So 15 to 20 minutes to pay rent. Tops. And you don't even need to play the game to pull that off!
Shhhhh LOL I have done that before. In fact I still do with my 50s and yeah you can quickly make enough to pay your rent without actually facing a single enemy.

On point 2 .. Tankers inherently have more hit points than any other AT in game and their entire Primary power set revolves around Defense (survivability) and aggro control. Granted it takes some time to get all of these and at level 10 I would never dream of trying to herd with any of my tanks. Okay so I tried it a few times and after the faceplants realized I needed more of my defense sets before taunt and herding were viable options. I also undrestand that in early game tankers don't get the number of attacks a scrapper does and solo slower but at higher levels most powersets have some very good damage attacks and I have soloed and teamed with all my tanks and done well. I'm a bit confused because you state that tanks don't do enough damage early on but seem to want an inherent that offers even more defense? To an AT that has probably the most defense options in game.
  3. /oh dear please yes signed

I've had higher level characters that I decided a certai power just wasnt doing what I'd hoped for and actually found myself debating.. "Okay respec from level 1 of just let it alone and ignore using the power ever again"

Maybe they could come up with a way to respec using the same system in reverse? Start with your original power choices and simply move backwards in levels until you hit the one you want to change? Hey the mechanics are already there since you can do this same thiung during a respec to start over. That way if I was say level 44 and ONLY wanted to switch a power I picked at 38 or 41 I could simply move backward a few levels to accomplish it instead of starting out a 1 level and building all over.

BOYS! behave does every single thread HAVE to turn into a flame war. Frankly let's face facts here the game and these forums are 6 years old. After that amount of time, short of posts about the latest movie coming out or the latest speculation/rant on Going Rogue, exactly what hasn't been discussed a thousand times?

Good or bad all the OP did was ask a question. He got a decent response along with several snide remarks because "OMG someone brought that up again?" To be honest if you'd ingored his post completely instead of picking at it like a scab he'd have gotten his answer, smiled happily, and the whole thread would have died quickly.

I'm sorry if this botheres some of you but I see the same thing happen in game. A new player, okay so the OP admits he's been around a while, asks a question in broadcast and 15 vets use this opportunity to "Pick on the Noob". Such a lovely way to greet a new player trying to learn the game and then we see REPEATED posts here about the game being doomed and subscriptions are down... Dooooooom! Of course I'm not saying everyone is that way and unless I am engaged myself I frequently answer questions. yeah even ones that "EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ALREADY"

If we eliminate every thread/post that's already been discussed here we are down to forum games, ads for upcoming events, Congratulations for making 50 level (for the first time or again), Fan Art and screenshots. LOL okay that lists a little short but it gets the idea across.. the idea of these forums was for players to help each other not to cop an attitude and say "Go look it up!" In the same amount of time it took you to post and bad mouth the question you could have simply answered it and the whole issue would have been resolved without people screaming at each other.

/e climbs down off soap box, smiles and moves on
  7. Let's start with rent:

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Rent

this shows the difference between rent now and rent before the change. I have a dear friend whose base is 24 by 28. Under the "old" system her SG had to pay 5 million prestige a month in rent.. now they pay 2400 or 2800. The savings are significant and rent is hardly an issue. I run or help run 5 SG between COH and COV and by myself I can make enough prestige in an hour or so to pay the rent each month.

The only thing you need to have a functional base is a few good members and time. Two months ago a friend and I started a brand new SG/base on COV. We team together a lot and I have more time to play so I frequently do SFs and the ITF. in less than 60 days we went from a basic 8 by 8 plot to an 8 by 12 with teleport to all 9 zones (3 tp chambers), an Infirmary with an AutoDoc, Our Control room houses a SuperComputer (which all by itself is 500,000 to buy and place), and a 3 by 4 workshop holding an IO salvage vault, IO crafting table, 4 enhancement bins, an inspiration collector and 2 base storage racks for extra IO salvage. Oh we also have a pillar of Ice and Flame in the control room for time travel. No it doesn't happen over night but it doesn't require 150 members playing daily to build a base of any size .. just time, some effort/fun, and patience.

