Set bonuses, much like Vet badges, have nothing to do with whether someone cares about their character more, or knows how to play better than someone who has less.

Maybe the player wants to challenge themselves and stick to generic IOs.

Maybe they've been saving their pennies for Purples and didn't want to waste money buying regular stuff.

Maybe their regularly slotted character can play circles around half the tricked out characters in the game.

Maybe all those set bonuses don't matter much when you're running content that exempts you down.

Maybe all they do is run around on optimum teams and have no idea how to improvise when on a pug or with people they don't know.

    (you get the idea)

If they want to have that info available, fine, but at least make it legible and organized. I'd have rather they just left it out until they fixed it.
  2. Flashbacks to Mr Freeze's costume from Batman and Robin. Ugh.
  3. So when something was previously trivial to beat is now a challenge, that's cheating?

When you're not used to dying much, and you undertake something that kills you and your team often, that's cheating?

Y'all need to rethink a few things. If you want the game to stay stagnant, go play something else. The rest of us are glad they're going in a different direction. Every new TF since the original Phalanx stuff has been hard at first, and then got easier as people did it and found strategies. Why are these two new TFs going to be any different?

I'm sorry, but why should I listen to someone that has a nerd-rage on the average TF as it is tell me that a new TF is poorly designed? Shouldn't that be dismissed as much as a non-PvPer telling the PvP community how "they're doing it wrong?"

Play through Apex or Tin Mage several times, on different characters and with different teams, and then come here and tell us what's what. You don't know anything useful from one run except that it's hard. It's supposed to be hard. How they go about making it hard doesn't matter. It's harder.

I do not support the idea of a third build. Not because I don't think we need it. I actually think it's a good solution for the problem mentioned in the original post. However... and with all due respect... to expect an average player to have the resources to properly IO a third build on the same character is a bit silly.

For a while I considered myself a pretty hardcore player. I used to spend well over 5 hours a day playing this game. Granted, I really only have about a year and a half work of playtime under my belt. Anyway... I have never farmed and, quite frankly, I'm not entirely sure the Devs stance on item farming. I have multiple toons that are over 50 and multiple builds planned for each. The keyword is planned. I only have one build for each of my 50s, and even those aren't completed the way I would like them to be. As I said before, I'm a very dedicated player and have put in a lot of hours... but even I don't have what it takes to construct 3 complete IO builds for my characters. So... how can the average player even have a chance at accessing some of the tougher parts of the game? Especially with the Incarnate geared TFs being significantly more difficult?

The only way I could support a third build is if some of the standard IOs become more readily available to players. Either that or if there were some way to copy the IOs you already had... a certain number of times, anyway. Perhaps as a vet reward or something.

I can tell you this, though. Nobody outside of maybe Kheldians and Arachnos' will use all 3 builds for their characters. More than likely they will use 1 normal build and one for their Alpha. That's it.
Just because you have a tool at your disposal doesn't mean you have to use it. Why are we complaining about this again?

Just gonna drop the misison to not have to deal with that crappy frustration of it all. If they are going to do all of this then why not make it into a TF itself? I been saying that since day 1 because as it stands now it does require a group for the more squishie folk who do not abuse inspirations.

Is it too hard to invite just one person to help you (not even 7 more, just one)? It's not like there's not a ton of folks standing around in Ouro or anything, right now. Or have you pissed off enough people on your server that no one wants to team with you anymore?

In my opinion, another committee or event group isn't the answer. It often ends up detracting from the original goal, (events for Champion by Champion), by adding another layer to get through. It also then differentiates between x events (x being whatever the group is called) and events run by individuals. I don't think that's good.

I don't think what adorable name the group has matters, or what the motto is, or whatever. I don't think there should even be a group that formalized. I get it, some people like committees. Status and recognition, I get it.

What I think is important is that there is a support framework in place for events. So that anyone can come and say "I've got an idea for an event but I'd like help running it". I think the framework should be just that, a framework. Not an organization, not a committe, just a bunch of people who will help run events or run events as needed.

