  1. Yeah I was going to say the wait to level 30 is not really a huge issue s far as Cimerora is concerned since it is one zone that still has a level requirement and you are not getting in until level 35.

My concern/issue is I can start the Midnighter arc hero side as early as level 10 and have acquired it on numerous characters as low as level 11 or 12 while I have to wait until l;evel 30 to enter the club with my villains. Again this isn't a huge issue as far as doin an ITF or just getting into Cimerora but several Day Job Accolades revolve around getting the badge for the day job in the Midnighter's club and heroes can start earning those a lot earlier than villains do to the present set up.
  2. yes I ran into the same problem with my Rogue on DR. Kahn. Everything was fine until the final mission (of course while we were TRYING to battle Reishmann). After several instances where the ILL/EMP's Phatasm and Phantom Army, along with her Shivan, attacked and defeated us (there were 3 rogues on the team) we agreed to go petless. Even then we actually had to position ourselves for the debuffs were only affecting the AV and not almost half the team. It took us a while but we finally did win the battle and complete the task force. This is the first I have heard of the bug for a while so I guess they haven't QUITE fixed it yet.

Not quite as bad on Virtue but early tonight there was actually a lengthy discussion on the latest exploit on the TASK FORCE global channel. And of course there is always someone looking for or forming an AE team in Atlas(Blue side) or Cap (Red side). I wouldn't say its constant but often enough that it is noticeable.

However, the reason is because they are actually really good buffs, and giving them the ability to self-apply would be fairly game-breaking.

Take a Force Field Defender, for instance. Deflection and Insulation shield both give 15% Defense base, and Dispersion Bubble adds another 10% to that. 25% * 1.56 = 39% Defense to most types of damage. An SR Scrapper, on the other hand, gets only 30.47% Defense to the positional types. However, the scrapper can't also buff up everyone else on the team to those same levels.

If you're a soloer, then yes, these sets aren't that attractive. They're not meant to be. However, on a team, they can become huge.
Aett Thorn is absolutely correct. The main idea behind Buff Sets is to make you attractive and a huge asset to a team. If you want to solo get away from Buff sets and go with ones that Debuff.. RAD or DM.. you still get a heal and rez which can come in handy on a team but the primary focus is making it easier to take down the villains in front of you... Always popular on teams and still just as effective if you are solo.
  5. Sort of depends on which Accolade you are going after...

Archmage Badge .. COT are everywhere so it depends on if you want XP or just a quick way to get 200 Mages. You'll find plenty of them (low level) in Perez Park or the Hollows. Tsoo fade out after about level 25 or so .. So look for them in Talos As for the Carnival of Shadows your best bet may be to find a mission (radio or whetever) with them in it and get an 8 man team together and farm the summoned illusionists.. make sure you don't defeat the Master Illusionist and they will just keep spawning new batches

Conspiracy Theorist... Badge You will find plenty of Paragon Protectors in Eden or on a number of the floating islands that make up the Shadow Shard. The Manticore TF is also a good source for them

Freedom Phalanx Reserve Member Badge ....Clockwork are easy.. do either the Posi TFs (1 and/or 2) or just do a Snyapse and you'll have all you need long before the Task Force is over. Freakshow Tanks can be found in Terra Volta and Crey's Folly. Its also real easy to get most if not all of them doing the Sister Psyche TF

Geas of the Kind Ones Badge everything you need is in Croatoa. The hardest to get is the Ghosts since there are only 2 missions that have any and they only appear at night (the sun sets about every 30 minutes). Finding Sally may prove tougher than defeating 333 of most of the other villains and Cabal are pretty easy to get by doing the Katy Hannon TF which you need for the accolade anyway.

Portal Jockey Badge run Maria's arc either in PI or through flashback to get all the Praetorians required

Received the Atlas Medallion Badge Vamprii and Warwolves are all over the place on Striga and if you run the Moonfire TF you'll get a good start on obtaining 100 of each.. cuts down on the hunting.. By the way Vamprii only appear at night on Striga (again the sun sets about every 30 minutes)

Vanguard Badge Lost Bosses appear quite regularly in Terra Volta .. you'll find plenty in the trench that leads from the entrance to the Reactor. Rikti Monkeys are easy enough.. head to the RWZ or Monkey Island in PI

Watchman Badge just watch for the Rikti raids and keep hammering away until you get all three badges
  6. Wicked_Wendy

    Fun?

