  1. To be honest after ????? I have lost track of how many Lambdas I don't think it would help if the set up code that made the player's costume turn HOT PINK and the skin LIME GREEN! Every trial I have been on there always seems to be at least 1-2 players that either are not paying any attention at all or have no idea where to look to find the powers in their temp tray. Personally I hope its not paying attention because I find it hard to believe a player could get a character to 50 level and have NO clue where power trays are ... Then again they got a character to 50 and did ?? HOW MANY TFs? to get to 50 (+1) and they still don't know how to listen and be a good teammate?

Of course my heart goes out to some players for the effort they put out. The leader clearly states team 2 will go after grenades but they wind up on our side looking for acids. It must have been a tremendous challenge for them to level a character to 50 since they can't even recognize the number 2 <---- for future reference guys its the one that looks like this LOL maybe they were sick the day that was covered on Sesame Street??

    I Demand....

Okay I am willing to test and be certified to wear the Helper tag but only if I get the ice cream, chocolate syrup and the sprinkles..

PLUS I want a specially designed costume made available to all Helpers and a 6th costume slot so they don;t lose any of their other slots to maintain and wear their "100% Officially City Of X Helper Uniform".

I want 6 months of free access to the game.

I want the ability to open and slot all of the additional Incarnate powers NOW and when everyone else has them I want 3 more that only us helpers get so we is even MORE powerful..

After all we are the elite and all knowing HELPER SQUAD!

LOL .. okay I'm willing to negotiate. I'll settle for the ice cream, syrup and sprinkles.
  3. You can play however you please but to be honest the sytle of play you describe is old and not used very often these days. Now for WHY...

Auto Heal is an END waste.. I am not saying you'll wind up with no end on Auto but if you walk in the door of a mission and put Healing Aura on Auto it's going off constantly and in many cases your team mates may already be at 100% health or as mentioned by others here.. No where near you. Why waste end you could be using to Fort or CM team mates or to use your attacks to help end a battle before anyone NEEDS heals?

Also at this point an EMP with Healing Aura set to Auto is viewed in one of two ways by a large number of players .. 1) You are a NOOB and need to learn how to play the game or 2) your too lazy or involved in other things (in Real Life) and are cruising on Auto and stealing XP, INF, etc. What can happen is you get a reputation and suddenly its hard to find teams. The other tactic you described where you put yourself on Follow and just blindly follow the Tank plays into the same attitude ( as #2). Now not only are you just running around healing constantly but you can't even be bothered to move your own character and just trial along behind the tank. Keep in mind I am not saying YOU do that but if people know you are doing those things some if not all will be thinking things like that.

Its really not a great idea to auto follow anyone. There will be times where that tank you are following makes a sharp turn in a building or especially in a COT Cave and suddenly your character is bashing its head against a wall trying to turn and follow. Some maps make this a very ineffective way to help your team. you did mention Heal others which is a very good solo heal but is also line of sight. If your trialing along behind that tank who has the most Hit Points of anyone on the team and in almost all cases the best defenses.. When the need arises to use Heal other to keep another team mate alive you may be out of position and now instead of heal you are using your rez.

If you constantly play with the same people and they know your style and have no problem with it.. Who cares? Do what you like but if you are like me and PUG a lot especially on TFs and Trials you may want to try a new approach or there will be team leaders that don't invite you and some that may even kick you from their team. I wanted to come on and give you some Semi Logical reasons for why you may want to change your style .. Not just rant.. "you suck don't do it that way" LOL Oh my NO ONE would ever say anything like that HERE!

    Fixes for Lore

Okay doing this one at a time...

Reduce the damage of the boss pets. I agree let's look at around an 8 minute recharge time. I base this on the Arachnos Blaster Pet I got with my Crab Spider as an Patron Power. That's often enough so that after summoning and being able to use it for .. (what was it 5 minutes if I recall ?) you have a relatively short wait before having access again. Similar to what you seen now on normal pets like Phantom Army, Sigularities, Etc unless they are enhanced for faster recovery.

