Eventually, a third leader emerged and suggested we switch to having an outside team, and we ran with that. So I kind of saw someone like this happening. It didn't make much of difference anyway, as I still managed to get most of my T4s done in about 3 days.

Yes, I overreacted. Yes, it was partially my fault for PuGing on Freedom (aka "slumming"). To be honest, I have no idea who used the power, as I wasn't on the outside team and can't remember the names of anyone who was on it. I never even got the ability to 1-star the guy so I could avoid him, and I've probably teamed with him since.

However, I'm hardly the first to post like this, and it serves no purpose to vilify me. In fact, posts about anonymous people doing or saying stupid things are quite commonplace in these forums, and generally are not seen as abusive or demeaning. Instead, people should try to learn from these threads. I know I was stupid when I first started playing (I distinctly remember making a barely understandable first thread and being laughed at), and the forums are one of the greatest sources to learn about the game, if you don't wear your heart on your sleeve. For instance, basic knowledge of the game seems pitifully lacking on Freedom compared to the other servers I've been on, but virtually no vet that has spent time on the forum has been one of those asking for "1 Tank/2-3 Healz pst!" (I made that up, but you get the point).

Part of what makes this game fun for me IS the fact that it is casual. I like the fact that I can make a build that can solo the hardest content in the game if I play with half a brain. To me, hardcore games are simply unfun, requiring tons of mental effort and constant effort, and all the effort is wasted when new content is introduced. I guess I play the game for a power trip. And that's fine. Just like it is fine that you like challenge. But don't condemn me for what I like, and I won't condemn you for what you like.

Don't worry about it Combat... players have been coming here to rant and let off a little steam after a bad mission/tf/trial almost as long as the forums have existed. I do it occasionally myself and here is how I view doing it..

I get a chance to vent and release any negative energy I have after whatever went wrong. MORE IMPORTANTLY .. I detail exactly what happened, minus anyone's actual name to stay within TOS, so that other players out there that read it can see what happened.. pass it along and hopefully learn from it. Trial leaders that constantly offer up warnings during instruction are a direct result of someone, somewhere passing along the result of what happens when somebody did (insert action that resulted in chaos). Players that enter a trial and know WITHOUT instruction not to attack say civilians during a TPN are a result of this same sort of thing. It doesn't matter if it here, on a global channel or during instruction from a league leader prior to entering a particular trial.

If no one ever vented their frustrations and shared their storied it would take the player base a LONG LONG time to learn all the little tricks required to succeed on the new Incarnate trials... This all starts with the folks that test on Bata passing along what they learn and then continues with teams/leaders experimenting and refining strategies until the trials become relatively easy and players with limited amounts of time to commit to the game don’t find themselves wasting time over and over on failed trials.
Do some posts result in the inevitable flame wars? YES lol unfortunately we have a huge player base and there are always those out there that think only 1 way of doing anything can possibly be right. BUT .. there are also a lot of folks that benefit from every "OMG look what happened to me on X trial last night posts".

I am with you Gob.. the group I run trials with stopped messing with telepaths long ago and just moves from building to building taking down technicians until we score po victories. Unlike you I dont remove anything from tryas. mainly because I can use them inside buildings, but I seperate single target from aoes and cones.

Also like you our group realized a while back that the destruction of the odd camera is almost inevitable.. come on we are fifty levels and the cameras are one levels LOOK at them wrong and they will explode. The destruction of a camera here and there doesnt spell defeat it just adds a little more time outside before heading into tpn for the first time. AND .. when you start to battle Maelstrom outside if you wait for the civilians to clear, once the public opinion victory is anounced formally, the civs all disappear and you can use any attack you like outside because the only out there to hit is the AV and the IDF that resond to reinforce him.

The way we attack a tpn trial after that initial battle outside, the ONLY one where you need to concern yourself with cameras, there are rarely any times where players cant use all their attacks.