I'll just add my two cents and reaffirm the advice you have already gotten. Find out the names of the global channels your server has that promote teams. On Viture we have Virtue TF (devoted to forming and running task forces, strike forces and trials), Virtue LFT Alpha (helps anyone looking for a team doing anything.. including TFs, SFs, and trials) and Virtuebadges2009 (a channel for badgers mainly but also a good source for teams since a LOT of badges revolve around Task Forces, Trials or defeating X number of a certain enemy group).

The teens are a bit tedious.. you don't have a lot of powers yet, don't have a permanent travel power until 14, and until Issue 19 comes out you seem to run out of end constantly and find yourself resting between almost every other mob (depending on the character's AT and powers) but if you get on a good team and even just run radio or newspapers missions the levels fly by quickly and you can be in your 20s. Do a few of the early Task forces like Positron 1 + 2 or Synapse and you can really level quickly as well. Oh and don't forget these days everyone is out there running tip missions for the rewards so watch for Hero. Vigilante, Rogue or Villain tip teams advertising in broadcast. Sure you can only earn 5 tips mission credits a day but there is nothing saying yo can't run more than that and on an 8 man team level quicker. Okay so you are NOT a 20 level and aren't supposed to do tips missions but with Super Side Kick no 20 level tip team would balk at inviting a 12 level along to pad the team and increase the XP earned while theyrk toward tip rewards.

I have taken a character from level 1 to level 15 and beyond in as litlle as one day and if you have the time there is nothing that says you can't make level 20 in one day either if you find a few good teams. Hit level 22 and you get access to your Single Origin Enhancers and suddenly your character REALLY gets stronger. From there start working on IOS and adding more powers.. About level 20 the stories arcs get better and the game gets much more interesting.

Welcome to the game and hope you come to enjoy it as much as i have the past 5 years :-D
  7. About the only characters I have ever had more than one travel (related) powers on were my Taxibots. I always use fly to get around but had recall friend for tp purposes. Now I have been on Beta and done some respecs.... I took things like hasten (to increase my attack rates) and depending on the character a few other powers I skipped that only required one or two slots enhanced to be effective.

If SJ fits your play style Sam.. Why not? I usually just kick on Ninja run if I need to leap any good distance and if that doesn't do the trick I click FLY.

The good news is.. from what I saw .. there was no significant difference between Stamina with three enhancers as a pool power and now as an inherent. As for the other I never slotted them with more than one ennhancer to begin with so I am getting the same benefits without have to waste power selections and on some of the lower level characters I have on test they now have powers faster (since I am not wasting picks between 15 and 21 just to get stamina and slot it. It may take a bit longer to get them slotted properly but as I mentioned to someone my attacks may not be as strong but I now have 2-3 more of them so I am still doing good damage and I am not running out of end below 20 nearly as much. :-D
  8. I have no idea if they will change their mind when things go live but I have seen quite a few players working on Alpha slots that never bothered with a respec. Checking their power lists still showed Swift, Health and Stamina so I guess if they were happy with their build as is why bother?

I have two 50s on Beta and gave both a respec. I like the added advantage of powers sooner but, as I mentioned, some may never even bother with it. Hey it can be a bit time consuming with a 50 level and then suddenly you find you character in need of more or even some different IOs so its back to Wentworths/Black Market to start purchasing recipes and salvage.. and I have 26 Fifty levels on live not all of which will see a respec or an Alpha Slot for a while. LOL
  9. For me the answer is simple I'd go with my Crab Spider and get her the Cardiac Radial Boost. I have respec'd her on test and gone this route... Huge increase in END and another 20% increase in defenses that were already good has made her a nightmare for most things that come her way. With the respec I was able to add even more attacks and now have 3 different pets I can summon so I always have at least One available and have even managed to work it so all three were available when we hit the AV at the end on a Task Force.
  10. My Badger, Operative Tessa, will be first in line to try all the new content since she's been on test running through it already. Many, many explorations badges and new accolades to acquire in Praetoria, Paragon City and the Rogue Isles. Then off to run multiple ITFs and LGTFs until she has her uncommon. during down times, or when i simply can't run another back to back to back TF I will revisit Praetoria and grab all the defeat badges and the ones for the zone events and then.. back to Day jobbing until the Winter Event and the next batch of badges she doesn't have ...... Y E T :-D
  11. I arrived in December of 2005 and immediately was presented with a Jingle Jet. My Mom always gives me cash and just let's me buy what I want for Christmas and I was outshopping for presents when I spied COV. I decided that was MY christmas gift from her and immediately threw it into my cart. I have been hooked ever since.