Buff the support pets. I'm sort of 50/50 with you on this one. I understand not wanting to see the pet you just summoned die ten seconds later but this is a risk with any pet. I have MM that no sooner rez their pets and attack an AV and POW.. all three of the lower level minons are history! As for doubling the heal I am for that but wonder if the Devs will be.. They are already giving us a buff in Destiny that in some cases also heals and a debuff in Interface. Add in the buff and present heals available from Lore and they may take the stance that increasing Lore's heal would make us all TOO powerful. Personally I'll take all the power I can get but knowing a bit about their thought patterns I don't know if they will ever do that.

Reduce the damage of the boss pets. "Heresy!" LOL Sorry I want all the damage I can get.

Make pets not die with you. now bon't take this the wrong way but aside from Gang War pets that Thug MMs get I don't know of any pet off hand that doesn't die when it's master does. Seriously doubt you will ever get them to consider this.. It would sort of be like a Blaster asking to have powers that would still fire off and do damage while they were face down smelling carpet.

Make the Radial Superior support pet able to attack I don't see any problem with this it's just a matter of getting the Devs to adopt the idea. /signed
  5. Thumbs up! I enjoy the new trials and its fun to be part of a huge team. I have done both of the new 20-40 level TF/SF and thought both were well written. I absolutely love the new maps involved with Sutters TF.. the battle damages sewers that lead to a devastated Skyway City were amazing

Of course being able to add not one but 4 more new incarnate powers is great.. half way down that "LONG" road to being as powerful as Stateman.

The new league Q is getting a real workout and I have seen it used for both trials along with Mothership raids, Hami Raids and COP Trials. I think overall most players love this new inovation to the game.

LOL while a couple of my SG mates that are casual players are still a little confused by the new thread system for crafting incarnate powers I was suprised how quickly I caught on and how easy it was to get 5 players, as of now, to a point where they have all 4 new powers opened and all slotted to tier 3.

Of course not everything is perfect..

Lag has become a real issue on the BAF especially and I have turned my graphics way down to keep from constantly crashing.

At times the reward tables seem a little unfair and while supposedly not geared toward damage inflicted more than team participation. I did a Lambda the other night where i helped with every outside mob including the guns, helped smash all but 1 containment chamber and even helped with a couple weapons crates... Then we started battling Maurader and the lag arrived . I dc'd and got back JUST in time for mission complete. I was actively involved in all phases of the trial but wasnt't there to pound on the AV.. I got the dreaded 10 threads reward table.

Oh and after getting 5 characters through opening and slotting 4 new powers I have now seen the Mother Mayhem Cut Scene well over 100 times.. PLEASE if there is a GOD let us shut it off LOL

The good stuff more than makes up for the bad..
    BIG THUMBS UP!

Proceed that set of instructions with this...

OKAY SO DOES EVERYONE KNOW WHERE THEY ARE GOING?

YOU THERE. WHY ARE YOU GETTING READY TO HEAD INTO THE TRAINING AREA AFTER ACIDS? YOUR LEADER CLEARLY STATED TEAM TWO GOES AFTER GRENADES

OMG CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHY THERE ARE 12 PEOPLE AFTER ACIDS AND ONLY 4 TRYING TO COLLECT GRENADES? YOU DO REALIZED YOU WILL NEED THOSE GRENADES TO BATTLE MAURADER RIGHT? NO THE TEAM LEADER DIDNT SAY IT WAS A MASTER RUN AND EVEN IF HE DID .. YOU STILL NEED TO FIND ALL TEN GRENADES YOU JUST DONT USE THEM SOMEONE NEEDS TO GO HELP OUT TEAM 2 .. THEY HAVE THREE BLASTERS AND ONE DEFENDER. CURRENTLY THE ENTIRE GROUP IS WAITING FOR THE DOOR TO THE HOSPITAL TO OPEN AND NO ONE IS GETTING ANY GRENADES!

HEY! STOP FIGHTING MOBS AND CONCENTRATE ON THE GLOWIES OR YOUR LEAGUE WILL MORE THAN LIKELY FAIL THE NEXT PHASE OF THIS TRIAL.

AH GOOD YOU HAVE ALL THE ACIDS. NOW TEAM ONE GO HELP TWO COLLECT GRENADES.