Now it is true that things cost here but trust me its much better than before. With Wentworths and the Black Market in place anyone can have enough to fund their character with the basics.. DOs at level 17 and SOs at 22. Now if you want a character that is completely IOed that costs but even that is doable with time and patience. As for prestige things are better there too. Under the old system a character had a choice to make at around level 33 or 35 because you either stayed in SG mode and earned prestige for your group OR you turned that off to earn Influence or Infamy. Back then you didn't get both past that level and many members stopped earning their groups prestige beyond it because they needed the INF to fund their own characters. Now its possible to earn both all the way to 50. Also at the same time that rent changed many base items , including rooms, had their cost significantly decreased. As an example that same SuperComputer I mentioned before used to run 1 million prestige and now costs 500 thousand.. a 50% savings.

Don't begrudge those old established SGs with huge bases ,, they worked long and hard for what they have and at prices a lot worse than exist today. It's not hard at all for a few people to create a very nice SG base in relatively little time. No it doesn't happen with the wave of a wand you need to work for it a bit... but by work I mean PLAY the game so relax and start a base. If you put in some time you'll be suprised how fast things get accomplished.

    Plant/Rad?

Plant/Rad works very well. To give you some idea I have 2 level 50s and I like to try new power combos so the fact that I HAVE to means I enjoyed playing the first. Solos nicely and always welcome on a team since you can lock everything down and then debuff them. My second actually TFed her way up through the levels and needs only a SUCCESSUL STF and a KAHN to have all of them ecept the ones in the Shard.

Nor sure why you are having better luck with Plant/Storm but if you do decide to try a /Rad I think you'll enjoy it. Have fun! :-D
  9. The problem here guys is we are using COH's definition to categorize comic book characters that don't appear anywhere in the game and their creators really couldn't care less how COH or we define them. It's all relative to HOW you chose to define them.

COH uses a very strict narrow defination of how or where their main power came from and yes under that Batman is natural etc.. But I look at other factors as well so let's call my definitions the WENDY Definers

Batman's primary source of power is Natural, since he achieved it strictly from years of training mind and body but he does use a lot of Science and Technology to acheive his goals. So lets call him a NAT/TECH/SCI.

In my mind I don't care HOW your body mutated and allowed you to perform super human feats the fact is it did. Without that mutation your just a regular guy or girl.

Now Wolverine, by my defination is probably about the purist Mutant we've discussed. He, sort of like Synapse, had no desire to have the alterations done to his body through the use of science but he always had the power to heal himself and doesn't seem to age. I'd call him a MUT/SCI

The Fantastic 4 like I said I don't care how their bodies mutated they did. Reed Richards is still a scientist and uses that in battling Doc Doom and many others along with high Tech devices HE designs and builds. Let's call him, and to make everyone happy we will use COH standards (a bit), a SCI/MUT/TECH I usedf SCI first to make COH happy :-D

Iron man is clearly very much TECH but remember he also perfected the power source which keeps him alive and runs the thing.. Even in his ordinary life, if a Playboy Billionaire HAS an ordinary life, he's involved in both Technology and Scienece. I'd give him a TECH/SCI rating.

See anyone can devise a system to rate(?) or define super heroes and their powers and none are right or wrong. One last example to sort of clear up AND confuse the issue.

Spiderman .. Peter Parker is bitten by a radioactive spider and his body mutates giving him spider like super powers. Okay using COH definations he's SCIENCE right since his mutation was not natural but cause by the radiation and the spiders bite. BUT was it the radiation from the bite that caused his mutation? or did the spider mutate from the radiation and something in the venom or saliva that entered Parker's body when he was bitten cause those changes? I'd say it was the latter since if it was purely a reaction to radiation its a VERY interesting coincidence that his mutation happened to involve becoming spiderlike. So he became a mutant because of a spider's bite. Spider's, radioactive or not, bite people all the time so it could be argued that "technically" Parker's mutation is a natural event. It's NOT of course but he didn't fly off into space and through an accident become exposede to a massive dose of radiation or develop a serum that allows him to swing from the sides of building.. A bug bit him LOL (yes I am aware insect have 6 legs and spiders 8 and are two seperate things... they are both still icky bugs to a 6 year old girl LOL

