What grass you smoking.. most these peeps don't have a psi.. dom? I mean espically not a 2 billion worth Fire/psi. So you don't no **it. Keep rolling around atlas with you lame toons. Your Just forum jockey that it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Who would you be referring to, Elf? These peeps in this thread here? The peeps in the thread I mentioned? Why don't you pull your head out of Bud's rear and actually go read the forums before you short circuit your brain worrying about your precious 2 billion build (which you probably overpaid for).
And how would you know I'm in Atlas, unless you were there with your lame toons as well? -
Been reading the thread about the Dom changes, and there seems to be a sizable number of folks that actually have /psi doms that are happy with the changes overall, especially for working through the lower levels. Most said the set was junk until PSW anyway, and now it won't be with some smart slotting. And as others have said, the numbers on test now are not set in stone yet.
At least test it before you go, Doll. Don't just rely on seeing some numbers on a chart. -
[ QUOTE ]
WTF does tim have to do with this subject. Again easy to say.. its for the better for those that use the dom for income piggy bank... and not those that playing the market. They need to nerf the market and put a cap on recipe and Io's.
[/ QUOTE ]
Elf, what are you going to be doing with all the influence you're farming with your uber dom build, exactly? Oh wait, buying stuff in the market. What else can you do with the inf? Nothing. Find something important to complain about. -
[ QUOTE ]
You got PMS or something, HotFlash? No need to be rude or catty. Please do not presume to tell me what I think.
The point is the problem with the updater has been out since the last patch. Thats well over 24 hours and there still has not even been an official recognition that a problem does exist.Communication is key.
[/ QUOTE ]
I would think that the many threads about it, with more than a few people with a problem, should be warning enough that something is amiss, but then I'm one of the people that actually pays attention to things in the forums. Would you be satisfied with a "Yes, we're aware it's broken, and no, we don't have a solution yet, sorry" response? That's all you're really going to get at this point, because, as you said, it's only been 24 hours, and most of that time people haven't been at work. -
[ QUOTE ]
Good point ,Leech. However can you imagine the outcry if it was live? This needs to be corrected ASAP regardless that its on test server.
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you really think they're just sitting there in the office reading this thread and the many others, and just laughing at us instead of fixing? They need to first figure out what the problem is before they attempt to fix, so until they do that, we're not going to hear anything from them. -
[ QUOTE ]
some of those blind invited toon turn out be some good players.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, Blind squirrels do find nuts occasionally. Doesn't make the process less annoying for anyone that happens to be in a zone where the tells fall like rain. -
[ QUOTE ]
Run to the drones.. if I last remember you was the one on the floor while I did the rain dance and Fang I only attack squishy? better ask someone cause i kill tanker and scrapper as well. If you don't think you should show up in RV or ask for arena match? At least do kick ball or PVPEC PVP events.
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you enjoy being redundant, Elf? Here's what I just said, in case you can't remember two responses back:
[ QUOTE ]
If I recall, I told you you'd probably win, which you did.
[/ QUOTE ]
I never said I won against you. I merely stated your tactic of choice, which anyone whose been in RV has seen for themselves. It works for you....great. Just not much fun to play against. Which is why you find yourself lonely in there more often than not.
If you're basing someones entire worth by how well they PvP...all I can say is "Sucks to be you" -
[ QUOTE ]
Bring your damn Blaster WhiteHotFlesh to RV!
[/ QUOTE ]
Didn't we do this already, Elf? If I recall, I told you you'd probably win, which you did. So what would me coming in there again prove? A blaster against a stalker isn't much of a contest. Thanks, but I'd rather enjoy my time in the game, and that doesn't include watching you run to the drones. -
[ QUOTE ]
He likes the attentions.

Irony, thy name is ELF -
[ QUOTE ]
I heard teh BMT cool kids were talking smack behind my back. Kinda cool isn't when you can't defend your self. AGAIN ALL-OF-WIMP leader decline 1on1 or team. See I rather take it out the arena then broadcast. There no War in that SG, Just a PSM chick that even her own SG mates say the same thing about her.
[/ QUOTE ]
You claim victory when the person you challenged was busy running a large costume contest? No wonder you've got such a sparkling pvp record.
I've seen you in BMT, Elf, so either you're playing the martyr for no reason or you got yourself booted. Either way, no one's crying for you. -
[ QUOTE ]
I better reserve that sort of talk for the Pingu Channel only.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because the Pingus never post chat logs anywhere......oh wait -
Who won the fabulous grand prize last night? (the full build)
-
Grats to the winners.
-
Villain side was fun. Steel and I did our best to give out what Infamy we had until some better funded folks showed up. Did a couple of CCs, a couple of races, and a good round of Hide and Seek, plus just handing out inf whenever we felt like it. We had a lot of newbies or low veteran badge folks out there, including one that had just activated his full account today. We made a good impression on him, and gave him some tips for other things in the game.
I wonder if next year we could have a separate time for Villains, at least an hour, where there's nothing Heroside going on to distract folks from showing up. It worked fine as it was this time, but we could have had a bigger turnout if some folks weren't in Atlas instead.
Sorry for not getting pics. I was too busy trying to run contests. -
I heard some rumors of some key folks that will be late to the party. Is this true?

