Server population down /= dying server.
There are still lots of regular weekly events being run, there are still tons of TFs being organized on the fly each day.
There's a million reasons why some folks aren't around as much, and most of them aren't worthy of crying DOOOM about. Get on some global chat channels and you'll see enough people to do whatever you want.
Champion is not the only server that is seeing lower numbers. It's just a fact of the life of a game. People come and go. Long-time vets take breaks to wait for new content. Stuff happens. -

In reading through this thread, it's pretty apparant we're suffering from a lack of concrete information about GR. I think it's about time to get some more info from the Devs.

Met with EXILES for a pvp match the other day and had to cancel it. You guys never learn, you dont challenge a 2 WEEK old pvp sg then show up with 7-8 Uber-Purple lvl 50's
You're the one that will never learn if you don't compete against people that are better than you. Ask anyone who plays a real sport, or plays an instrument. They want to practice with people that are better, not the same or worse, because it makes them better too. They learn tricks and techniques that work. -
Don't join a TF around dinner time if you're expected at the table. You can always find one later.

My general guideline that I give folks that ask about how long a TF takes is:
If you can't commit to at least two hours (for most of them), don't join. Yes, many can be done in far shorter time, but with PuGs, not so much. Things happen, people disconnect, parents want their kids to do something for a few min, etc, and speed runs don't always work like they should.
If you join a TF knowing that you'll probably have to leave in the middle of it for more than a bathroom break or answering a phone call, you should expect to be kicked, and surprised and grateful that you didn't. Even if you tell the team up front, and especially if it's a small team that's relying on each person to be there contributing, like a 3 man Posi. -
Alright. Let's go ahead and make it for 8pm central on the 3rd, which is next Thursday. I'll get the word out to my VG, and we'll see who shows from what you guys can bring. Hero, Villain, doesn't matter to me. Please try to bring as many high levels as possible. I'd rather not drag along lowbies that are leaching xp.
Form up on the roof of the building just south of Pylon 17 (the southeast one, closest to the base) about 15 min prior. We'll wait till about 5 or 10 min after 8 to see who shows, if there's not enough at 8 to start on the Pylons. Otherwise, grab a team as we go.

Greetings, denizens of Protector!
I was wondering on the possibility of having a scheduled Rikti Mothership raid on a Thursday night in the near future. My friends and I have a villain group that plays on Protector only on Thursdays (we all have other servers that we play on on other days), and, being the compulsive collectors that we are, are in need of the RWZ beacon to add to our base. Our group is only large enough for one full team, so we can't raid on our own without some difficulty (especially since not all of us have lvl 50s yet), so in order to gain the necessary badge on the mothership, we either need to organize a raid ourselves, or have one of our number join one that's already planned.
I can play my villain any day, but many of our members have a tighter schedule, and I'd really like to have them all participate, so a Thursday is preferable. If there are other nights where scheduled raids happen, I can join one of those, if you could be so kind as to let me know when.
We normally start playing by 7pm Central time, and play for a couple of hours till the group starts breaking up for other obligations. I've never led a raid myself, but have done enough of them to have the general idea, and usually I'm leading one of the teams.
I'd like to do this before Christmas, if possible. If there's enough interest to help, I'll be setting a definite date soon. Otherwise I'll just find a different raid to help with.

Turn on the following 2 options when starting the TF/SF:
- Enemies buffed
- Players debuffed

How to detect vets? Not necessary! What you should be concerned about is the competitors themselves. When they arrive right click them and check INFO to see if they have tons of set bonuses, if they do then they should be in a different category from those who don't. Really simple to do.
2 competitions - vet (with set bonuses) and new (those without set bonuses), simple.
Go back and read your anniversary back slap threads. You'll be educated in how to point out flaws in other people's events. You might also find something you actually said....something about bringing community together. How does having separate competitions, where the point is for the vet PvPers to teach things to those who aren't, gonna help anything? -

Nobody is such an absolute word, and usually used inappropriately. I am unsure what you mean about arachnos characters not being as popular though because atleast on freedom I see a ton of them.
Khelds still represent the bottom two ATs on the list of what people play. Then add in that there is really only one primary and one secondary for each, and you can see why the priority to work on their power customizing is set to low, compared to everything else. Looking at what Freedom is doing isn't really like taking an accurate sample of what the entire game is doing. Freedom is Freedom. See BaB's list for reasons why VEATs are thrown in there under "we'll get to it if and when we can." It's not about popularity with them, it's about needing more tech to make it work right, because the way their power trees work is different than everything else. -
