If you notice the list of DC titles, many of them will be a few to several pages of actual story less, which means more ads....
I still welcome the change. I drop enough cash as it is in the store. If that means one or two more titles in my stack for the same money, I'll be happy. -
Aren't we going to consider the fact that maybe he wanted to leave voluntarily? Perhaps he got a better offer somewhere else? You don't let go of your senior guys without a good reason. Maybe it wasn't Paragon Studio's decision.

I'm chalking it up to a different voice being in charge lately. Posi is good, but it's nice to have War Witch pushing things in a different way.

For me, it's not that it's gold...it's that it's GOOOOOOLLLLLDDDD. It could stand to be turned down a mite in the intensity department. The char select screen is a worse offender. For me, you can barely read the names on it.

Quote:You've got no reason to think this way, so why say it at all? They've said absolutely zero about what's in I20, except that it needs extra beta testing time.
No. It is probably not landing with Issue 20 either. -
It probably has something to do with the game not really having a distinction between SG and VG. VG is a player phrase.
The PO registrar is effectively the same as the one in Atlas for rent purposes. -
Hmm...anytime I have UL I put it into Sprint, but I haven't seen any issues with the stealth. That's an interesting bug.

If the merits aren't worth doing the trial for, find a different reason to do it. If you can't, don't run it. Content doesn't have to be for everyone.
Frankly, saying reward/=time spent, and only talking about merits is getting real old.
This trial takes time and effort. Making the reward bigger doesn't change the fact that you have to develop strategies and practice. If it can't be done successfully every time you run it, I say great. It's about time there's something to do that doesn't have an easy button. -
Quote:Raids aren't everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I've done the CoP, we were successful, and if this raid were rewarded properly it would probably see a lot more use over on Justice. Hamidon, for example, is run at least once a week, oftentimes several.
The CoP takes time to learn and get the strategy down and optimized, but if the rewards were there, people would take the time to learn it. But as it stands right now, I'm taking my successful run and going home. Because it's not worth doing the trial anymore.
Say it with me, everyone: If you can't find a reason to do a task besides the little shiny or the merits at the end, you'll never be happy.
This is a social game, whether you like it or not, and when doing things that require being social, the rewards become more about being with fellow players and accomplishing something hard, rather than some sort of payment. If this wasn't the intent of the Devs with the CoP in it's current form, they wouldn't have set the reward so low in the first place.
Oh no, something requires time to learn. How is that a bad thing? -

The next episode looks to be full of win as well.

Quote:You weren't the only one that noticed that about the graffiti, but it's really a minor nitpick for me. Probably can't be helped since it fits the rhythm of the music.Nicely done
(Though I think cutting away from each of the posters/graffiti was done just a *touch* too fast, but that might be just me. Still worked.)
Well done as always, D_R. -
Quote:How is speaking truth "speaking for the Devs?" Is it only because it flies in the face of your logic?
As a random side note, it's always an amusing when someone speaks for the devs.
Don't see much I'd change about my Ninjas (have a Nin/DM at lvl 50, for quite some time now). The AI tweaks and the swap from arrows to shuriken have helped. I don't find them any more squishy than my Thugs. -
I think a lot of it depends on "why" there is a sequel in the first place. Is it just a continuation of the original story that the developers were time-crunched over and had to trim out (Halo 2 and 3, for example)? Did the sequel come out fairly soon after the previous game, or was there a reasonable amount of time between them? Is it because the technology exists to "do the game the way it was meant to be", like making the game for a new console generation?
Honestly, I think there's room for sequels. Generally, they keep development costs down by using a lot of the same resources. Many stories in original games lend themselves to sequels because there's a lot of loose threads, or minor characters that could have their own story told. I don't think any developer thinks that their game's life is done, even if they hadn't planned for a sequel or two. There's always something more to add, or more features that either couldn't be done at the time or there wasn't time for. They also provide revenue for more original stuff, so that's always good too. -
Wow....No Hush? No Long Halloween? No Justice?
Still a lot of good picks though. Should be interesting. -
The point is to let all the folks that have been complaining about not being able to purchase things properly know that a fix has been put in and they need to go check to see if their issue is resolved. They put it in the patch notes because the button in question is in the game, and not in the forums or some other place.

Quote:It's also sad when people think that complaining about topic B in a thread about topic A is "constructive".
It's really sad that so many people think that the "constructive" part of constructive criticism implies that it has to be positive.
This is about a contest, not about the 'State of Mission Architect', no matter how many people try to thread jack it in that direction.
There's better ways to complain about something you enjoy than forcing every thread that has MA or AE in the title to revolve around your concerns.