EXCUSE ME? CAN YOU FOUR EXPLAIN TO ME WHY YOU ARE OUT HERE STANDING IN THE SPOT WHERE MAURADER WILL SPAWN INSTEAD OF HELPING FIND GRENADES? THOSE GRENADES WILL HELP YOU BEAT THE AV.. DANCING IN HIS CUT SCENE DOESNT HELP ANYTHING AND JUST IDENTIFIED YOU TO THE REST OF YOUR TEAM MATES AS MINDLESS JERKS!

TIMES IS UP! SO HOW MANY GLOWIES DID YOU GET? 2 ACIDS AND 1 GRENADE? WHAT WERE YOU ALL DOING IN THERE? UMMM MAYBE YOU SHOULD ALL JUST QUIT NOW AND REORGANIZE WITH PLAYERS THAT CAN FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. WHY? CAUSE YOUR ABOUT TO GET YOUR BUTTS KICKED DUH

hehehe Sorry I loved you post and just HAD to add this in light of the mass confusion that normally erupts during the glowie phase of a Lambda. Oh and I do think my favorite arethe players from team (?) that complete their portion of glowie collection and instead of assisting the other team wait outside to be in the Cut Scene. Always a real pick me up to the team that may have been getting killed right and left by mobs TRYING to get the glowies on the other side and now their league mates are dancing with Maurader instead of taking time to help. ABSOLUTE BEST.. League Leader was the one that went outside and was in the cut scene while the other 15 looking for grenades. If I recall that league broke up RIGHT after mission complete.

/signed A while back this idea surfaced and I think it would be a great addition to SG bases. I'd also like to see a mini console in bases that gives members access to Wentworths/Black Market.

What is the advantage to these two ideas?

Offers more services to the SG members all in one spot

1a. With the addition of a market interface SG members would have everything they need to craft in one spot. A Vault to store extra salvage, Crafting table to build IO enhancements, Storage for enhancements crafted but not needed immediately and added access to the Markets allows members to purchase salvage or recipes and/or sell salvage, recipes or crafted enhancements.

1b. Addition of a mini tailor shop similar to what we see in the RWZ.... no actual shop just an NPC tailor to click on while allow members at any level and in any zone with a portal to alter outfits without the necessary trip to Steel, IP, or FF(Hero side) Cap, St M (Villain Side) or the RWZ / Pocket D (either side).

What it does for COH and the Devs...

    1. The addition of the Tailor will allow SG members to design costumes in bases and cut down on the lag in zones whenever new powers or new costume pieces are released. Spreading that rush of players out to more locations would help reduce lag and keep the players happy.

    2. Again adding a WW/BM interface in bases eliminates LAG. Anyone that has been in Talos on a weekend in the prime playing hours knows how bad lag can get there. In that one spot you have WW, the train, The zone trainer (Luminary) and the TF contact (Citadel). To add to the lag anytime there is a Rikti or Zombie invasion where do the teams gather to fight? The hill side right across from WW and the train.. CAN YOU SAY.............. LAG!

Now let's really open things up a bit with this idea. Currently most base items are only available to SG members and some to Coalition members. Let's expand that to include any member on a team run by that SG. Then let's do away with some of the restrictions and make all of the following to all those listed (Sg member, Coaltion member, and Team member):

Auto Doc .. ability to purchase Respites and Catch a Breath at any time including TF/Trial and to sell Salvage and recipes.

Combat Logs.. Ability to purchase Break frees

IO Crafting tables .. OBVIOUS allowing players to carft IO enhancements

IO Vault .. storage of IO salvage

Teleport chambers .. presently the only item on this list that team members CAN use. Then add in the new WW/BM interface and the new tailor and your base just became a one stop shopping mart for most thing players need. It also allows all those players to do those things in a base and away from the usual spots.. once again reducing lag considerably.

These days we have countless players with Base teleporters from Vet rewards and even more that can obtain one simply by anging out in the right day job locations. By making these additions and changes anyone with a teleporter can be in their base, or the base of the team leader, quickly from anywhere in any zone and access all of these services.

Okay while I am fantasizing, since I sort of doubt any of this will ever come true, let's add one more thing...

A TRAINER This could be as simple as a small computer cosole that players can activate to train after leveling or an NPC like the vangaurd drill instructor that stands next to lady Grey in their base. Same reasons obviously apply.. adds another service the base can provide to players and Eliminates more lag in areas like TALOS or Atlas Park.