I am with the Captain on this one.. not that I would absolutely hate change but Atlas looks just a little too much like praetoria now. Yes its technically the seat of government in the game so it should look clean and shiny but with very little alteration it could be just another zone under the control of Emperor Cole.

Using the newer grahics I could see a small facelift to zones to make them newer looking but not a complete revamp. Kings Row is an industrial area with factories and warehouses .. its shhould be a little dirty and gritty not gleaming and with flowers on every corner. Steel Canyon is the busness district.. huge skyscrappers reaching to the clouds and lots of gleaming glass and steel. Indy port.. is, of course, a seaport with busy docks and huge warehouses.

If they want to CHANGE things start with some of the almost deserted hazard zones.. Boomtown is ghost town that players only visit when a tf sends them there or they take a fast run through to grab badges. The council occupy most of Striga and have a huge fortified base there.. why not do something similar in Boomtown for the 5th column. We all know they have plans to change Dark Astoria. I dont think zones like Terra Volta or Eden need any major overhaul.. change for no other reason than CHANGE is not a necessity!

If you really want the badge, you'll complain about it but you'll do it. Its another thing to make badges that require teams, like completing Positron's task force.

Combining the two is problematic because you have to ask an entire team to do something unrelated to the primary task. Even the old school Master badges asked teams to at least do something that didn't interfere with running the task force: don't die. You can ask someone to not die, please.

But Master of Keyes? That requires volunteer bunnies to hop around avoiding patches, an activity that isn't strictly necessary to complete the trial. And it requires a league to deliberately shoot at the thing you're not supposed to shoot at for the sole purpose of taking more damage for no reason. Master of Underground requires asking an entire league to give up an additional half hour of their lives creeping through tunnels and shooting at bombs instead of just setting them off and getting to the end of the trial.

When badging was something you could either do solo or do with a team where the badge requirements were nominally parallel with doing well at the team task in general, badging was at worst an extra activity that wasn't antagonistic to the rest of the game. But badges like Preservation Specialist put badgers in actual conflict with other players: others have to suffer for you to get that badge, and unnecessarily if they are not badgers. Master of Lambda has similar silly requirements that require asking an entire league to do something stupid just so the badgers can get the badge.

I think that's a problem. The devs need to institute a cardinal rule on badges: badges that require teams will not require degenerate behavior from the league. Badges that can be acquired solo can ask the players to do anything the devs wants, but badges that require teams should never require badges to force non-badgers to do blatantly unproductive things.
Totally agree and the best, or worst, part of the whole Incarnate master of runs is I have seen trials fail because everyone was concentrating so hard on accomplishing some rediculous task and forgot to actually focus on finishing the trial! Badges are nice but they dont get me any emps, astrals or threads I need to build the powers I want.. which is one of the main purposes of the trials to begin with. On Virtue a certain segment of the player base has taken to ignoring them, badges, and focuses on winning the trial... the general response to the question .. will we be going after any badges .. isnt just no its Hell no!
  5. I have to go with the invention system and the markets as number one .. I can recall when even attempting to battle a GM like Lusca required 2 and sometimes even 3 teams .. and even then if they didnt coordinate you spent more time dead than battling. Now with IOs some players solo giant monsters. Add the increase in overall wealth that allows us to slot early amd with the best enhancements available... I can still recall going back to revisit some older characters I had on another server and discovering that in the thirties they still were using double and even training origin enhancers because back then it was all most of us could afford.

Going Rogue, Vigilante, etc is way there on the list as well ... It opens up so much more content to a character and makes it much easier to find a team...... no one around on red side I simply head to the RWZ and go look for a team on the blue side. Tons more badges and missions to enjoy!

Newspaper and Radio missions .. Ive played long enough to recall when there was no such thing as ninja run or beast run and with no raptor pack a character had to RUN from mission to mission on foot. The only available content was from contacts that, blue side especially, delighted in send you off to other zones again and again. Worst part was if you made the mistake of soling constantly, which I did with my regen scrapper, it was possible to actually run out of missions before reaching the next level... at 19 I had done every mission from every contact and had to street hunt and run door missions in pvp zones to get to twenty so my contacts in Talos would speak to me.

