  1. I think mainly its been the Incarnate system for me. Getting 12 characters to tier 4 on Alpha and now working those same 12 to at least tier 3 on all the new powers consumes a lot of time.

That aside I think some of the things already mentioned have soured me to AE a bit..

WAY too many horrible FARM arcs to shuffle through trying to find anything good to play.

Thanks to the "I made it from level 1 - 50 in 3 hours" gang the nerfs to XP etc don't help either. I can run normal content outside the AE building and level much quicker.. Unless I want to run one of those awful farming missions which I DO NOT.

Dev's choice missions aside you mentioned the lack of DROPS and yeah that contributes as well. Hey I can go run an ITF and in an hour pick up shards, a component, tons of INF and a potential Purple drop that I can either slot or sell (for a TON of cash). So what is my incentive for running AE? Less INF and no drops at all? I hate to sound like a Influnece monger but while this game isn't as bad as some that require constant grinding to acquire the "GOOD STUFF" we do still require a good deal of cash to outfit our characters and be capable.

DEV'S Choice?? okay I have a few casual friends that do AE writing and I have run some Dev's choice missions and came away with the overall impression.. "Just exactly who thought THAT was better than what my friend created?" I'm not saying they are all bad but frankly some of the ones I played did not impress me at all.

Let's not forget that Going Rogue also opened up not even one but two whole new worlds to experience and explore. My badger has every Exploration and History badge from the many Paragon City zones, Rogue Isles zones and Praetorian zones. In addition she's gotten the various defeat badges available in them and as of today has completed all but 1 blue side respec trial .. before the day is out she will, once again, have done every trial and TF available in the game.

I'm not trying to bad mouth AE.. I enjoyed creating stories there and running arc created by my friends but all the things I stated above are potential causes to the decline in the number of players heading to the AE buildings. Like many others times changed and the new content simply pulled me away like it did many others.

we got a third trial to run .. people were screaming for more content because of the repetition with only 2.

They improved buffing for a number of sets to make life easier and let people actually enjoy playing the game again.

We got a new system that will allow us to share threads, A & E Merits etc with our other characters

and your only comment is essentially .. Unfair it will take forever before I can buy the new armor? Don't get me wrong the new shinies look nice and eventually I will acquire them but I am pretty much happy with the 5 outfits I have on my 50 levels now so I'll be slotting other heroes as I can long before I worry about the AURA trailing along behind me.

I know what you mean.. Lag has sort of forced me to stop doing the BAF and about the bast I usually see on the Lmabda is uncommon and OCCASIONALLY a rare .. very very very occasionally. Hopefully that will change but until it does at least we have a lot of new stuff to enjoy.
  3. You have gotten a lot of great advice so far.. follow it. Find a bio you love and a costume and build from there. Don't be afraid to experiment... I had 2 years in when it dawned on me i still didn't have a single 50 level. Something inside me just sort of clicked out of a combination of desire and mild embarassment and I picked a character i enjoyed and stuck with her until I hit 50. The best part of that was when i hit those higher levels for the first time I enjoyed the story arc I was involved with, the villains I was battling and the strength my character now had to deal with it all. I have 5 and a half years in now and 24 characters at 50 or higher (incarnate level shifts )

The early 20s are tough for any AT... Until 22 you are still only able to use DOs and suppliment a bit with 20 level IOs. Your powers are still only partially slotted depending on how you go and it does seem like the woman in Atlas battling the Helllion for her purse could kick your butt at times. Once you pass 22 and can slot Single Origins things start to improve drastically. once you hit the 30s you start getting 3 slots per level and can really start to enhance powers and make them shine. Also around 32 to 35 you can start slotting IOs again.. I generally skip the 25 and 30 level ones since SOs are more powerful but by 35 it begins to even out and by level 37 you can slot 40s.. a 40 level IO offers the same amount of power as a 50 level SO. After that is just gets better

I don't know what you enjoy doing but my suggestion would be to TEAM your way through the 20s and get passed them quickly. Do the task Forces .. Sister Psyche at 20, Moonfire at 22, Citadel around 25 .. on a good 8 man team you can quickly find yourself pushing 30 level that way and you have picked up a few badges that lead to accolades like .. the Atlas Medallion and The Freedom Phallanx that will make you even stronger.

