a week do you play?

also, anyone interested in filling their swimming pool with gold doubloons to swim around in follow the link in my sig- it encompasses everything you need to become filthy stinking rich.
Well, okay to be fair, my newer toons have WAY more inf on them than my older ones, because I soloed the older ones a LOT. Hell my first 50 still only has like less than a million on her and I do still play her. Oh yeah - I respecced her and then realized holy crap I don't have any inf to buy new io's lol!

Basically if you team and do task / strike forces, I've noticed you tend to have a LOT more inf. I don't, still don't, so most of my characters are poor. They usually have enough to buy set fillers when I get a recipe drop or two that fits them. I haven't run out of money on anyone for a long while, but that's because I can still move stuff around with friends online now and then.
  20. I think it's funny that some folks think 3 million is a lot, and others think 30 million, or even 300.

Until about a year ago, the most I ever had on all my characters *combined* was less than 1 million. Then of course, the auction house changed all that. But still, my whole spread of characters is still "worth" less than 100 million, and that's with a LOT of sell-it-if-you-can't-use-it lucky strikes.

For my part, I never hesitate to allow people to give me more. I give it away at times myself, so it's all in motion anyway.
  21. I'd prefer a choice, since I already have several of them from going to comic con. I don't know if it'd be accepted by the masses - because OMG THAT'S TOO LONG TO WAIT!!!!1one

Still. I don't use the ones I've got, myself. I like seeing *my* costume