Super Side Kick .. for me at least this was a real treat. Before if I missed a TF or trial I basically just forgot about it because the idea of spending several hours earning no xp just made it something I was not about to do. Now I took my fifty level badger and ran the new sewer trials just to get those badges and earned influnece at the same rate as if I was on a fifty plus Incarnate Trial. Most of my characters have the added advantage of Task Force Commander and even if I am just looking for a pug team.. if I cant find one my level I have no problem running twenty level missions with a forty level

Time Travel .. I had friends that were serious badge freaks years ago that would actively seek to hit the debt cap to make sure they didnt outlevel a contact before managing to coax a badge mission out of them. Now.. just head to Ouroborus and run it anytime!
  6. That actually sounds pretty cool.

The scientists are pushovers and only dangerous if you let them stand on the sideline and attack you with the power of SCIENCE! They don't take you down with the power of their furrowed brows.

Whoever is designing the Incarnate content needs to step back and take a good, long look at what Incarnates have become, then question if this really is where we want to go. Because from where I'm standing, by far the worst thing the story could do to us once we've become "godlike" is make everyone else ten times as godlike and have us get killed by very powerful rats... Pretty much.
    AGREED!

Now dont get me wrong I enjoy the trials. I am art of a grou now on virtue that gathers nightly and runs Keyes, MOM, the UG and then the tpn. The leader does an outstanding job of organizing and explaning and we rarely have any difficulties... except with the tpn. Now none of us spent a lot of time on beta learning the ins and outs of the new trials and we didnt spend hours pouring over guides developed by players that did.. in one night we managed to work out a strategy that was efective and started winning when we did MOM .. TOOK us a whole 3 tries to et it.

Last night after 6, 7 .. I lost count tries we finally beat the tpn .. and how did we do it...

we completely ignored the telepaths and the civilains outside

we completely ignored Malestrom except when we had to .. inside the building the first time and after we reached 5 hundred points of public opinion outside.

all we did was race from one building to the next taking out technicians and locking terminals... We left with all but 1 of the required badges for a master of and were done in no time.

Before that we tried to do everything we thougt we were supposed to do.. defeat the seers, try not to hurt civvies even when they were trying desperately to kill us, ran off Malestorm every time he appeared. the result was multile deaths, many at the hands of civilians with rocks, frustration over being forced to ignore half the attacks we had to avoid a cone or aoe infuriating a citizen, and time and time again watchig our po go to zero and losing despite doing all we could to win.

Oh I gaurentee now that we know how to beat it we will continue to do it nightly but my opinion is it still sucks!

We have spent countless hours earning powers, including our incarnates, only to be told on THIS trial.. dont use them you will upset the civilains! I was using my Assault Rifle .. Rad Corruptor and I had 9 attacks and was only able to use 2 of them outside.. and one was my sniper attack which any citizen with a rock can interrupt. Seven other powers including my tier 4 Ion Judegement were useless outside because they might hurt a camera or a civilain. Its worse than any master of run I have ever been on and we were not even trying for an MO. At least on a master run for sat the Statesman trial I could use allof my primary and secondary attacks to help my team. On this mess the best way to help my team is not attack at all.. yeah that makes sense..

I see this trial being nerfed.. overhauled down the road just like keyes was. But until then ill enjoy beating the crap out of technicians inside and letting the piblic do their own thing outside.
  8. I have started several characters since DFB arrived and used it on all of them. I generally stay for 4 runs to get all of the buffs and then head off to other things. This usually results in a character being around 14 or 15 so i head to Steel Canyon and look for posi 1 and 2... with my titan weapon brute that got me to twenty level in a hurry.