Its funny you mention enjoying the first 20 levels but then stalling.. Most players seem to complain about the opposite. The hate those lower levels and find them boring and will do anything to push through them fast and get to the better stuff. I think if you can find that character you enjoy playing you'll get past the rough spots and by 35 be having a blast.
  4. Okay so don't get me wrong I enjoy teaming and enjoy the trials for the most part.. I am very happy with 2 things that will occur in 20.5

    1. A new trial .. cause I have done the two we have now WAY too many times.

    2. the ability FINALLY to shut off the cut scenes so we can just do the mission at hand!

But this whole Solo Freindly thing that obviously someone in marketing dreamed up confuses me. Solo friendly TO ME would be, as mentioned here by some, Incarnate arcs that award IXP, shards, threads, components etc... required for a player to open and slot the various powers now available only by running the two trials.

All these vouchers do is allow me to grab my favorite character(s) and run the same trials over and over.. then buy vouchers which I can email to me other 50 levels so they don't have to run trials to become an incarnate. I can't gift or sell those vouchers to another player so they NEVER have to run a single trial on ANY character to become an incarnate I can only send them to myself.

Okay I do have more than twenty 50 level characters on Virtue and presently only 12 have any incarnate powers. this system will allow me, eventually, to open powers and slot them on the other characters without having to do all that TFing and Trialing again and again. But just HOW in heavens name does that equate to being solo friendly? Some character I own still has to actually do the trials to earn the merits and BUY the vouchers.

There are players out there that due to PC limitations or just personal preferences can't or won't team. One of the truly great things about this game is you DON'T need to stand around waiting for a team to advance. I have been telling people for years.. team when you can if you want to level quickly BUT solo when no teams are available. If you stand around for 30 minutes waiting for a team ... how many solo missions could you have completed? QUICK ANSWER .. in my experience about 2 or 3 maybe 4 if your fast enough.

Some players just like to Solo because it truly makes them feel SUPER. Sure there are plenty of super heroes groups in comics but we also have Superman (mostly a soloist), Batman (solos and from time to time is part of a duo), Spiderman (Somehow I don't think a sexy red headed wife counts as a team mate.. soloist). What these players are saying is UNTIL these trials and the incarnate stuff arrived it was possible to be BATMAN or SPIDERMAN. You could team but there was nothing preventing you from going it alone. And when they spoke up after the incarnate system began and asked about earning incarnate powers they were TOLD it was coming.. This hardly seems like their desires were fulfilled.

Little Billy Hero: "So explain to me again how this new stuff lets me solo and be an incarnate Marketing Man."

Marketing Man: "Well Billy instead of all your characters running trials over and over you just pick one and run trials with it. Then buy vouchers that allow your other characters to skip the trials and just add the new powers."

Little Billy Hero: "But doesn't that mean that one HERO will have to run an AWFUL lot of trials?"

Marketing Man: "Why yes Billy. in fact your hero will have to run tons and tons of trials to make this work."

Little Billy Hero: "But if that happens when do i have time to play the other 50 levels or my lower level characters?"

Marketing Man: "Well probably never Billy or at least not for a very long time until you slot all your characters or just stop and settle with the ones you have slotted. I mean after all so far those characters you mention are 5 powers behind but don't forget we have AT LEAST 5 more still to come. So really you will never completely catch up.. EVER"

    LONG SILENCE

Marketing Man: "Why are you crying like that Billy. We said we'd make the incarnate system solo player friendly. You CAN eventually have heroes that never ran a single trial and they can solo as much as you like and still have all the new powers. Hey we gave you what you wanted.. DIDN'T WE?"

    UMMMMM NO!

  5. Wicked_Wendy

    I'll be damned

Hmm lets see Arachnos Pets for Operative Tessa(crab spider) and Agent O(Night widow). Robotic Drones for T-Bot 0329 (Bots/DM MM) and I am think Nemesis minions for Icee Hotee (DP Blaster whose bio states she time traveled here from the 1800s where her former mentor had battled a brash young evil sceintist called..NEMESIS lol)

I guess the new buff idea is nice .. honestly I never had a problem buffing the old way but this will make it simpler... Now about that END issue!