I was never a huge fan of the older content MO badges to begin with. Well not the criteria for them anyway. I like the new method where you complete specific goals to earn a Master Of Badge AND can do so over several TFs/trials rather than just one.

The old method took away a ton of powers I earned as i worked my way to level 50.. some through actually completing missions (Shivan, Amys, warwolves), some from vet rewards (Nemesis staff, Black wand, ect.) and some from recipes I found and PAID to create with INF or some form of merits (Vanguard Heavies, back-up Radios, etc). Not that I used them a lot but they do come in handy .. like a SS tank having a Raptor pack available to help battle the Arachnos Flyer in the STF.

Then the other requirement... NO deaths! One the few MO runs I let myself get talked into this created a whole new level of STRESS and at times some insulting strategies.

I know a lot of players that have stated in other threads like this that an MO run actually makes them alter their playing style because they don't want to be the one to ruin the attempt.. I am guilty of this myself. Depending on what I am playing I tend to move in and fire away at targets trusting my team mates to be there along side me and if we move fast enough defeating everything before it can hurt us to bad.. plus the Defenders and Controllers are buffing and healing us. I get on an MO run and suddenly I get cautious and at times THAT results in getting me killed where if I'd played normally I probably would have survived.

I've also seen some team leader with strategies that basically consist of.. "All of you sit here and don't move while we take out the bad guys. Now don't do anything HEROIC and ruin everything this is a Master's Run!" Yeah that really makes me feel like I MASTERED the Tf.. I sit in a safe place being babysat while two Stone Brutes run around defeating everything needed to complete the mission... THAT actually happened to me on a MoLRSF a while back.

If the new incarnate abilities are making the old content easier and suddenly more players are getting Master's of and actually getting to PARTICIPATE I say good for them! Now on the new stuff stuff I have characters with MO badges for Apex, Tin Mage and the BAF... still working on Lambda and I enjoyed getting them. Don't increase the difficulty.. chane the formate so its the same as the new stuff. Give us goals to accomplish other than Don't use temps/don't die!

I remember a veteran player that asked me why if i was level 50 i use the help me option and i answer me because this will be my firsts BAF and Lambda trials and i don't know anything about them, so i not gonna lie and use helper for that. Now i can use helper when it comes to the incarnate trials since i even know how the rules are for doing the master badges.

It can be a good idea but in my opinion help me and helper can't be based on the level of any character. It mus be based on their personal knowledge and there is people here who can carry that all the time.

If they decided to implement that, no problem with me either.

Good point.. Your right I never thought about that when I showed up for my first Lambda Trial sporting a helper tag. LOL I had done one BAF trial on Beta that failed on the escapee portion so I didn't even know how to finish that one.

Still a "GOOD LEADER" on those takes the time to explain what they want done. Heck that first week I was even on one BAF where the leader passed out URLs to a map of the facility showing the escape routes and explained exactly where her want us to set up to prevent it. After a couple everyone knows the routine so its just a question of who is doing what?

The same is true of any Task Force that requires special strategy to complete.. a good leader will make sure everyone on the team knows what he or she wants before that situation comes up.

I suppose everyone has their own opinion on what the TAG means but I saw it as a way to identify myself to new players with basic questions like the one post here where the player showed the new arrival where to find the trainer in Praetoria. Stuff like that used to require a player to broadcast zone wide and could result in being made the butt of jokes about being a N00b and that was if the poor player even knew how to broadcast! Fortunately that doesn't occur too often we have a very friendly and helpful community but while one player may be making a light hearted joke a new player with some BAD experiences from other games may take any joke the wrong way. With the helper tags that same new player can send a tell to ONE person that has identified themself as someone willing to assist and not tease. Of course that's assuming they know how to send a tell
  11. I've done Sutter 3 times now and I enjoy it. As for your concern over 20 levels suddenly being able to battle IDF... At some point every 50 level hero or Villain was a 20 level so why can't that be true of the IDF as well? The 54 level troops were tied up attacking Vanguard HQ, Portal Corp and Nerva (Tin Mage) and Kings Row (Apex) so the lower levels were called out to assist in Ind Port. There are 40 level Freakshow but how many of them do you see roaming the streets in Talos or Faultline?