Point is there really isn't one clear cut definition and the reality is we are talking about super heroes in a fantasy game and in comic books. COH defines their characters using a ONE origin system so, getting back to the Op's original question an SoA is a natural villain because their strength primarily comes form years of physical training. They use technology to accomplish thie goals but its that natural training that allows them to do so. When all else fails see NC SOFT rule #1: Its that way because its our game and we said so! :-D
  10. I could see us getting more temps. How about a "combat radio" that allows you to summon a Vanguard Wizard? Give it say 3 charges and make it like a lot of others where you can only use it once ever 30 minutes. We are members of Vanguard so why wouldn't we be able to call for backup?

Here's one I bet people would drool to get. We are in a CoOp zone where heroes and Villains work together how about a few temps allowing us to borrow powers? Like:

A Malta Sapper rifle good for say 10 uses

A WarWolfe Whistle like the one available in Striga.. okay maybe one 1-2 uses instead of five but they supposedly are working with us so see suggestion for combat radio.. BACKUP

Not sure Nemesis is willing to share anything but how about a Nemesis sniper rifle.. those things seem to have incredilbe range .. May 10 uses there

A Rikti Drone pet you can summon say 3 times. Okay so we captured some and reprogramed them!

We have a buff against PSI so how about a debuff that negates chance to hit of any PSI attacks. Holds, Immob, confuse, sleep etc Give that say 20 charges

Not particularly interested in the VG to RewardMerit exchange at least not at that rate. Not everyone does Rikti raids for a variety of reasons. I enjoy them but just like the invasions in other zones more than half the time the lag gets so bad I can hardly move and frequently my screen freezes and I crash. The Vanguard merits I have I earned doing missions and I've had some missions where they poured into the salvage tray and others where I completed an entire mission and had 6 more than when I started. Turning a thousand of those over to get 10 Reward Merits would turn me off completely

Rikti Os sound interesting. They have to be REALLY powerful to get most people to desire them over IOs which can offer all those set bonuses.

Instead of asking if you can play kickball with me when I'm playing chess, it makes a lot more sense to yell out, "Anyone playing kickball? I play a great second base!"

And it's a heck of a public playground when you can't tell whether I'm playing bridge, chess or kickball.
Ahhh Smersh I swear this is the last time I am posting here or even bothering to READ the thread. You little analogy makes no sense based on what you are griping about. Yeah someone on a public playground walking over to you while you playing Chess, or whatever, and asking if they can join your Kickball game is.. well not necessarily rude just completely stupid.

But that isn't what you original post is about. No one sent you a tell and said "Hey I have a level 60 Warrior-Mage on WOW can I join your team?" A player with the proper AT and powersets to function on a team in COH contacted you and asked if your team had any available slots and IF so could he or she join.

At this point I think it's obvious no matter what anyone says to try and make you see some reason you have your own mindset and while it is perfectly okay for you to recruit sending tells to players asking, perhaps even begging them, to join your team. Players attempting to contact you to try and join are somehow rude and evil. In a previous post responding to one me you state you ONLY contact players solo and supposedly in public areas but that doesn't mean they aren't occupied and could be just as annoyed by you as you are by them. Wentworths is a public area with tons of people buying or selling recipes and salvage. The Tailors shops are public areas with the same flow of players in an out as they design new costumes. For all you know a player, like myself since I am a badger, is soloing as they run from zone to zone picking up all the new exploration badges for the accoldaes and merit and has NO desire to be disturbed or to join YOUR team. They could be in Skyway or Perez street hunting Clockwork to get the last badge they need to earn the Freedom Phalanx accolade or in Striga hunting down the few remaining Warwolves and Vamprii they need for Slayer and Silver Bullet after a Moonfire TF so they can get the Atlas Medallion.

