While this is the first request for Rage, specifically, that I've seen, requests to turn off the effects of powers have been quite common.
As for a "reason" as to why these powers haven't been addressed yet: my educated estimate is that they just haven't gotten around to it yet. The effects team is aware that there are a number of powers in the game for which people would prefer a "Minimal FX" option (the most oft requested being Hasten, I believe). I suggest heading over to the All Things Art - FX Edition thread and making a post similar to this. Tunnel Rat has been keeping an eye on that thread, and has acknowledged many requests similar to this one. -
Quote:1. From the sounds of it, we will be able to do something like this once i21 launches, since I recall reading somewhere that we would be able to purchase costume pieces directly from the tailor's costume editor interface. (No, I do not have the exact link to the post.) My guess as to why this is not being implemented yet: it was no where near ready to launch, so the Devs gave us the easiest work-around they could, that would likely present the least amount of problems.Suggestions:
- Costume pieces with no level requirement should just unlock - just like you purchased a costume pack.
- Costume pieces with a level requirement should auto-unlock at level 50.
- Remove the concept of a costume piece voucher completely.
2. I completely agree with this. Standard Code Rant obviously applies, but I would hope it would be fairly easy to be able to claim the Ascension piece vouchers, but not be able to touch them until achieving level 50.
3. See my above response. It's possibly we won't ever see any other in-game vendor that sells vouchers/certificates once i21 launches, but for the time being, this may be the best they can give us. -

For the chest and legs options, I picture some leather and metal hybrid, with metal plating and leather straps or pieces filling in the gaps in the armor between the plates.
For the boots, shoulders, and gloves, I definitely want to use the Rularuu weapons as inspiration. I think they should be dark, thickly-cast metal, with silvered-out sharp edges. For the boots size, think something in between Praetorian Police and Alpha. For the gloves, something akin to the appearance of the "Organic Armor Thorny" option, but like the Organic armor, with a less large alternative. Finally, I see the shoulders being a hybrid between the "Gladiator" pads (I think that's what they are called, the asymmetrical ones) and the "Organic" look. Also, I think all three of these pieces should be possibilities for that signature eye ball, with the bigger options incorporating it, and the smaller options without it.
Chest detail could be an additional armored chest piece, most likely with an eyeball in the dead center.
The head is tough. I wish to avoid any eyeballs here, simply because I've seen the crazy eyeball on a head in the "Cyclops" on the ITF and it's funky looking. I think the head option should be a half helmet, a cross between the Warrior and the Valkyrie, that extends a little further down the neck in the back. Optional detail 1 and 2 for this could be small axe-blade-shaped protrusions out the sides, along with some kind of guard for the lower jaw and chin. Options sans-helmet (i.e. on the "Standard" head) would be a similar chin guard, and then a brow guard for above the eyes. -
Quote:A lot of good points here. The *easiest* way would probably be attaching rewards to an already existing system. (preferably one that's already time-locked)
Unless they do something with the Signature Arcs (which they might, actually, now that I think about it) there's probably not going to be much *new* solo content. They *might* attach it to already existing content in some form, though. ("Incarnate Mode" is something that's been thrown around)
But that still leaves the question of what is considered "reasonable" play-time to achieve something. And I don't think the hermits have the same conception as the devs there.
Anywhere else in the game, a solo progression will typically take longer than progression with a team. And a team's progression will likely take longer than in a full league. So it is reasonable to assume that any incarnate progression based around small team content (i.e. 8 or less) will take longer than the league content. That's just the game's pattern, and though I want a progression option that does not require me to wait for a full league (or anyone for that matter) to start up, to want an equal time scale is unreasonable based on the rest of the game. -
I like it, but maybe as a reward for completing the Cathedral of Pain trial once? This would be along the same lines as the Roman armor being behind the Imperious Task Force. It would be something that would require some organization, and the premise for it certainly makes it feel "epic," thus the reward of Rularuu armor would feel well-deserved once obtained.

Hi Pinnacle!
For the past few weeks, as most of you have probably noticed, the forums (and the CoX Life Discussion forum in particular) have been rife with controversy surrounding current and future game operating, progression options, and reward availability. In those many topics, people have gotten into some very heated arguments over their particular views, trying desperately to (at least) clearly illuminate their point of view and possibly to convince others to change their mind. Some people have acknowledged the opposing viewpoint, others have conceded and given up their arguments, and still others remain adamant that they are correct while no one else is. It has resulted in some topics that are extremely interesting to read, whether it is for an actual evidence-based debate that is taking place, or simply the comedic value a flame war of epic proportions.