I thought it was great that a 20 level has the opportunity to do a TF with more than One Arch Villain.

I do agree that the sewer battle gets a little intense.. Its been a while but I seem to recall missions in Praetoria where Ghouls and Failed Experiments were being groomed to become "Semi-human" bombs and really if you have run missions in Praetoria the now infamous Praetorian Ambush is very much like that.. when its over you look around and can't help wondering how did I survive THAT?

I have run both the new 20-40 level TF/SF now and enjoyed them both!

I sent a few tells. No reply. I explained the situation to the rest of the team and told them to take a snack break. We gave the person 10 minutes then I kicked them so we could continue the TF. There was no need for any discourtesy.

(I learned later that the person had an emergency with a family member which was addressed in a matter of minutes but caused them to completely forget about the TF. No big deal.)

Anyway, if anyone sent me nasty messages in a situation like that, I'd one-star them and attach a player note QUOTING what they said to me so I would later recall exactly why I would not wish to associate with them.

/AGREED 100% Don't feel bad over something you have no control over. I have been on plenty of teams that had issues come up just like IronBlade described and it was handled the exact same way. In some cases the leader even sent a note to the individual apologizing for kicking them. Those players that sent those "NASTY" tells had no idea what was happening at your home. I personally had one instance where I was sitting at my desk playing COH one night when someone knocked on my door. It was the fire department evacuating our apartment complex and they gave me enough time to grab my daughter and my cat.. No way I had time to run and log off the game. Now fortunately I was soling at the time and the game logged me out eventually anyway. ALSO very fortunately the fire was controlled and an hour later i was back in my own apartment. The point is when someone suddenly goes AFK no one has a clue as to why. For all those people knew you could have been having a heart attack. You have a medical condition which 99% of the time is controlled so BIG deal after years of good team and solo play that 1% finally caught up with you. If they are more concerned with the short delay in game play than in a team mates health (since they had no idea what caused you to suddenly disappear) then they aren't the type of people you want to play with anyway.

    Take care

Okay so not that I don't see you point but exactly how is this test administered and what Dev has the time to stop dealing with multiple bugs that sprung up from I-20 and/or working on I-21 to design a "helpers test"? I'm sure there will be players out there chosing the helper tag that have no business trying to HELP anyone .. Since they are pretty helpless themselves. But what classifies a player as worthy of helper status? I have going on 6 years in game, multiple 50 levels from almost every AT (Red and Blue side), my badger has completed every TF and Trial in game at least once and between the other 30 + characters I own I have done every one multiple times. And even I am willing to admit I don;t know or have everything memorized but I always have Paragon Wiki running in the background and if I don't know the answer I can look it up FAST.

But a player with 6 months in game and a grand total of one 50 level knows more than a player with 1 week in game so who is to say that player can be a helper?

Fact is I see a lot of players running with no title meaning they chose not to participate at all.. Know enough to play without help but no desire to be bothered answering anyone else's questions. So if a player is willing to volunteer to TRY to assist why limit them? HOPEFULLY they have enough sense that if they don't know something they just say so or ASK for help in chat rather than just make stuff up.

It does, you can convert the shards you earn in groups of 10's for threads to make the new stuff.

"Am I wrong in wondering what they were thinking?"

Yes I think in my opinion you are wrong.

Oh I can see his points to an extent. Sure you can turn 10 shards PER DAY into 10 Threads but it takes 60 threads to create a common enhancement and by just running the trials and converting Astrals you can create that same common in a couple trials not 6 days. Now on the other end converting threads to make Rare or Very rares can get expnsive as opposed to getting drops.. Not really an issue for me since several of my characters that ran multiple TFs to get the Alpha slot to tier 4 are worth more than 1 Billion INF but it could be a problem for someone with little cash on hand.