In other word you assume that because a player isn't on a 7 or 8 man team they aren't doing ANYTHING and should be more than happy to join you and your team. In MY opinion that's rude and assumes anything I may be doing couldn't possibly be as important or entertaining as joining you to run whatever mission you decide to do today. Okay I'm done since I know like all the other argumnents here it won't change a thing. Take the advice many have already given you and just HIDE so no one can ever send you a tell again asking to join your team again and live in your own little "private" space. Because THAT is the only one that really exists in this game.
  12. I think one of the problems, sort of, in COH is the limits origins place on defining a character. You can ONLY have one origin while in comic books and movies obviously this is not the case. let's use Batman since he's a favorite of mine. He's Natural since his fighting skills come simply from years of training. He's also Science since we have seen, in both comics and movies, him personally develop antidotes for the Jokers poisons. At the same time he's Tech since some of his gadgets come straight from the minds of his staff at Wayne Enterprise while others he's designed and built himself.

Okay the Fantastic 4 are obviously mostly mutant since exposure to radiation in space gave them thier powers but Reed Richards is still a Scientist (Science) and builds and designs any number of devises to aid the four in battling crime .. so he's also Tech!

Even Superman .. okay tecnically he's natural since his powers come strictly from the way his body is and how it reacts to our environment here on Earth. Unfortunately COH didn't chose to include an Alien origin but technically THAT is where he belongs. IF Krypton had never blown up would he be here on Earth battling crime or back home on Krypton working 9-5 and going home at night to the wife and kids? T

he X-men who are quite obviously mutants but have some Tech and Science mixed in. LOOK at that base they operate out of! Someone had to design and build all that and I seriously doubt Xavier called an Archetect and said "Hey listen me and the other Mutant here need a secret lair with tons of technology and science labs. Can you throw together some plans and lets us look them over. Oh and by the way most people are scared to death of us as is so I trust you won't tell anyone your doing this or where its being built." LOL

In game dual or even triple origins simply wasn't possible so all our characters got thrown into one or another based on whatever happened to be the predominant one.. and realistically since WE pick which the final decision is ours. The HEAT and VEAT characters are the only ones with a set origin and a Tank can be anything from Magical to Mutant and all the others in between.

You put an Arachnos Soldier in armour, he's not a hero either, he's still just a minion. But he's still natural! :P

And in City of, psionics users can be natural too. Mutants have only been around since the first nuclear tests, but psionics have been around for much longer (or so Sister Psyche says, meaning the Cimeroran Sybils, I'd guess).
I was just using her as an example since during the Origin of Power Arc hero side she is the one they send you to to explain Mutant powers. Although one could argue that just because in COH's universe the first "recorded" cases of mutants were after the atom was split who is to say mutants didn't exist long before that. Examples being the story used in Wolverine which shows him actually fighting in the Civil War and yet he looks the same more than a century later. Cancer is a form of cell mutation within the human body and that existed long before the atom was split so it's quite possible that all humans with Psi abilities get them from a form of mutation within their body. In ancient times anyone with any sort of special ability was concidered a mage or wizard even people that simply discovered new ways to use herbs and such to heal people. The reality was they were ancient scientists that through trial and error hit upon a combination that healed but to the common villager they had performed 'magic":

Of course its all speculation and as mentioned origin really isn't all that important in game aside from your particular character and what you want his or her background to be. The fun thing about the game, and comic book heroes in general, is you can create a story to explain just about anything. I have an Archery/Ice blaster that's an Elfmaiden. Her bio explains that while many consider them mythological creatures at one time Elves did live here on earth but they were aliens from another planet that got their magical ability through scientific implants. After a split in their ranks and a war between the Dark Elves and Light most left earth so they wouldn't contaminate the humans living there further. A few, like her, remained behind as guardians since many of the defeated Dark Elves disapeared and were still in hiding on earth. See very simple and completely explains a "magic elf" with a scientific origin.

Heheh I think MAYBE I can top that one. Got a Radio mission somewhere in the 20 levels to rescue a kidnap victim. This was shortly after AE began which may explain what I found. I forget what villain group I was "supposed" to face but when I entered the mission the Villains were are dressed in street clothes and their group.. KIDNAP VICTIMS! Not one of them was considered a valid target so I figured okay lets head upstairs and finr our real victim. I found her but she was guarded by more Kidnap victims and since I couldn't attack and defeat the mob I couldn't end the mission.