...Why have an anniversary badge then if you're going to water down its intent so much?
[/ QUOTE ]
And we come back to what the intent of the badges should be. Should they be a marker that shows that the character has been around for a given period of time, or should they show how long the account (player) has been around? If it's the latter, then why do we need both an anniversary badge and veteran badges? Don't they say the same thing?
If it's the former, then we need to decide whether they should be like the vet badges, which award the first time you log in after the proper time rolls over (or even during the current game session, if you happened to be logged in at the time), or if it should be as it is now, where you have to treat your characters as separate entities that have to earn the badge individually by logging each one in during the actual anniversary period. I view the anniversary badges as a keepsake for attending the big party, basically. A party-favor, or a door prize that everyone who comes gets to take home with them. If you hand out these favors to people that never attended the party, then their value cheapens. But unlike just going to a one-day event, the Devs are gracious enough hosts to allow us to claim the prize for a full month after the physical anniversary day. I'm not sure there's more than a couple of people that have sooo many alts that they'd never be able to log them all in during the course of said month, and even then, do they really need to have that badge on every single character?
The Devs need to decide what their intent for the Anniversary badges should be, and stick to it, whatever it is. I have a feeling they've already made up their minds, though, and it's what we have now. -
So if people want to spend their money by giving it away, that's something to frown upon because the people they give it to don't know what to do with it? WHO THE HELL CARES WHAT THEY SPEND IT ON WHEN THEY GET IT? And how do you know those gift-receivers won't know what to spend it on? And why does it matter to you one iota what they choose to buy for themselves and how much to pay for it? If you're a seller/flipper, as you called yourself, you should be happy as pie that there'll be a few more multi-millionaires out there to blow their wad on stuff they could get for cheaper if they were A) more patient, or B) more market-savvy.

[ QUOTE ]
Champions meaning the server in CoX , right? (Sorry I'm a bit of a newb still) I thought you were meaning that ... well frankly I'm not sure I understand this at all. Sorry!
[/ QUOTE ]
Means he's going to give it away in costume contests or just random acts of kindness to either SG mates, or random strangers.
I personally don't approve of this, as the inflated amount of currency in the game has deflated its value, and doing things like this only deflates it more-so.
For every billionaire that has made their billions flipping, crafting and marketeering, and not farming, I salute you. Not only are you pulling currency out of the economy via crafting fees and market fees, and not putting any extra in, only dealing with what's already on the market, you're also hoarding all that money you've earned, which will very likely never all be spent entirely by you, thus taking it out of the economy as well.
The billionaires that hoard their cash and do nothing with it increase the value of the influence/infamy by the simple fact that there is less of it, which is what this economy desperately needs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sounds like you have no clue how the market works, or the game economy in general. Characters make way more influence/infamy just playing the game than any moneysink could ever take out of it. If you really wanted to slow down the flippers and ebil market pvpers, STOP LOWBALLING THE STUFF YOU'RE SELLING. You are in control, not them. They bid what they do because they know there's people just dumping stuff into the markets for cheap. Take their profit margins down past a certain point, and it becomes a waste of their time, and the people that are buying because they want to use your recipes/enhancements/salvage will still be buying it.
And Iltat is doing something with his billions. He's spreading it out amongst the players. He and the Pingus do it every year. The only reason he builds up his kitty is to give it away. -

If you're playing with friends and having fun, who cares how long it takes? -
[ QUOTE ]
Dont get me wrong, I understand the reasoning behind the change, but genie is out of the bottle. If you didnt want to create a system that encouraged grind fests, then don't set the bar so high from the start. Attempting to cover one bad decision with another bad one just makes it even worse.
[/ QUOTE ]
So they're not allowed to fix anything anymore? Once it goes live, it should stay the way it is no matter how broken or overpowered it might be? I don't really think you understand their reasoning, if that's what you're getting out of it.
What they've done is realign the badges to fit the theme of MA, which was in place at the start: Enjoy creating and playing each other's missions. As the OP stated, it was never meant to be a grind-fest, and they realized that what they put in didn't fit with their stated goal, so they fixed it. I'm not sure where the problem is with that. We should be encouraged to try all the content that MA has available, not be forced to go find the two or three arcs that maximize badge earning potential and ignore 99% of the rest of it. -

I live in AZ - we don't do Daylight Shuffle Time.
[/ QUOTE ]
I lived there (Tempe) for a year and a half, and the schizophrenic nature of "we're Mountain, no, now we're Pacific" was one of the most annoying things about living there, especially when I was trying to coordinate playing with East Coast folks. -
Jester, I've got 100mil in infamy I can donate to the cause for the Villain contests, if it's needed. Just let me know.

[ QUOTE ]
I have to say I agree with Azrhiaz, I also gave up on bases... Why would they worry about fixing something that 3/4 of the people out there "think" is broken? All the whinners on champion server do is pull out their same ole crap... "lol, base raiding" They firmly believe it was still bugged.
I as leader of P.o.N Have taken part in over 200 base raids, and have not experienced a single "bug" since maybe around i8 or i9. Yet the haters continue to hate.
As a group, P.o.N misses base raiding badly. With a member base that excedes most sg's (we have 6 divisions, with 425 members throughout) We would on a WEEKLY basis set up raids against ourselves, division vs division if we could not find a raid against an outside sg. We loved it... always had a blast.
I have begged and begged, and I will say it all again....
PLEASE BRING BACK THE C.O.P. TRIAL.... BUT ABOVE ALL ELSE, AT LEAST GIVE US BACK OUR BASE RAIDING!!!!
[/ QUOTE ]
Unbroken for you does not necessarily mean unbroken for all, but thanks for trying, Bud. I participated in several base raids with a couple of different SGs that I'm a member of (couple of times against one of your groups), and the majority of the time, it was less than fun, mainly due to the lagfest in the base, and the predictability of the entry points. You guys had an organized system. Great. You had several divisions with which to use for raids. Great again. But your experience is far from the norm. You made the best with a deficient system, but that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be fixed. -