He has since done Synapse, Citadel, Sister psyche and manticore and is level 39 now.. one week after I created him.

  9. To be totally realistic based on the history lesson we got from the op.... a thousand man unit is brought to a place and because ONE of them showed cowardess during a battle .. one HUNDRED or one tenth are slaughtered.. Sounds sufficiently brutal to me so exactly what makes the difference. If I was the wife of one of the 99 men killed because one guy ran away Id be devastated.
  10. last night I was laying my new Titan Weapons Brute on Exaulted and after completing the required 5 radio missions I headed into Steel Canyon and keep getting the following error on my mini map

    http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/h...t_action=album

Here you see a normal view which I had whenever I was on the outside edges of the map

    http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/h...anyonsafe1.jpg

and here is what I saw every time I moved in toward the center.

As you can see the map switched from the normal city steets view to one that made it appear I was inside a building... or as you see in the picture somehow outside the building.

Now this wasnt a mission ending issue by any means but it did make locating vandals interesting and even finding the location of the side missions.. fortunately the arrow worked and I simply followed it plus I have done these bank missions so many times, red and blue side, I know where they are by instinct. Still it is obviously NOT right. has anyone else seen this on the SC or any other bank mission map recently. I can confirm that I have done Skyway with my brute as well and didnt have this same issue there.

There's various reasons you don't see it as much, I think. One, with the pace of battle you don't always see or hear people ding up, or if you do you might be busy with other things. Two, the XP curve is sufficiently smoothed out that folks get a lot of levels really quickly. I know in sewer teams it's not even worth saying grats, because everyone's leveling every two minutes.

I still see it, especially in the higher levels when leveling becomes rarer. But it's definitely an occasional thing, not constant.
This is an excellent explanation of the decline in hearing gratz as often as long ago... even before the Death from below trial it was almost a common practice to skip the constant .. GRATZ! ... every time someone leveled on a sewer run in Atlas. The mentality was .. Look we will all be leveling repeatedly and the mobs in here are BIG .. So gratz right NOW and lets just concentrate on defeating stuff and not dying.

And of course the .. sorry I didnt hear you ding is always and has always been an issue. I was on one team and the noise during a battle was so loud I leveled and even heard the ding but it was so faint over the noise I didnt realize it was me and typed in G R A T Z wanting to ackowledge the accomlishment of my team mate .. LOL when that battle ended I realized I had leveled and had just congratulated myself.
  12. I have never had this occur myself but tonight I did hear one of the league members commenting that he received a common instead of a rare or very rare.

As for sufficient particiation on the same trial I crashed three times and even had to relog twice during the trial .. died several times trying to catch u with the league and had to hit the hosital. But I was there till the end and did help defeat the Hamidon.. I was awarded a rare for my efforts.. so I see absolutely no reason why your team mate shouldnt have gotten a rare or VR.

Tell him to petition for it and I wish him luck. I know it can take a while for customer services to rectify those sort of issues at times.

The unslotters come in handy too When I hit level 47 with the brute mentioned above I was able to unslot and store a number of 45 level IOs in my base as I ugraded to fifty levels.

  14. Oh so another costume option or whatever.. thanks HyperStrike
  15. Okay I am not quite there yet but the heading basically is my question. At present I have earned 41 reward points and am one away from toing out of tier 9.... So does anyone know if they have any plans for what comes next.

Of course I realize there are items I can buy again and again.. slot enhancers, slot unenhancers, etc .. including multiples on the 4 minute summon signature hero... but does NC Soft have any plans for a teir ten or other things we can do with ourpoints once we have earned everything they offer us now.

Not a life or death issue by any means .. I was just curious

Okay its not a part of the actual on line experience but, as mentioned, it is a part of the service we are paying for and today I typed in my log in info, because I gave up on being remembered long ago, and after i hit enter was redirected to... another log in screen. Now when the game goes down andcant play.. I get uset. When the forums are a mess its just annoying... One big exception FIX the character copy feature or move it someplace else.
  17. Ill pick it up but I am not in any hurry. I think this is a result of a couple things...