The new stuff we can purchase with merits is nice but I am much more excited with the prospect of the vouchers. Finally a way for my MAIN to spend more time on line and still benefit my other 50 levels.

Overall I'd say for a X.5 update this is a winner.
  6. Here are a few web links that will help you with a variety of questions:

http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Main_Page Paragon Wiki is put together by players and gives you detailed info on everything from what each power can do to what missions each contact will give you.

http://www.badge-hunter.com/index.php?/page/maps.php BadgeHunter/VidiotMaps provides info on every available badge that can be earned in the game and what yoou need to do to earn them. Vidiotmaps provides prinatable and interactive maps of every in game zone. Showing where all the stores, badges, history plague, exits to other zones, transport locations and what bad guys are in what part of each zone and the level range they will be.

http://www.cohplanner.com/ Midi's Hero Planner lets you download a program that will let you plan out your character's build from level 1 to level 50 and shows you what you can expect to get out of each power based on the enhancements you slot into each.

And don't forget these forums. Many of the players here have build guides that detail everything from how to play a particular AT to how to successfully complete the most difficult Task Force or trial.

Someone else metioned it but it never hurts to repeat a good idea.. Find anyone in game that can direct you to the global channels that assist you. These may include:

Task Force channels- teams looking for members for every TF or Trial

LFG channel - just players looking for team mates to do everything from newpaper/radio missions to those TFs mentioned above

Badge channels - sounds like something you's avoid if you aren't all that into badges BUT every task force and trial in game offers up a badge so its another spot leader will advertise on when building a team. Same is true for many other things.. Giant Monsters = badges. Zone events like the Rikti Invasions, Zombie Invasions, Banner events and even Trick or Treat (Halloween) and Winter Events all offer up badges so when time permits leaders will advertise here if they are trying to fill a team.

HELP channel - LOL obviously a place to go to ask that question that is driving you insane! Oh that one is already in your tray you don't need to hunt for it

the BEST advice I can offer is don't be afraid to ask anything. This game has a very friendly community and while you MAY get one or two comments about being new .. You'll also get several that will actually answer your question and these could even lead to friendships and finding a new player to team with on a regular basis. OKAY let's clarify that was the second best advice.. BEST advice is HAVE FUN!

Yep Organica you and DrakGob have hit that nail squarely on its head. I'm actually a little suprised on one hand that THIS thread took so long. Why wait till the Trial has been tested let's start bad mouthing it as soon as we hear it was being planned. /em rolls eyes

I lost track of how many threads there were screaming that only having 2 trials to open the 4 new powers was awful.. too much repetition. We NEED more variety. So now as MORE VARIETY appears.... Why would anyone want to do that it looks hard?

As mentioned ... How about actually doing the trial a few times, devising strategies that work and OMG look we completed the KeyesTrial! Gob was dead on.. when the ITF came out... people were moaning it was too hard. You needed two tanks or a tank and Brute so you could keep the Healing nictus away from Romi etc, etc.. NOW? I have done succesful ITFs that didn't have a tank or a brute and you know what.. aside from chasing ROMMI a bit more (with no aggro control he tendes to run around a lot) .. we attacked him and not only took him out while the nictus TRIED to heal him but dealt with the ambushes as well. I wasn't crazy about the APEX until I learned to shoot and move. now i have several characters with Master of Apex.

Now on the the BAF and Lambda and I have to ask what severs are some of you on and who the heck are you teaming with? I can't recall the last BAF or Lambda I was on that failed. Where are these "GRIEVERS" coming from that have you all so worried about the Keyes trial because I am on Virtue and at this point have lost track of how many of both i have done and never saw ONE player that even remotely looked like they were trying to make us fail. Now there is no shortage of players that don't have a clue how to follow instructions and from time to time it truly amazes me that anyone can level a character to 50 and then even do mutliple TFs to open and slot their Alpha so they are 50 (+1) but still don't know how to search their power lists for TEMPS.

and the BAF is easier than the Lambda?