I have played on and off since 2007 (due to other obligations), but have only been a full-time subscriber for the past year, and my forum activity has increased since. I have noticed that many of the names that I see here on the forums are names with whom I have teamed, at one point or another, on Pinnacle, and I have to congratulate the lot of you.
As with the forum community as a whole, many of your posts have been written from very different viewpoints, and vary in intensity. Some of you have appeared down right ready to start using the bat smash emote on each other, yet I log into the game and I see everyone teaming together. I myself have been very passionate about some of the issues being discussed, and have butted heads with a few of you in various topics. Not only have we managed to keep our responses to each other civilized ("we" meaning I and which ever one of you I happen to be responding to), but I can log into the game and be invited to teams and leagues by many of you, without any sign of ill feelings.
I recently made a post on one of the aforementioned topics about how communication breeds community, and I find the manner of communication in which we as a server operate, both in-game and here on the forums, is respectful, open-minded, and at the very least, tolerant. Even if you may be left seething by someone's ideas here on the forum, I have yet to see someone use those feelings as a reason to exclude someone from a team invite, and that is commendable in the gaming world. Civilized communication has given us a pretty civilized server, full of a lot of people who are willing to help one another, both newb and vet alike.
Essentially, I want to thank the Pinnacle server community for being one that prefers to take the high road. I have very much enjoyed my time here, and I hope to continue teaming with you all in the future.
TL;DR, for my esteemed server-mate XFUNK down there: Pinnacle has a very level headed population that makes people feel quite welcome and treats them with respect, and I'm commending everyone on that.
Ya big ol' group o' drunks! -
I've always loved ice themed characters in comic books. So when I signed in back when my account was still a trial, my first character was an Ice/Ice blaster, my namesake. He was never rerolled, but I think I did have to respec him about 3 or 4 times between 1 and 50, simply because I was learning more about the game and what I could and could not do.

Quote:Not really. When you solo a TF or a story arc, you get the same stuff (reward merits) but it takes longer. In this case, it takes longer to accumulate Shards than it does Threads, and it costs inf to convert those Shards into Threads if you want a 1:1 conversion rate. To be fair, the costs have decreased, and the 1 million inf it now costs to convert 10 shards to 10 threads should be easily obtainable in the time it takes to acquire 10 Shards. But why should it cost anything at all? If they are sticking with the slower drop rate for Shards, then the increased amount of time it takes to accumulate the necessary amount of shards should be enough of a hindrance. Same with the Notice of the Well conversion, as that is only obtainable once a week. Why is it not viable? You still get the same stuff, it just takes longer.
If players want to continuously run other high level content in search for shards that they can then convert to threads, and those shards drop less frequently than threads which, in turn, requires a longer time commitment, is not that equal to a player who wants to continuously run the trials in order to get the components he needs to craft his powers?
And in response to LISAR's question, yes, I find the Alpha Unlock Arc to be a worthy difficulty level for future small scale Incarnate-based content. However, for obtaining components, I see nothing wrong with the system that came with Issue 19. -
For bringing out the rage in me, "The Evil Countess Crey" from Janet Kellum takes the cake. Seeing the false corporate face of Crey throughout the entire arc makes me really engaged in taking her down at the end.
Lady Grey's Task Force really gets me when the Honoree returns. When they reveal the warped, twisted version of Hero 1, and then you have to fight him... oh man, gets me right in the chest.
Finally, "The Savage Man" from Aaron Walker, especially because of the times where you have to choose what to tell Noble Savage about his family and friends. What a mind job... -
Quote:For another example, how would you justify a character with the Pixels Aura to be an Incarnate, but a character with a Gaseous Aura to not necessarily be an Incarnate, within the world of the game? I don't mean to put you on the spot nor to come off as attacking, just genuinely and simply curious.Quote:I'm not keen on locking cosmetic stuff like auras and costume pieces in general, but if you *are* going to lock e.g. auras behind the incarnate system, it should be suitably incarnate-like auras.
Or from the other direction, which is closer to my personal stance on this subject: if you're going to add "normal" auras to the game, auras that are equivalent in scope and magnitude to the current level 30 (or booster pack level 1) auras, then they should be placed behind the same lock (or at least an equivalent one), not placed behind a much higher thematically unrelated lock just because that lock is the new big thing.Quote:I did and I still don't get why the incarnate system specifically. lol
I have tha auras now myself tho, still can't see anything epic about it.