LOL I can still recall how green I was back then... As I leveled my first villain I foudn myself at 14 and could not see why ANYONE would waste a power selection on travel when they gave us all that neat jet. Of course a week or less later the jet disappeared and I quickly discovered the next lesson I needed .. at level 24 you CAN do a trial and respec your character. I think I finally got Fly at 18 and then as I kept talking to my brand new SG mates about why I was always out of end and they were not I discovered Stamina.

My how times have changed. I think it took all of one or two quick questions a fast forum check and I had a handle of the Incarnate System. Now I am one of the ones taking people aside and saying quietly (in Tells) "You really don't want to take that team with 5 unslotted Heroes and try to do Apex. Run some ITFs, LGTFs, Kahn TFs or whatever. Get yourself some shards and craft!"

Oh, agree on alpha's being required. Can you tell if a teammate has them? Look at their power list?

    Can you sell alpha enhancements?

Yes you can tell. Click on the team member's name, bring up his profile and the very bottom entry under the listing of his powers should be his Alpha slot. If there is nothing there, an it is marked as Alpha, then that person has not slotted yet.

No you can sell them or the shards. You can't trade them and as far as I know the only element you can BUY is the Gr'ai Matter once every 18 hours by using 150 Vanguard Merits on the Vanguard Crafting tables in their base. Shards, elements and the enhancemenst they create belong solely to YOU and you are the only one that can use them. Think about it .. supposedly your achieving the same level of power as Statesman or Recluse. Does a near god sell away his immortality? LOL

You are STILL a 50 level and while you'd earn Influence for defeating a level 54 it would be at the normal rate associated with a 50 defeating a 54 NOT a 46 level. You haven't lost any levels your just debuffed to the point where your attacks react like you are 4 levels lower. SO no doing a Tin Mage or Apex unslotted will not add to your fortune only your frustration as you hit nothing and take damage like a one level in PI. Sorry LOL
  14. Will there ever be an absolute need for a TANK? NO Then again will there be an absolute need for a Kin or a Rad? NO Put together a good 8 man team where everyone knows how to play and knows how to play their character and just about any combination can be successful. In the past few days on Beta I have done a lot of Task Forces as I got famiiar with the Incarnate System. I did an ITF with a team that had no Brute and no Tank and we rolled through the missions killing everything to maximize the shard drop. When we got to Romulus in the final mission we used a very complex strategy ... We rushed him and just kept dealing damage until he was done and we had a mission complete.

That said are there instances where having a good tank around definately makes life easy? Heck Yeah. I did the Tin Man TF on a team with three tanks. If you are not familiar with it in mission one we face Director 11, a Malta AV, in the final battle. It took a little experimenting but eventually we had one Tank holding the AV's attention, One containing the waves of Clockwork that kept spawning, while the third kept an eye out for anything else and several of us directed our fire through him. On the other hand on the Apex TF a Tank comes in handy on mission one but mission two is decidedly melee unfriendly.. I don't care if your a Tank, a Brute or a Scrapper you better not try to stand in one place and just pound on Battle Maiden or your asking for multiple trips to the hospital. Trust me I did it with my tanker I know from PAINFUL experience LOL