I went back down, left the mission and reset. SAME identical group as before. Unfortunatelt I had already dropped a mission a day or so earlier and did not feel like waiting since i was trying to get a Safeguard. I petitioned and I actually stumped/shocked the GM when he arrived. Prior to entering my mission I think he was sure I was crazy and then when he did. "WOW they must be some sort of bleedover from AE caused by a bug!" He autocompled the mission and BOTH of us submitted a bug report.

Hehehe Actually I think this is the new Villan group alluded to for "The Coming Storm". Hundred perhaps thousands of NPCs disguised as normal citizens with special powers. It completely explains how that woman in Atlas Park can hold on to the straps of her purse as the Hellion tries to steal it. Hey I've had "citizens" shove me aside cause I was in their way like I was nothing at all. It's all a Nemesis plot! They aren't really helpless citizens at all they are the next generation of Automotons and slowly the are taking control of the city posing as average citizens. Think about it. Eventually they have enough registered voters to elect their candidates for Mayor and City Council and simply outlaw Super Heroes working within the City Limits. "Hey you want to play Super Hero fine but we don't need your kind here in Paragon CIty. Take your act on down the road to Hartford. Cn or Boston, MA." At this point we either leave town or, being defenders of true and sworn to uphold the laws of the land, we arrest ourselves and send US to jail! LOL

I agree Eva The Storm Palace is amazing I took a little return visit there recently with my Ill/Emp in Stealth mode and just wandered around for fun. I think one of the biggest problems here is after you rescue her, she won't shut the **** up, and takes way too long to actually start following you. Quite often, by the time she shuts up, the first ambush is there and pounding on you and your team. And heaven help you if you are at the right level for Spectrals to spawn in CoT missions... If she locks onto one and it then ooooooOOOOOOOOOoooooooos away, it is most likely "Game over, man!"
Not sure about Lady Grey I have never had a problem with her. Now I did post my Opinion on Lady J, Fusionette and Aarons previously in another thread. They are all three an advance view of Going Rogue. Prior to arriving here in Paragon City they had all been minons of a Thugs MM. Specifically they were arsonists and have never quite outgrown the need to fire off an attack and then rush forward to see just how much damage they did. LOL

All are annoying but the last time I did the mission with Aaron if I could I'd have stopped battling Nemesis and killed the maniac myself. I somehow managed to get him to the final room in the underground caves and had a couple diplomats and 2 Fake Nemesis to battle. I carefully attacked the first group and by the time I finished them off I saw Aaron being chased by BOTH fakes as he headed toward the other mob holding the final hostage. In short he had aggroed the entire room! /e Moans and rolls eyes

I launched into the two fakes convinced at this point I was doomed to a mission failure but may as well get as much XP as possible before that happened. I was on my Crab Spider and summoned all my minions and just kept firing until there was nothing left to shoot. SOMEHOW amazingly Aarons managed to survive with a sliver of red health bar left. Hmmmm seriously considers the idea of going to Mission Archetect and creating a story using Aarons, Fusionette and Lady Jane as villains JUST so I can beat the crap out of them for all the annoying behavior they have subjected me to in the past... /e rushes off to AE building to plot and scheme LOL

Your right about her being long winded but she has nothing on Inferni and Galacia in the third mission of the LGTF. Once we rescue those two I usually take a Bio break, run outside for a quick smoke and grab a drink from the fridge on the way back to my computer and they MAY be done talking. I guess after years of captivity with the Rikti seeing another human being to "chat" with is far more important than actually being rescued. hehehehe

I've not had a problem keeping her alive solo or on small-medium teams. Large teams increase the chances of someone not leaving her spawn alive and thus taking her off the leash. At that point, all bets are off
/signed LOL I have used the tactic countless times to solo that mission with excellent results. In some cases, with my tanks, I have even been able to lure the mob protecting her away and defeated them. At that point she's technically rescued and you get a direction for where the box is located but until you get close to her she doesn't move and no ambush spawns. Then I just clear a nice path all the way to mission end and the worst I have to do is stand there listening to her babble before she'll actually follow me to the end.