    1. BAF has a cut scene that ties up every player for 1-2 minutes before they even get inside the compound. Lambda has a much shorter cut scene that takes place at the conclusion of part two of the trial and when it ends you are transported to the exit area to use your acids and attack the Av

    2. BAF has two AVs that can either be pulled to one location to make battling them easier or battled seperately for a shot at a badge and added rewards. BUT at some point the BAF requires that both AVs be defeated within 30 seconds of one another or the rez at 100% health and you start all over again. the Lambda has one AV that only has to be defeated ONE time.

    3. BAF requires more players to be successful. minimum is 12 but most leaders look for three full teams. Lambda can be run with 8 but normally is run with 16. Two problems arise due to this.. First it takes longer to recruit three full teams. So players spend more time standing around doing NOTHING waiting for the league to take shape. Second .. 24 players with aura, ect going creates more lag than 16 does. I stopped doing BAFS because as soon as the excapee portion began I'd lag badly and eventually crash. On a 16 man Lambda i sometimes lag and occasionally crash but no where near as often.

    4. BAF has several timed sections that will cause failure if time runs out and it also has the escapee portion where if too many prisoners get away FAILED. Lambda has one timed section that if not completed you fail.. DEFEAT the AV. Sure the glowie portion is timed but even if you don't get all the granades and Acids .. the game provides more outside after Maurader arrives.. just go attack the weapons delivery spots and get what you missed.

Okay so some people don't enjoy the Lambda because it is tough on squishies... We'll lets go back to PAY ATTENTION from earlier. Sure a few people will probably wind up in hospital but IF the team stays together they can fight through the mobs, get the acids or grendaes and take out mobs around them for more IXP 9if needed). Frankly I like it because its SHORTER, takes less time to complete and less time to build a team for one 9most of the time), and doesn't have nearly the lag issues that the BAF does. Since the lag issue surfaced I have started 4 more characters on the path to tier 3/4s on all the new powers and I did it exclusively with Lambda Trials... I convert threads to IXP to open Judgement and Lore.

The new trial looks tough now but by the time it goes live the Beta Testers will have the strategies needed down cold and in a few weeks people will be posting threads about how its TOO easy we need a CHALLENGE!
  8. I enjoy both. Now let me clarify that.. Some of the older TFs that, as mentioned, run a team all over the city and require a lot of zoning can be a pain but the higher level ones like the STF, Kahn, LGFT and the ITF where you seldom if ever have to leave the zone the contact is one are great. Sure you finish one mission and then pop out and start over but .. the STF has one mission that requires you to travel to PI and aside from that all but the final mission are accessed through the sub.. and the final mission entrance is WAY over on the ship NEXT to the sub. people frequently get lost on that epic journey (LOL)

Kahn .. all but one mission can be accessed through the train which is what like 100 YDs away from where Doc Kahn is standing?

the ITF.. 2 of 4 missons are accessed through the ships tied to the docks .. one is in a cave someplace IN ZONE and the final has you access mission by clicking on the gates of Romulus' fortess.

LGFT. you never leave the zone and its just a matter of getting from one spot to another in the RWZ to complete.

None of these is extremely long and they all offer some special challenge..

I lose track but in the STF I believe in all you battle 16 or 17 AVs total including all 5 of the major signature villains (including Recluse himself).

Kahn .. 5 different Avs in the final mission all in the same room and Reichmann summons them individually to assist as you weaken him.

The ITF lets you battle Requim and Romulus in the third mission and then youo have to defeat Romulus mutliple times in the final to win the day.

Lady Grey .. You battle the Riders several times, take on a couple Rikti Avs and then take on Hamidon who is no push over even weakened before battling Hero one to end the TF.

The trials are a blast as well. I do enjoy the multi taskings and the format for Master of is great.. beats the heck out of the old one.

Oh lets not forget the two REALLY new TFS. Apex and Tin Mage.. I enjoy them as well and they are both short and you never leave the RWZ to complete them.