I have yet to be on one but I know there are Tanks that went Vigilante and even totally switched to Villain. I am betting they come in quite handy on the Lord Recluse SF when you have to fce all those Heroes in one spot in the final mission. A Brute can tank very well but is still not quite as good at aggro unless they have their build designed around it and have purples in slots. A Scrapper, some scrapers, can tank a bit but their ability to taunt and hold aggro will never hold up against what a tank can do. And I'm not sure where you get the idea that a Tank is not a good damage dealer. MY WP/DB Tank has her Alpha slotted for damage and I was curious and added up the average damage totals. By running through my available attacks ONCE I can do over 1200 HP of damage. That is without repeating any one attack and doesn't even add in what I can do with temp powers like Sands of Mu (one of my Vet rewards). My SD/SS Tanker will Shield charge into a mob, hit Foot Stomp and then start cleaning up anyhing that isn't aleady dead. And yeah I did slot both of those to maximize their damage output. Okay so a lot of Brutes and Scrappers can do better.. Big Deal! If your planning to team with your tank no one expects ANYONE to do all the damage while they stand there and watch. As long as your doing your share and helping the squishies by holding aggro and keeping +2 Bosses out of their face.. Your contributing and have nothing to feel bad about. Relax and enjoy playing whatever AT you happen to have logged on.

Okay here is the point the Desmodos is trying to make.. Run a Lady Grey TF and you will be awarded a Hero 1 DNA sample at the end in addition to whatever shards you earn. Run and ITF and you will get an Ancient Nictus Fragment plus whatever shards you earn. You now have X number of shards plus 2 of the three elements needed to craft a Cardiac Boost. IF you have 150 Vanguard Merits you can then use them to buy the third a Gr'ai Matter and without using ANY of your shards you just crafted the Cardiac Boost. If not after running those two TFs you have enough shards to build a Gr'ai Matter and you are slotted.

Take note: Speed runs on these TFs defeat the purpose since the more minons, lieutenants, bosses, EBs and AVs you defeat the better chance you have of getting shards. I ran an ITF that was KILL ALL and in 1:40 minutes we finished and I left with 11 shards.. That's enough to craft 2 common elements with three more left over. That same day I did a LGFT and while we skipped some mobs I emerged with 8 more shards. In one day, and in about 3 hours of game time I had created Muscular Boost and a Muscualr Radial Boost on my Tanker. So I was not only slotted but had already reached the second level. And that was without using Vanguard merits to purchase anything.

I strongly recommend NOT trying an Apex or Tin Mage TF without your Alpha slotted. As mentioned you will basically be trying to battle with an 8 level disadvantage. You'll be lucky if any attack you have hits and when it does the damage will be very minor. From chat I have seen in Beta many players are already forming the opinion that if they are team leaders they won't allow anyone on their team if it not slotted and if they aren't the leader they won't join a team that has anyone on board that isn't slotted. So if you don't want to stand around for an hour trying to recruit only to flail away helplessly at level 54s attacking you.. SLOT your Alpha before you try the TF. :-D
  16. I'd have to say the biggest annoyance for me is .. they won't get off my butt! LOL I can't even count how many times I have arrived at the door to a mission and had to spend time trying to twist around to actually click the door because I have 6 demons crammed up against me.

Second would definately be the Thug's arsonist. I can almost count on having to replace him about every other mob. I joked here a whiule back and said that Fushionette, General Aarons and Lady Jane were actually a preview of Going Rogue because they obviously were former Mastermind minions.. they just can't help but rush forward to see what's going on, manage to get themselves killed more than half the time and the reslut is MISSION FAILED! :-D

Oh well I love playing my MMs so I am more than willing to put up with it. The Damage output, added buffs, holds ect that various minon sets offer more than makes up for the minor annoyances
  17. Villain side: Let us battle something beside snakes. There are badges available for Hellions and Skull, both of which disappear after about level 19, but when you arrive in Mercy aside from a couple missions against Arachnos and Longbow all we see are snakes, snakes and more snakes.

Hero side: revamp and actually give us a few story arcs like they did in Mercy. Okay they aren't long and they don't give many reward merits but at least they are arcs and tell a story not just give us some randon missions to get us from level 2 to 5. The same should be considered at slightly higher levels... there aren't very many actual story arcs even at level 10.

