When someone goes out of their way to find you a team if there was a snafu getting you on theirs. (or dropping out to give you their spot)

I've only got three questions when it comes to teaming and worrying about specific builds or powers taken or not taken:

Are the mobs still going down, and the mish objectives taken care of?

If there are team wipes, is it because of that supposed "gimped" teammate, or a combination of other things (like maybe the rest of the team not adjusting their tactics for the powers others have brought with them)?

Is everyone on the team still having fun?


Honestly, the only one that matters is #3, and if you find yourself the only one on the team that's not having fun, perhaps it's you that need to find another team. There is precious few activities in this game that require certain builds or ATs in order to accomplish, and that's probably stretching it a bit.

The only time anyone should be concerned with a teammate is when they're deliberatly doing things to kill the team or the fun. Not having Power A is not on that list.

Spending two nano-seconds looking for a team and then broadcasting in every chat channel they're a member of that a)they're bored, or b)no one wants to do anything.

Server status page on the boards is stuck on a date in June, or somesuch. There are several threads in various forums, or add-ons in posts requesting that they be fixed.


I don't care how often they go down, as long as problems are getting fixed. If they say the servers need to come down in ten minutes for emergency crashing reasons, I'm gonna believe there's something wrong (not necessarily with my experience) and just roll with it. I still get my money's worth each month, and then some.

Wow...only 10 responses to work PvP in there....someone's slacking.


Anyhoo...thanks for sharing the thoughts, Posi. Helps us get some perspective on time when the Devs say things are gonna take a while.

Got a level on a couple of higher characters, just soloing around, then got my dark/rad corr who was sitting at 18 forever up to 38. It's a lot more fun to play with all the nifty rad powers.

Really wasn't into this 2xp weekend as I have been for others. And it wasn't because of the constant mapserving.

Double XP weekend : Check
Lag issues due to more server load : Check
Players asking for an apology from the Devs for things they have little control of: Check


Yup. All is right in the world of City of.


This Double XP weekend has actually been fairly smooth compared to some. Virtue and Freedom were yellow (usually red or locked with a lowered limit) just about all weekend so far.

BTW my primary servers are Champion and Protector, so I got a double whammy, but I just rolled with it and did some stuff with my 50 on Triumph while I waited. Many of my fellow Championites rolled characters on other servers and life went on.

Putting all your eggs in one basket is good until your basket has problems. Wise men say to spread the wealth around some, just in case.

Bout 20 min or so, then start checking.....basically till the bacon is cooked enough for your liking.