I've seen another tactic that works well when teaming. We freed her but instead of moving forward we stood fast and waited on the eventual ambushes. Now unlike many mission she spawn five not three, just to continue to annoy you I suppose, but once those were all taken out we were able to simply leave the one team member she'd attached herself to at that spot and the rest of us cleared the way to the end of the mission. Once the path was clear the person watching her led her to the box and .. Mission complete. That one takes a little longer since the ambushes come from deep within the caves but if your team has the time and likes the idea of extra XP and INF it works great.

It's best not to think too much about such things. It's just a comic book after all.
Very true IF I recall correctly Freedom Corp is international and has some ties and funding with NATO. This comes from the Paragon Wiki information of them:

    Quote:
The strength of their ideological conviction, coupled with the advanced training and munitions provided by NATO, render the Longbow soldiers a force to be reckoned with
As mentioned by others here the fact that Lord Recluse ceased control of Arachnos and took control of the Rogue Isles doesn't mean his "government" is officially recognized as a nation by ANY other country. Nerva aside Longbow has no premanent base anywhere else in the Isles and their presence in other zones is usually explained through the use of submarines or small covert bases established to gain information or launch special missions. In a sense they are mercenaries but they consider themselves at war with Arachnos and most countries around the world have Special Forces that conduct covert ops behind enemy lines and on enemy soil during a war. To emphasis the fact that the Isles probably are not recognized as a nation, and as mention here in other posts, Recluse has established military bases in Faultline and Siren's Call and is even engaged in open warfare in Siren's Call with Longbow. I don't see a single US military member in either of these locations and seriously doubt the US Government wouldn't respond with military if a nation covertly established a base and began attacking us.

To some extent, Going Rogue or not, all super heroes are vigilantes. With or without government backing they are not Police Officers and do what they do for whatever reason they personally have for seeking justice. In the comics characters like Batman spend as much time hiding from corrupt law enforcement as they do helping the "good" cops. While Superman would never DREAM of roughing up a villain that wasn't really commiting any crime in order to get information Batman has no problem dangling them from rooftops and threatening to let go unless they talk. Spiderman has always had mixed reviews with most Police loving when he shows to save the day and at the same time the very newspaper he works at as Peter Parker continuously condemns him as a vigilante and a criminal. Of course Anti-Heroes like the Punisher have no problem at all torturing villains to get any information they need.

I guess your personal view on what makes a Hero an Hero or a vigilante would be based on what you ideals for them are. Personally I always found Superman to be a Boy Scout. I prefer my heroes with more of an Edge and Batman was always a favorite. Operating just outside the system and using whatever means necessary to get the job done and stop whatever super villain he was after.

Now with all that said lets step back and have a reality check. Its a game and a fantasy one where we can fly and have super powers. If it was based on reality explain why the RIKTI invaded earth intent or either destoying or enslaving all of mankind but a Mothership filled with them still operates in the RWZ and the only military forces their are Vangaurd? Vanguard is a UN based organization of Superheroes so where exactly are the US Air Force and the Marines? LOL Somehow I doubt US taxpayers would be happy with a President and Congress that took the stance .. "Yes we have Alien invaders on US soil but the United Nations has their Vanguard troops working on the situation so we are going to just let them handle things."

    Scenic Places

Oh I love all three of those spots. I also like the tiny little floating "Islands" that surround Ouroboros. They are a lot like what you see in the Shard but with waterfalls and tiny pools. Very pretty and a cool place to just sit and relax after a busy day battling evil.. or doing it. :-D
  20. Hello from all of us at COX's Marketing division. Players on the Virtue server may have noticed some slight problems with server crashes. While we acknowledge that such incidents due occur from time to time there is nothing wrong with the game. This has been an experiment designed to improve the quality of life for our customers. By forcibly crashing it the players of the Virtue server were give the unique opportunity to:

Get up and go to the bathroom without the need to type. BIO Break BRB

Look out the window and determine if its day or night Side note: IF its dark outside THAT'S night time!

