I can't use the name "Rogues Gallery".
Despite it being:
1. A common expression.
2. The name of two enemy groups in City of Heroes/Villains
3. Perfectly fine a year ago.
What is going on? Is the AE community not dead enough yet? Are they that desperate to make it as desolate as the PVP & base building communities? -
Quote:Aha it worked! Fantastic!Happened to me the other day. Clear room in your tray, then email yourself something else. When you try to claim that new one, it will not allow you and say you have global transactions pending. Logout, and back in, and you should see the enhancement that disappeared is now in your tray. That's what I did, and got my Glad Armor +3 back. Whew.
Many thanks chaps! -
When I was talking about bad emoting I was mostly referencing the ERP crowd.
-
Quote:Typical bio consists of:There is City Hall, Fort Trident, Portal Corp, AE's Studio B for a more casual setting, Vanguard HQ, the Freedom Corp building until Galaxy gets nuked, and many other small gem locations hidden throughout zones. I'd love to see more RP in any of these locations, too, but I doubt anyone's gonna wanna leave their /e walllean and ERP waiting in Pocket D.
((Any Rp, Walk up encouraged, tells encouraged, Futa, Looking for sub))
[insert bio about how "she" smells like flowers, is not human, has mental powers of some kind, and also list all of her measurements. Oh and a theme song. Always remember the theme song.]
Typical RP consists of:
*giggles*
Bad emoting. (two male virgins trying to be sexy...nuff said...)
Hardcore walk toggling.
An eventual trip to the base teleporter.
Oddly enough the ERP crowd isn't the type that annoys me the most. The thing that bothers me is that everyone -not- ERPing in Pocket D is roleplaying the -exact- same character. Regardless of their backstory/character description/etc they will all be "smart alecs" who seem to have lifted their sense of humour straight from a badly written version of family guy. Even the demi-gods, paladins, robots, and whatever else all seem to be "chasing the joke".
I would love to meet some RPers who don't live vicariously through their characters.
Quote:It may be because I missed Gemini Park's glory days, but I find it's easier to start up RP in the D. "Hey there, come here often?" to a stranger in a bar seems natural, but the same line in a park makes me feel like some sort of creep.
I much preferred Gemini Park because you'd actually find characters there that didn't look like they'd jumped straight out of a Cyberpunk RP. -
Oh god yes. Anything to escape the drudgery that is Pocket D.
-
Quote:Loitering in a park was better than being a barfly though. (Pocket D has got to be the worst setting in the game.) I just wish the RP community had somewhere COOL to RP. Like a JLA watchtowers/Hall of Doom equivalent. Can't wait for the new stuff. When we started, Gemini was still around and we went a few times but always found it awkward to RP there. It just never seemed that cool. I guess I prefer action RP a lot more.
I agree though, RPing in missions is much cooler. But with everyone just repeating trials these days that seems to have stagnated too. -
Sounds cool. Why so long away though?
-
Been working my way through a couple lowbie arcs. Just tried "Night Calls the Weaver". It's absolutely amazing.
-
You have to ask yourself why you decided to make this arc. Did you do it so everyone would love you or did you make it because you wanted to tell an interesting story?
-
I've noticed that since Pocket D became the new RP hotspot, RP seems to be more segregated and supergroup-focused now. The only real public RP is the ((ALL RP ANYTHING GOES)) Pocket D crowd...

I quite like that Gemini Park is getting nuked into orbit. Change is good.

Quote:u madI assume you're a PvE'r, thing is you PvE'rs cry over every little thing oh wahh I don't want any f2p players on my server because im an elitist give me 500 free transfers to vip servers nao, ohhh wahhh this little pixel on this irrelevant power isn't working as combat attributes told me it would, PLZ FIX IT NAO! its all ten times worse then the PvPing community, we have one thing to constantly complain to the devs about and thats not even an i13 rollback or something as drastic because realistically its never going to happen. Truth is majority of us want the devs to come out and admit they WERE WRONG, and just hope that progress would hopefully pick up from there.

This is why anecdotal evidence is the worst kind of evidence.

@War Admiral - Nice to meet you as well. You seem like a very friendly chap. It is a shame we won't be able to spend any quality time with you. I can tell you and Vincent would become great friends.
@Cherry Cupcakes - No chance am I going to get drawn into an internet argument about word definitions. Once we end up hitting the old "arguing about what words mean" it's quite clear the conversation has run it's course. I shouldn't have posted that link. Just felt like being snarky I guess.
You're right though. We definitely were being uncompromising in our desire to join this league. -
Quote:The QA team are aware of every single PVP bug. Thanks for the input everyone, I've started a list in the original post. What other bugs are out there that we know of? Not gameplay or mechanics issues.. just bugs according to official patch notes and such. Any powers that are using the incorrect damage scales and such? I thought there were a few out there. Was the placate bug ever fixed for stalkers?
I'm happy they took the Dom/Troller epic sleet off the phase timer that was nice of them at least -

Wassup TA. Get yourself to Virtue ASAP!

Quote:Haha. The devs clearly needed to realise that the guys who design the cars are rarely the best drivers. And Babs got rolled on everything he brought... repeatedly.
Shut down, turned off, killed and clowned.
It was very lol @ devs... there was alot of smack talk involved.. which lead to...
"THIS is why we are making changes to pvp"
Much profanity ensued. That's NOT how you make friends.
You can't tell me they didn't take it personally.
I learned a-lot that day.
Thanks Ed. -
Quote:While I appreciate you taking the time to put up a response here, we've pretty much given up on trying to take part in this. It's quite clear you guys don't want to it us take part as a team, nor do you actually want to engage us in discussion. The league is closed.
The compromise was/is letting them in and joining the free agent list. The desire is to have more talent on the teams that perhaps need the help, not to add another stacked team in the league. Spreading the talent better to hopefully close the gap from the bottom teams to the top 2 teams. 3 of the teams have takin hits and could use the extra people.
We'd like to make things better for the teams that have been in both the basic training and now this league. Not make it worse. By letting in another stacked team, when there are teams that are in need of people on their rosters, i feel it would be a detriment. Its too bad there is an unwillingness there to perhaps take this offer as a chance to pass along a few tips and pointers to those pvp teams that could certainly use the guidence.
It isnt myself or MAH that are not willing to compromise. It is this other team.
No hard feelings. Best of luck with your league.
Xanatos out.