Now lets add more trials cause I am tired of watching Mother Mayhem show off her "assets"

Yeah what Organica said.. If its that important to YOU lol You go play lower levels.. Frankly I would be no help at all. 2/3 of my characters on Virtue are 50 levels and I currenly play 12 through the incarnate stuff. most of the rest ar in the mid 30 to low 40s.. and since they won't let me BUY any more slots I am not anticipating any rush of 9 or 10 levels in my near future.

Then there is the other thing that will probably drive you crazy.. I have 4 bases, 3 hero side and 1 villain, that have a series of enhancement bins stocked with hundreds of pre made IO for every level range and at least 3 to 4 salvage bins filled with a variety of stuff in case anyone is missing an item they need to craft an IO I don't have. So even if I was playing lower level characters chances are I woouldn't be running to the market to buy your stuff. Oh and with the email system being what it is now if I don't have something in one base I need I generally switch characters and check the bins in the other bases.. If its there I just Email to myself. I am NOT Market friendly at all.

HEHEHE I know I am NO HELP AT ALL... sorry

Yeah it has always sort of bugged me that the League doesn't share the XP, etc.. Now the newer tactics where both AVs are pulled to the helipad (the ADD Spawning point) does allow all three teams more access to both the AVs and the ADD and I did notice a significant increase in the amount of XP I got that way but still... If 24 peope are attacking the BAF then all 24 sould get IXP and share in salvage, recipes and reward drops.

Its in the 15-19 level range and you get it from Wyatt Anderson, Maggie green, Jake Montoya or Colleen Saramago. unfortunately its not part of an arc but a solo mission so you can't really access it through ouro. Also, I'm fairly sure the badge doesn't count Psychic Clockwork gears.

All true. And usually you can start the Synapse with no gear defeats at all and by the end of mission one on an 8 man team (mission one being one of MANY defeat alls) you have the badge. Its also quite possible on either the OLD POSI TF (through Ouro Flashback) or the New Posi Tf to get them even before you are high enough to do a Synapse. Oh and a gear is a gear.. Some lieutenants also spawn them when they die and while the BADGE says they have to come from a boss the gears from a lieutenant count.

And I can personally confirm that the Psychic Clockwork found in Tina McCintyre's arc in PI don't count toward the badge. I thouight they might years ago and when my progress bar didn't move I headed to Skyway and hunted them until I got the badge. I guess since those belong to an alternate dimension the don't count. The same is true of toxic Tarantuals that are part of the ROGUE group you battle in one arc in Grandville and i believe its also true of the ones in Warburg. The rogues are no longer a part of the arachnos army so for some reason THEY don't count and the ones you see in Warburg all seem to have been converted and belong to Malta. Funny they LOOK exactly the same LOL

Its so much fun to look back and remember all the goofy things we did when we were brand new and didn't have a clue what we were doing. Fortunately I hooked up with a SG very quickly when I started so a few of the things I have seen here I either did only once or was given a heads up and never did but everyone has something they did that qualifies as.. WAS I REALLY THAT DUMB BACK THEN?

Kudos to the OP. Can we get this poster some sort of an award?

"Hey guys, look how awesome we are now!"

People need to stop assuming that the word Overpowered is a blanket statement calling for Nerfs. Nobody here called for any nerfs, just one player being proud of an accomplishment. If that accomplishment isn't impressive to you, why bother posting?

    *Shrugs*

The original post the OP made.. I agree but what followed included statements like "They BROKE the game" "We were on Auto Pilot" Etc. Like I stated in my previous post sure if I take an entire team of essentially 50 (+3)s with tier 3 or 4 powers in all 4 of the new slots and do a 50 level ITF we are going to destroy everything in our path without batting a eye. But it is still possible to make a challenge out of it simply by increasing difficulty or even unslotting incarnates for the TF as others mentioned. And while his first post is definately not whiny it was the OP in a later one that basically said "We weren't even really trying." "It was like we were on Auto Pilot". While not a desperate cry to NERF everything those posts do come off like .. We are getting so bored because our powers are so strong now nothing challenges us.