Now the temp powers are a small issue for the majority of us ... if the difference between failure and success is your Nemesis Staff you have serious problems with you build. Still one thing a lot of people here, myself included, have praised is the new format they came up with on the Apex and Tin Mage TFs for Master's runs. Gone were the standard No Temps/No deaths stuff and you actually had to fulfill set accomplishments. Now they still use that in the trials but suddenly every temp power we have goes POOF? Okay so on stuff like the COP using Nukes made it too easy so they managed to suppress JUST those powers. Frankly if I have a character with a Back up radio (Recipe temp), a Vangaurd HVAC (purchased with V Merits), an Amy (Reward for KHTF), and Shivan (Bloody Bay mission temp) why I can't rez those to help me battle Siege and Nightstar is beyond me. Hey they get reinforcements constantly why can't I summon the ones I earned or paid for? LOL

Still its not a big deal. I am on my 5th character working toward the 4 new powers and I haven't had a problem with my Two Blaster, Crab Sipder, Mastermind, or my Widow. I don;t know what he's referring to about Accepted AT??? I have been on teams that had every AT imaginable and no one seemed to care as long as all three teams filled for a BAF.

To the OP... relax a bit the Devs have already said we only have TWO trials now but have already promised us more and I am assuming since they also said that eventually Astrals would be able to BUY other things the new trials and any new powers we may get will use this same system.
  15. My SG ran it last Friday, before it became the WST, and no one on the team had ever done it before. We finished in just over 1 hour Like 1:02 or something I can't recall exactly now.

I have run it again this week that one lasted a little under an hour. Its a good TF full of unique maps and a few suprises .. Enjoy yourself and be ready for a good time!

Oh and the M Kal SF is great too.. also takes an hour or slightly less

I earned -all- of these badges back when they were set at their original values.

The point is that the Devs don't seem to have any problem with the idea of "devaluing" badges over time. All my effort to get those original badges doesn't really matter at this point. The game evolves and it is what it is.

Likewise I earned all the original no-death Master badges back before Issue 20. Obviously as time goes on and we get more powerful via Incarnate abilities those no-death Masters are going to become easier and easier. Sure on some level that kind of sucks, but at least you know when you got them for yourself. Ultimately I don't have a problem with older content getting easier as long as the Devs are able to continue giving us newer content that'll be even more challenging.

Basically, I would not hold my breath that your suggestion will be implemented. *shrugs*

Have to agree with Lothic on this one. Fact is if the Devs lowered a badge requirement it was either because they realized how difficult it was to obtain OR someone here complained enough to get it changed... My vote would be on the 2nd of those options.

Sure Masters of runs will get easier as our powers grow but that's the nature of the game. I have numerous character I WANTED TF Commander on and so I suffered through the 2+ hours of the Old Positron TF before it was changed. I'm not asking them to do away with the new TF and force everyone to do the old one.. Fact is I'm happy my newer characters can get the badge and work toward TF Commander without that long drawn out boring nightmare (Now fix Doc Q lol).

There are countless other advantages we have now that anyone leveling a few years ago would have kilked to have. Players leveling prior to May 2007 would have loved to have the added advantages of the IO system.. not just for the added power but the increase in wealth that resulted from Wentworth and the Black Market becoming a part of the game. And tghen in November of that same year we got our first taste of Purple recipe drops... Back in January 2007 just how many people were soloing GMs? I know Blasters that do it now. Hey I earned the right to create Hero and Villain Epics by taking a character to 50 level NOT 20.. still think it was more of a reward that when than it is now but I don't begrudge anyone that has a VEAT now simply by getting a character to 20 level.

With 4 new powers to use I am wondering how easy the APEX and Tin Mage TFs have become to accomplish and even to get the MO badges on. My badger still needs the Dodger badge to complete both of those. As new issues unfold things will continue to change and sure those older 45-50 level Tf will get easier and easier. WHY do you think they are creating new content with 54 level opponents standard? Face the fact we are incarnates and every power we earn is one step closer to making us Demi-Gods .. Stuff should get easier for us. If not the question is.. WHAT are those villains taking cause I want some of THAT!

Okay I will TRY that again but I did that when i made my first post and for whatever reason the icons would not drga from the pet window into my Icon tray.. maybe it was just LAG. I hope you are right

I'll be honest I am betting the Devs are sitting in a room somewhere saying .. "Oh My God what were we thinking saying we'd add more pets? From the posts we've seen 100,000 players want 100,000 different pet options!"