Edit: The iAuras may be nicer looking than the normal auras, I admit. However that's a prolly because the normal auras came long time ago. Bit like old vs new in weapon models or for example if you compare the blockheaded Hellion models to the new Rikti or IDF. -
Quote:You're welcome, and I hope that has been made clear to people who view it differently.Thank you for writing that. That pretty much explains how I define power, as I take context and game universe into account as well.
I, too, consider myself to be someone who tends to put themselves in the world of the character without much RP. It is for that reason that I am upset by some of the things up for purchase with Incarnate Merits, and have therefore included the last sentence of my previous post in the above quote. I am curious how you, someone who (from the sounds of it) seems to have a similar approach to characters as I, would justify that last phrase? For another example, how would you justify a character with the Pixels Aura to be an Incarnate, but a character with a Gaseous Aura to not necessarily be an Incarnate, within the world of the game? I don't mean to put you on the spot nor to come off as attacking, just genuinely and simply curious. -
To add my two cents to the discussion about what "power" is, mainly between Pacur and Aura-Familia, I think you are both right. Within the world of the game, as in the actual fictional universe, Pacur is correct: Having an aura is an expression of greater mastery over your powers, because that is clearly explained as you complete the mission at level 30 necessary to unlock them. However, Aura_Familia is referencing the technical aspects of an aura vs. a power, in that an aura is purely cosmetic and has no other effect whereas a power (as defined by the game mechanics) not only has a visual effect but also influences the environment and/or other players in some way. Essentially, you both are using the same word (power) to describe two different things: in Pacur's case it is prestige among the player community and the in-universe ability for a character to alter his/her appearance, and in Aura's case it is a player's ability to actually influence the other aspects of the game.
{As a quick side note, the justification for "auras expressing a greater mastery of power" a.k.a. gated behind level 30, is quickly waning with many being available at level 1 courtesy of booster packs, Going Rogue, and now the vouchers. CoHF may continue this trend.}
In the game, these are both things which are, and rightly so, expressed by being an Incarnate: you get access to powers unobtainable by lower level characters, and you gain access to costume pieces and auras that are also unobtainable by lower level characters, thus making an Incarnate character act and look the part. No one can argue that the Incarnate abilities are quite powerful and meant to be so. The cosmetic Incarnate Rewards, like the actual Incarnate powers, are meant, at least in part, to be a statement of prestige.
However, given the fact that most of the cosmetic rewards are visually on-par (meaning what they look like, not graphics quality, because that has improved) with things we already have access to at lower levels, the only "prestige" exhibited is a type of bragging rights; a way to say, "I am able to have metallic objects orbiting me because I saved up my merits after running the trials!" However, if we choose to look at it from Pacur's viewpoint, meaning from within the game universe, the question remains of why having ghosts surround you signifies "Incarnate power" whereas having wisps surrounding you does not have that significance. -
Quote:Hey, c'mon, I already admitted that my use of the word "exclusively" was inaccurate (page 2 or 3, I think, Pacur quoted it only a few posts up from this one). I suppose I should go back and edit the post considering few people will read the entire thread at this point. I also tried to be clear in both places that, indeed, there are many other things being run. To paraphrase myself from earlier: there was a time when the AE building was also packed, and people cried out that the rest of the game would never be played again. Since you and I are both on Pinnacle, I think we can both agree that nowadays, even the Atlas Park AE building is quite quiet, yes?"most" ? "exclusively" ? Bad way to start your premise with such a gross inaccuracy.
About 1/3 of my playtime is taken up by trials, that's recruiting included. Last night I ran the Usurper arc with a friend, helped 2 other friends get Portal Jockey, and ran some tips on my lowbie Cold Defender.
I get a pretty good handle on what's going on on the server because I'm nearly always watching PinnBadges with half an eye. Even on a day like Patch day, Trials are barely over half the things happening.
Do they take up a lot of people during prime time? yup, but they're by no means the only thing people are doing.
With that hopefully cleared up, I have to say I enjoyed following you on the Keyes trial on Tuesday night. You kept it tight and ran it successfully, so I hope a poor choice of words on my part does not deter you from taking me on as a teammate in the future.
Quote:I think you are right that we have to agree to disagree on that. I am viewing the auras and costume pieces obtainable only through e-merits together with their names and the story we have going on in general. So to me, they are signifying an increase in power, and since before we haven't really had anything like the Incarnates rewards. But I guess costumes are just costumes and auras are just auras to other people.
