Hmm. I guess I'll have to get in on one of these with the new strategy.
Different is good. -
Quote:The majority of people that really care about graphics either already have a computer that can run it, or are planning on upgrading soon. There's always gonna be people playing on older computers, no matter what game we're talking about, and any new graphical updates will most likely pass them right by. This is why they're making Ultra Mode instead of Ultra Standard.
I know not everyone is excited about "Ultra Mode". I've seen posts from people who say their computer is an older model and/or simply not capable of any really good graphics.
My computer would be on the older end of the scale, and a laptop, so there's not much I can do about upgrading without buying a new computer, so I'll most likely be unable to see the shineys, but that doesn't mean I'm not excited about it happening. 6 year old games need to be updated graphically when the hardware dictates it if they want to be 7 or 8 year old games. Whether you can take advantage of it or not, Ultra Mode is a good thing all the way around. -
The drop rate on Cookies is horrible. Someone should PM a Dev!
Nice touch on the teabag :P -

Quote:If this is the case, there's not much you can do to gain story unless you run your own stuff, do those arcs again in Flashback, or go read some of the sites like Paragonwiki, that have all the text and most of the dialog from the missions.Part of the problem is that usually I'm not doing my own missions but rather someone else's in a big group. So I outlevel my contacts and I just get used to not reading the story.
I'd recommend reading the souvineers that you get from completing arcs, as well. But you only get them when you finish your own arc, so it's back to your original problem. -

Go up to the northern part, where Eochai and Jack like to fight each other. If there's a battle going on when you get there, help it along. After a few waves, they'll both show up. Otherwise, I don't think there's anything you can do to spawn them individually, and that battle can't be started on it's own, as far as I can tell. They're both on a random timer.

Perhaps this is a good time, then, to work on inter-personal communication skills (goes for all those who chose to lead in some capacity).
You may not think that what you're saying is offensive, or rude, or whatever, but to those who don't know how you operate (which in this case is what happened), you sure do come across as all those things. And for folks that are front and center as "community leaders" of Champion, that's not a good impression to make on folks that are new to the server.
Leaders don't have to be pricks to get their jobs done. Followers don't have to be pricks when they don't get their way.
This observation comes from someone who hasn't led big raids, but has been a part of enough of them to know what's going on during them, and has witnessed poor behaviour in the chat channels from both sides. -
Quote:I think it's you that needs to rethink what you just said. We've known all along that the two powersets would be available EARLY for those who prepurchased the expansion. Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning are tied into the Praetoria lore, so there's no question they go together. If you read Avatea's announcement, you'd also note that the purpose of the announcement is to clear up some misconceptions about how the preordering is going to work, and what's available when. The only thing we're preordering is GOING ROGUE. By doing so, you get early access to the new powersets. What's hard about understanding this?Ya I'm nitpicking. The title suggests GOING ROGUE EXPANSION, not access to two power sets.
Unless in your infinite wisdom & intellect all GOING ROGUE EXPANSION is consists of two powersets.
Sry, but I don't think you brain bashed me as well as you thought when you typed that response to me. -
One more thing I don't think people mentioned yet:
Don't worry about dying a lot when you're below level 10. 1) It's pretty much a given you will a few times, and 2) There is no experience debt until you hit level 10, so you'll level just as fast (minus the time it takes to go to the hospital and back, of course).
You've picked a good AT for a new player. Scrappers hit hard, and can take a bit of punishment, as long as you know their limitations, which will come with practice. Tanks take more damage, but the damage is low, so they can be a bit tedious at low levels. Blasters hit hard, but they die fast if you're not careful, and Defenders and Controllers are more about buffing/debuffing, with some damage mixed in depending on your powers.
Have fun, and don't be afraid to ask for help in broadcast. -
Time spent hiding in the Villain base doesn't count as playing, Elf. Neither does blind SG inviting for PoN :P
-
Quote:Not getting a beta invite is not a petitionable offense, anyway, Elf. It just means you're not a cool kid.Im not even going bother sending a petition this time... Just get let it be... Not sure who I have to rub to get invited! Damn I mean when think about Champion you can say you think about a ELF STALKER.... you can say im well known. and play many hours into this game.
-
Quote:This. You only need one of the three. It's been confirmed.
The requirements are "OR"s, not "AND"s. Any one of the three should be enough for an invite (provided there aren't other reasons preventing it). -
If you've got inf burning a hole in your pocket, overpay for stuff in the market. You're not using it anyway, so why not let someone else have something nice?
-
Yes, but there's Speed for Speed's Sake where once you're done, you're done, and then there's Hurry Up So We Can Do Another Speed Run so I get the best Merits/second.
The former can be fun most of the time. I love teams that don't necessarily care about the rewards, or about how much they're dying.
The latter gets old after about the first two mishes. There's little to no talking in team chat, there's The Way We Always Run This TF with no room for improv, and people tend to get stuck playing the same ATs because the leader isn't willing to roll with whomever wants to join. -
If you've had to go sit in the corner a few times, Elf, they're not going to be sending you an invite. That includes forum naughtiness as well.

Welcome back, Det.
Currently in closed beta testing is the new Dual Pistols set, and they just announced information for Issue 17, which will be coming in the spring, before the Going Rogue expansion in the summer. Lots of things are gonna happen in the next 6 months around here. You came back at a good time. -
This is not an attack on anyone who thinks the game is too easy, especially the TFs, but a simple question:
Why are you still playing a game you think is too easy/boring? Especially if you have little to no faith that things will be fixed to your satisfaction. The "there's nothing else to play" excuse might have been valid before, but not these days. I'm just curious as to why there seems to be so many people that enjoy the pain they put themselves through to keep logging in. -

So in this strategy, MMs are totally useless but for their secondaries?
Meh....
Good luck, though.