I can't imagine what they will finally decide on.. I suggested a while back on a similar thread they give us a Doppleganger option. So instead of Seers or Warworks, PPD or Arachnos we'd get the ability to duplicate ourselves with the same attack/buff options the current pets provide. Yeah I know that means thousands of individual pets but they already have missions where we face off against our clone so how hard would it be to apply that same code to make our Lore pets rez looking just like us?

    Here are mine:

    1. Reduce server-side lag.

Notable reliable examples include BAF escapees, canyon in ITF and mothership raids. This is particularly bad with people who have critical powers on medium to long recharge times. The UI says a power is ready to use far before the the server will allow it to be used. Sometimes powers take 2-15 extra seconds to activate after being pressed before they take effect making for very slow and annoying game play.

    2. Need up to 3 powers to be auto-fire instead of the current 1.

Consider making it so that at most only 1 damaging power can be set on auto to help minimize botting.

    3. Minimize/eliminate loading times.

I have a machine with 8 GB of memory, feel free to precache every adjacent zone and every mission that I have.

    4. Reduce annoyance of cutscenes.

After watching the same cutscene 50 or so times, they get really old. Also, being able to chat with friends or do any non-combat functions would be very nice. I'd suggest an option that lets the cutscene to be played in a tiny window while allowing complete use of the regular UI except for not being able to use any power or move. Even better would be to have TFs and Trials have an option for whether to play cutscenes that the leader can select when starting.

    5. Eliminate need to be in the same zone to start a trial.

Forming trial groups often takes much longer than actually running the trial and this is one of the major culprits. Being in a full zone while trying to get other members in is extremely painful.

Okay I will definately add my voice to #1.. This is something that has driven me a little batty for years. Fix the problems you KNOW exist before you add new stuff and create new problems!

Definately agree with #3 and I know from discussion on other threads that there are those that would disagree with this suggestion. But as mentioned these things may be cute once (and I do stress MAY BE) but when you see them again and again and again they get really annoying really fast. The first few characters I ran through BAFs to open Judgement and Lore were averaging about 10% of the IXP needed per run .. that meant around 20 trials to open both powers on each character.. OR around 60 before all three had them open. That means I have now seen Mother Mayhem, Siege, and Nightstar discuss strategy between 80 and 85 time since I have 4 with all of the new powers opened and am working the fifth. If we could vote to not see it prior to entrance it would be great.

Your number 5 sounds good but I am not so sure its an absolute. So you start the TF with 2 players still not in zone and then what? Start without them and firce them to miss some XP, INF, potential salvage/recipes and depending.. shards?

    Now one I'd add ..

Allow Vigilantes access to Villain bases while teaming RED Side and Rogues access to Hero bases when teaming BLUE Side. And while in there they CAN use the bases teleporters to get to other zones. This will streamline a number of TFs and make life easier for many players. I KNOW I KNOW technically a Vigilante is still a hero and a Rogue is still a villian BUT when they are on a team, TF or whatever, they are helping out either Heroes or Villains (again depending on side). Seems to me if your on a TEAM you assist one another and telling a Rogue he has to make his or her own way back from PI to Founders Falls for the final mission of Dac Kahn seems rude. No matter what that Rogue may have done in the past she is helping you defeat Reichmann at the moment so wouldn't it be a good idea to get her to the mission as fast as possible.. In my case especially since she's the only one with Inv and Recall friend that can get the team to Reichmann Fast!

And before anyone suggests it another "No" on getting rid of the ambushes from those missions.

But yes to the "Not now" button.

I agree with Forbin and really why is it so hard to do radio.newspaper missions in a level appropriate zone? Sure can't be transport.. now all the trains, Ferries and even Blackop Helicopters are linked so getting around from zone to zone just keeps getting quicker.. let us not forget the Ouro portal as well in that.

Oh and Sam .. Forbin IS right I have seen some radio and newspaper missions that spawned an ambush as well. Like him I never bothered writing down particulars but I have taken missions against Outcast in Steel and while I was checking to see if I needed inspiration OUTCAST that just happen to be my level appear out of nowhere and attack me. I've had Council show up in Talos and do the same thing. There are not many but enough and if you think there are not jerks out there that would use this as a new way to grieve.. Look at previous Halloween ToT events before the fix. 50 level villains roaming around in Atlas Park and Mercy.