I know we share the server, and this was not meant as a roundabout affront. I was simply stating all the facts so that people who were not there to see that event would have all the same information as well. The point I was making is that even on low-population servers, you can find people to run the TFs that basically noone runs.
Quote:As for the Incarnates are the current hot items thing? yes, I agree with you there to an extent. Especially with the new trial coming out, there is great interest in it. But as you yourself implied, the hotness of these things will die down, as it did for AE, and the population will "redistribute".
Quote:What if the auras were something more flashy? Would it be more reasonable then?
For everything else, what we see is that we can change costumes with a fiery evil laugh at level 1, but have to wait until we are Incarnate to change with an ice block. An alien can be on your chest at level 1, but a bar code requires Incarnate status. You can be surrounded by a fiery aura at level 30, but if you want to have boils popping all over your body you will need to be an Incarnate. You see where I'm going, and I don't mean to shove it down your throat, simply give multiple pieces of evidence. By all means, if all the rewards were a step up from the pre-level 50 non-booster-pack items (<--important), then I would have absolutely no complaints. -
Good numbers BZB. Can't argue much with that hard data.
There are multiple easy fixes out there (Standard Code Rant, obv.). Hell, the easiest one in my mind would not be to ditch Shards (forcing the elimination of a lot of other stuff), but rather simply increase their drop rate to be on-par with Threads, and make the Shard-->Thread conversion a free 1:1, without a time restriction. I grant that it made semi-logical sense for releasing it the way they did: many players had a great number of Shards saved up upon the launch of i20, and the Devs did not want players getting high tier abilities without even touching the Trials. But that panic period is past, and now it is even possible to build Alpha powers using the salvage from i20. So yes, something should be done if the solo "alternative" is to be considered comparable. -
Quote:"Badging" is another part of this game, much like the "tailoring" population who enjoy costumes the most, or the "power-leveling" population who simply want the most power as quickly as possible. But the difference is that badges are invisible until sought. It is usually nigh-impossible to tell which of two characters has more badges simply by looking at their physical appearance and their abilities (save for a few Accolade powers). I agree with your sentiment of "if you want the rewards, do the trials," but the examples are not quite on the same level.Same can be said about badge collecting by many players who hated the thought of PvP and still to this day hate PvP. But the devs added badges into the PvP zones and yet many people complained they were forced to enter and PvP to get badges, but look at it now, everything seems to have worked out.
If you want the rewards, then do the trials, you want the badges then enter a PvP zone, plain and simple. If you don't like the fact you need to do these things to get the rewards, then by all means don't do it.
Hell at least with the Incarnate rewards you have another path you can travel to get the rewards. When the badges were brought to PvP there was no other path for obtaining them
Quote:anyone wanna stop for a moment and imagine the Paragon Store selling these "nonIncarnate" specific costume pieces?
I mean, for crying out loud... a lot of you are whining that you "want" another way to obtain these items. Paragon Store just might be the thing. We won't know until the beta allows more/all of us to test this... but Jeezus H Krimminy... stop and breathe.
Quote:TLDR for this section: Costumes don't change gameplay, you can get everything else with non-empyrian stuff. Also, the new costumes and auras are designed to reward heroes and villains who are on the incarnate path, and therefore, the best-looking ones signify an accumulation of power, and are available only through E-merits.
Quote:To address your other concern, that people are playing trials exclusively, I find that it is simply not true. Even on generally low-population servers such as mine, there are plenty of task and strike forces running every day, and people announce if they have interesting missions, if people want to join them. I even managed to run ALL four Shadow Shard Taskforces in ONE day about 2-3 weeks ago (I am not making this up, will post proof if necessary), only one of which was planned, and I was able to find people to run it with me, even though they (the TFs) are the least-popular int he game.
TLDR for this section: If you try, you can find people to run even the most time consuming TFs with you.. Kidding/teasing aside, "exclusively" was a poor choice of words on my part. I meant that trials are currently the "hot" item, much like Architect missions (especially farms) were the hot items when Issue 14 launched. Back then, yes, you could find players to do other content with, but most were in Atlas Park's AE building. Now, as before, you can definitely find players to run TFs or even simple mission teams, but most can be found in RWZ or Pocket D, playing their 50s through the Trials.
-
Quote:Hi Pacur!First, hello. How ya doing?