I tend to enjoy playing my blasters, corruptors, controllers ect more these days and now that I am doing the whole incarnate trial thing I like them even more. I am not that thrilled with the lambda trial and refer the BAF .. on the BAF anything with ranged attacks, pets, holds, etc has a much easier time on the dreaded escapee phase. Tanks, Brutes and Scrappers run like monkeys trying to help out as best they can while my blasters stands in one spot and out damages them.

Also I played with TW on beta and it is a good set but they need more weaon choices... In my mind titan weapons look like something either handed down to us by the gods or stolen from them while they werent looking. Okay I like the axe they had and the sword but then it went kind of down hill for me.. I just cant see the all powerful Zeus, for example, running around swinging a railroad crossing sign he yanked out of the ground or Odin attacking with a steel pole that has a lump of concrete on one end LOL

Also I tend to enjoy anything that looks like martial arts so I am very anxious to see staff weapons. The REALLY BIG sword is okay but I am not dying to own it.
  18. No I cant say that I miss the old days. IOs and the market have made it possible for my characters to be much stronger and much richer. Yeah I remember the old days .. in fact at one point I went to an old server I used to play on to take advantage of a free transfer period. Some of those old characters had been dorment for a year or more and when I checked the slotting I was shocked to find thirty levels I was still slotting with training origin enhancers because back before salvage and recipe drops and the market that was all a lot of us could afford. NOW.. at level 22 every slot on any build I have has nothing but the highest possible single origin and around 37 level I switch from SOs to IO to maximize my powers.

Ive been around long enough to recall when having a million in inf was rare and now I have three billionaires and several more closing in on that amount.

As for teaming.. they are still out there and I personally love to join pugs and run radios, tips, etc.. and now we can even add the SSA content to that list.

I know there are players out there that do almost nothing but speed run through one tf after another or even live in the AE doing farms but thats what they want and they are welcome to it. I still solo, still join teams and do the TF and Trials as well. There are a lot more otions on how to play now and I see that as a good thing.

I agree and would add that because so many trials run the success rate is affected by the availability of players using characters that can control mobs and ones with tons of AoE. Ive seen teams with a couple masterminds and a few SoAs make the escape phase look easy. I have also been on pugs that had almost no control and a ton of melee and it almost always seems like at some point something slips through.

Imortant thing to keep in mind ... I have also seen leagues form that have done back to back to back mini BAFs and seed Lambdas on Virtue. At the end of the day when you have all the Emps you can get and a ton of Astrals .. losing one or two on a couple escapee at 4 threads er Astral hardly seems worth worrying about. Heck I have joined leagues that did a speed lam, mini BAF, full sized Keyes and ended with a full sized UG in just over 2 and a half hours.. I wound up with 4 emps and close to thirty astrals not to mention the threads and comonents.. I dont rercall caring a bit that 1 or 2 prisoners escaped.
  20. Hands down the most popular spot for iTrials on Virtue is the rwz. Between runs you have easy access to crafting tables, the store, contacts for inspirations and depending on which side fairly quick access to the market.. Cap is right out the door red side and Atlas isnt too long a trip on blue.

Occassionally you see trials start in pocket d, the midnighter club or even in cimerora but no where near as many as the Z.

As for globals I use as many as possible to advertise but Virtue TF 2010, Virtue TFs, Virtue LFG Beta and Virtue United Forever.

Now on to more pressing issues.. iTrial, iTrial iTrial hehehehe Okay Cien come get me. Note this is a warning to others less familiar with the Cien .. I know and have teamed with him and I am just too cute to get more than a smack on the butt. The rumors of players that have joined him on pugs and upset him ... then disappeared never to be seen or heard from again are real.... FEAR HIM! ..... NOT

    Costume Issues
Might as well start with the big one.