Now I can understand the OPs point. You are a 41 level and your contact in St Martial or FF/Bricks just informed you that everything here seems below you. Now you have to run Newpapers/Radios in Grandville or PI and of course they don;t care that there are areas where the street gangs are 4, 5 or 8 levels higher than you. For a couple levels you take a chance on a trip to the Hospital just getting to YOUR mission. Its actually safer inside. LOL Still its a part of the game and if anything it emphasizes the point Forbin makes.. You don't like having villains 4 levels higher than you trying to kill you as you TRY to get to the door of your mission. IMAGINE how a 3 level in Atlas Park feels turning a corner and staring into thr face of a 50 level that can one shot him!
  21. I think it sort of varies from day to day and even hour to hour. I have logged on looking for a BAF and seen 4 people advertising they were building Lambdas and of course hours later when I may actually be looking for a LAM everyone is building BAFs LOL I have even seen leagues switch gears between missions.. Did a successful BAF but 10 or more people left when we exited. Instead of spending another 40 minutes trying to replace all that we recruited a couple more and did a Lambda!

I don't know if they'd but into the idea of adding a third team to it though. I think the whole idea for part 2 is .. one team goes for Acid the other for grenades. Although a third team could easily split up and assist both or even enter one side and attack the IDF troops roaming the corridors adding some IXP. I wouldn't be opposed to a team # 3 when dealing with Maurader.

Yeah this is another issue with the whole Base oriented mission start thing. Hero side you lose the ability to recruit Rogues and of course Villan side vigilantes. Now for me this isn't a huge issue I run the trials with a couple of SGs that enjoy hosting and I simply switch to a character that can get in but I've seen a number of trials where someone joined and then discovered that they could not access the base. That caused another delay as we had to stop and re-recruit to replace that member.

I see two solutions to that.. Change the format slightly and allow Rogues to enter Hero bases/Vigilantes ...Villian bases OR as someone suggested switch the trial to a Q based mission like the BAF and LAMBDA. No special mission computer or teleporter required just sign up and log into the system. Of course I know that second would upset a lot of SG bases that spent the prestige to set their bases up but it would make accessing the trial a lot easier and adds addition players to build teams .. heck form up in a coop zone and villains and heroes both can be on the same trial!

/em runs and hides as the SG leaders throw stuff at my head lol

I only averge 5 Threads on Baf reguardless of were thier pulled to, doens't seem to make a differnce. So a possiblity of maybe.. maybe a extra Thread. Vs a automatic Astral (which can be turned into 4 threads).

Yeah.. I know were I liked to pull to. Tennis Or just kill them at thier spawn points hehe.

And after all the Bafs I have been through, Im not conviced its "easyer" as everyone keeps saying. Seems more Apples to Oranges then anything else.
First off BeornAgain outstanding choice of mentors I have run numerous BAF and Lambas with Y2King and Cimm and you could not ask for better. They have the strategy down cold and make it fun!

Now.. Breog there is a smple way around your problem that I've discovered since people started pulling to the helipad. Stay close to the building and let the ADDs spawn in front of you while you wait on Nightstar and/or Siege. The tower doesn't seem to have the range to reach that far and you can sit there and attack all day unharmed without disabling any towers. LOL of course like anything else you actually have to get 20+ people to listen to you and DO what you ask for that to work. Its funny how they can seem to grasp the majority of a plan but little things like..

"Don't attack Siege UNTIL we pull him to Northstar" or "Don't use the door fly over the wall when we enter or wait for TP and we can aviod the cutscene" By the way since I have never once seen an entire team pay attention to this I have no clue.... Does that actually let you avoid the cutscene or is that wishful thinking? LOL

What I enjoy about the new strategy of pulling to the helipad is it allows everyone on all three teams to share in the IXP from ADD and AV kills. On several characters I have run through the trials I was lucky to get 10 or 12% of the IXP needed to open a power. This new set up has increased that dramatically and allowed me to open powers faster and with less trials! NOT that I don't like the trials but 10% a run meant I did about 60-80 of them on early characters just to open Judgement and Lore. THAT is a LOT of trials and I had to sit through a long cutscene to start every single one /em rolls eyes and sighs heavily!