*snipped for what I wish to address*
Also, sort of as an appendix to the final thing, there are people saying that they are being forced to play the trials. They are not. Let me repeat that. No-one is forcing people to do these trials. If you wish to, do them. If you do not, don't. Simple as that. Technically speaking, you can not set foot in a trial zone, and unlock all of the current five Incarnate slots, and slot them up. Would it take longer than doing the trials? Yes, it certainly would, but you can do everything solo, and if you wish only do it with yourself or your friends. Yes, the conversion rate from shards to threads and then to, especially, rares and very rares is kind of bad right now, but it still stands that you CAN do it all with incarnate shards.
To quickly address the "it's becoming a raiding game!" concern: this stems from the fact that currently, if only temporarily, most people are playing the trials exclusively. So for the people who have no interest in the trials, and used to have no problem finding teammates for the rest of the content in the game, it looks like the only place to find teammates is on the trials (raids). Thus, the sentiment of "Raid Takeover."
To address the above quote:
I dislike the word "force" because it implies a much more aggressive tone. But look at it this way: this half-issue brought costume pieces, emotes, costume change emotes, auras, and path auras into the game, many of which are very cool and desirable. But the one way of obtaining these options is with Incarnate Merits. Yes, if people want to play other content and simply convert Shards to Threads for their abilities, there is a way to do that (though it is far from a "fair" alternative, still taking far too long, and having been made only slightly better with the lowered inf. costs). Yes, if people want to gain Astral Merits a different way than the trials, they can run Apex and Tin Mage (again, I don't see that as a "fair" alternative, but it does exist). However, the one way of obtaining Empyrean Merits is through the Trials. So if anyone wants any of the costume change emotes, path auras, or Radiance Ascension costume pieces, they are "forced" to do the trials, meaning that there simply is no other alternative means of acquisition.
Before now, the most comparably similar situations were Vanguard costume pieces (obviously prior to the loyalty reward) and Booster Packs. Vanguard Merits (necessary for the costume pieces) require killing a specific type of enemy, but you could do that in multiple places including a large raid, a Task Force, instanced missions, and simple street sweeping. So one could go about acquiring Vanguard Merits whatever way they saw fit and could end up getting the pieces they wanted for a certain character. True, some methods will give you Merits quicker than others, but at the end of the day, you are left with Vanguard Merits, the means with which to purchase Vanguard pieces; no conversion required.
Booster Packs cost money, but were instantaneous transactions. For many people, this was a logical transition:
"I pay (about) $15 per month, and I get access to a game, plus a bunch of new content (cosmetic and game-play) every couple of months. If I shell out an extra $10 one time, I can get access to even more stuff."
Granted, those who wanted the stuff were "forced" to shell out that $10, but once they did, that was it, a 30 second transaction and they were done. As they were already paying money for this game, shelling out a little extra dough to outfit their characters with new stuff seemed perfectly justified. It only enhanced their experience.
Enter the Trials and the content (costumes, auras, etc.) now locked behind their Merits. If you want this stuff, there is only one way to get it, and it is going to take a LOT longer than 30 seconds. The player is left with one option of game-play-mechanic by which to get this new stuff: play the trials. Suddenly, the player's experience has been diminished; to get what they want, they can no longer choose what avenue of game-play they wish to pursue. Thus, you have your "force." -
A tall order, trying to actually define what an "Incarnate" is since we really do not have a totally set definition in-game.
An Incarnate, as far as my definition goes, is a being that is more powerful (either/both in power or range of abilities) than it's comparable peers. In existing comic universes, the "powerful" examples that come to mind are beings like Galactus, The Flash, or Omega Mutants such as Iceman, and other beings whose abilities are very one-dimensional, but are extremely potent. Some "varied" examples would include Martian Manhunter, Silver Surfer, and Superman (though he could technically fall into both categories). I consider all of the aforementioned characters to be the "top tier" so-to-speak, but obviously their abilities and the magnitude of said abilities can vary from character to character.
I tend to lean toward the "varied" category for what makes an Incarnate. Take Statesman for example: Sure he's super strong and nigh-immortal, but it's that Zeus's Lightning trick that makes him "Incarnate." However, I can definitely understand where incarnate power would be just that: power (and is indeed how I've chosen to build my characters). Someone may prefer to spend their time and resources getting a Tier 4 Cryonic Judgment for their Ice Blaster, rather than working on any other Incarnate powers. Actually, I sort of wish that was how they had implemented it: a character could either dip into a certain Incarnate power (judgment, Destiny, Lore, etc.) and ignore most (not all) others, OR they could be a "jack of all trades, master of none" type. Obviously, things would be different than what we have now, and many would have qualms with that idea, etc. etc. This is off-topic anyway...