Things Females should have but don't:
    Tattoo options like guys
    Renegade hat
    Mars chest symbol
    Baron coat (Magic pack)
    Steampunk jacket (Steampunk pack)
    Gunslinger jacket (Gunslinger pack)
    Chaps (Gunslinger pack)
    Male Resistance style hair
    Male Barbarian belt
    Male Barbarian shoulder rings

Thing Males should have but don't:
    Bracers (Martial Arts pack?)
    Shoulder pets
    Venus chest symbol
    Witch hat(Magic pack)
    Female Resistance hair styles
Headband and tiaras under detail 1
    Female Barbarian belt
    Female Barbarian shoulder rings

    Animations
Females should have the same sit animation options as males

Please add the things you've noticed and I'll add them to this post and hopefully someone dev wise will pay attention and these things might get fixed
Okay let us start with one that Masterminds have been asking about for years.. Aside from some paranoid delusion that allowing us to have the option to have female minions will result in the end of the known universe. Why cant my female MM have female pets!

please let me clarify that years back the answer was that the dev team was afraid that perverted males would use binds or marcos to have female minions bowing at their feet and this would be very sexist. Then the same group churns out one costume set after another that denies females some very cool things the males have while giving us one scanty option after another.

What's made that fact so much worse is the awesome villain story lines we've gotten like Dean, Vincent, the tips missions, and the Mercy content now. They've shown us that they can really make us feel like villains if they put their minds to it. I'd be willing to bet that any villain Incarnate paths stories will probably rock, but the trials and everything else will always be the put aside everything about yourself and do something out of character. It's just never the Heroes that have to do it.

I understand where you are coming from but I think there are a lot of factors other than just .. the well of the furies involved in what we have to this point.

    1. There are plenty of comic book references where heroes and villains that were normally sworn enemies set aside their differences to deal with a greater threat. That said we know from all the lore we have been given that Cole plans to attack, devastate and enslave primal earth. Now in doing that we can assume he has every intention of defeating and destroying any being that displays powers that may challenge him and his forces. So the question is.. What good does it do to ignore the threat and rob banks, kidnap peole, etc.. if you know you are eventually going to be dead. So reason #1 is Self reservation

    2. As we all know NC Soft like many other businesses has made some layoffs in the past year or so do to the economy. There are less staff personel trying to continue the traditions established in the past 7 years. Despite that they have revamped the tutorial, given us 4 trials to daye with more on the way, are in the process of revamping Dark Astoria and continue to give us new powers etc along with the SSA that do provide similar but different stories for both red and blue side. So reason #2 is staff limitations.. imagine how much more work would be required to come up with seperate red and blue side incarnate trials

    3. While many players enjoy both the red and blue side the fact is there are a great number more players hero side than there are villain.. and I am using my experiences on Virtue...one of the servers with high populations, when I make that statement. A coop trial allows players from both sides to combine forces to form 16 to 24 man teams. If we had seperate hero and villain trials I think there would be times even on the servers with heavy traffic where a red side league would find it difficult to find 24 fifty level villains to run a trial. On servers with a lot less traffic the problem would be even greater. So reason # 3 is making it easier to actually form a full sized 24 man league to run a trial

    4. History of the game has shown that despite the arguments we some times see here players enjoy coop content.. It used to be the only time a hero and villain did anything together was during the events missions running out of pocket d. Back then people were actually here on these same forums expressing a desire for an increase in missions where their villains could team u with heroes. Then we got our first coop zone in the rwz. This turned a vastly underused hazard zone into arguably the most oular in the game. For the first time outside of a holliday event heroes and villains could combine forces to run contact missions and join a task force. Then they added Cimerora and the ITF which is probably the most run tf in game. So reason # 4 ... It certainly seems from the number of players using the content that the majorority of the player base likes doing coop content and it is good business to give your customers what they actually want.