Praetoria: Love the arcs but they could add in some sort of newspaper/radio mission system to give those that start there the ability to get a Raptor Pack and Jump Pack without having to beg players to let that exemplar down to run the Atlas and Kings row Safeguard or mayhem after they arrive in COH/COV after level 20. Sure by level 20 most players have a permanent travel power anyway but I have 50 levels still using their raptor pack during things like Hamidon raids to save on End.

Halloween is a multinational holiday that is celebrated in many countries of the world, from Latin America, to North America, and across to Europe. It's also one of the oldest known holidays

Christmas is another multinational holiday celebrated on every continent as it spread across the globe.

The same is true about Valentine's Day and how widespread it is celebrated across the world.

Thanksgiving is an American holiday. Furthermore the countries that do have their own version of Thanksgiving:

    1. Don't celebrate it in November and
    2. Don't celebrate the first successful harvest on American soil.

It only common sense that if the game is going to have any holiday events it will be the ones that appeal to as many of their customers as possible and are celebrated at the same time everywhere.
Yep Forbin pretty much says it all. Plus keep in mind while the events occur around those holidays NC Soft is always very careful to be PC (Ploically Correct). The event in December is never referred to as "The Christmas Event" its the Winter Event. The Valentine's Day event is offically referred to as The SPRING Event and I guess since Halloween is not really associated with any poarticular Religous group or nationality the lawyers have no issue with just calling that "The Halloween Event".

We have players from all around the globe and a number of severs in Europe so setting an event that targets a specific US holiday was probably ruled out long ago. There is also the fact that it would create a situation where you'd have back to back to back events from October to December. Then after a short break in January a forth followed by absolutely nothing until October rolled around again. I have always wondered why they didn't come up with some sort of summer event to round out the seasons:

    Halloween = Fall Event

Winter event (Xmas) = Winter ((DUH))

Valentine's event = Spring (although a tad early in February)

So where is our summer event? When all the College and High School aged players are off from classes and have more time to play. Of course the Forth of July aside there really is no holiday to base an event on and since the 4th is definately a US holliday.. that sort of explains why they don't use that! Maybe we could get another addition to Pocket D.. a Summer time beach area and run some Summer Event missions against the Coralax? :-D
  19. LOL Oh my I can imagine how that felt. So far I have been lucky .. shortly after I purchased that pack someone on the Virtue TF global channel related an incident that occurred while they were on a TF and facing the end game AV. They hit the mutation and devolved. Since then I have tried to be VERY careful to only use the power when I am in a completely safe environment. Of course this has forced me to either 1) not use it at all if I ran into an AV/EB and hadn't already activated it or.. 2) only activate it at the entrance of a mission before venturing inside.

By the way.. option TWO has backfired on me at least once. I entered a mission, hit secondary mutation, devolved into a Rikti monkey, and THEN the ambush that attacks you at the door arrived! Luckily I was on my MM and while my pets kept the ambush busy I was able to escape out the door to wait for the effects to wear off. :-D
  20. I'll hit 60 months in December. I stay for the fun and my friends. There is always something new to enjoy and the promise of something new on the horizon. Issue 18 was barely out and I was already panting to have them release 19.

I think one of the biggest things that has kept me here is the fact that they listen to US and give us what we ask for (okay so there are some that would disagree.. PvPers, AE farmers, etc). But with Issue 19 due out soon once again we are getting something that has been bouncing around these forums for a LONG time .. Stamina at level 2 and without wasting a power selection. The other improvements that are a direct result of players comments include Power customization, Revamping the Positron Task Force, and a host of costume and power changes so long I am not even going to TRY to list them all here.

With almost 5 years in I still haven't created and played every single power set for every AT and they keep adding more. So while it may be the "same" game it certainly is not the same game I bought and loaded on my aging, and long gone computer, back in December of 2005. As long as they comtinue to let the game evolve I see no reason not to stick around and keep having fun with all the friends I have made here. :-D

    Empathy Opinions

The main points that bothered me where:

    1) Only a looser takes Absorb Pain
    2) Only a looser puts Healing Aura on auto

I've only created one defender with empathy and I do both of these things. I did a bit of research and when I started this character I decided that she would focus on her primary. The only attack she has is the one that I had no choice in taking. She is completely useless except for her ability to keep everyone else alive and moving.