Some of the other posters here have all but said they were on the verge of cancelling accounts because there are no challenges left. Well DUH .. MAKE new ones! There are purples out Blasters soling giant monsters, people soloing or duoing things like the ITF, and my personal little hobby .. Soloing Pillboxes in Recluse's Victory with my Crab Spider .. oh and for the record while it's even easier now that she has tier 3 in most of the new powers and a tier 4 in judgement she was doing the same thing before incarnate powers arrived. FTR Part 2... I have not spent billions on purple recipes on her in factI I sell those off for the huge cash bonuses. Tessa is my COH female version of Tony Stark .. a hero with more cash than she has any idea what to do with.

Yeah Gob is absolutely right. YEARS ago players wouldn't go near Lusca without at least two full teams and even then a lot of players hit the hospital...I personally recall one failed attempt where after numerous deaths we gave up and I left IP over 200,000 in debt. This was back before patrol XP could wipe stuff like that out in no time and i was a 20 level so I was working off debt for almost a full level.

NOW .. a single team can easily crush the giant squid and they were doing so before anyone had incarnate powers. I have seen posts here of a PURPLED out Blaster that has soloed almost every GM in game so a duo doesn't suprise me a bit.

    Let me get this straight.

    You gained new levels.

    You gained more buffs.

    You gained more debuffs.

    Then you ran...OLDER content...

And you think that makes you overpowered?

Okay, let me hit you with a little a clue-hammer here.

Well not so much a little one. It's a big one.

Exactly... what... happened in the past... when you got a mission at level 10, then went back and did it at level 15?

What exactly happened when you got a mission at level 15 and went back and did it at level 20?

Was it possible, however unlikely, that maybe because you advanced in power, that the enemies were easier to defeat?

Was it possible, however unlikely, that you were able to somehow complete that mission in much less time than you did before?

Maybe I just need to do that whole larger-text with different color thing.

THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE INCARNATE SYSTEM IS TO MAKE YOU MORE POWERFUL.

    hehehe /AGREED

I have seen a few threads like this one and my one big question is .. Have you heard of upping the difficulty? Now at times this may not be possible since you can't make every single TF leader run to a field rep and ask for +4 bad guys but I have done ITFs recently where everything we faced was level 54.

If the game has gotten TOO easy maybe you need to find ways to make it harder... not complain about getting more power. Hey here's an idea, sorry I am not a huge fan of SPEED RUNS, try not running past half the villains in every mission so you can just pound on what HAS to be destroyed to advance to the next mission. THEN while your at it up the difficulty to +4 ( I have found myself on speed runs where somehow the leader managed to set it to -1 to increase the speed.. GEE thanks my 30+ level character i was hoping to level on this loves that tactic!), and maybe even increase the number of mobs that spawn.

You might find the TF a challenge and even discover you get SHARDS, SALVAGE, RECIPES, including PURPLE ONES, and a lot more INF when you do them that way. The game has given us ways to increase the challenge if we want it. Sure if you are going to leave it set at 50 and then take an entire team of 50(+1) with tier 3 or 4 level Judgements, Lores, Destinies and Interfaces everything including the AV(s) will drop like flies. Make a choice.. Do you want it fast with a quick payoff or do you want a challenge.. with Incarnates you can have either.

I just think it's pathetic that the only way I can actually enjoy a story-driven or story-centered (IE, Epic) AT is to ignore the story as a first step. It's like going to a movie, just to put on dark sunglasses and earphones so you only see the brightest explosions. (And the only way I *can* stand playing these is Huntsman or Crab. Have yet to run a Widow/Fort and like it. And yes, I have gotten one of each to 50 - Fort and Bane - and have others sitting around. I have this thing about trying to find out WHY I don't like something, especially if there's choices in play... thus making more MMs after getting bored to death on my Bots/FF.)