It sounds like there will be options available when they convert Dark Astoria for seerate hero and villain missions that will allow a slower paced ascent to incarnate abilities but for now we have what we have and some enjoy it while others dont.
  23. Its not something that occurs within minutes of him spawning but unlike some GMs the Ghost of Scrapyard seems to spawn quite a lot and after dealing with the ordeal of as many as three Luscas in ip the Devs set things up to prevent things like that from occurring. I am not sure how often he spawns but if it is close to the time for a new one.. the old version disappears.. and doesnt care if you are in the middle of battling it or not.

I wasnt sure so I checked the wiki to confirm or deny .. did defeating x amount of Scrapyarders cause him to appear.. it doesnt by the way. I thought that might have been a reason for the despawns but obviously not. Thing is since they added the zone event announcements it seems like every time you turn around a new Ghost of Scrapyard is appearing so when the new arrives.. the old has to be gone. WHY they cant allow a team that has his health down to say 5% to finish him off rather than despawning.. I have no clue! YOU DEVS.. fix this!
  24. sadly yes... I have had this same thing happen to me before. Right in the middle of taking him down and suddenly poof. One time we were so close to defeating him I thought we had and was shocked when I didnt get the badge or reward merits for it.. then I discovered no one on the team did and when we investigated on globals found out that even if he is actively being attacked when the clock runs out Scrapyard despawn..

Frankly I think this should be addresses by the devs and fixed. I could see if no one bothered to attack him then allow him to despawn after x amount of time.. but if a team is actively battling him.. just let them deswn him for you.

But is it safe to assume that since the new DA will be co-op that villains will be able to get a teleport beacon to the zone?

And alternatively will the hero side teleport beacon send players to the echo (like the Galaxy City beacon currently) and thus require players to get a brand new beacon for the updated zone? Or will it send players directly to the new DA and the only way the echo is accessible is via Ouro?

Maybe the current beacon will even do both?

An odd detail to ponder, I realize, but late night base editing will do that to you.

This is pure speculation of course since unlike some I never try to assume I know exactly what the devs are planning but I would say when the new coop Dark Astoria arrives a new system for entry will be introduced that will accomodate both hero and villains. ... Similar to either the RWZ or Cimerora. My best guess would be something like Cimerora and this would become the only means to access the zone. The old DA teleport beacon your sg now has will become a means to access the ghost DA in the same manner as what happened with Galaxy City. It just doesnt make sense to do this any other way with causing confusion.. the other way we now find ourselves with two seperate beacons to two different Dark Astorias hero side.

Now there is another option... unlike what they did with Galaxy completely remove the use of the old teleport beacon in bases and the only available means to go there after plaques and badges would be directly through Ouroborus. At that point in addition to establishing entrances in a few zone on both red and blue sides a whole new set of exploration badges could be set for the new DA and acquiring them would also allow SG members to teleport into the zone from their bases.

I dont see a problem with either solution .. villains never had access to the old, soon to be ghost, DA prior to this switch so they lose nothing either way. Unlike Galaxy Dark Astoria has no contacts so there is very little that needs to be done to make this switch.. a few contacts and even TFs occasionally send teams there but those missions can easily be fixed to send players elsewhere to accomlish the same things. While it was great that the old SG beacon allowed members to access ghost galaxy without going through Ouro.. The biggest advantage being that now players dont need to ask anyone to lay down a ortal for them to get into Ouroborus and collect the exp badge along with Keeper of the secret. Now if you belong to a suer group at level 14 just head into ghost galaxy, make your way to the train station and ick Ouroborus as you destination..pretty easy since it is your only choice. Once there grab the exp badge and earn your own ouro portal summoner. Well since we already have that advantage through the old galaxy beacon we really dont need to clutter upthe base and use up more power and control having another telepad dedicated to a ghost zone. Heck if you are badge and plaque hunting and belong to an SG.. just hit Galaxy and use the train to get to Ouro and then go back through the portal on Ouroborus and grab the badges and plaques in DA.