Healing Aura on auto: I'm usually quite busy with other things to want to worry about manually using this power. For example, I am busy cycling through each of my team mates and using Clear Mind on them. I can usually keep Clear Mind doubled up on every member of the team, the only one that ever gets mezzed is my character.

The same holds true for fortitude, which I usually reserve for scrappers. I have it now so that I can keep this on at least one team mate continuously and almost on two continuously.

Having Healing Aura on auto allows me to concentrate on those that need the extra healing and not just the buffing (Heal Other, Absorb Pain, Resurrect)

Absorb Pain: lets face it, sometimes a team mate will suddenly go from full heath to near face plant before you can react. Yes, I've taken this but I try not to use it except in emergencies.

The only thing I agreed with in the conversation was not running after team mates that separate from the group. I stay with the main group and place myself so that my auras cover as much of the group as possible. If someone decides to run off in a different direction I'm not going to leave the main group vulnerable to pull one characters bacon out of the fire.

So, am I doing this wrong? Am I really a looser because I take Absorb Pain and put Healing Aura on auto?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking absob pain.. that being said I don't have it on most of my empaths. LOL Heal Others does a tremendous job of solo healing and recharges quickly and, JUST MY OWN FEELINGS BUT..., I didnt take Absob Pain because anything that describes its process of operating by saying "uses some of MY hit points to heal others" I tend to avoid. Nothing wrong with it but I always felt.. "If I use MY Hit points to heal you and then I die because of it.. who is left to heal everyone else after i am down? LOL

Putting you Healing Aura on Auto is okay but it has developed the reputation of being a Noob tactic or one used by "bad empaths" only. That reputation sadly was earned as a lot of players that never should have ever rolled an empath to begin with would get inside a mission, put Healing Aura on Auto, and do absolutely nothing else but trail along behind the team glowing green. Realistically whle its not a horrible thing as long as you are doing other things to help the team it's not necessary. If the team is all at full health all you are doing is wasting end you could be using to provide team mates with Fort, Clear mind, or firing off your attacks to add to the damage. It's your character so play the way you like but I personally use Heal Other to bring back those that need it badly and fire off my aura when the team is in mid combat and its better to keep people at 100% health with a quick green glow than to wait and have to try and get to them before they face plant cause they are in the red.

Fort is best used.. however you see fit. It does take some time to recharge and I have 2 recharge enhancements in mine and it still takes about 31 or 32 seconds. I generally start with Scrappers since they are in direct melle contact and have less HP than a tank, I'll do Blasters next, High damage but little defense so every little bit helps, and then depending on the powersets involved I'll do the tank or move to the Defenders and Controllers. It's not possible to keep an entire 8 man team buffed so I do what I can and then skip back to the Scrappers and start over.

As long as you do the best you can to help the team very few players with criticize you. The big thing that people hated about those empaths with healing aura on auto was they weren't doing anything else most of the time. I even played on a team where the leader kicked the Empath Defender because he was trailing along behind the team while we battled mob after mob and was so far back that the only person he was healing was himself. He never fired off a single attack, never used Fort of CM once (and had both) and the one thing he was using wasn't helping anyone but himself. Basically he was letting us earn him XP while he watched.. As long as you aren't doing THAT.. no one is going to complain. Remember it is YOUR build so if you want Absorb Pain in it for emergencies and your not hurting yourself or your team by having it.. then your fine. If someone is telling you HOW to build your character and complaining about your build .. maybe you don't want to team with them anyway. I tell folks all the time there are a thousand ways to play this game and as long as your not hurting anyone else or breaking any TOS rules none of them are wrong. :-D
  22. I don't know that I NEED it as much as just enjoy knowing it is there Sam. When new content comes out like we just got with Issue 18 and Praetoria I enjoy taking the time to read carefully through the text describing each mission so I get a feel for the story behind why I need to battle whatever. But when I am doing older content that I have been through with ??? (X number) of my alts I tend to simply click contact, get mission up and head off to get a mission complete and move on. I'm not a fanatic and have to read and memorize the details of the background story the Devs provide for every contact and trainer in game but occasionally when I have been playing steadily for a while and need a short break I enjoy pulling one of those up and seeing just what the story is behind why a particular contact is standing there giving me jobs to perform. Some one else mentioned it.. It's better to have that stuff and simply chose to ignore it if its not something you care for than to not have any of it and lose players, and potential team mates, because no one bothered to add ANY details at all.