BILL! now I am in tears LOL We agree so often here I suppose at some point we had to find something we didnt think alike about. Now story wise the VEAT "destined ones" leaves a lot to be desired no argument but I am more into performance than the canon behind the existance of my characters.. since i tend to create my own anyway. And about the only good thing I can say regarding the Destined One arcs is that eventually it allows me to kick Recluse's butt and then turn right around and do the same thing to Statesman. A lot of the rest seems like busy work. Rescue the seer, Steel the eye of Chronos, opps put BACK the eye of Chronos.. infect the computer. Destroy the list. And if I am a SOLDIER OF ARACHNOS why are more than half my missions against other Arachnos troops? LOL Does Recluse know just how screwed up his organization is? they seem to spend more time fighting each other than the good guys

All that aside my Crab Spider will still kick the crap out of a Kheld hehehehe

confirming Bill and i have known each just other for years and cause he likes Khelds and I like Veats doesn't mean we will be throwing tantrums at each other. The Man KNOWS way too much about this game! And i respect his opinions (okay almost all of them LOL)
  23. Gee guys can't a girl ask a question without getting picked on? hehehehe

I don't consider any of the 50s I leveled to be "WORK" but keep in mind I don't farm (well occasionally maybe to finish off one level before bed), I have never been PLed or PLed anyone else and take some degree of pride in the fact that I leveled my characters through missions both solo and on teams.. radios and TF/trials. My point was aside from those "AE babies" we all got to deal with that went from level 1-50 in a few hours the vast majority of us, okay I am assuming anyway, took weeks perhaps even months to get a character to 50 level. I personally suffered badly from altitis and I got my first 50 after 3 years of playtime. Now when i finally decided I was going to get a character to 50 the one I chose went from level one to 50 in about 6 weeks but that was still a considerable commitmnet of time and effort. I LOVED every minute of it and the last thing I was worried about was.. "As soon as I ding I can create a Warshade!"

Now to be perfectly honest Bill this is one area where you and disagree and you are entitled to your opinion. I know a lot of players that love them but frankly Khelds never thrilled me. I hated squid form .. too squishy and I spent time designing a costume so I could run around looking like seafood? I did like Dwarf but you had so few attacks you truely were just a MEAT SHIELD.. stand there and take damage while the rest of the team kills stuff. Human form had the best attacks but at lower levels was also vulnerable. And then there were the Void Stalkers and Crystals to deal with. "Hey congratulations on making 5o. Here try out this new AT that has it's set of bounty hunters looking to kill you. They will show up in any zone your in and in every mission you run. Oh and in most cases until you hit higher levels they can kill you with one or two shots. ENJOY! hehehe

Now on the other hand my VEATS don't have anyone out to kill them aside from whoever happens to be in the mission they are running at the time. I enjoy the numerous options available and the different ways to equip a crab, a bane a widow or a fortunata.. and let's not forget a Hunstman. Most teams I have joined seem very happy to have one or more providing added defenses and increasing the ability to hit targets. Okay so my FIRST outfit had to be an Arachnos uniform but they turned right around and made it possible for me to add a 2nd at level 10. To me it always seemed they put more thought into creating them than they did with the Khelds. Just my opinion and anyone is free to disagree.

Like I said I understand why they did it but while not a lot of people are voicing it now Back when the change first occurred this was the source of yet another FLAME war here on the forums with one side insisting it was no big deal while the other felt it was just another thing they were doing that took away a prize (?) for acheiving something and just haded it to anyone. .... to use another odd example in Port Okaes it used to take 50 Pirate Ghosts captured in the traps to earn a badge. Then suddenly the requirement dropped to 10. The first time I got that badge a team of 5 of us spent more than an hour, since they only appear at night, getting enough for the badge. NOW.. With Tessa I managed to trap 10 solo in about 15 minutes. Its not a huge deal and personally if they'd make it so you at LEAST had to get a 20 on each server you played on I would be willing to accpet that as reasonable. What they did was drop the level and keep the account wide stuff and now its almost a joke. But whatever.. I have incarnate stuff to do so.. Have fun all time to head back in game

Hehehe Okay I used the train but the first contact I hit in KR, as usual, tolf me I needed to talk to Dave Wincott. I didn't get any direction arrow and I must have run around for fifteen minutes or more before I finally asked where officer Wincott was and was told in the Hollows... next question.. of course.. "Where is that?"