My point being is that I think "variety" holds more weight. But that being said, I think there is a very fine line between "Wow, look at all the stuff that character can do, he/she must be very powerful" and an unbelievable number of different types of powers, which is what I believe we have now. So far, my 50s have only dipped into one Incarnate power each (differentiating from one to another), because I find having all those abilities to be totally unrealistic, and very hard to justify. I am a big fan of justification. C'mon, you're going to stand there and tell me that your character:
-Can turn itself into a walking golem
-Can punch people with electricity
-Can shoot fire balls
-Is uber-accurate
-Can launch a blizzard-like blast out of one hand
-Summon the souls of dead Praetorian robots to fight for it
-Greatly Heal everyone in your immediate vicinity and
-Make the majority of your attacks lower your enemies' defenses?
And you can make a believable back story to justify all of that?
Again, in my head (and perhaps only MY head) that is ridiculous, and I don't like to build my characters like that, but I am not knocking anyone who does. Some people just like the powers. How you want to build your Incarnate is your business, I just prefer a worthwhile explanation of it.
Since you are looking for a way to make these powers work for your characters, I'd say "If you can make them make sense, get whatever you can." Personally, I find more joy in staying true to my character's concept and skipping most of the Incarnate abilities, than making that character a really powerful but skewed version of his/her former self. Most comic book characters that take that latter route usually don't end up in a good place... -
I believe there's a miscommunication occurring. Based on your use of the phrase, "I find it hard to purchase the costume/aura parts sight unseen," I think Fireheart thinks you are looking for images/videos of the things offered in the Booster Packs (Magic, Super Science, Origins, etc.) before you purchase them. Except you were referring to in-game purchases involving the new pieces offered by Astral Christy and Empyrean Michael.
No, currently there are no images of those unlockable pieces available on Paragon Wiki. -
-
I like what I'm reading! This, to me, is what is quintessential to a comic book world: a dynamic, changing environment. You don't know what could happen, or where, and have to deal with threats as they arise. I know some people are not fans of the Galaxy City revamp, but there is no way to please everyone in a comic book universe, somebody is going to be upset because *insert thing here* got blown up. Keep up the good work, Devs, and thanks for keeping us informed.

Zombie Man just posted this in the other thread. It gives a nice idea about what the auras look like.
-
Quote:I definitely empathize with this. I ran Keyes once this evening, and I feel like I will have to run it at least 2-3 more times before I can actually comprehend everything that's going on. It was all moving so fast, and there were so many orders to follow that, before I knew it, it was over! Once again, a reason why 1-to-8 person story arcs, with multiple missions is a good idea: it gives people an option to read the story from the contact, and take in all that is in a mission since you rarely have a time limit (and even when you do, 95% of those are easily completed within the allotted time frame).I still feel the rat in the maze feeling for the trials, being lead around by our noses.we are so busy zipping through doing things we don't have time to think, or even enjoy the experence. I am starting to get a bit worried on what the Itrials will be for higher lvl incarnate trials, if they give me the same feelings, then I will do them just enough to open the slots and stuff but will not do them for more than 1 char.
Oh, and FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR WHAT THE NEW AURAS AND PATH AURAS LOOK LIKE, here is a video, originally posted by Zombie Man, and compiled by FraustDogger.
Auras and Path Auras -
Quote:Yes, thank you ZM! That's exactly what I was looking for.
As for what you said about the Frost Aura, how do you mean? Does it actually look like the screen shot on the overview page? Basically, what I'm asking is it akin to an effect like "every time your foot touches the ground, it leaves a small expanding patch of ice" or does it look more like a continuous trail of ice left behind you?
I'll be honest, I was and still am hoping that this would/will look like a suitable "ice slide" manifestation (even if there is no slide emote to go along with it). -
Quote:I'll second this. All of the auras and trail auras sound cool, and their names are intriguing, but unlike a costume, a simple picture up on the overview page does not do them justice as auras are constantly in motion. I'd also add costume change emotes to this "list of things we would like to see prior to purchase."I'm a self confessed costume junky with one quick note:
- I find it hard to purchase costume parts sight unseen.
Speaking of which, anyone at least have screen shots of any auras, path auras, and/or costume change emotes, and could post them? I would be very grateful.