Rediscover that they live with other people. "Hey I have kids?" or "Gee mom and dad seems like ages since I saw you last!"

Check RL email and phone messages. "Wow Grandma called like 10 times! Mom did we have an Uncle Fred ??? cause I guess he died last week."

Run to the store for more soda and chips. "Dude don't forget to get dip like last time. You know I need dip to really enjoy my chips man."

Sneak outside for a smoke without annoying 7 other people wondering just how LONG it takes to smoke ONE cigarette.

Order a Pizza and use the average downtime of around 30 minutes as a timer to see if you can get the pizza for free.

Clean the cat's litter box. "So that's what that horrible stink was?'

The list goes on and on but you see the idea. These short period of downtime allow you, our loyal customers, to reconnect with reality. The experiment has been deemed a success and we are proud to announce that beginning next week, after normal server maintenance, all other COH/V servers will begin utilizing this same service. PLEASE don't thank us it's our job to make sure your happy. Have a nice day.

Hehehe In related news the next experiment will be conducted on Freedom. All contacts will offer a mission and the following advice. "Have you spent time off line with your family and friends lately? Remember the fun you used to have going out to see a movie? When exactly was the last time you ate a meal at the dining room table?"
  21. heheh Okay I had just completed a radio mission and got a notice that I had earned a badge. I opened the recent badge window and to my suprise you can now get the Fortunata Seer Gladiator Badge by completing an SF/Flashback mission at leve; 40-45 without using inspirations! Wow who knew? After closing and reopening several times it corrected itself but NOT before I took this as proof. LOL

  22. I don't think i I am ever quite done with any of my babies LOL There are some I spend more time with and I am still trying out new powersets and creating new ones but every character I own, 50s included, is still dayjobbing for badges and accolades. With GR coing soon I already have plans to cross characters over and let them badge and play the other side. The Incarnate system that's down the road pretty much ensures all my 50s will be out running around again soon. I've still got some I plan to Dual build so they have one for solo and one for teaming. Ummm they are done when you pry my mouse from my cold dead fingers? LOL

Sadly I wonder if it will ever happen. People are screaming for some sort of base storage for recipes and NC Soft's stand seems to be No way you get to keep what you can carry. I wonder if they'd adopt the same standard to enhancements... "Heaven forbid we let them carry more they wouldn't need to stop playing to go to the store and sell what they can't use or the base to store them as often. Players would hit 50 faster and then... STOP playing the game!" [brief dramatic pause] Oh wait Cryptic and Stateman are gone sorry old school mentality .. I think I just flashbacked.

I think this would be great but I do wonder what their stance on it would be. THEY sure won't let us keep any more recipes. Keeping the number we get to save during a respec seems fine to me. Any respec I do I use everything I still can and generally only keep ones I think MAY be worth something at WW. I have never respec'd a character close to 50 so I can't imagine I'd be losing a whole lot just taking whatever value they place on lower level IOs I may have slotted and now can't use. IO prices drop dramatically below about 35-40 level anyway. I always figured I may as well sell it back to NC Soft as sell it for next to nothing at WW. Guess I could take them back to base and store them for other characters or SG members.

No Impish Mystic Fortunes powers do last quite a while I never timed it but 20 minutes does sound reasonable. I have had someone hit me with one at the mission entrance and it was still active when we completed it and headed into the next Mission.

So are there previews with this weeks Drive By Buff rant? Or does the film just start rolling? "Hey I asked for extra butter on my popcorn!" /e summons Phantasm and send it to snackbar to request more butter.
  25. I have a BS/SD Scrapper myself named Kala of the Valkyrie. I'm not a huge number cruncher so I couldn't say if its better or worse than any other powerset but I wanted to create a Shieldmaiden and it fit. She solos very nicely and I have never been unhappy with her ability to get the job done. Hey someone said it once on another thread like this ANY powerset combination works with a Scrapper cause.. Its a Scrapper! Play what you like and have fun. :-D