I think what would be best is that if someone really wanted to help events for the server, then they just put their name forward as someone to talk to for events. So if someone asks "hey I want to run an event but I've got questions/would like some help" people can say "chill ****, talk to @SuperpantsMcFly or @Ultrafabulous" or they themselves can volunteer as willing.

The primary focus should be the events, not the organization that runs them.
    The TL;DR version:

Let individuals make their own events (and don't compete with them), and have a group of people there for the sole purpose of helping the event go off as planned. What that help entails is defined by the event planner.

As far as the rest of your post, that does not support your "you are obsessed" ********. It supports the opinion that I may be wrong that this is a bad career move for her.

To show that I'm obsessed you would have to show that I've somehow thought about her or brought her up a lot and off topic continuously.

So you are factually wrong about me being obsessed. Saying someone is crazy when they are not is wrong and when they are is stupid, but it's in common parlance so I'll let that pass. And comparing someone to a murderer with no other characteristic that one would ascribe to him is just plain asinine.
You've made a dozen posts (out of around 50) so far, either emphasizing your dislike for Ms Munn's career choices or defending your minority opinions on said dislike. If you're not obsessed, you're (as you said earlier) "teetering".

Also, you can't be wrong or right if it's just an opinion, which is what your original post is. The facts to which you base your opinions on can be wrong (and several people have been pointing them out for you, which you choose to ignore), but the opinion itself is only that.

There is for Assemble the Team. I've turned it down many times when I'm close to the door by the time they think to use it.
  11. I just expect everyone to keep up as we go around, and pay attention to the chat window when the raid leader's barking orders. Not really that hard. I have Recall Friend on my main, which is much more useful for stragglers and those that die than a team TP when only one person needs it.
  12. My order hasn't changed much. The one 50 I transferred from a different server I put in with the rest of the 50s I have, which are at the top as I get them there. The rest are from highest level on down, which is usually how often they get played as well.

Spaghetti code. That's what this is, spaghetti code.
6+ years of it, mostly by people that aren't with the company anymore.

If you know the reason why it's happening already, why complain? If it were easy, they'd have fixed it by now.
  14. Why would you leave arcs half finished, no matter if you were switching or not? Pretty sure everyone knows there's an open arc limit, and if you don't, how is that the Developers fault?

  17. I wouldn't consider Green Lantern or Martian Manhunter tier 2s. They're too powerful.

To me, heroes/villains that are more one-dimensional in their powers are second tier, or guys that are usually in a supportive role. Having their own titles isn't enough, because bad writing can sink a character more than their power level/backstory. Plus they're only going to focus on so many characters at one time, and outside of the DC Trinity, or Spider-Man/Capt America/Iron Man, they're gonna rotate through the others.

The Power Analyzer shows you the same information you'd see if you looked at your Combat Attributes window.

As others said, one of the resource websites would be the place to find out what powers they might have.

I know the unforgiving crowd who haunt these forums is about to start chanting, "Well then don't forget who has what!" yeah I am glad that plan works for you, but some of us may have literally dozens of upper-level heroes AND villains, and it can get tough to remember exactly who has run what arc and when.
Most of us have dozens of both by now, and it's still not that hard to figure out which ones have and haven't. That's why they give a badge for it.

When was the original Green Hornet series ever serious? It was Batman with different characters. Bruce Lee made it slightly less slapstick than it could have been, only because of how good he was. I think your rose-colored glasses need an adjustment.

The trailer didn't look bad at all. Definitely not Catwoman level.
  21. To most people, asking folks out of the blue to join your SG is not wanted, whether you ask nicely or just blind invite them.

Why would you want to invite every person under level ten without even teaming with them once? You'll get much better responses if you just run a few missions with someone first, and then ask them if they'd like to join. Saves the trouble of inviting them and then having to boot half of them when they screw around. People are more likely to join you when they know what you're about first.

The respondent could have handled it a bit better, but it only escalated because you pushed it. Take their no and move on.

  23. Read them in the order they were released. It's the only way to keep the story straight. You're gonna have to go back and forth between Blackest Night, GL, and GL Corps at the very least.