As for scavenger hunts .. In particular exploration badges and history plaques I tend to get what I need and what helps me on all but my designated badgers. Exploration badges = a certain amount of XP and at least 13 zones (hero side) and 7 zones (villain) offer up accolades and 5 merits each for getting all the badges in zone. The XP is minor but if you go Rogue or Vigilante thats 20 zones X 5 merits = 100 reward merits for doing nothing but flying around and landing in the right spots. History badges.. Badgers aside I get what i NEED for the accolades that actually add powers or END or HP.
  23. I, for one, welcome our Rikti Overlords and look forward to serving them.. Okay so I look forward to kicking alien BUTT. LOL

So two weekend of ToT and Zombies followed immediately by a weekend of drop ships, A bombs and hordes. TFers take note.. running a Numina may NOT be a great idea that weekend and those doing Synapse.. Rikti invasions will eliminate that Babbage spawn in Skyway right before you battle the Clockwork King. ;-(

Now "FALL" historically runs out no later than December 20th or 21st and we have been promised I-19 in the

SIX waves? See now I am jealous Forbin. When I discovered the "You know what" attacking I wanted the defeat badge. I never got more than five 3 man spawns on any solo mission. I have run a few of them on teams and its sort of hard to judge how many there were mainly because with that many we got lieutenants and bosses along with minions and of course those take the place of several minions.

Anyway I am enjoying the mission. I do have a question though. I helped Beta test Preatoria and have taken a few characters through there since it went live. We do see Longbow and Arachnos during contact missions but I don't recall a single mission involving Circle of Thorns. Supposedly there is almost no magic in Praetoria and since canon usually explains their presence in a zone as them searching for new magic they can steal (which is how they explain them showing up in the Shadow Shard).. Exactly why are they suddenly setting up shop in the underground? My guess.. It's Halloween and they are the "SPOOKY" villian group. As to why the YOU KNOW WHAT are there.. the Devs gave us all a chance to earn a Praetorian badge without starting a character in Praetoria.. HAPPY HALLOWEEN :-D

For **** sake, how many buildings in PI have a set of 2+ doors on them? Isn't there one directly across from those apartments? I think this boggles my mind more than them getting on your case for asking nicely to begin with. But then again, if they can't even kill the mobs they are trying to steal, me looking for some kind of logic seems kind of foolish
To answer your question.. Yes there are Hundreds, maybe thousands, of doors in PI BUT the whole idea of putting together a 7 or 8 man ToT team is not having to run all over creation to spawn mobs. On a double set of doors each person on that team can click twice before the door shuts down to them for a few moments. That means an eight man team can click 16 times before the door stops working and by the time they battle all the mobs that will spawn the door has reset and the first person to click can go again. The OP created a team and they weren't botheing anyone just playing the game for the badges, salvage, ect.

Using your logic the culprets here are the 3 man team that felt the need to push their way in and try to take over that ONE set of doors in PI when.. as you said ... there were plenty of other ones they could have used. These events have always managed to bring out the JERKS in game and anyone that has been around a while can testify to the fact that 50 levels used to ToT in places like Mercy and Atlas park. They were only interested in the Halloween Salvage and drops so they'd click on doors and if a mob actually spawned they'd just move off and leave it there for some poor 3 or 4 level to discover and get one shotted .. This prompted the Devs to alter code so no one could ToT in zones not appropriate for their level unless they exempt down.

There is no TOS that says that door belongs to THAT team but its common courtesy to respect the fact that a team is using that door and use one of the many others in zone rather than being a A** and forcing your way in. The team that insisted on pushing in to use THAT door and then resorted to name calling in public chat were rude and OP has every right to be upset.
